I do take part in many competitions to try and win prizes and usually I end up with just nothing at all but I was given this game to try out by a friend and I actually found some of the game decent but the majority poor.
OK! is this magazine which is released in the UK and they have done a game based on the puzzles you might see inside or so I am lead to believe. You begin by creating an alias and then from there you begin to play the game.
You begin by picking magazine number one and your aim is to complete the 16 puzzles they have got for this magazine. If you do you end up completing the entire magazine and it is published usually with a celebrity face attached to it.
You are usually given four wordsearches, three crosswords, three sudoku and then the rest are random puzzles you might pick by chance. You have to try and complete some of the mini puzzles on each magazine for which there is four on each magazine.
Those mini puzzles put the final touches together for the magazine and once you have one magazine published you move onto another. Overall there is 12 magazines you need to complete and once done you are finished.
It sounds simple and it is but there is plenty wrong with the game. My first example is the word searches because you find a word and sometimes when you highlight the word the game either never notices or it tends to make out you have mispelt the word when you know you have not.
The crosswords continue the poor theme because you begin on the lower magazines with simple and easy to do crosswords and as you advance you get tougher puzzles. However you tend to notice the same sort of crossword clue being repeated and the same answer needed and this is done well over 10 times throughout so you can easily completed the puzzles.
You can also have difficulty with the game recognising what you are trying to put down usually with some letters turning out to be different to what you want them to be.
Every game you play you can cheat using hints. However hints cost points and you get points for completing the puzzles without help. So if you did an entire magazine without using the help your coins value go up quite a large amount.
You can spend 5, 10 or 20 points on help and obviously the more you spend the bigger the help and this is the same for all the magazines.
Luckily the wordsearches vary in how they appear and so does the sudoku the worst problems are with the crosswords.
You also have spot the difference and again this does have problems as well because most of the differences you might have found and clicked onto never disappear yet a few minutes later they will so that can be just annoying more then anything else.
The graphics are not up to much and you would not expect them to be in a game like this. In terms of the game play as mentioned above some games struggle to keep up with your movements and how you are typing various words or even numbers.
I found the entire game to easy to complete and a waste of time and effort for anyone concerned and if you want an easy challenge or game this would be the perfect fit, I am not sure on the exact price for this game but I do know it can be priced over £10 in some locations.
