Conversations with God is a spiritual book writeen by Neale Donald Walsh. I started to read this book at the beginning of last year and it has to be the most spiritual, beautiful, compelling book I have ever had the joy to read. It has changed my life forever and it is now working with me as part of my life and I cannot describe the intensity it has for me. This book is literally what it says in the title, it is one mans conversation with a higer being and from his perspective he feels this conversation is with god himself. Now before I continue let me clarify something. This book has had an awful lot of criticism, as well as praise and the criticism is very highly situated with fundamentalist christians. I am a christian and was wanred agasint this book but I kept stating I would read it and when I did I understood why. The book is written from one mans perspective, perhaps he was a chosen one for god to speak to, this is how it reads in a way however it also reads as ajust an everyday mans life as he speaks to god and how god responds to him through the thoughts of his own mind. Whether you be a christian, a bhuddist, an athiest read this book with a very open mind and then and only then will you truely ind some incredble personal scripture to live your life by and through. One man sits down with his computer an decides to star writing a book, throughout the first lines almost he begins to hear answers and sentences within his head which he beleives are not of his own but are of gods, god is speaking to him through his own thoughts and hence he starts to ask god questions and in turn he hears god respond through his own mind and his own thoughts. This is incredibly hard to beleive and frank;ly whether you beleive it or not this is still the most beauitfully spiritual book and has taught me a way of life. His questions are very much based on spiritual issues within life as well as everyday issues, personal issues and work issues. In turn the answers he receives helps him to understand his life more so and then live it accordingly to be happier and more spiritual, in turn this man is incredibly happy and content. Neale Donald Walsh has his own websites, and facebook pages and the conversations with god range comes in a set of 3 of course you can biy each book sepeartely. This is not a book to simply take to bed and read chapters at a time until you finish. It could take you a month to read it, it could take you a year for each page will inspire you and question your own self. Look at it once and then re read and take notes by highlighting or in some way. You will learn and it will bring to close to your own relationship with god whether he be in your own personal everyday life or as a higher being.
Conversations with God is a series of three books written by Neale Donald Walcsh. The first one deals mostly with personal issues, such as relationships, the second with world issues like poverty and war, and the third book with bigger issues like the universe, aliens, time and space. This book was written (supposedly) after neale wrote and angry letter to God, and then began reciving (via automatic writing) replies. If you believe in God, you can take this book as being the word of God, if you don't believe in God, you can just take this book as being written by an extremely wise man who should probably ben listened to. Either way, this is a book that should be read, by everybody. It is a life changing book that provides you with an entirely new way of looking at life. A slightly odd way of looking at it, an yet a way which makes perfect sense. After reading it, all you can think is 'Oh yeah...Obviously! why didn't I think of that!'
As far as books go I enjoy reading anything – apart from overly romantic ones. However, I do have a great enjoyment in reading those books that leave a lasting impression, or even completely change your outlook on life. One such book is Neale Donald Walshe’s ‘Conversations with God’. This book is about a man that has become so disillusioned, so weighed down with all those things that life can throw at a person that he vents his anger via writing a long and resentful letter to God. Whether you believe it or not, God apparently answers his questions through Neale’s inspiration to write. The truths revealed in this book are astounding. It provides those answers to those questions in life we have an insatiable need to know and ask. The answers – of course – will always be interpreted differently for each person as each person sees life. The only problem with the way it is written is that it comes across as a little American in places. This is easily ignored if it is understood. The book addresses issues from sex, relationships, money, and how we feel about ourselves and act within the outside world. The book also looks at why we feel and act the way we do and how we can change that for the better. There is a lot more than I can put into words here. One must approach it with an open and questioning mind and really think about what is being said. The truth’s given range from the profane to the profound and really causes us to think on all that we are, how we act, and what we can become. I will not reveal much about the book for fear of doing a disservice. Those that are weighed down with life, or are continually seeking answers, have an insatiable need to know, or are even just curious, I suggest you read this book.
Neale Donald Walsch was experiencing a low period in his life when he decided to write a letter to God, venting his frustrations. What he did not expect was a response. As he finished his letter, he was moved to continue writing - and out came extraordinary answers to his questions. This work presents the answers that Walsch received, helping him to change himself, his life and the way he viewed other beings.
