A recipe to smile.... and make an occasion even more special... (",)

Moonpig.... A way of communicating a personalised card, with pictures of relevant images and having it sent across to the desired person so that it arrives a day or so later.... I have had two experiences with Moonpig.... once when I used them to send a 30th birthday card to my best friend, and then when I received a gift/card for MY 30th..... both of which left me thinking this company was great!! When sending the card, I simply chose the style of card, amended the pictures as I needed.... and the wording inside the card... the provided the address and payment, clicked for the payment and simple as that, the card arrived with my best friend the following day to be opened.... it was great and incredibly personal and for the cost of around £2.98 was incredible value-for-money!! When receiving I was shocked because I was told to expect a card, but in actual fact I received a huge box... when I opened it, I had a personalised mug with my picture and 'happy 30th' and a card with similar picture... I guess facebook helped my brother a lot in choosing the pictures to use for the card, but honestly - it felt amazing to open such a personalised card with personal family pictures and a personal message... on the back of the card it had a little bit which would normally be like a bar code - but was a family picture... it was an amazing feeling and I would hope to return that feeling to someone soon.... Its one of those feelings that money can't buy!

      cleansing and feels amazing

This year's been particularly gruelling in that I have been working flat out at work, then with my degree and also on two major home renovation projects while dealing with day-to-day life... it was no wonder I suppose that I then starting picking on my skin.... literally, the teeniest bump/lump would have to be picked (I know it sounds disgusting!!) Anyway, I didn't realise I was doing this while revising/working on things - then once it became obvious I sought to find a solution.... I wanted a face wash that would exfoliate my skin mildly - and not irritate it even more than it was already, while trying to remedy the problem I had of attacking myself! I initially chose the oily skin version of this (white) without realising that it was for oily skin, and was wondering for the week why my face felt like it wanted to rip itself away from me.... I was moisturising my face much more than usual, and then when I took a moment to read what I had actually been applying, I saw that I had chosen the wrong product! I then gave purchased this one, and gave the oily one to my younger brother who suffers from oily skin... swapping the little applicator and have found that this one serves me much much better!! To apply, you use this little round plastic applicator which is gripped between two fingers and then a small dollop of the facial cleaner is put onto it, then rubbed against the skin and rotated to cleanse it... Initially it looks like this may be rough, but in actually fact is it very soft and feels nice against the skin... you can see all the dirt and grime (if any) coming off the skin and it can then be placed back in the centre/middle and has a plug effect on the back which can be stuck in the shower or on tiled surfaces.... All in all, this is an excellent product as it is so versatile, and smells/feels good..... the cleanser/applicator is great and even once this product has finished I will definiately be using that again!! Great buy for around £5!!

      i love it!!

Ok, so I admit it - I'm in love with my phone.... Now, I know a lot of iphone fans will wonder why, but when you have have had to endure a Bold 9000 for over a year and put up with crappy reception, awful battery life (or should that be non-existent) and just awful/crappy operating system... the 9780 is amazing!!! The battery life is mind blowing, my phone lasts OVER one day of full and proper use... that would never happen before, I would go to work with my charger in my bag because I knew the phone would die even if I didnt use it!!... The new operating system is similar to the Torch (as far as I am aware) and honestly, it is fabulous... Being on survey sites I would get links to different surveys and things which I could not log into on the old operating system... On this one, everything works except flashplayer sites and things... it is like a mini computer because I can just go onto anything and everything I want to... and its amazingly quick too!! The phone is smaller than the 9000 bold and i love the menu and manner in which it can scroll across to show different menus, be that items you use regularly, items that are purely for document editing, or 'favourites'.... Mine is white, with a leather back which can get a little messy/easily dirty but it is far more attractive and different in my opinion and I wouldnt be without it... I got it with a white leather pouch which I still have and have changed the settings so that it locks automatically once in the pouch, or after ten mins of non-activity... I feel that this Bold helps me keep in touch with the world so much more easily and quickly... purely because it works faster and is so much more of a joy to use... I do love it, and wouldnt be without my phone!!!

love the colour and easy of using this product

I had never dyed my hair before October last yr... Then it was coming to hallowe'en and I wanted to try something different on my hair to tie in with the vampiress look I was going for with my outfit..... So, I dyed my hair with a temporary colour to a shade of burgundy/red... Being a dark brown with thick and fine hair, this didn't show massively but that was the 'look' I thought I was opting for.... Anyway, this colour washed out quickly enough and I wanted something more permanent. I purchased the John Frieda colour after I completed a survey online and was sent a free voucher. I figured I had nothing to lose so went for a reddish colour and then used it... I followed the instructions dilligently and had my mother colour my hair - the paperwork suggests waiting for 20mins but I waited an hour to ensure the colour had transferred across properly.... There were no after effects of problems with this which is something I had been concerned about, but the colour appeared and was much more noticeable, especially when under the light or in view of the sun.... but otherwise it is a mahogany type colour which isnt't quite so obvious... I touched the roots up with the same colour more recently, and tried this process alone... Which wasnt so bad, all you have to do is to open the box, mix the formulae with the colouring agent and tilt 5 times, and then start squeezing the bottle so that a handful of foam comes out and it is then placed on your hair... The first time around I may have mixed it too much (it explicitly says not to shake the bottle) so the foam was thin and disappeared very quickly... the second time I made sure I did not exceed this, and touched up my roots myself. Ok, so I made a mess all over my head/face, but it gave me the desired results... It is quite quick, easy and lasts me for months and months!! I absolutely love the product!!

wish I'd found this site sooner!!

I found this site almost by accident - I was looking for a MAC make up which I bought using Amazon, and was then looking for an accompanying product... I wish I'd found it sooner as I think it would have given me more than a half-price saving as per the company name.... I bought so many things on the first visit and still struggled to exceed £15 on my first order!! This included various eyeshadows, blushers, lip liners and nail varnishes... A part of this was because the items were grouped into discounted bargains, so I was getting £20 worth of things for £5 but even so.... it was amazingly cheap and when the items were delivered they were all bubblewrapped and sent correctly so that nothing was broken. The delivery arrived promptly too, and emails are sent so that you can track the progress of your order. All in all - an excellent site, fantastic prices for quality items... I will definitely be using them again and again!!

good survey site - highly recommend for regular payouts

I joined a series of survey sites about 18 months ago.... Surveyhead was one of them... at the time I didnt quite understand how they worked, in that you can visit the site not only when invited to surveys, but daily to conduct a 'surveysweep' and see whether you are eligible for surveys. Usually this means you can continue to try for a survey until you complete one fully, and it used to be for a reward of $1 (around 70p) meaning every month or so you would reach your payment threshhold and receive a payment around a month later of £15 or thereabouts. This made is an incredibly lucrative site because they pay you into Paypal (effectively cash) which can be transferred into your bank account and spent as and how you please.... They then changed things so that surveysweeps now pay $0.75 or around 40p so it takes longer but they also do not seem to have as many surveys as they used to meaning it takes even longer to hit the payment threshold... I have not experienced any problems with being paid once the threshhold has been hit - but do get bored of waiting now that it takes a while to reach the limits. There was a stage where I would try to do the surveysweeps ahead of the other survey companies I am joined to, now they fall into the mill of things because it can take so long to try and find a survey which allows you to complete it, and the reward makes it not as worthwhile as other sites can be.... On the whole though - it is definitely worth having available because it does pay regularly and well, and in cash/paypal rather than vouchers.... In one year it has paid me £100 for a very casual approach to surveys, which isn't going to fund my lifestyle - but it is a nice little bonus to have on the side.... I would recommend it to anyone!

        still undecided

I decided to take up a capital one credit card after it was recommended by Martin Lewis on his moneysavingexpert website for the 1% cashback on any purchases when it was used. Up until then I had been using debit card all the time and I figured that this would provide added protection to all my purchases, while paying it off monthly meant it was the same as a debit card but I would earn 1% every month..... The 1% is added up and paid in January - well, it is taken off the balance of your January statement.... Which is good I suppose... My issue isn't so much with this aspect of the t&c's but I feel the credit limit I have is hugely inadequate given the amount I use the card and compared to my earnings.... I have a credit card with Halifax which is more than 8x the credit limit of this one, and when I have asked for the limit to be increased as I was regularly overstepping it and having to make mid-monthly payments, I was swiftly told that I can either leave or deal with it. When asked what happens to the accrued cashback they told me that that would be lost because I had decided to leave - even though I was calling to see me overstepping my credit limit could be avoided.... I guess I should thank Capital One because I have made myself use this as my main card, but I HAVE to check my balance before using it, or have to transfer funds across.... One thing I do not understand is how I am to pay for larger items. I thought I would be able to transfer more funds onto the card so that I exceed my limit available, allowing me to make larger purchases..... I have recently been involved in the renovation of a house so need to make large purchases quickly.... Well, according to Capital One I can't do that either... I have to spend up to my credit limit, pay that off (48 hours at least for the payment to show) and then use it again...... For the sake of a 1% cashback which I wont see for many months it's a lot of effort and work.... But for now, for daily transactions it seems ok which is why I am still undecided (title).... I hope other people get on with it better!!!

Nice addition to my box of hair care / gadgets.... without breaking the bank!

Around this time last year, I was looking through my gadgets and things (for my hair) and decided that I would quite like some curling tongs. Not that I had a desperate need for them, but I felt that my GHDs may be too strong for daily use (for curling) and the heated curlers I have (which are heated in a compartment and then applied to the hair) did not work as well. I didn't want to spend too much though because I did not have a pressing need for them but I guess I wanted something new to play around with, so I began by looking online to see what was available and gauge a price range but there were so many different types which offered different options, and prices that I soon bored of this mission and thought I would just see what I saw out and about around Christmas time, and who knows, maybe someone would miraculously know to buy me one as a gift (they didn't!) It was around January time when I was shopping in Boots and was browsing through their electricals while waiting for the assistant to come back after checking something for me when I saw these Babyliss curling tongs on special offer, making them £12 (plus a few pennies). Instantly, given the branding and tourmaline used on the tongs, I knew this was a bargain so snapped up a box. When I got in, I wanted to have a play around with them straight away. Partly to see how they curled, and also to see if there was something hidden in the offer making them undesirable! I remember the packaging wasn't too extreme, the box was quite sturdy and once opened, the tongs were inside wrapped in a plastic bag accompanied by a page of written instructions regarding usage and safety. I unwrapped everything, had a quick read, plugged it in and was ready to go! ** Usage ** While the tongs are quite easy to operate, in that you plug them in and they begin to heat up, there is no way of knowing when they are ready for use (i.e. a beeping noise as on my GHDs) so I have always taken a guess and touched the metal and made a start. They do warm up quite quickly though so I guess maybe this is a personal preference rather than it affecting the product at all. I do also find that the tongs can be a little fiddly due to my hair cut/styling which has lots of layers which are choppy and various lengths. I find the trick is to divide the hair into sections of similar length rather than where they happen to be on your head (as I do with the straighteners) so that most of the section will hook into the lower part of the barrel and most of the hair will then be intertwined around the barrel of the tongs meaning the tongs can be pushed up and everything gets heated and curled. At first I found that some of my hair was falling out of the section while curling it around the tongs and that meant half of the section was curled, the rest was not - leading to a look that is not quite what I was going for (!) so sectioning by length helps. ** Verdict ** If these were all I had to rely on to curl my hair I really would not be too happy because it is time consuming and I really have to concentrate to get the desired effect! Having said that, I am in a position where I can compare to other means and I find they sit somewhere in the middle. They take longer than my GHDs to do the job, but not as long as the heated curlers and also I have more control with them as to where the curl will sit (something I struggle with sometimes with the straighteners and always struggle with when it comes to the heated rollers). In terms of staying power, the curls tend to stay in for the day or evening but not much past that. This could be due to my hair as it is quite thick and any curls begin to drop out quite quickly, but GHD curls last for a full day quite easily and heated rollers last a few hours at most. I do like having the choice between styles and find that when I want quick curls in some areas rather than doing all of my hair (i.e. with a hair up-do) then this is a quick option. I'll admit that I do not use them very often, but I much prefer them to the heated rollers and definitely do not regret parting with £12 for the purchase as I still feel this was a bargain! So..... on that basis I would rate these tongs four out of five stars. It could be improved if it an indicator of some sort to show when the tongs are heated and ready for use rather than me having to touch them and just guess as I'm sure that cannot be safe! Thanks for reading (",)

An Attractive, Well priced Laptop and a joy to use!

I haven't been on Dooyoo for a while for a mixture of reasons... One being that BT had damaged my laptop after accessing it via remote assistance online, meaning it refused to work for months... and then when I moved back (after my house had been rebuilt) the BT exchange was apparently full meaning I could not get online anyway!!! Anyhow... months later now that I am finally online, I felt it only appropriate to review my fabulous new laptop!! Other than being aesthetically pleasing, it is gorgeous to the touch too. You can see the spec on the system or other sites, so I won't bore anyone with those details -mainly because these are not the things I looked at too heavily when choosing this piece of machinery. I was interested in the Quad (i5 core) which from what I understand is quite advanced and means the system works much better than Core 2 Duo does (which is what I had previously had) and with fewer faults than the newer i7... - in all honesty, I don't use my laptop for more than accessing the net and writing a few reviews (although not done much of that lately), revision for exams and some accountancy related spreadsheets for exams. Having said that, according to the guy in Comet, it would allow me to use the dedicated graphics card when I come to do my own presentations for my accountancy degree, meaning the system would still run quite quickly, and from what I understand, the Quad system would mean that the speed is unaffected if I am using multiple applications. When I set this up, it didn't take too long, and it did ask me if I wanted to split the hard-drive, meaning that if it ever stopped working, it would automatically have backed everything up and I would just be able to load everything up from that back-up... pretty good I thought considering how stressed I got from losing everything the last time and while I haven't had the misfortune to use this (yet) I am hopeful that if I ever have to, then it will be a convenient enough process. Set up was relatively easy and I just got on with using the internet and installing Office (easy enough). I really do like Windows 7 which takes some getting used to, but now that I have, I love it too... I guess there will always be things that I stand to learn with this laptop - especially as it is quite new to me and I am using functions and programmes that I either need, or am familiar with, rather than getting to know everything about it, but that would have been the case regardless of whichever laptop I had chosen. All in all, I love the screen, which is sleek and smooth, the exterior is different while being attractive and the keypad while larger than what I was previously used to, is so easy to use and easy to clean (yes, that is the OCD side of me... wanting it all clean and dust-free!!). The battery lasts absolutely ages and it feels good to the touch. The scratchpad/mouse is hidden away making it attractive to me also as I like the minimalistic look/feel. I would highly recommend this laptop to anyone looking for something either high powered, or not. I've not had this one too long but already I love it!!) It is also lighter meaning that I don't feel bogged down by it either which is worth mentioning as some of the laptops I was looking down looked and felt (and were) quite clunky and heavy All in all - I love this piece of machinery and hope it lasts a very long time!!!

            I love my MAC palette!!

Well.... where to begin?? I am officially a MAC addict - yes, I admit it!! I have only recently (well a few yrs now, but I am 29!!!) begun to wear make-u[p. While at uni I would watch my friends get all dolled up. I would refuse on the grounds that I did not know what I was doing and preferred the natural look. So, when they all began to get married, they asked me to try some make-up - not because I needed it (apparently) but as an enhancement, and to stop being ID'd during the hen nights too...! One of these friends is a qualified make-up artist, and has sworn by MAC for years - so I decided to make the trip to Covent Garden where one of their own branded stores were. This is one of the stores from where a palette of eyeshadows can be purchased. Concession stores (i.e. Selfridges) allow you to purchase eyeshadows in their individual cases - but I was looking to buy an entire palette with each colour so needed to get to one of these stores. I had accompanied one of the brides when they were purchasing their make-up palette so had some idea of what to expect, but when it came to my special trip I was still very excited and could not wait to choose MY colours and every product which accompanied it! The MAC store has make-up artists who are there to trial products on you, and answer any questions you may have. They walk around with a make-up pouch. This is like an old-style bum bag, but with slots for make-up brushes to be placed individually. They do clean these after they have been used so are hygienic, but the personal attention everytime I go into any store (not just their own branded stores) is great. I always spend a lot as a result, but never regret it! When choosing colours for the palette there are a wide array to choose from. The palette itself costs around £15 (from what I remember) and each eyeshadow costs around £11. There are 15 slots within the palette and these can be filled as quickly or slowly as you wish. I chose about 25 colours initially, and then had to pick out the ones I could live without (very hard!!) but the make-up artists help by showing how a palette needs a base colour, highlighters, and darker shades to create the desired looks. They also group colours together and trial products on your skin/eyes so that you can make an informed choice and the palette is even more personal to you. Of all my close friends, I think we all have a palette, but each is individual to ourselves which is a great reflection of each of our personalities!! It also means that whenever one of us goes into a store and finds a colour we believe one or another would like, we let one another know. The palette eyeshadows can only be purchased from restricted locations, but they can be purchased from MAC stores internationally and online. I have dropped my palette a few times, and as a result one or two of the eyeshadows have broken. I have tried to put them together, and been successful a few times!! But when there is no hope, or the eyeshadow has finished (which takes me YEARS to achieve!), the individual eyeshadow can taken out of the slot (as it is linked magnetically) and the name of the product can be seen, meaning it can easily be replaced with the same one or another, depending on what the owner would like. I really enjoy the flexibility this product allows me as over the years I have changed my mind over products and colours, and become more experimental too. The palette is sleek and sexy, and always makes me feel proud whenever I pull it out. It is durable and had withstood everytime I have dropped it (even if one or two of the eyeshadows have not!) - in short, I love it!! I do think it is worth taking your time in choosing the eyeshadow colours as it is easy not to use many of them. I am actually considering beginning another palette where I separate the colours I use most often frm the ones I barely use. I am holding back though because I know I will end up buying all 15 again - the palette does not look right unless it is full and I love the choices available!! Smaller palettes are also available which hold four colours, and are probably more ideal to take when on the go. I am not sure of prices of these though. Thanks for reading, and if you buy a palette - I hope you love yours as much as I do mine!

wouldn't notice this if it disappeared

I've been having a tidy-up/clearout of lots of make-up related products and this was one of the many on the shelf which I felt I should write about, then dispose of... I bought this product quite some time ago as it was a recommendation from the sales lady in Boots - as an alternative to foundation which I was having difficulty using at the time. I was averse to using liquid foundation so I was introduced to this product as a moisturising alternative with added sparkle which would provide what I was told is a glow, but in a natural way. My product is slightly different to the one on the picture above, in that the packaging is plastic and not see-through, a very mild green and the writing runs up the tub in darker green writing. I have had this for quite some time now, and while it is not hugely attractive or 'loud' (in terms of standing out) on my shelf, it is not distasteful either. The packaging is quite sturdy and the flip-top cap has never come undone when I am travelling and it is thrown in with everything else!! The size of mine is 40ml, and I find this is small enough to travel with easily, but not so small that it gets lost. I often at it to my bags as a 'just-in-case' product - even though it has never been of any use. I guess I've been trying to find a reason to keep hold of it!! According to the back of the product, it contains Apple and Wheatgerm to help maintain the skin's elasticity. This is intended to be a silky moisturiser with light diffusing pearls to give radiance and a glowing complexion. It also says that this can be used alone, or before applying make-up. I must be honest - I have barely touched this product!! I found that when I used the product, it would clog up in places and I was always paranoid that I was shining away too much!! This may have something to do with the texture, which comes out of the cap in a thin measure, and is thicker to work with, meaning it does not spread as well as it could/should do (as a moisturiser/balm). Also, I would always end up with shiny hands which took an absolute age to get clean and shine-free again!! I do feel that this product would have been perfect for me because it seems a more natural alternative to foundation (I prefer the more natural look) but unfortunately, it just does not seem to work for me. Also, I don't find that it moisturises me much so I really cannot see any reasonable need to use it!! Thankfully I discovered powder foundations soon afterwards so use that when I feel I need to cover up a little - so this product gets 1 star from me because it really has never done anything useful for me...!!

I've had this some weeks now, and am enjoying using it.

I am a huge fan of M-A-C so it takes a lot for me to consider another brand because I have practically everything in the M-A-C range, and I've never been let down by them, so why would I change?! I do sometimes think I should experiment with different products though, and have allowed some products into my make-up collection, but with the vast array of items available in each area of make-up, it can be quite daunting!! So, when Rimmel offered to send me a full-sized bottle of their new Match Perfection Liquid Foundation to trial, I was quite pleased to accept! I know that the RRP is £8.99 for a 30ml bottle so thought this was quite generous and couldn't wait to try it out. The product arrived promptly and I remember thinking that the bottle was quite nice and solid. It has a push-down pump which I like because I feel this allows the required amount to be dispensed and isn't too messy or wasteful. There is a plastic lid on the bottle which protects the blue push-pump which has got a little messy but is easy to wipe clean inside. It means that when I travel I don't need to worry about the push pump releasing foundation inside my make up bag (causing a mess and wasting the liquid!) The bottle stays quite cold - probably owing to the thick glass (which is transparent meaning you can see how much of the product is left inside) and explains product information quite clearly in matching blue writing. My bottle is 201 (classic beige) and called 'Perfectly Flawless Finish'. It also has SPF 15 built into it and is designed to adapt to skin tone and texture using 'Smart Tone' technology. The idea behind this being that with an oxygen complex, it allows your skin to breathe. I have used liquid foundation from time to time years ago, but found that my skin felt tight and really uncomfortable. My skin is of normal tone and I don't need to moisturise it too heavily so the tightness put me off foundation for years until I was introduced to powder products and since then have stuck to these. I was a little unsure of what to expect, but from the first drop I was surprised at how well it covered my skin, without making my skin feel too tight or uncomfortable and the coverage was amazing!! At the time of using it I was using a great deal of concealer with my powder product because I have been so stressed and have recently had blemishes and things showing on my skin. This liquid foundation was light but covered everything up completely!! I was just a little surprised to say the least but found this took some getting used to because the coverage is slightly stronger to what I usually have. Thankfully my blemishes/problem skin has reduced somewhat, so I now choose to use this for when I am glamming up for a night out rather than everyday use but that is moreso because I prefer the lightness of powder rather than any fault with the product. More about the product itself - The consistency of the liquid is smooth, making it easy to apply, and a little goes a long way!! It stays put really well, and I can control the amount I use through the push-pump quite easily. I also find that the products I use afterwards/on top of the foundation (i.e. blusher/bronzer) work well with it. I like the packaging too as it looks attractive, solid and keep the liquid inside the bottle and intact. The second day on which I had it, I was rushing out of the door and it accidentally fell out of my bag onto a concrete driveway - at first I thought 'Noooo - what a waste!' and then tried to calm myself down thinking well it was free I suppose, and at least I had tried it once so knew I would go and buy another one - but to my surprise, it was perfectly fine!! I guess the question (which I may already have answered) is whether I would purchase this again. Pricewise, the Rimmel is considerably cheaper at £8.99, whereas my usual M-A-C is £19.00, but I don't see this as a day-to-day replacement for my M-A-C yet (as the coverage is stronger than I need for my skin) so I am happy to use them alongside one another depending on my needs/the occassion, so the answer is YES I would!!

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

worth having as an option but it wouldn't be the only one in my bathroom

I have recently signed up to a few companies to trial new products which I am interested in, so it is always a nice surprise when something new comes in through my door. One of these products was this VisibleCare Renewing Creme Body Wash from Dove. Firstly, I must say that for a tester/trial product, it is of a generous size at 55ml, which means that you can try the product properly, rather than just once from a sachet, which is why I felt I had used an adequate amount of the product to be able to write a review. The packaging is quite nice and sturdy (exactly as shown in the picture above), so it has been placed in my shower with my other products. I like the size of this (trial) product as it is suitable for travelling, but I imagine the full-sized version would be larger so could not comment on how portable that may be. The product itself smells quite nice and is the same as other Dove products with that gentle, luxurious scent. It squeezes out and isn't too runny or too thick, it reminds me of Dove handwash creams. I find that it lathers up enough, but not too much, it is more luxurious and creamy than bubbly. I do feel the moisturising effects of it straight away though and the smell while not overpowering, does smell nice. I am using herbal essences shampoo/conditioner at the moment and love the smell of that so like the mild and gentler scent attached to this Body Creme. The product makes a claim of 'Proven skin improvement in 7 days' now I use different products daily depending on my mood at the time. Although I have selected this a few times, I have not use it for seven days in a row so cannot comment on the effects of my skin, but I do feel clean and moisturised after using it. I still use my moisturisers though, out of habit I guess! I have no idea how much this product is on the market for, or where/when it will be available, but if a full-size bottle was on sale for £2 or less, I would probably buy it because it is nourishing, gentle and luxurious without being overpowering. It wouldn't be my first choice though because I would consider other products too and am not running out to buy it, so for that reason I will be rating it with four stars.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

              Will be missed!!

Similar to the B&O CD System I have also just reviewed, this is also a built-in feature of the house I have been living in temporarily. This particular TV says it is '32 DVD' inch, which I am presuming means it is 32 inches and the DVD is because there is a built in DVD System which is amazing!! Every DVD I have inserted to watch has had a HD/3D type quality about it, whereby the picture looks as though so realistic, as though it is a camcorder recording. This totally wowed me the first time I saw it, and it continues to make any DVD viewing a pleasure. This I really will miss when we move out!! The screen could be bigger, but this may be because of the size of the room, and the fact that we actually have a 50" Sony - going down to this size while all our electrics were being tested was something we got used to, but when the football is on (and we are all avid footy fans) we really do miss our larger screen!! Additional features include the stand being controlled using the remote control - meaning that it can be swivelled around to the position whih suits the viewer best. It is quite a bulky TV, so where with my Sony I would physically get up and just move it gently (and it swivels on it's stand as it is quite thin), this one is huge and I can't even push it further back into the corner, never mind swivel it around - I say this because prior to realising the remote controls the stand, we had to try so that we could adjust the screen to our preference! When the TV is switched off, it does revert back to it's original position but when the TV is switched back on, it remembers the position it was in last. There is a small, neat LED display above the TV which shows the time and this is in sync with all the other display units around the house. There are also smaller icons which show what is active (if anything is). I am not sure how much use this is because if the TV is on, you can see it is on and don't necessarily need to read that above it... Same with the DVD option!! I guess if someone was walking into the room and wanted to see what was on, then they could - but it really hasn't been of huge benefit to me personally. I have no idea how much this system cost, but it is built-into the house and runs through 6 different areas - also I have no idea how old it is, but know that it is at least 4 years old from what the agents have told me. Judging by the TV, it may be older, because updated TV's have been purchased and installed into other areas of the house, so for the age of the TV, I feel the picture and sound quality is amazing, and while on my other review I stated that I would not miss the CD System or felt it worthy to be purchased in my own home - this B&O TV is the opposite and I do think my next purchase would be a B&O - just with a larger screen to satisfy our footy passions!!!

              Disadvantages

Nice temporarily, but won't be missed when we move out...

I have only used this product because it comes fully installed in the house we have been renting for a few months. It does look expensive though - so I agree with the express review on this subject, but I have no honest idea how much it would cost. I believe it is in keeping with this property because it is a period building with a lot of high-end finishes where possible, and other area are listed so cannot be amended much. The 6-CD changer is ideal in this property too because due to the size, there is a full surround sound system whereby the TV, Office, Den, Dining Room, Kitchen and Master Bedroom are all linked to this system and the music can be played all around the house, with CD's easily changed or the radio put on. Even so, it is difficult to get used to the controls with most of the B&O equipment in this house, and the CD System is no different. We still can't figure out how to change the other 5 CDs on the rack (we have only figured out how to change the main one!) and even so, we don't really use the system very much around the house. It is impressive to look at and use from time to time, but I can't justify purchasing it when we move back home - or even missing it either to be honest!! All in all though - it looks attractive with a dialer display which matches the other display units, works well when we do use it, and is impressive - but while it is evident that it must be expensive, it does suit the property - just not me or my family so much!!
