      Great for everyday

I love Tesco's crème silk bath range, which come in a variety of different fragrances but for me the nicest is the Magnolia silk crème bath. At only 80p per litre it is great for everyday use for all the family. (It used to be cheaper when I started using it at 48p but it has steadily risen to its current price since then. It is packaged in a see through plastic bottle which contains the white silk crème liquid inside. I was quite surprised on opening the bottle for the first time how thick it was, I was expecting it to be very runny for the price but not so it of quite substantial thickness. The crème bath once opened is beautifully fragranced and there is a definite magnolia smell to it. Instructions for use is to simply pour into running water. I do like a lot of suds and a full bath so I usually put in about ¼ of the bottle which sounds a lot but at 20p a bath is not too bad. Using that amount the bath crème produces a lot of suds and softens the water. The fragrance fills the bathroom and makes for a nice relaxing bath. My skin feels nice and soft and smooth after bathing with this and after drying the nice fragrance is still there. I can't really say how long the scent lasts after drying as I always moisturise and this takes away the smell immediately. I do use more expensive bubble baths from time to time but for everyday use this is a very nice one indeed at a very nice price.

Would I buy it again, no!

I wouldn't normally buy celebrity perfumes; I always think that they don't ever really get it right but at Christmas I went to Tesco to do the Christmas shop and picked up a bottle of what I thought was Beckham Signature Story for Him as a gift for my Godson. On checking the bill when I got home I saw perfume £17.99 on it and grabbed the box and saw that I had picked up Beckham Signature Story for her instead, I hadn't looked properly as I didn't realise there was a his and hers version. As I couldn't be bothered to take it back I decided to keep it in my collection and got my Godson the correct one from the local pharmacy. I wouldn't normally not test a fragrance before I purchased it either so this was another first for me and it will be a last. I am not impressed with this fragrance at all; I find it smells very masculine rather like an aftershave. Its notes include peach, bitter orange, kumquat, rose, white peony, orange blossom, musk, patchouli and moss. The perfume is described as being an elegant, feminine and floral, however I cannot pick out any floral notes in this fragrance just a rather bitter orange smell. The longevity is poor as well it disappears entirely after about 2 hours. The bottle is pretty boring as well just a plain square glass bottle with Beckham Signature written across the middle and a square silver stopper. The fragrance inside is a very pale pink. To what purpose I am not sure but there is some writing on the inside of the bottle that does not make any sense, I think that is meant to be a love note or something, but it is written in half sentences so no idea what that is all about, it is hand written with joined up writing so it could be that I just can't make the text out properly. There is also no indication on the bottle that it is for him or her, nor does it mention it being the Story version and as they do another fragrance called Beckham Signature, if you have thrown out the box one could get confused. After I had used this perfume a few times, I started to dislike it more each time, so I relegated it to the loo as an air freshener. You can buy this perfume from some supermarkets and chemists, for around £17.00 for 50ml bottle.

Good for me for minor to moderate pain

Tesco Paracetamol tablets are a must have in my cupboard, as far as painkillers go they are pretty cheap compared to other brands of the same strength. They contain 500mg of Paracetamol and are used for mild to moderate pain, including toothache, headache, back pain, sore throat and just about any other type of minor to moderate pain that you might have. I find that Tesco Paracetamol work very well for mild to moderate pain and once taken take around 20 minutes to work. The little capsules are easy to swallow, much better than the tablets and don't leave that horrible Paracetamol taste in your mouth afterwards. I take them with a large mouthful of water and find that they slide down easily. Directions for use Take one or two tablets with a glass of water every four hours, but no more than 8 tablets to be taken in any 24 hours and if symptoms persist you must seek advice from your doctor. Always read the information leaflet to make sure that these tablets are suitable for you and if in doubt ask the pharmacist before purchase, I am lucky we have a pharmacy in our local Tesco that is very helpful for asking questions and deciding if you are indeed able to take certain medicines. I had a toothache recently and was given antibiotics to get rid of the infection and Tesco's Paracetamol capsules kept the pain under control until the antibiotics kicked in. If you need to take Paracetamol for a few days, I find that they can be constipating so whilst I am taking them I eat plenty of fruit or drink some fresh orange juice to avoid this. Paracetamol is not effective on its own for severe pain, in which case you need to talk to your doctor or pharmacist to get the correct painkiller for your situation. Never take Paracetamol with any other medicines that contain Paracetamol as this can be fatal in the case of overdose. Always check with a qualified person that they are suitable for you if you are taking any other medicines. Tesco Paracetamol capsules are currently 20p for a pack of 16.

            A good buy

I have been using the Tesco brand of cosmetic wipes for years. I usually use a cheaper one that used to cost 28p per packet, then went up to 48p, and now seem to have disappeared from the shelves in my local Tesco altogether, they seem to be still on the website but I have not seen any in my local store for over a month so I switched to another cheapish Tesco type which is this one Tesco Sensitive skin cosmetic wipes. Tesco sensitive skin cosmetic wipes are still good value compared to other branded wipes, at the moment they are on offer at 63p for a 25 pack, however that offer finishes on the 06/07/2010 when they will revert back to the normal price of 70p which is still not too bad. I chose the Sensitive Skin wipes as I need to be careful what I use on my skin as it is very dry and these wipes are fragrance and alcohol free, dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic. The wipes are packaged in a pale blue packet with a replaceable seal on the middle of the front of the packet, which needs to be peeled back so you can remove the wipes and then must be replaced immediately to re seal the packet to keep the moisture in. The seal is strong and I have never had one that will not stick back again. I found the face wipes more than adequate to take off my makeup they are very moist and remove all traces of makeup with one wipe, however I always use two to make sure that my face is clean and the second wipe usually has no traces of makeup on it proving that the first wipe did its job. The instructions do say to avoid direct contact with eyes, however I do use them to remove my eye makeup without any ill effects and they do take off my waterproof mascara as well, however it is personal choice as to whether you want to use the around the eyes as well. They work well for me and do not seem to dry out my skin and as I never wash my face but only use wipes go through a couple of packets a week they work out pretty cheap as well. I would buy these again until I find the cheaper version back in stock then I would switch back as they both do exactly the same job neither one is better or worse than the other, but for now they suit me fine.

              Too overpowering for me

I have mixed feelings about Dior's Eau de Toilette it is described by Dior as being warm with sensuous sand tones, symbolizing the union of land and ocean. But to be frank, I can smell nothing of the sand or ocean in it at all. Top Notes Bergamot, Mandarin, pallisander, aldehyde, peony and broom Middle Notes Jasmine, Rose, Ylang-Ylang, Lily, Wallflower, Lichen Base Notes Vanilla, Patchouli, Benzoin, Sandalwood, Amber, Oakmoss, Musk For me the blends smell overly sweet and musky. Dune is a very strong perfume and can be quite cloying. On first spray there is a strong chemical smell that soon fades and leaves a very potent sweet aroma that can become sickly. I never wear this fragrance in the summer the warm weather seems to sweeten the smell even more and if you are going on a long car journey can become overpowering. It is a shame as it has great longevity when on the skin you can still smell it the next day, so if I actually liked the smell I would be thrilled. I also find that Dune "comes off" as well; if I am dancing closely with Mr. Benn he complains that he can smell it on himself all night, this has never happened with any of my other scents I am also conscious that any clothes I wear with this fragrance needs to be washable as it leaves a stale smell on fabrics after about a day or so. Benn Junior bought me this fragrance for Christmas unfortunately I did not tell him I was not very keen and he bought me another bottle for my birthday; I can't say that I would buy it myself, the blends just do not suit me and I can't pick out any citrus or a specific flora tone at all. Dune is packaged very nicely in an angled spray bottle with a gold lid and sits in a deep orange box, finished off with gold and black writing. Dior's Dune is currently £48.00 for 50ml and £68.00 for 100ml so not cheap but if you shop around there are offers on internet buys. I have read other reviews raving about this perfume so maybe some will love it, however I would suggest using a tester and leaving it on for the day before purchasing to see if you like it as it goes through its changes.

                Disadvantages

                Great for occasional sleep problems

I am a natural worrier and the first thing that happens to me when I get upset or stressed is I just can't sleep I lie tossing and turning into the small hours. A couple of years ago when I was going through one of these episodes my friend recommended Kalms Sleep which is an herbal medicinal product which promotes natural sleep. What are Kalms Sleep? Kalms Sleep are sugar coated tablets containing a blend of natural herbs which contain natural sedative actions. They are not known to be habit forming but if symptoms persist than it is always best to consult your doctor. You do not need a prescription to get Kalms Sleep they can be bought over the counter. Kalms sleep contain Vervain Powder Valerian powdered extract Hops powder Wild lettuce powdered extract Passiflora powdered extract Who can take them? They are recommended for use in adults and the elderly, they are not suitable for children under 12 years old, people with allergies, or pregnant and breast feeding mothers. The dosage is 3 to 4 tablets with water around 1 hour before bedtime; it is recommended they are not taken on an empty stomach. Did they work? My experience with Kalms Sleep has been pretty successful; the tablets are quite large considering you need to get 3 or 4 down, and are about the size of a Paracetamol I would say. They do not taste horrible; they are sweet due to the sugar coating. If I have eaten dinner early I eat a piece of toast and take 4 with a glass of water. If I am having trouble sleeping and need to take them, I notice that about after about 30 minutes I do feel more relaxed the edge taken off anxiety much the same as if you had drunk a glass of wine, that sort of feeling and when going to bed despite laying down still thinking about any problems find myself suddenly drifting off into sleep. They usually do manage to keep me asleep for around 7 to 8 hours and do not make me feel sluggish when I wake up. As will all medicines herbal or not it is always best to consult the pharmacist to make sure that they are suitable for you and tell them of any other medications your are taking or any allergies you might have. Kalms sleep is currently on offer on 3 for 2 at Boots at £4.29 for a pack of 84. This offer applies to all products in the vitamins, complementary medicines and herbal remedies section so you are able to mix and match if you want to try a pack.

                  Disadvantages

                  A very feminine fragrance

Estee Lauder Beautiful is a very sexy, fragrance created in 1985 using over 2,000 flowers Estee Lauder Beautiful is a serious contender as one of the finest fragrances in the world and is still one of the world's best selling perfumes to date. Packaged in a simple oval shaped clear bottle with a gold top boxed in a deep pink and gold carton this fragrance makes an ideal gift. Top Notes Rose, Mandarin, Lily, Tuberose, Marigold Middle Notes Orange Flower, Muguet, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang Base notes Sandalwood, Vetiver, Amber As you would imagine made with over two thousand flowers this is a very floral fragrance and on first spray this is apparent, however as it settles down the overpowering floral tone are calmed down by the sandalwood and you are left with a deliciously heady scent which on me smells of lilies with the underlying scent of Jasmine, with a slightly wood edge, sometimes I detect a hint of citrus as well. The fragrance is strong and long lasting, but still suitable for day time as well as evening; in fact I can't think of a situation that you would not be able to wear this perfume. One spray before you go to work should be sufficient to see you through the day, or one spray before you go out in the evening should last all night. People have commented when I have been wearing this saying you smell beautiful so it certainly lives up to its name. You can buy Estee Lauder Beautiful from some Chemists and Department Stores at around £30.00 for a small 30ml bottle or £65.00 for 100ml. Not at the cheaper end of the fragrance scale but the delicious smell and longevity of the scent on the skin sells it for me.

I would advice having a word with the pharmacist to make sure it is suitable for you.

Hc45 Hydrocortisone Cream is a good product to keep in the bathroom cabinet, it is great for relieving painful itchy insect bites and is successful at treating mild eczema. It can also be used for relieving itching and symptoms following allergic reactions to plants, nettle stings, deodorants and toiletries you do not need a prescription and it can be bought over the counter from most pharmacy's and Boots. I have never used it for eczema as I don't have it, but have used it on quite a few occasions following insect bites. Hc45 Hydrocortisone Cream relieves itching and inflamed skin and it does really work for me, I was bitten by something over the weekend and within minutes I had a grape sized red itchy swelling and used this straightaway, and within an hour the symptoms had subsided, the swelling and redness reduced, and after three days I am just left with a little lump but no irritating itching. Hc45 Hydrocortisone Cream comes in a tube and contains a white cream, which does not really smell of much and easily absorbed so does not leave any greasy residue. A thin layer must be applied to the affected are once or twice a day for a maximum of 7 days. As I said at the start Hc45 Hydrocortisone Cream can be bought over the counter but it is a medicine and there are side effects if it is not used properly. Hc45 Hydrocortisone Cream contains Hydrocortisone acetate BP 1.0% w/w which is a type of medicine called a corticosteroid and can cause thinning of the skin if overused. It must not be used on the face and extra care is needed to avoid contact with the eyes, it is not to be used on young children, pregnant of breast feeding mothers without medical advice. There is a leaflet inside the box which contains all the important medical interactions and when and how the cream should be used. For me it works very well on insect bites and will stop the itch of annoying little pimples as well. Hc45 hydrocortisone cream must be stored below 25 degrees and there is a use by date on both the box and tube and any unused cream should be thrown away after the date shown. At the moment you can buy Hc45 hydrocortisone cream from Boots for £3.69 but you need to be over 16 to purchase this product and due to medicine selling restrictions you may only purchase 1 at a time.

If I were to find fault it would be that they could be more compact

These are fantastic to have in the home for security purposes. Mr. Benn and I go out a lot at the weekend and sometimes late at night, so as well as having a house alarm we also like people to think we are at home. The Masterplug TM24 Mechanical 24 Hour Timer is a timer that you can set to turn appliances on at a certain time such as lamps. The unit fits into a normal plug sockets or extension leads and when set up correctly will automatically turn on the appliance you have plugged into it. The device looks like a larger plug but with a timer dial on the front, the casing is made from plastic. The instructions are clear and simple there is dial timer on the front face and little segments that each represent 15 minutes so these both need to be set. First of all decide how many hours you want to have your lamp or other appliance on for we usually have a lamp set to come on at around 8pm and switch off again at 2am when we are certain to be home so 6 hours in total, so you need to push 24 little segments down. This can be a bit of tricky as the segments are tiny and need a little push to go down, I find it easier to push them down using the tip of a pen, if at a later date you decide you want the timer on for less hours then you just need to lift up the required number of 15 min segments to deduct the time from it. Next you need to turn the clock dial clockwise to the current time, following the grey arrows on the dial until the grey marker points to the current time. Plug the Masterplug unit into a wall socket once set and push in the plug from the lamp you want it to turn on firmly into the front of the Masterplug unit. There is a little on off switch to enable the device to be switched on when it will then automatically turn on your chosen appliance for the required time. The is a power light indicator for when the devise if powered on. The lamp must also be switched to the on position but once the Masterplug is plugged in, set up and turned on it then takes charge and the lamp will not be come on until the time you have set it up for and will go off again when it reaches the end of the segments you pushed down. They can be used to switch on and off other appliances as well, we use one to turn on the tropical fish lamp hood light as well. The only down side I have found is that they are a little wide so if using one if a double wall socket you will be unable to fit a second one next to it, you can fit a normal plug in the spare socket but it is a tight squeeze. The same applies to an extension lead you will need four sockets in the extension lead to fit two timers. These timers are not compatible with Sky digi boxes This Masterplug timer is for indoor use only and has a maximum load of 13A (3120W). I have 4 of these in operation in my house and bought them from Sainsbury online for £4.99 each

                        Disadvantages

Base your review on personal opinion as you would with any other review

After lasts weeks shake up of the dooyoo miles system I think most of us realised that for the benefit of the site dooyoo would like us to review the products that the general public is interested in reading and would reward us more for our efforts in those areas. One of these categories is fragrance, which most of us own several of at the very least. I am a perfume collector and own dozens as I am sure a lot of dooyoo members do also, but do we need to be an expert on perfume making, terminology, have alchemy or botanical skills to review a fragrance?, and can we expect the general public to understand our review if we do have these skills and implement them. I have seen many posts lately where people are afraid to review a fragrance as they have no clue as to notes and things, but in my opinion the people who are reading these reviews such as the general public have no clue either. For the purpose of this review and to help me write a good fragrance review I conducted a little experiment, I wrote a practice review that is not posted on here, it was merely an experiment to get some feedback on my perfume review, but it was along the lines of my Estee Lauder Youth Dew review that I composed and posted yesterday only a different perfume and sent it to 12 of my friends and family, 9 ladies and 3 men all from different walks of life, housewife's, a bank clerk, a secretary, a fitness instructor, a waitress, a car mechanic, and a gardener, all ordinary people without specialist knowledge of perfume and the type of people who would indeed read a review before buying. None of these people belonged to or had ever belonged to any review site. In my practice review I included a brief history of the scent, included, top notes, middle notes and base notes, I told them how the perfume had settled on me in these various stages, how long the perfume stayed on without going too sweet or fading, the packaging and the price. I then sat back and waited for their responses which I received back over the last couple of days, 10 out of 12 people told me they had no idea whatsoever what top notes, middle notes and base notes were, some had in fact sprayed on some of their own perfumes but still could not detect specific ingredients in any of the stages other than what the perfumes were actually supposed to end up as i.e. floral, woody, spicy, citrus etc The information on the notes I had given for this perfume was Top Notes Rose, Tuberose Mimosa Plum Pittosporum Middle Notes Jasmine, Patchouli,Orange flower Base notes Oakmoss,Vetiver,Sandalwood,Amber During the course of this practice review I selected a few of the ingredients that I had picked out from each note, but my practice subjects were confused, as all of them had no clue as to what many of the ingredients actually were or indeed smelled like, particularly Patchouli , Oakmoss or vetiver or Amber. I had a short question and answers on what my friends and relatives would want to know from a perfume review, the answers were as follows: - (One person admittedly it was a guy said "couldn't you have put this in layman's terms I have no clue what you are going on about what is a note and what the hell is Veliver Come on Suzie stop waffling") lol. The overall smell of the perfume once it has settled down, spicey, or floral, woody or citrus and the main overall smell that you are left with Was it sickly, overly sweet, or cloying Did it linger on the clothes and go stale afterwards How long did the scent last Was the packaging suitable for a gift and would the bottle look nice on a dresser Was it girly and sexy women love a fragrance to make them feel sexy How much is it and where to get it from So in short if you have some nice fragrances at home and would like to review them the conclusion that I have come to is no you do not need to be an expert in this field to do so, as long as you write an honest review of what it actually smelled like on you and what your opinion was of it strengths then that should be fine. A list of notes is useful then people can pick up on something that they definitely don't like, such as a lot of citrus or spice in a perfume. It is worth noting as well that perfume smells differently on individual people, this is because the smell of a fragrance on one's skin can be affected my different things such as, diet or medication or hormonal levels. So it is always necessary to use a tester and let it settle for a few hours before purchasing, this is also useful information to put in a perfume review. For those people who do have an extensive knowledge fragrances and can therefore write a technical review, well done I have read some very in depth perfume reviews lately and thoroughly enjoyed them and intend to test out some perfumes because of those same reviews when I get opportunity, so I hope nobody will take offence, I just wanted to point out that in view of the fact that dooyoo would like us to review more in this area we do not need to be an expert, it is a personal review they want and people's opinions. I am not telling people how they should or should not write a perfume review but stating in my opinion if you base it on your own personal experience of that product then the review should be fine as it is with any other review.

                          Excellent product

This is a wonderful descaler for most small household appliances, including electric kettles, steam irons, coffee machines and shower heads. As I live in a very hard water area I have a massive lime scale problem and have found this the best all round descaler for my small appliances. A build up of lime scale, looks ugly particularly in kettles, damages the elements in the appliance and can cause marks on fabrics if allowed to build up in your steam iron. Oust will remove heavy limes scale deposits in around 10 minutes full instructions are on the pack for each appliance and on the weekend I used it on my iron and kettle which prompted me to write this review so I will example these for this purpose. First of all certain precautions must be taken to ensure that this product does not go in the eyes as this can cause serious damage so be careful not to splash the products when using. It is also irritating to the skin so if you do happen to get some on the skin wash with plenty of water immediately. For use with the kettle Half fill the kettle with cold water and bring to the boil, do not add more than half the kettle as the liquid once added will fizz up so you do not want it to overflow. Once the kettle has boiled, unplug the kettle and carefully and slowly add the sachet of oust descaler, I usually run it down the inside of the kettle to avoid splashing. Empty the kettle and re-boil to remove residue chemicals, then rinse the kettle with plenty of cold water. The product works exceptionally well in the kettle and should remove all traces of lime scale with one application. For use with the iron Read manufactures instructions prior to using this in the iron to make sure that you can use commercial descalers in it. If so pour one sachet of oust into the water chamber, I use the little plastic water filler that came with the iron for this it is easier than getting it in than with the sachet without dripping any, then top up with water, put the iron on the steam setting and leave for 10 minutes to allow the product to clear the steam holes. Empty the chamber and repeat with plain water to rinse. I couldn't believe how much steam came out of my iron after I had used this; I hadn't descaled it since I bought it some 3 years ago and was thinking I might need a new iron, but it seems as good as new now. A second application can be used if necessary for stubborn lime scale but I have used it on my kettle quite a few times and never had to do this. I also had a slow running shower a couple of months ago, Oust sorted that out, all you need to do is remove the shower head put approximately ½ pint of hot water in a jug and add the shower head, leave for 10 minutes, and if lime scale is the problem as it was in my case, then Oust should shift it and the shower head will run normally again. It is recommended to keep your small appliances in tip top condition to descale them every 3 months in a hard water area, and every 6 months in a soft water area. Oust All Purpose Descaler can be found in most supermarkets or hardware stores and is currently £1.48 for a pack of 3 sachets at Tesco.

                            A great long lasting fragrance

I am a bit of a fragrance collector, I am an avid lover of perfume, so which one to review first is hard so I thought I would review the first perfume I ever owned, some 35 years ago and always have a bottle on my dressing table all year round. Estee Lauder's Youth Dew is a timeless classic, very spicy and woody in its aroma. It is very strong smelling, so a couple of squirts are enough. The perfume stays strong throughout the evening and a second application is rarely needed. Estee Lauder uses flowers, rich spices and precious woods in this perfume. The spicy aroma is apparent when you first spray it on the skin, it quickly settles down into a more floral scent when jasmine is detected, however the fragrance will still remain overall much spiced in its scent. The longevity of this fragrance once sprayed is one of the reasons I keep it as one of my regular fragrances, there is nothing worse than blowing a lot of money on a fragrance that you can't smell a couple of hours later. Top Notes Rose, Jonquil, Lavender Middle Notes Jasmine, Muguet, spices Bottom Notes Moss, Vetiver, Patchouli Estee Lauder Youth Dew is packaged very nicely, which makes for an attractive looking gift, it is boxed and bottled in a very nice hour glass shaped ridged bottle with a gold bow around the centre. Estee Lauder Youth dew is stocked in some department stores, chemists, and some Superdrugs, prices vary tremendously depending on what time of the year it is and whether any retailer is running offers, my latest bottle 65ml was £35.00 from my local chemist, but I saw it in The Perfume Shop for only £29.99. So it is well worth have a good look around before purchase.

                              Perfect toast everytime

I have had this toaster a while now and it still looks and works as good as new. I paid £39.99 for mine but it can now be bought on Amazon for around £28.00. The toaster has 4 wide slots and two sets of controls, each set controlling two slots independently, so you can toast 2 slices of bread at one setting and the other 2 at another if peoples preference to how they like their toast is differs. The toaster is made of stainless steel with illuminated controls, it has variable browning controls, which you soon get used to just try it a couple of times and adjust accordingly, I tend to use the lower settings as I like lightly toasted bread. There is a defrost button, so you can toast frozen bread straight from the freezer and the bread will be gently warmed before toasting. There is also a reheat button that will warm the toast back up if you have left it to go cold, and a cancel button to stop it toasting if you are interrupted during toasting. There is also a high lift facility, this is very useful if you are toasting crumpets, or potato cakes that tend to disappear down the toaster, you can lift the baskets up so that the item can be retrieved without burning yourself. There is a removable crumb tray, easily removed for cleaning that catches the crumbs pretty efficiently and the toaster has none slip feet. It is easy to clean; I just use a damp cloth with a little washing up liquid, and polish with kitchen towel. All in all this is a very decent toaster for the money, with nice wide slots that can toast thick bread, crumpets or warm potato cakes. Once you get the settings sorted out it will make the perfect toast every time. Would I recommend this toaster, yes I would it does everything a toaster should do as well as looking attractive with its silver face and top and black sides.

Come on dooyoo lets be fair

I think any sane person knows what has happened on this site and that is a considerable number of members have taken gross advantage of dooyoo and cost them an enormous amount of money, yes the churners I am talking about. It is obvious that dooyoo could not carry on paying enormous amounts of money for useless rubbish that is of no use to anyone, but I think they could have come up with a better way to do this, as we now have the churners churning out rubbish reviews in Category 1 and guess what now they have had an increase, instead of getting 50p per churn they now get 60p!!!! I am not talking about people who write a lot of good reviews and participate in the site, I am talking about the hardcore churners, who are here for no other reason than to churn out review after review with the bare minimum of words required padded out with a copy/past list of ingredients. The key here would have been to get the churners off this site by making some new rules instead of making a tier system. The following ideas would have stopped the churners in their tracks; Site participation Some people have fulltime jobs and family, but they still have time to participate in this site, most churners however do not participate and if you look at how many review's they have actually read it will be 0 or very low. A system could have been implemented that to get paid anything on your review you need to read a certain number of reviews per week. There could be a limit on how many reviews you are allowed to write in a day, say 5 not many people can manage to write 5 reviews in a day, I know I can't, I have rated on average 90 reviews per day (7) days per week since start, which takes up some considerable time, I am here at least 5 hours per day and only managed to write 2 reviews per day at most occasionally I managed to do 3 and all my reviews have been a minimum of at least 300 words and some considerably more . I am not saying you should be made to read 80 reviews per day but say 100 per week and if you don't then the reviews you wrote for that week you don't get paid on. If they increasedthe number of words say 300 needed to be written, made people actually participate on the site it would give the churners less time to churn out rubbish without having to punish the rest of us. The tier system could still be in place but at the old rate 50p per review and 1.5p per read, but out of the 5 reviews you can write each day, they could say only 1 out of level 3, 2 out of level 2 and 2 from level 3. This would be fairer than punishing us all. What about the people who don't have any kids, or they are grown up and gone, well that section for L1 is out, or have had their home set up for a while, well that section is out as well, many of the electrical items that are over a year old are not in the catalogue, and yes I know you can request them, but with technology moving so fast these days many items over a couple of years old are no longer sold. I know one lady on here I have never spoken to her, but I read all her reviews, she writes 1 good quality review on children's books every couple of days, (I have bought 3 recommended by her for my god children and family members). She has participated in this site every day reading and commenting on other peoples review's , I see that she has actually rated over 50,000 more people than have rated her, now that is dedication, now she will have to take a drop of 20p per review. Is this fair? I don't think so. The churners will always win, and make the most money until dooyoo put a stop to it by not rewarding them with an extra 10p to churn out 6 bottles of perfume one after the other and 8 TV's. They must be stopped or banned from the site. For my 30+ hours I have been putting in here I have made on average £15.00 per week, but now two of the category's that I write in have been cut, one of them so it is just not worth writing about at all, I will make even less. Whereas I don't expect to make a fortune here I do need to cover the electricity etc that it costs to sit on the pc most of the day reading/rating and writing. Dooyoo is not a charity but neither am I. Where I understand they had to make cuts I am disappointed with the way they have done it, and not considered the genuine dooyooers who will not be able to write about most of the stuff in Level 1

A great cheap little gadget that works

The JML Bobble off is a hand held little gadget which removes those annoying little bobbles from your clothes. It really does work, but you need to handle this with a little care because it is quite a light machine made of plastic so I doubt it would withstand treading on or dropping on a hard surface very well. The bobble off is battery operated, and I find the battery compartment a little fiddly to get off and then the battery compartment is a tight fit so you have to force them in whilst being careful not to damage the little machine. There is there is an on off button to switch it on and once you have laid down the garment that your want to de-bobble, simply hold it by the handle then run it across the bobbles and they will be removed quite easily. The bobble off has covered rotary action safety blades, so that you can remove the bobbles easily without damaging your clothes. There is also a removable see through lint trap that catches the fibres that have been removed, you can see it fill up and when it needs to be emptied. There bobble off has two setting, for short or long fibres and can be used on most fabrics and soft furnishings including curtains and can also be used on carpets. Some of the things I have successfully de-bobbled are socks, tracksuit bottoms, quite a few jumpers and cardigans, pillow cases. The machine is addictive and I find myself looking around for things to de-bobble. I don't know how much mine was as it was bought as a gift from my friend, but they are currently for sale in Argos for £5.99 excluding the 2 x AA batteries which you need to buy separately.
