My daughter's travel cot is one of the things that we didn't rush out and buy when I was pregnant and instead we focussed on the cot and moses basket. We finally bought a travel cot when my daughter was around the four-month mark and out of her moses basket and used to her proper cot. After a bit of browsing we settled on this one as it was cheap at just £32.99 and it seemed durable and good quality. We got got ours delivered as it was easier and it is obviously also available in-store from Argos only. The main reason that we bought this was for when my little girl goes to her biological Dad's as at the time she didn't have a proper cot at his house. We also used it on the ocassion that we took her with us on a weekend away. I think that it is more hygienic, secure and familiar for my baby to sleep in than a hotel bed. If my little girl didn't already have a cot at my Mum's house, it would have also come in handy whenever my Mum was having her over night for me. The travel cot is really basic in design but it is well made and doesn't look cheap or tacky. It is quite bulky but this isn't really an issue as it can be folded down when it is not being used. It measures 78cm high, 22.2cm long and 74cm wide. We have this in black and grey which we chose because it's a nice and simple colour. Although pink was not available when we purchased ours I doubt that we would have opted for this as it looks quite tacky from the picture! There's very limited colour choice and the black colour scheme is very basic and not particularly attractive, which I think will be a minor disadvantage for some people but seeing as this can be folded up and it isn't a permanent piece of furniture in my home this doesn't bother me at all. The cot comes with a straight forward instruction manual with easy to follow steps. I usually leave my boyfriend to put things together but I was easily able to assemble this myself within five minutes. To put the cot up you simply need to remove the frame and matress from the travel bag and then remove the matress from travel cot by opening the little fastenings. Then I simply open the cot up so that the feet are apart and on the floor. It is then just a matter of pulling the sides up until they click into place. Each side has a clip and they all lock into place securely. Once the cot is assembled I push the middle down so that it goes into the shape that it should be rather than all bunched up. This all takes a matter of five or so minutes and once it is assembled I just need to put the matress in. The matress is nice and thick and soft and it is large enough to cover the whole of the base of the travel cot. Once we've finished with it it is easy to take down and we just pop it back in the travel bag. It is lightweight when it is in the bag but even when it is assembled it is very easy to move around. The sides of the travel cot are tinted but easy to see through meaning that my baby can easily see what is going on around her when she is in it. She is always happy to go in it and the matress is soft and seems comfortable. The matress is quite firm while still being soft and although it's not as thick as a normal cot matress it is thick enough and suprisingly good quality. It holds her weight well and doesn't dip in the middle or anything. It is sturdy and secure and we've not had any issues with it coming apart or toppling over. It is suitable for babies from birth up to 15kg. The cot's fabric cover is easy to clean with a damp cloth and seeing as it always came back from my daughter's dad with milk stains on it I found it easy to clean luckily! We don't use this as much as we used to but knowing that it is there if we do need it is an advantage. Overall I recommend this travel cot - it is great value for money!

I am not going to get into a big discussion as to why I bought the product as it leads to a personal matter but to cut a long story short I had to leave my house and move somewhere that I didn't know or know the people or even what I was letting myself in for to be honest. When I arrived at the new place where I and my two daughters were to live the first thing that I looked at was the cot. I was gob smacked that anybody would put their child in the "prison of dirt" So I dropped my bags off and went to the nearest place that would sell a chap but clean travel cot for my 6 month old. So off to ARGOS I went and stopped a cheap travel cot for £29.99. You can still buy it for this price only thing that has changed since I bought it is the colours. It can now be bought in black with navy or in pink with 2 tones, light and dark. It has a metal frame that is easy to put up and take down I think that this is partly because of the cot has 5 steps to setting it up. There are four clips in each centre of the side that you simply pull up and it clicks into place. Once you have done all that then you simply pull up the handle that is in the middle and that is the cot ready to lay the padded base. When it comes to taking it down all you do reverse how you set it up. The padded mattress that it comes with feels quite hard. At first I was quite concerned about this but my daughter always seemed to have a great sleep and seemed to like her new bed, bless her. It has mesh nets on the side of cot which I feel allows your child to feel more safe in as he or she can see through it where some of them is just material. I would recommend this travel cot to anybody that does not want to spend a fortune and wants a product that is easy to assemble, and reasonably easy to carry as it does not weigh very much. I also thought that it is really handy that it came in a travel bag as this made it so much easier to carry. I would rate this product 10/10 honestly haven't got a bad word to say about the product. I hope that my review was of some use to you. Thank you very much for taking the time to read it. If you are looking for this travel cot you can buy it in store or online on the ARGOS website.
