      A very good site

Who are 'Crazy Factory'? Crazy Factory is an online store which sells body jewellery at 'factory prices'. The about us on the site doesn't really exist though, they say their distribution centre is in Germany and the default currency is euro so I'm guessing that is where they are based. They sell to customers worldwide, both personal and business as they also sell some piercings in wholesale bundles. The site I first found the site on a google search when I was looking for some unusual nose studs that would actually stay in my nose as opposed to the dull and poor quality ones I seemed to endlessly lose after buying on the high street. The site is very professional looking. Confronted with massive pictures of various very pierced people and the tag line 'The best piercings you can buy for less', the effort had clearly gone into the look a lot more than the wording. There are four panels to click on highlighting various aspects of the site on the home page - these at the time of writing are - Explore New Products Special Offer of the Day Action Shots Collect Crazy Cash Points Down the side there is a menu of different types of product ranges, which you can click on to find what you're after. A good home page that is easy to navigate and looks great. When you are browsing the categories, the products are shown in a clear grid format, with good strong pictures and prices next to each. As I mentioned default for this is in euros, however there is a drop down menu at the top of the page which will convert the prices to any one of nine different currencies for you. You can choose to have the products displayed in order of popularity, price or number. When you click on a product you are interested in you are presented with an enlarged picture and description, which includes the material each item is made from, the measurements and thickness. I was very impressed with the pictures as they were very clear for such small items. The basket/ checkout system was also very easy to use with no issues. Action Shots At the bottom of each product page are 'action shots'. These are pictures that customers have uploaded of themselves wearing the items they have bought. I think this is a great idea as you get a better understanding of how the item fits and looks on which is sometimes hard to imagine with piercings as a lot of the item is often hidden when worn. Cash Points So why do these people bother uploading pictures after they've bought their things? Well to encourage this and repeat custom, Crazy Factory have a 'cash points' scheme which rewards customers for ordering and uploading content to the site. These points can them be redeemed for items on the site. For spending on the site you receive 5% of the order value in points and for uploading actions shots you receive 10 points. You can also receive 50 points just for reading the newsletter. There are also other promotions for extra points from time to time. Each 100 points is worth Euro1 and can be redeemed on anything on the site. For people like me who aren't overly pierced and would only place a small order occasionally it's probably not that lucrative a scheme, however if you have a piercing business and ordered your piercings from here it could be quite beneficial. Worth getting the newsletter though as 50 cents is quite a generous bonus. Prices Crazy Factory claim their prices are 'factory' prices and I must admit they are very competitive. I ordered a selection of nose studs from them and they started at just 22p! Even the gold ones you could get for little over a fiver! I really don't think you'd do much better price wise. Delivery Crazy Factory states that their products come from Thailand and are then shipped to Germany where they are dispatched to their customers so this isn't a company for those worried about their carbon footprint. They say they process 98% of their orders on the day of purchase and shipping from Thailand to customer is done within 4-8 days. They were true to their word with my order and I was very pleased with how quickly my item was received given the distance. Some places I've ordered from take as long when they are just a hundred miles away! Delivery is free for orders over Euro50, for all other orders it's charged at Euro4.90, however much you order and where you live. For me, this worked out quite expensive as I only ordered a few cheap items the cost of the delivery was the same as my order, having said that I'd have paid more elsewhere so it works out ok. The products Most importantly, what were the products like? Well I have to say I was impressed. The studs I received were excellent quality, fitted well and look great. I ordered three different coloured stone studs simply because they were so cheap, and some more unusual ones such as a spike and a heart shape that I was worried may look a bit in your face but actually look subtle and most importantly stay put! Conclusion Overall, I would recommend Crazy Factory. Their products are good quality at excellent prices and delivery is fast. I am very happy with my order and will visit the site again.
