i purchased this webcam after being very dissappointed with my previous webcam and its picture quality. As you would expect this Microsfot product performs extremly well, the webcam as a great picture quality and takes brilliant pictures, the sound quality is also very good as i have been told by my family in both America and Australia. The detail of this webcam is brilliant compared to alot of other web cams on the market at the moment. This product is also very easy to install, i just took it out of the box, plugged it in and away it went. my laptop picked it up straight away and took me through the step by step instructions to set up. very quick and very easy! i paid £16.99 for mine and for this price the product is excellant value. if you want a webcam tht offers good images and quality send then this is the web cam for you.
this does a great job protecting my laptop and it fits very comfortably into the case. The case is made of great quality material and is thick enough to give graet protection to my laptop without making it look too bulky and big, and i think will probably outlast my laptop. for the quality and duability of this case it is a very reasonable price. The case does have a very strong smell of neoprene for the first few weeks of purchase but does eventually wear off. it is also very easy to handle which makes it very easy to carry around as the surface is not slippery, although one thing that would make this laptop case perfect is a small handle or strap to get hold of to make carrying for a longer period of time or with other items even easier. the case also comes in various colours to choose from overall a great choice to help protect your laptop.
i brought this laptop to replace a very old and very slow laptop, First impressions were very good, well packaged. On first start up, your prompted create two partitions for the hard drive, one as a main section, where windows, programmes and your files will be, the other as a backup. Aesthetically the laptop is gorgeous, only glossy sections are the black strip around the keyboard, the two silver track pad buttons and the screen. finger prints also wipe off the glossy screen easily with a cloth. Everything else has a matte/metallic silver finish to it, with the lid having a parallel wavy effect on it. The track pad is the same matte finish as the rest of the laptop, only slightly sunk to give it a border. overall this laptop seems very weel built. The keyboard has a great feel to it, the number pad on the right is an added bonus without making the keyboard too small to use. Each key is individually spaced as well, so no problems hitting the wrong key so far. Track pad works well, nice and accurate. Directly beneath the track pad are the left and right click buttons, separate from each other with a shiny chrome effect finish. Top right above the keyboard is the power button which has a blue glow around it when in use, with the two speakers to the left of that. Bottom left of the keyboard is the microphone. The only issue I have with the design of this laptop is the positioning of the vents. The vent is half on the side and half underneath, so does tend to get a bit warm when on my lap. Reposition it slightly and it's fine though. Performance wise it's fantastic, hasn't slowed down once whilst I've been using it. It takes a second to load up some of the bigger programmes like iTunes, but nothing out of the ordinary. Plus the RAM seems easily upgradable, with one plastic cover over the HDD and RAM. Wi-Fi connection is very easy to create and quick to connect, although there's no obvious switch or application to activate Bluetooth, just hold FN & F9 and it should boot up a little application to flick Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on and off. Battery is ok but could be better, with it only lasting around 3 hours (Samsung have an application that stops charging at 80% to avoid damaging the battery, useful if you leave it plugged in a lot). Overall, I'd say it is a fantastic laptop for the price, Definitely recommended!
This product is brilliant, i took a long time to decide on which machine to buy as there are so many different types available now, however i chose this one as it seemed to be the only one that did other drinks apart from coffee. My husband really likes coffe but i am not keen, i love hot choclate and tea though, which this machine does all three. The machine works on T-discs which you can buy from supermarkets including tesco and sainsburys, they come in wither packs of 8 or 16 depending on if you need milk discs too to create the drink. the packs are quite cheap, varying from £3.50 to £5.00 depending on offers and the type of drink you want. there are many different choices including various costa coffees (latte, mocha etc) kenco coffees, carte noire, twinnings tea, cadburys hot choclate, milka and suchard hot choclate. which i have to say i prefer the milka and Suchard hot chocolat to the cadburys. You then simply insert the T-disc into the machine, the machine then reads the bar code on the T-disc and this is what tells the machine how to make the drink so it creates the right taste and effect with the right amount of water. the drinks vary in how much the make but in general they all make a good size drink. Although i did find with the hot choclates that i prefer two chocolate T-discs and 1 milk disc to create a nice large hot choclate for those cold winter evenings. The machine is easy and quick to clean with all the parts detaching and reattching easily. The water tank is stored on the back of the machine and makes between 5-6 drinks per time. Overall i love the product and use it nearly everyday, its easy and quick to make a drink and the huge variety of drinks makes it the best product on the market at present by far.
During our stay at Alton Towers we also purchased the Waterpark tickets, although we were not sure if we would use them. However I am glad we did as we had a brilliant time. There was 3 of us all together all aged in our mid 20's and we had a fantastic time. The pool area is extremely big and a lot of variety for all ages. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was extremely packed, which did start to cause a problem when we wanted to go on the flumes as we had to queue for rubber rings for around 20 minutes and then queue again to get on the flumes. Obviously if it was less packed this would have worked well but with all the rubber rings in use we only got to go on each flume once. They were definitely worth the wait though. The best Flume has to be the Master Blaster water Coaster, which takes you all the way round the park high up above everything else. There was also an outside area, which was also very good, with various flumes taking you down to the bottom of the pool. We went at the end of September so it was pretty cold outside but the water was kept at a warm temperature so the cold was not an issue. There is also a children's water play area, which looked great fun for the younger kids. The only thing I would say is they should open the pool later. It currently stays open one hour after the park closes which by the time you have got from the park back to the hotel is too late to then go for a swim. This would be good to keep it open longer as there is nothing else to do in the hotel once the park has closed and would mean you do not have to miss out on park time to go to the water park. There are plenty of lockers and changing rooms as well as a large shower area and heat booths (which you have to pay for). The lockers are also £2, but you get £1 back after use. The cost of the Water park is £16.50 each, although we got it slightly cheaper as we were staying the hotel, but I feel it is definitely worth the cost, it's a great Waterpark. Overall I think this waterpark is great fun and a must do for everyone. Although beware the food is quite expensive in here so maybe wait until after swimming to grab something to eat.
We visited Poldark mine at the end of October, a few days before it closed for the end of season and I have to say I was thoroughly disappointed. We arrived at around 10:30am as we had read on their site the first mine tour was at 11am. Our first impressions were not great, within the car park there were various cars, which I could only describe as old and abandoned. Things then only got worse, when we arrived there was no one on reception to purchase tickets for the tour, we waited but no one came, so we thought we would have a look around the rest of the site and come back. we walked around which only took about 10 minutes as there was nothing at all to look at apart from some models of mine equipment, rather than the real thing. Whilst walking around we saw one member of staff who did not look very happy and looked very unapproachable and another member of staff inside the pottery throwing centre looking after a baby, again looking very unapproachable. We then got back to the reception at about 10:45, still with no sign of life at all and no body around to ask. As there was nothing else to do apart from the mine tour, we left after only 15 minutes. This was certainly not worth the petrol cost to get here. Because of the disappointment, we then travelled to Penzance and visited Geevor mine, which was 200% better than Poldark, and I thoroughly recommend if you want a true mining experience you travel that extra distance and visit Geevor, we had a brilliant experience here, and they made you feel extremely welcome unlike Poldark!!!
We spent two days in the park during September 2012 and had a fantastic time. We have been a few times but several years ago and although some things have stayed the same there were also new rides too. The park is mainly designed for thrill seekers although there are a few rides for youngsters too but probably not worth the entrance fee if you don't like rollercoasters and adrenaline rides. We live closer to Thorpe Park but wanted to experience the rides that you can only find at Alton Towers and by comparing the too overall I would say Thorpe Park and Alton Towers are pretty much on par with each other with regards to the rollercoasters on offer. The rollercoasters are brilliant at Alton Towers and my favourite ride of all times is Thirteen, this ride is brilliant with a whole new concept compared to the usually standard rollercoasters. Rita, Nemisis and Air are also brilliant. The park is very spread out and does take you a long time to get to each area of the park, although there is the sky ride this only helps getting back and forth to two of the main areas, you definitely need two whole days to get around the whole park and on all the rides, especially when its busy. I have to say I was very disappointed with the water rides, I would have thought that the amount of effort that goes into designing and building new roller-coaster could also be put into new water rides. The log flume is now very tame and needs updating and the river rapids were extremely disappointing, more a gentle ride than rapids! Other rides include Hex, mine train, Duel as well as other fun but tame rides. we also went on the new Nemesis sub terror ride and I was thoroughly disappointed by this, we had to queue for ages due to the ride being new and after just over an hour we reached the front of the queue, ready to be terrified.... unfortunately the whole experience lasted no more than 5 minutes and just left me wondering where the rest of the experience was. It was not scary at all and compared to the Saw Live at Thorpe Park it was completely tame. However overall I was very impressed with the new rides and expansion of the park and just hope it continues quickly so I can go back and try out the new rides. Overall a great park but could do with some updating, and I would suggest only going with Children once they have reached the appropriate height to get on all or most of the rides otherwise you will find you have wasted a lot of money.
We stayed in the Splash Landings Hotel at Alton Towers in September 2012 and I have to say my experience was not great. There was me and three other adults all in our mid 20's, all of the bedrooms are designed for a family of four, one double bed and bunk beds. They have not thought about if four adults want to share a room at all. The double bed is fine but the bunk beds are tiny and did not feel very secure. One of the people I stayed with was just over 6 ft and could not fit in the bed at all. The rooms were also tiny with hardly any space to move around with four adults and our luggage in the room. During the day this room is ideal as we were out in the park but in the evenings there is nothing to do apart from sit in the room, very cramped. We opted for the evening buffet in the Flambo's restaurant, £19.99 all you can eat. The food was ok, there was a great variety to choose from, including Indian, roast dinner and Mexican. Everything was fine until I noticed a small child playing with the food on the buffet counter and then placing it back for someone else to select and eat, this is disgusting and I felt there needed to be more staff members keeping an eye on this as it put me off eating anything else. There was also unlimited soft drinks too as well as a good choice of deserts. The Breakfast all you can eat was included in the price of our stay, again not the best organisation we could have had. When we checked in the member of staff told us breakfast opened at 7am, we got down there for 7 so we could get to the buffet before the children, only to be told "no we do not open until 7:30am". However once we finally were allowed in the breakfast was brilliant. I could not fault it. They had everything you would need for a good English fry up, cereal, pastries etc and tasted very nice too. We were told there was a woodland walk to get to the park but this did not open until 9:30am but we could get in the park an hour early from 9am so I felt this was extremely pointless, surely they should open this at 8:30 so people can take the walk to get to the park for 9am. We ended up getting the monorail, which was located just around the corner from the hotel. During our stay we also had to call out maintenance as one of us had a shower the night before but in the morning the water was still there. We tried everything but it would not go away, obviously with the four of us in one room we all needed to use the shower that morning. We called out maintenance who were very quick in coming out to us and fixed the problem quite quickly but said it could happen again the next time we have a shower, luckily it didn't. but they didn't say what was wrong with it. After saying all of this I did feel the cost of staying here for 1 night was quite cheap and reasonable, for the 4 of us it cost £367, which sounds expensive, but this included two day tickets to the park, which are usually £45 each per day and tickets to the Waterpark for one day, again these are £16.50 per person, plus the inclusion of breakfast and free car parking. Overall I felt the food was ok for the type of hotel this is but they need to think more about the types of people they are accommodating. And for obvious reasons this is the best place to stay whilst going to the Park as it is on site and there is transport to get you to and from the park quickly. Good for a very short stay but I do not think I could last more than one night here!!
We absolutely love this place and is one of the main reasons we return to Cornwall year after year. There is a good selection of things to do here including a tractor ride tour, cider tasting, petting farmyard animals, tasting jams, and stocking up on cider for the year as well as a restaurant for lunch/dinner. The tractor ride tour is brilliant, it explains exactly how the scrumpy is made and takes you out into the orchards where they grow all the apples used to create the scrumpy, this tour is fun and educational with a wide variety of information about the farm and how it runs! once you return from the tractor tour you can then go on the rest of the tour within the farm, where you are taken into the cellars where you can see all of the equipment that was used years ago to create the scrumpy, the tour guide also explains how they came across some of their recipes and at the end of the tour there is also a taster session where you are able to try every different cider / wine that they sell. There is also a farmyard where you can get up close to shire horses, donkeys, goats, pigs and chickens. As well as the cider they also create jams here, which again you can taste their various flavours and watch them being made. The shop is stocked with hundreds of bottles of their famous Scrumpy as well as other varieties of cider. My favourite is their Rattler - pear cider, this is delicious! There is also a large restaurant located within the farm which serves extremely tasty lunches and dinners, and their apple crumble is absolutely delicious (made with their own grown apples). The prices are very reasonable and you receive extremely large portions!! Everyone is very friendly and they make you feel very welcome as you wonder around and taste their delicious produce. A MUST for everyone young and old!!!!
These bra's are the future! once you wear one you will never go back to the normal push up bra's. They truely do make you appear 3 times bigger. i dont have big breasts and i am always looking for a bra to help me get a fuller bigger appearence and these do exactly that, they lift you up and because of the amount of gel in each cup they push the sides of your boobs in creating a very good rounder effect (boob job effect). the bra moulds to your shape and your breasts do not feel squashed or squeezed in at all. The created effect does not look fake, but actually very realistic and gives an excellant desired effect. Even though the bra does have alot of gel in they do not feel heavey when you are wearing it and does not feel uncomfortable at all. they are soft and light and fit perfectly. This bra comes in different colours so you can have a selection depending on what you are wearing. They are also easy to wash and the colours do not run, i always dry mine naturally on an airyer and they have still held their shape perfectly. They cost £25 which is about average for a decent bra these days and if you are likely you can get them cheaper when they have sales, sometime they can be brought at half price which is a bargain for what you are getting. The bra also will last a long time before it starts to wear. overall the bra is confortable and makes you look good and feel confident.
I have been trying different shampoos for years trying to find the right one for me, as my hair is very dry and with some shampoos starts to look slightly greasey and lifeless within hours of washing it. However when i started using Herbal Essence Hello hydration shampooi started to notice the difference straight away. My hair was almost glowing after a wash and felt soft and looked refreshed. The packaging is very appealing, in a curvey see-through bottle and can be brought in a 250 or 400ml bottle. the lid is a push down flip lid that when pushed down on one side rasies the other side to squeeze out the shampoo. it is a very secure lid and when the lid is pushed down the shampoo is very safe inside and even when tipped upside down will not leak. I love the very bright and eye catching colours that are created with Herbal Essence and this one is no different, it is a very bright electric light blue colour. You will also love the smell of this product, it is Hawaiian coconut and orchid extract and smells very tropical and refreshing(all the different hebal essences shampoos have their own unique smells). On the front of the bottle it states it is for dry and damaged hair and this is certainly true with me, it has helped bring the shine and life back into my hair after trying many different products that didnt appear to do this. When using the shampoo you will find that you do not need much in your hand to create a very good lather and it will also omit an extremely tastey smelling coconut smell, which i love! although if you dont like coconuts then this probably is not the shampoo for you. I have also found that this shampoo if it gets in your eyes does not sting compared to other shampoos that i have used. I have also found with this shampoo that is rinses out very easily and does not leave ressidue in your hair, so it doesnt look like you have dandruff! i do not always use a conditioner after the shampoo just because i do not always have time but i have also found that you do not really need to and you then get to keep that coconut smell in your hair (although not a strong smell but a nice light smell) I usually buy the bigger 400ml bottle and i wash my hair nearly every day and this will last me at least 1 month sometimes about 1 and half months. it is also wise to shop around as sometimes tesco or Boots do offeres of buy two for £4.50 instead of £3.49 each, its always good to get offers if you can and stock up as although not highly expensive for a shampoo it is still worth it if you can get two for nearly the price of one. Overall this shampoo does what it says and leaves your hair feeling hydrateds, frech and alive, making it look healthy and cared for.
I have several items of clothing from Timberland including a pair of extremely comfy shoes, a waterproof jacket and some other items and i have to say i would recommend Timberland everytime when looking for outdoor clothing. Although their products do appear slightly on the expensive side they are worth every penny. Both me and my husband have a pair of Timberland gortex shoes and we love them, they are comfortable, robust and does exaclty what it says on the tin, keeps out the water and leaves your feet feeling cosy and comfortable even after a long walk. All of timberlands clothing i have found is very well made and protects you against all weathers. The items are also very fashionable, not like some outdoor wear clothing that you could only really wear for hiking, timberland can be worn any where any time and you would still look good. They also have a very wide range of clothing to fit with all ages. The Timberland logo also stands out on all of their products so people can easily see you are wearing a fashionable branded piece of clothing. I have never had any problems with any Timberland products lasting only a few months, my shoes are now about two years old and i wear them all the time and they are still as comfortable as ever. if you are looking for fashionable good quality clothing go for Timberland every time!
I have had my card for just over 2 years now, me and my husband were originally persuaded to get them to go on "double dates" with friends of ours. i wasnt that keen ont he idea to start with as i thought it would make me feel i had to go even if i didnt want to just to get my monies worth. However my attitude changed completely as soon as i started using it, the first weekend it was raining so we decided to have a "cinema day" starting at 10am and watched 4 films that day, it was brilliant we had nothing else to do and managed to get our monies worth and more in just one day. we have done this quite a bit since when its a horrible weekend and have nothing else to do. as a normal adult ticket now costs £9 and the unlimited card costs £14.99 a month all you need to do is watch two films that month to get the use out of the card. i have found that we always watch abotu 5 films a month (depending on what films are coming out over that time) but we have also found ourselves going to watch films we probably would not have gone to see just because it may have got bad reviews or we thought it might not be our type of film so thought it would be a waste of money, but with the unlimited card it doesnt matter if you find you dont like the film as you havent wasted any money and i have found that actually alot of these films have turned out to be some of my favourites. When i first had my unlimited card it cost £13.50 and is now £14.99 so has gone up slightly but so has cinema ticket prices so i cant complain really. i would say there are two downsides to this card: 1. on their website they promise food discount vouchers, but i have never recieved any 2. you can only buy tickets on the day you want to watch the film, so if there is a film coming out that will be really popular you can not book in advance However saying that these two downsides do not outweight the great benefits of this card which is you can see as many films as you want for a tiny amount of £14.99 per month, which i dont even notcie coming out of my bank account every month as its not very much at all. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who is a movie fan and loves going to the cinema
These headphones are BRILLIANT!!! i firstly saw these headphones when looking in the Bose store, when i saw they cancel out all noise i thought rubbish, impossible to cancel out all sound! Oh how wrong was I. firstly dont let the cost of them put you off, they retail at around £299, which is what i paid for them from the Bose.co.uk website, however i did then pay £10 for delivery making the total £309. either way still very expensive but very worth it, especially if you listen to music whilst in loud environments such as on the train or if you want to listen to something in the living room whilst someone else is watching TV, these are perfect! the main reason you are paying so much is due to the noise cancelling function, i dont think there is anything you would be able to hear whilst your music is playing however quiet or loud you want to play it. They cushion your ears very well and are so comfortable to wear, you forget you have them on! they are well padded and fit perfectly around the ears, which i guess is what makes these headphones so effective to cancelling out the noise, they leave no gaps for sound to get in. they are extremley comfy soft pillows for your eyes with the added bonus of music!! The sound quality of these headphones is also truely brilliant which after paying £300 is what you would expect but i feel these still exceed expectations. You can really feel and hear the bass and every instrument within the song. it also gives a great effect of surround sound instead of just music pumping into your eyes. Overall a great set of headphones, stylish, comfortable and does what it says - Cancels out sound around you.
our old phones finally died a few weeks ago so needed to buy some new ones (not that we ever really use the "home phone") however after many searches and reading many reviews i decided on these due to the amount of positive comments and feedback compared to some other phones. we brought the set of three as we have one up stairs, one in the hall and one in the lounge. one of the good things about BT phones is that you have the option to buy either one, two, three or sometime five in a set, so suitable for anyone with any type of need or home. One of the main things that drew me to this phone is that it has an energy efficiant power supply, so will use around half the amount of energy that other BT phones would use, saving you money on your electric bill! i brought the three pack from Argos for £49.99 which i felt was very reasonable for a pack with 3 phones. (this was on offer as usually £59.99) The phones feel very light and are very easy to hold, they are quite long and thin which makes it very easy to grip and hold when having a conversation, and doesnt start to hurt your hand after being on the phone for ages like i have found with some phones. Argos only had the black style available but i have seen on other sites that they are alos available in silver. i felt the black ones look very modern and stylish and fitted in well with a modern home. There are many useful settings on this phone, i especially like the phone book option where you can add all your contacts to make it easier when needing to contact someone, you no longer have to search for your phone book or find your mobile to get the number. it is very simple to use by just pressing the phonebook picture button and scrolling through to find the person you want to contact. i also really like the internal call feature, so you can call another phone within the house, this is especially useful if you have a large house, you can use the phone downstiars to call the phone upstairs and speak to your partner / child etc rather than shouting through the house. this is also helpful for when you answer the phone downstairs and you want to transfer the call to the person upstiars. There are also other features such as redial, speak phone, call log, hold and conference calls but we tend not to use these ones. These phones are great and the volume and sound are brilliant, you also have volume control to either turn up or down if the person on the other end is too loud or too quiet. with many phones i have experience the battery life on them is never very good and you usually start to find leaving the phones off of the base for a few hours will run the phone right down, however so far with these phones i have found the battery life is much better than i had expected them to be and seem to last a very long time. The only down side is that ours did not come with an answer phone however we just make the most out of 1571 instead. overall very stylish modern looking phones, great feel to them and work very well.
