I have had this motherboard for the last 18 months or so. Given the stellar performance and my hunger for DooYoo miles, it at the very least merits a full review. I have broken it down into sections to make it easier for you to read. Please rate the review once you read it:
Value for money : 5/5
A budget overclocking board with ddr3 support and a crazy 1600mhz fsb support, out of the box, the p5p43td was the most powerful budget board under 90 pounds when I picked it up.
It is well built and feels sturdy and has been my partner on may rough roads (including 1 ram change and 2 burnt hard drives) but has yet to complain.
Software Support: 5/5
Here is where Asus truly hits hard. a mature software suite, a free, evolving express-gate OS and tweaking support that Intel board owners can only dream of, the Asus P5p43td is a true shiner in this department.
I conclude that this is one of the better motherboards in the market even today for those looking for a full feature budget build to last them a year or so like me :)
This motherboard supports the Intel 45nm CPU which introduces micro-architecture features for greater performance at a given frequency, up to 50% larger L2 caches, and expanded power management capabilities for new levels of energy efficiency.
This motherboard supports next-generation SATA hard drives based on the SATA 3Gb/s storage specification.
This motherboard provides convenient connectivity to external home theater audio systems via coaxial and optical S/PDIF-out (SONY-PHILIPS Digital Interface) jacks. It allows transferring digital audio without converting to analog format and keeps the best signal quality.
