This Moses basket has detachable covers and fitted sheets which are easy to remove and simple to wash and dry and put back on the Moses basket. The Moses comes with three detachable toys which are attached to the hood of the Moses basket which will keep your child amused for a while. This Moses basket is made from light material and has handles on either side of the Moses basket which makes it easy to carry around the home. However the Moses basket doesn't come with a stand so will need to buy that separate. The Moses basket is a good quality basket and worth the money. This Moses baskets is unisex so will suit both boys and girls. The Moses basket comes with an embroided cover suit is lovely and suits the Moses basket lovely. The down side the embroided cover is that it is a little short.
I bought the I love my bear Moses basket from babies r us when I was pregnant with my daughter, I bought it in the pink set. Only paid around about £30 for it brand new so thought that was a great price especially as everything is included. Unfortunately our daughter would not settle in her Moses basket very often and mostly us her pram but since sold this on to friend and their child won't sleep anywhere else. The Moses basket came with the mattress, fitted sheet, detachable hood & sheet to cover baby. The mattress was very firm and supportive and the nice pink sheet to cover was great, could probably have done with a few more coming with it for a newborn, but we bought a few anyway. The hood was a nightmare to stay up if you had moved it it always seemed to fall back down, so never touched once we got it to stay up. The sheet that's provided is really more for decoration as didn't feel this was warm enough for daughter especially during winter months. The Moses basket is designed from birth to 9kg, probably would be right but my daughter had definitely outgrown it by time she was 3 months but think this was just due to her wanting more space. The Moses basket is definitely a good buy especially when it is half price, I would have liked my daughter to get more use of it but glad I can pass it on for someone else to use it. This Moses basket is meant to be full price at £80 which I would never have paid for such Moses basket as there is more decent ones out there.
We purchased this for our newborn son which he is using at the minute . It is a good normal sized basket, but because he is long, we will be switching to a cot soon. The quilt itself is quite thin and bigger than my baby is so it does not get used yet as he needs to be at the foot of the basket. It is nice to look at and has a lovely design/pattern which matches the hood, sides of the moses basket, and the decorative bows at the sides of the basket. It came with a wipe clean mattress which is a must for vomit etc. It also included a cream moses basket sheet which was very handy as i had not thought myself to purchase any. The fabric at the side is soft and nice to look at. It will also prevent baby from any scratches of the wicker. Some other baskets do not have this feature which is a plus. The hood doesnt stay up very well but which moses basket hood does? Im sure it might after a bit of adjusting but it is hard to do due to the fabric at the sides. Also the material of the hood isnt quite long enough and the elastic causes it to spring back which causes the hood to fall. There are handles on the sizes are handy for moving it from room to room. Very happy with the purchase and would highly recommend it to others looking for something similar.
We bought this moses basket when I was pregnant with Hope. We bought everything from this range from Babies R Us including wall paper, a cot bedding set, clothing, teddies and a lampshade. This moses basket was just part of all the items we bought. We chose it because we liked the range and didn't think there was any other option as to how a baby slept, we thought all newborns slept in baskets so it made sense to buy this. As it turns out a moses basket didn't really work well for either of our children and so this was a bit of a waste of money in the end. The moses basket cost us £40 which we thought was good value for money considering other ones you could buy. It came with a mattress but we bought a different one as we wanted it to be better quality. It didn't come with a stand so we bought this separately. The basket comes with a little hood that you can pull up to help shield your baby. This hood has three little toys that hang down- a star, a bunny and a bear. The star, when pressed, plays Twinkle Twinkle which is really cute. These can be detached from the hood so used as toys too. We, however, struggled with the hood, it didn't seem to stay up and would keep slipping down and this would disturb Hope as she slept so we ended up just keeping it down the whole time. The basket is lined with soft fleece so it protects your baby from the wicker of the basket. This fleecy lining can come off so it can be washed, we would always struggle to get it back on again it was a bit fiddly. Babies usually fit in a moses basket until they are about 4 months old, some can last in it until they are older it depends upon how big your baby is. Hope really struggled to settle in this basket, whenever she would move it would make a rustling noise and it would disturb her. By the time she was about 3 months old her arms would bash into the side of the basket and it would make a noise that would disturb her or it would wake her just because there wasn't enough room. We ended up settling her in the pram of her travel system instead as that was more sturdy and didn't make the noise. This moses basket just wasn't for Hope so when we had our second baby we tried him in it too but we found that he was even worse, he is such a light sleeper so any little noise would wake him so if he moved a bit the russtling would disturb him. Although this basket is really cute with it's little toys and is very soft with the fleecy lining we just never really got along with it and it wasn't worth the money. Hope stayed in it about 3 months and our second baby lasted a few days before we moved him into another safe sleeping place. Not for us.
Before my little girl was born, me and my boyfriend made sure that we had absolutely everything ready and one of the first things that we bought was a moses basket. We initialy bought one secondhand but it was really tatty and unsuitable for use, so we decided to buy one from new. After a lot of browsing, we ended up buying the 'I love my bear' moses basket as I fell in love as soon as I saw it! I liked that this is releatively plain but not boring or too basic; the colour scheme is nice and 'calm' as well as neutral enough for a boy or girl which will be handy for anyone who doesn't know what sex baby they're having. Unlike a lot of other moses baskets on the market this came with almost of the accesories needed so we didn't have to shop around for the seperate bits such as the matress, although we did need to purchase a stand. At a reduced price of £38.00 instead of the RRP of £54.99 I knew that we were getting a bargain as it looks and feels such good quality. We bought ours from the Toys R Us baby department and this is the only place that sells this; the 'I love my bear' range is exclusive to Toys R Us. The moses basket doesn't come with a stand so we had to buy one seperately, but this didn't really bother me as we hadn't paid the full price - I think for the RRP of £54.99 a stand should be included but nevertheless I don't see this as a huge disadvantage as the quality of the moses basket makes up for this minor niggle. The basket is a good size - not too bulky (75cm long and 28cm wide) and it's quite deep which kept my daughter snug and secure. It's not too deep though and I was easily able to scoop my baby out without having to bend down or anything. The design of this basket is adorable - the cover has a large picture of a smiling bear and rabbit along with a smaller picture of a mouse laying of a half-moon next to a big blue star and some smaller, black stars. There's small writing near the top of the cover which says 'I love my bear, bunny and mouse. This is where we go to sleep together'. The design is really sweet and quite subtle. The basket is the usual moses basket kind of design and it's made from a pale beige wicker type of material which is very sturdy. The two handles on each side are also made from this material and it's quite smooth - the material is not harsh or anything despite the textured design. The handles are attatched securely to each side and transporting the moses basket up and down stairs was easy. The inside of the basket is fleece lined which is nice and soft and it feels lovely against my skin so I imagine that it would have felt very comforting for my daughter. The matress is quite thin but it still feels good quality and my daughter never showed any signs of discomfort so it must have been comfortable! We put her in this on our first night at home and she didn't really settle in it properly until she was about six weeks old as she'd sleep in it for chunks of half an hour at the most however once we'd established a sleeping routine she slept in it peacefully, although as she grew I noticed that she'd often bash the sides in her sleep as she often slept with her arms straight out. The sheet that is included is very lightweight and quite thin and my daughter would easily be able to kick it off if she wasn't swaddled so it was kind of pointless. Washing the matress cover etc was easy and the material stayed nice and soft. The basket's hood is retractable and we didn't have the hood up often as I found that it got in the way a bit. The hood comes complete with three small soft toys attatched to it which dangle down so that the baby can see them, although my daughter showed very little interest in them until she reached twelve weeks ish and she was only in this until she was just under five months old. The toys are detatchable which was handy . There's a moon, bear and star and the star plays a very brief and gentle tune when pressed. I found that after around six weeks the battery had gone in this and unfortunately there was no way to replace it. We got around seventeen weeks of daily use out of this and it still looks almost good as new minus a few fraying bits near the side of it which are almost unoticeable. The liner etc is still nice and soft and the design on the front hasn't frayed or become faded. I do recommend this moses basket but it's worth keeping in mind that a stand is not included.
When shopping for all of our first babies nursery furniture we instantly fell in love with the I love my bear range at Babies R us. We decided to buy the moses basket in this range as it looked more expensive then what it was (£39.99) and was also neutral as at this point we didn't know what we were having! The basket is made of a light coloured wicker, then there is a cream fleecy material inside which is so soft! The mattress lies on top of this, I was slightly disappointed that it was a bit thin. There is a hood which pulls up over it which again is a nice cream colour and has a teddy, rabbit and a star which dangles from the hood to entertain your baby while there awake and in the basket. You also get a little I love my bear blanket which is very cute! At first we were disappointed with the hood as it always seemed to fall down, however we soon learnt that there are 'screws' at the side if you tighten these a lot it will eventually stand up on its own! The moses basket and even the mattress which I thought maybe to thin didn't seem to bother my son. He looked as though he enjoyed it as he slept peacefully in it from the first night he went in it. By around 8 weeks our son had out grown it but he was a large baby and our second baby who we used this basket for as well was in it until she was four months old, so I think you get your money's worth. After two babies the one side of the wicker hand started to fold in on itself which is a shame as it started to look bent out of shape. I suppose though we cant moan as the £39.99 we had spent had got us through two babies! I would recommend this as it is a high quality basket which also looks stunning!
I bought the I Love My Bear Moses Basket from the Babies R Us section at Toys R Us when I was pregnant with my daughter - I had chosen the I Love My Bear cotbed so decided to buy the co-ordinating moses basket too. The moses basket is made out of what I would describe maybe as wicker, but toys r us states its a natural maize basket (something I have never heard of personally). The lining of the basket is a lovely soft cream fleecy liner for comfort and extra warmth for your baby. It comes with a mattress and has a washable cover over it which is a really good thing as I have seen a few that don't have a removeable cover so this is a real plus in my opinion! As with most moses baskets, there is a hood at the top end which can either be up or down, and there are three little soft hanging toys attached to the edge of the hood which are detachable - there is a little brown rabbit, a pale blue star and the I love my bear teddy which is in a cream colour. The star plays a very soft version of twinkle twinkle when pressed. There is a handle at each side of the basket so you can transport it around with ease, and these are made out of the same material as the basket. Finally, the basket comes with a cover featuring the bear holding a small toy rabbit. Specifications: Mattress dimensions: 65cm L x 29cm W Dimensions: Base 71cm L x 33cm W Colour: Cream Material composition: Maize basket, 50% polyester, 30% viscose and 20% linen liner Approx weight: 0kg - 9kg Mattress included: Yes Conforms to BS EN 1466 I used this moses basket both downstairs during the day and upstairs in her cot so we really had quite a bit of use out of it. When using downstairs I kept it on a stand, which was very sturdy and it meant the dog couldn't get at her to have a good sniff which I could tell he was just dying to do!! I put my daughter to bed in her moses basket inside the cot, mainly as I wanted her to be used to her cot so it wouldn't be a huge shock when she was moved into the actual cot out of the basket, but also as I was worried about the basket being knocked off the stand or tipped over during the night (as she was to beso close to my bed) I only encountered one very small problem with this moses basket and that was that sometimes the hood just wouldn't stay up. This surprised me as I thought the weight of the attached toys, although not heavy, would keep the hood balanced but the odd time it would just fall down. I say thats a small problem as thats all it was because the majority of the time I didn't want the hood up as it blocked my view of her slightly - and being a brand new first time mum I wanted to look at her all the time!! The cost of the I Love My Bear moses basket is £39.99 which I don't think is a really bad price if you are having the whole nursery the same but the stand doesn't come with the basket and that can set you back an extra £24.99 or more depending on the stand you want. This is a really stunning moses basket and I just love how the star plays a tune, its a lovely touch to a beautiful item. It is totally neutral so its really suitable for any baby which again I think is great as so many things are gender focussed these days. I give this four dooyoo stars, as the price may be a little expensive compared to other moses baskets available. Thank you for reading my review :)
I bought this for my little boy before he was born. We were really good and kept the sex a surprise, therefore we needed a neutral colour. We chose this one as it looks very soft and cosy and quite a reasonable price. This is a very sweet neutral moses basket, it is from Babies r us and features their exclusive 'I love my bear' design. It is a natural maize moses basket with traditional handles, a removable fleece liner, a soft padded quilt cover which has a large embroidered teddy bear on and a cream hood which can be retracted. It has 3 detachable toys which hand from the hood, they are a cream teddy bears head, a blue star which plays a sweet tune when pressed and a brown rabbits head. The moses basket also comes complete with a fitted mattress and washable mattress jersey fitted sheet. As I have previously described this moses basket Co-ordinates with the I Love My Bear nursery range, there are a lot of matching items available for your baby's nursery, there is even a pram made by Graco which co-ordinates to this design. This moses basket Conforms to BS EN 1466 safety regulations Mattress Dimensions 65 (l) x 29 (w) cm Dimensions 85.5 (l) x 45 (w) cm Material Composition Maize basket, 50% polyester, 30% viscose, 20% linen The moses basket is suitable for babies from newborn upto 9 kg which is between 19 and 20 pounds. However my little boy has just outgrown his, length wise and he is 18lb, so it really depends on the individual baby. It is quite deep compared to others we looked at. This is a fantastic little set, as everything is included apart from the stand, which can be purchased separately. The only downside is that the battery in the blue star which played music went within the first 2 months of us using it and it cannot be replaced. The qult is a bit of a waste of space too as it is easily kicked off. Cost: This is from Babies r Us and costs £39.99, which I believe is a fair price.
I bought this moses basket for my little man before he was born. I fell in love with the 'I Love My Bear Range' which is exclusive to Toys R Us, as it is full of cute charm at an affordable price, as well as being suitable for both girls and boys. I was torn between this one and the Winnie the Pooh one, but as this was almost half the price it was a no brainer. The moses basket costs £39.99, and comes complete with matress, sheet and cover. The basket itself is made of natural maize with two handles on either side for easy carrying. It has a soft fleece inner lining and a fleece hood that comes with three detachable toys. Both the liner and the toys can be removed and are machine washable so you don't have to worry about them getting grubby. They both wash up really well. The only thing you really need to buy with this is a moses basket stand, and some spare bedding. We got the matching I love my Bear bedding set, which looks really great with it. The moses basket fits a baby up to 9 kg, so the wear you get out of it depends on the size of your baby - my little man is dinky and it fitted him until he was six months so it has been a really good investment, and it is good enough condition to keep for our next one!
Features handles, liner, hood, detachable toys, detachable washable mattress cover, embroidered quilt cover, mattress and jersey fitted sheet.
