I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express City Centre in Swindon and was extremely impressed.
I'm a permenant wheelchair user and the room I booked had everyone that I needed, with plenty of space for my electric wheelchair.
Check Inn was very smooth and had no problems. When I arrived at the room, I first had trouble opening the door and want back down to the reception where one off the staff were very happy to help me showing how to open the door.
In the wet room, there were handles and a walk in shower which had a perch seat. The shower was very easy to use and easy to get to the right temperature. There was also an emergency cord.
In the main bedroom, which was a double room, there was another emergency card near the bed.
They was even a plug socket for a fire alarm pillow, and a light that would flash if the fire alarm went off.
The bed was just the right texture for me.
The night time staff, Lee and Ahmed were excellent. They helped my to use to the vending machine for drinks when the bar was closed.
Check out was also very smooth. I can't rate breakfast as I had to leave early.
The room had cost me £49 for one night and I can't wait to still again.
I have also reviewed this hotel on booking.com and tripadvisor.co.uk under the same user name 'ldwheel'.
