Bluestork Hello Kitty Bumpy USB Mouse
My little one has recently been given a small laptop to play her games and such like. The laptop is in her favourite colour of pink, and although she has a touch pad on it, she could not get on with it so we gave her an old mouse we had laying around, though she hated the fact that it was black as it 'isn't a princess colour'. We looked online and came across this lovely pink Hello Kitty mouse (which also comes in white) which suited both my little ones tastes as it was her favourite colour as well as a favourite character! The only problem I found was the price! At £18.00 at time of viewing (reduced to £13.18 now) it was a little extortionate especially as it was only for my little one. We looked elsewhere online and came across the exact same mouse on Ebay, brand new for £5.00 which was much more of a suitable price.
As mentioned, the exact same mouse comes in two colours; white and pink, and except for the colours, they are the same.
The mouse is a USB mouse and simply plugs into the socket on the laptop or the back of a PC system. The lead is average length though depending on how far away your PC system is, it may not reach. For use on a laptop, though, it is a perfect length.
Personally, I think the pink mouse is actually much nicer than the white one as it is less plain in a bold pink colour with the white head and pink bow of Hello Kitty on the main part of the mouse. There are two buttons and one scroll wheel in the centre, all of which work well with no problems.
My little one has been using this mouse almost daily now for a few months and she has had no problems at all. She absolutely loves the design and I think that it is a lovely design also. The only downside is the extortionate price found online, though I managed to secure it for £5.00 on Ebay so do look around.
My daughter is a massive hello kitty fan, so when browsing on Ebay I saw this and decided to buy her it which cost me £6, as I have 2 computers it did mean she had a nice new mouse just for herself and she loved it.
The look of the mouse is really very basic, it is just plain Grey, with a picture of the hello kitty icon on the front, there are no different colourings on this it is really just plain.
At the top of the mouse there is the scroll ball, you can use this to scroll down a page without having to use the bar. I find this makes it a lot easier to get down to the bottom of a page and a lot faster. You also have your left and right click button, the buttons are pretty easy to click in and are just the same as any standard mouse.
Well I am not totally sure how much it weights to be honest but I can tell you it is pretty light. it is not one of the lightest mouses I have used but I have used heavier too.
How to set up
This really could not be any easier, just pick a USB port you would like to use, and connect it in. The rest will all be done automatically, your computer will pick up the mouse, then you are ready to use it.
How easy is it to use
Its just like any other mouse, although I feel it does seem easier to move, as it is pretty light. And the bottom of the mouse has no lumps or bumps in so it just glides over the surface with no hassles.
The left and right click buttons are so easy too just one little press and they click for you, I have noticed on some you have to press in hard where as with these you don't.
Well my daughter has had this mouse for a couple of months now and I have only ever really had to give it a wipe with a damp cloth to get dirty finger marks off, but apart from that no major cleaning had been needed.
My daughter has had no problems with the mouse so far, and she can get pretty rough with it at times, just like any child but its still in good working order.
My overall opinion
I do think this is one of the best things I have bought my daughter lately, she loves it, and it is something I would buy her again. She loves anything to do with hello kitty, however I do think it is too plain, and maybe next time I would buy her one with a little bit more colour to it, as they are available in different styles.
My daughter has never had any problems with this, and it is so easy to use, even for a 9 year old. For the price I paid it really was worth the money, but like I said next time I buy one I will get one that is not as plain, that is the only problem I have with it.
