      Good for sensitive teeth!

I was after a new toothbrush and was in Boots browsing their toothbrush shelf. I didn't want an expensive one (especially the ones I could see priced £5+) and having had good experiences with cheaper toothbrushes in the past, I decided I would get an own brand one. I noticed this Boots Smile - Sensitive Toothbrush. The toothbrush is currently selling on the Boots website (and I am sure it is the same price in store as it was around £2 that I paid for mine. The toothbrush is designed for sensitive teeth. Its aim is to provide effective cleaning whilst being soft and gentle gums. The toots brush is 'see through' - it is made of clear plastic and the bristles are white. I have sensitive teeth - certain foods especially cold and sugary ones give me a funny sensation and make my teeth hurt. Sometimes when brushing my teeth (with a normal toothbrush) I catch the sensitive areas and it hurts. So this Boots toothbrush sounded good to me. Using the toothbrush is easy - just like any other toothbrush. Squirt a little toothpaste on to the brush and get brushing. The bristles feel very soft on your teeth which is nice. It is not a rough feeling at all. However, I think I got carried away with the brushing - because it felt so soft I had this idea that I could brush as hard as I could to get really clean teeth. Obviously this wasn't a good idea, as the first couple of times I used it my gums bled. Although it was more of the case of 'it's not you, it's me' kind of relationship with this brush. The next time (and times after) I promised to be more gentle when using this toothbrush and I can say that it's been fine after and gives a good clean. I like that the toothbrush is very light and quite small-ish as it makes brushing so much easier and doesn't make your arms ache which is good. If you have sensitive teeth then I would definitely recommend this toothbrush to you. Be careful though - and remember not to brush too hard! Thanks for reading! October 2011 Xdonzx / xd-o-n-z-x
