Imagine you were a fox. You were going about you normal, everyday life when you hear the roar of the hunting dogs and the galloping hooves of the horses. You can run but you can't hide! The dog soon catches up with you and you know that you are going to die. Except it is not a quick, painful death. In fact the complete opposite. You feel the pain of being ripped apart until eventually you die. This is what it's like for over 20,000 fox's and cubs every year. They are slaughtered in traumatic and excruciating ways in which surely no animal deserves to be put through. Fox hunting is just a sport and although the fox’s are pests they don’t deserve to dies in this way. Some people may believe that fox hunting is good and their opinion also counts but I can’t see the point in torturing innocent animals for fun. What’s worse is that the farmers try to justify what they’re doing. Whilst slaughtering parents the hunters are sentencing the cubs to death with no one to look after them or feed them. I think fox hunting is wrong; the fox population could be controlled in other, more humane ways. This is definitely something the government should carefully think about.
This is the website to the Brittania Music club. Incase you didn't know what that is I am going to tell you. You would have probably seen the adverts for the club, they are everywhere. What you do is pick 5 CD's from the ones available and only pay for one of them, and all you do in return is buy 6 regular priced CD's from them in 2 years, at least three in the first year. Sounds very simple but the regular priced albums you buy are twice the price of a normal one. After looking at the brochure I sent the CD's back. Anyway, the site is awful. There are loads of problems with it and it is almost impossible to get around. Loading The Site; This takes about 1 hour to get it woring probably. All the frames never load up probably and you can't tell where anything is. It is slow and the amount of times you have to refresh the page to try and get it all to load up is impossible. Be prepared to spend a long time on this site as they haven't designed it very well! Getting Around; Getting around is worse than loading up. You have to first find out where to click by working out which frame goes to which thing, it is very confusing! Then once you are where you want to be you spend ages getting the whole screen up instead of parts of the frames. This does take a long time. So, there are only two of the huge amount of bad points. The search engine is one of the worst things, it comes up with hardly anything and even if it does you don't get an explenation. Everything about the site is awful, the graphics, getting around and everything else was horrendous. I ordered my CD's though through the post and they did come quite quickly and in good condition. I would definately not recommend this site and if you do want to jopin the music club then it is easier to do it by post.
Shopping on the internet is a new way of shopping, although a lot of people think it isn't trustworthy it is definately the easy way to shop. I don't like buying clothes on the net but I do buy other things like CD's and videos. From food to clothes, the internet has everything you could want right from your home. It is very easy to shop online but you still have to be careful, there is still a lot of credit card fraud and other things. I love shopping on the net, it is easy and quick but there are some things you do have to remember. I have put together five points on safe and happy shopping online. I hape they are of use to you. 1. Make sure you are using a secure server. This is where no one else can access your information. A secure server protects you from fraud so you need to make sure you are using one when you give out information on the web. 2. Make sure the website is trustworthy and that other people have used it and would reccomend it. The better known the site, the more trustworthy. 3. If the quality of the goods is unsatisfactory then you should return them. If you don't then they may carry on doing this. If it is an accient they will be more than happy to replace it. Also if you do return goods make sure you get a recorded delivery to show that you sent the goods back. 4. Look around on the internet for the best deals, you may find what you want somewhere else cheaper. Looking around could save you a lot of money, this will make online shopping all that bit nicer. 5. Be sure you know what you are buying, it is better if there is a picture or explanation and better still, both. Don't get ripped off, always make sure you know what it is you're buying. If you do everything above then shopping on the internet can be both safe and fun. Online shopping is great and it is always fun, there are a lot of things to buy and in some places if you spend a lot you get free postage and p acking. Although you do need to get somethings in off line stores online is a great new way of shopping. There is everything you could want and you can get it all from the comfort of your own home. There re a lot of advantages but also a few bad points. I love it and so should you.
Pushposters.com is a website full of posters, T-shirts and much more all to do with singers. From Eminem to Atomic Kitten there is every band/artist you could want. It isn't just for Americans either, they put all the prices in both dollars and pounds. It is a great site and although you have to pay p&p the products are worth buying. Posters; There are a wide range of posters, from D12 to Destiny's Child. There are usually a lot of different ones for each artist. All a bit cheaper then in the shops so it is worth buying them on here but you have to add on a couple of pounds for p&p. Keyrings/tour guides ect; There are loads of other little things on here including things like keyrings. They are pretty cheap and great if you collect things like that. T-Shirts; There are loads of T-shirts and jackets, they go all the way up to X-Large so it doesn't matter what size you are. They do t-shirts, jackets and tight tops. There are loads to choose from and are all at quite a good price as well. The website is really easy to use and everything is labeled clearly so you can easily find whatever you want. The delivery is quick and all the products have good explanations so you know exactly what you're buying. This is a great website. The list of things at the top makes it easier to find and you can sign up for mailing lists of your favourite singers. You even get entered into a prize draw each month. This is worth visiting and has a lot of offers. Every week they choose a favourite band/artist and all their stuff is reduced by 10% which is great. I love buying things from this site and although I have to pay postage and packing the products are still great value.
Everybody's dream (well girls' anyway!) is to have soft and non greasy skin. Well here is the answer to all your problems, E45 cream. It moisturises your skin and leaves it soft and grease-less. After I get out of the shower or bath my skin is always flaky and rough, but as soon as I rub in some E45 skin it all goes away and I am left with non-flakey skin. It soaks into your skin quickly aswell so you don't have to worry about hair getting stuck to your cheeks. It doesn't have the best smell but it's ok and you can put up with it because of how good it is! E45 cream is very tolerant to your skin and the results are achieved are excellent. In the summer if you get mosquito bites or bug bites and they itch a lot, E45 is great to put on them. It stops the itching and stops the swelling, that is if you get swelling. If like me mosquitos love your blood then this is a much cheaper way of getting rid of those awful bites. This and keeping your windows shut at night! E45 can be quite expensive so if you find a tub or tube on offer then it is good to buy it even if you don't need any. It will save you a lot of money. Of couse the price depends on the store you buy it in, I buy it from Safeways and sometimes Superdrug, I find it cheaper there. I love using E45 cream and find it very good. It is a great moisturising cream and works excellently. I have been using it for years now and love it. I hope you do to, it is definately worth buying.
Enid Blyton is one of the most famous childrens story writer in the world. Her books have sold millions and she is a record breaking author. She has written many books including The Famous Five and The Secret Seven. Enid Blyton is the author of more than 700 childrens books. She was born on 11th August, 1897, in South London. She was the eldest in her family of three children. Her many great books have made her famous world wide and even though she is no longer alive she still lives on through her books. The naughtiest girl in the school/ The naughtiest girl again/ The naughtiest girl is a moniter; This is a three in one book but they do also come seperately. It is about a litte girl named Elizabeth. Elixabeth is a spoilt little brat, then when her nanny wont look after her while her parents are away, she has to go to a bording school called White leaf. Elizabeth objects to this and decides that the only way she is going to be able to go home is if she is so naughty that they'll have to send her home. So, as soon as she gets to whiteleaf she starts misbehaving. She is nasty to everyone and refuses to share her food that she brought with her with everyone else, this soon makes her a lot of enimies. That is the first book, then in the second she continues to be naughty, this time she is more determined to go home. She soon makes a few friends after she starts to show how kind she can be. When she has to give in the money she gets she refuses. Then in the last book Elizabeth starts to grow up and stop being so selfish. The school choose her to be a moniter and Elizabeth finally learns that she is better of being good. This is a great book especially for kids but adults can read it too. Enid Blyton is a great author, her books keep a lot of people happy. Some of them have been made into television programmes, like Noddy. This is now a famous cartoon for the smaller children. It is about Noddy, a little man living in a village with his frie nds, and all his adventures. Enid Blyton has certainly made reading fun. I love reading her books because they take you to another world and you forget everything around you. She is a great author and deserves a read. I hope you like her as much as I do.
Dooyoo.co.uk and uk.ciao.com are the two main opinion sites in the UK and they are in competition with eachother. Ciao is very much like Dooyoo but I do prefer Dooyoo. Ciao; www.uk.ciao.com This is Dooyoo's biggest threat; many Dooyooers are also joined to this one. It pays you 50p for joining, 10p for every opinion you write and 2p every time someone reads one of your opinions. You also receive 30% of referred friend's earnings. This can add up to a lot, but although you get a bonus for joining you get paid less for every member read, on Dooyoo you get 5p per member read. If you write the best opinion they pay out £15 a month to each of the best ones, so if you write well you can get bonuses. They update your account once a day so you have to wait before you can see your new balance, which can get annoying. The layout is pretty simple but it can be quite complicated. On the fron you have what you can write about but it is laid out differently to dooyoo, it isn't in a list so it can be quite hard to find what you're writing about. The good thing is that it is spread out quite a lot but there is also a lot of information crammed in at the same time. Once you start writing it does get easier but it takes a little while at the start for people to read your opinions. But after you've written there for a while you do get more reads. The writing part is easy and then at the end there aren't so many questions to answer as Dooyoo, which makes it easier but this can mean that there isn't enough information. They don't show you how much you have got on screen though, if you want to know you have to go into your account whereas on Dooyoo your amount of miles is shown near the top right hand corner of the screen. They pay out very slowly. Once your up to your £10 or whatever sum of money you want, you request payment. They then do all of the requests at one time each month. Where as on Dooyoo they do everything as soon as it is asked for. Then depending on when you requested payment you get your money transferred into your bank account. Dooyoo; www.dooyoo.co.uk Registering is easy and then after that you can start writing. Dooyoo awards miles for your writing. 1000 miles= £1. They give you 100 miles for every op you write and then 50 miles every time someone reads it. This is a good payment system but can occasionally get confusing. The good thing is your balance is shown on the screen whilst you are on dooyoo, which is handy sometimes. The layout is simple and easy to understand. Down the left hand side of the page is a list of what there is to write about. Then where your miles are shown you can easily access your account. Writing is easy and at the end they ask you questions, which can sometimes help you improve your opinion. Then when it is posted, new ones are sometimes shown on the front. People start reading your opinions straight away and if you write well then people will trust you, therefore you will receive more reads. Your amount of miles is changed automatically so you don’t have to wait a day to see what your new balance is. When you request a voucher or payment they do this straight away so a couple of days later you have a nice cheque come through the post if that is what you wanted. These are two great sites but I think that Dooyoo is the better out of the two. Ciao is a great site and has a geat comminity but Dooyoo is better.
These days the Internet is full of opinions sites and millions of people are joined to them. They go on, write opinions about things and earn money for it. There is certainly a lot of competition between the sites. Probably the biggest in the UK is the 'war' between Dooyoo and CIAO, it isn't really a war but a battle for members. I think though that Dooyoo has to be the most reliable out of the lot. I have always been paid on time and it has been quick. Epinions; www.epinions.com This is an American opinion site and is quite good. You receive Eroyalties credits for your opinions and then when you have enough they pay you in dollars. But you have to fill out a hundred forms and send them off to America, so you end up paying more money to do this than you actually get. It is still a good site though. I have not bothered about the money and written a few things. It is a good community and the layout is quite like Ciaos. I would recommend this but it is nowhere near as good as Dooyoo. Consumer Reviews; www.consumer-reviews.co.uk Don’t even bother with this one. You get paid 40p for every op you write and 5p for every member read, and a £1 bonus for joining. But once you have registered and written some opinions, after a while they delete them all and take away your earnings. I have tried this three times and every time it does not work. Another bad thing is that you can only write about things to do with computers, i.e. printers and scanners. Which only gives you a certain amount of things to write about. The layout is ok but this is definitely not worth bothering, I think they are in a bit of financial trouble. Those are 4 sites, there are also others like writtenbyme.com and the Indian site mouthshut.com, these are both ok but are very similar to epinions. There are loads of opinion sites but personally I think that Dooyoo is the best. It has a better community and looks set to be here for a long time to come. Its layout is excellent and it is easy to find your way around. Ciao is also good but does have its few down points. Have a search around the web to see what you can come up with.
Neighbours has been going for years and years, and over those years it has bought us deaths and births, marriages and divorces but it has never failed to keep us glued to our screens. A lot of the characters like Lou and Harold have been there for a very long time and others like the Scully's have only been there a while. But whether they are old or young they have still made an impact on the Australian soap. The biggest thing about Neighbours is it's fantastic storylines, although they can be over the top, they make it what it is and it is these storys that attract the viewers. I love watching neighbours and in some ways it is a funny soap, but in others it makes us sad and angry. I have been watching it about 5 years and over those years I have seen many characters come and go, but my favourite has to be Harold, he must be the funniest man on TV. Harold has been there since the beginning and he has definately made the show what it is. His trumpet traumas keep us loving him. There have been a lot of storylines on Neighbours, some of my favourite ones are below. Madge and Harold; This couple have certainly had their fair share of troubles. When Harold and Madge went to the sea a long time ago Harold fell in the water and drowned. This devistated Madge and she was leftheart broken. Then it turned out that Harold was alive but he had suffered from Amnesia and forgotton who he was. Then they were reunited and got back together again. They were getting on fine but then a few years after their reuniting Madge was diagnosed with cancer and there was no cure for it. So, a couple of months ago she died surrounded by her friends and family. Harold is still getting over it. The Motorbike Crash; Last year Stephanie Scully and Libby Kennedy were on their way home from a trip on Steph's bike. But they hit a car and crashed. It put them both in hospital. Steph escaped with a few broken bones, but Libby was left in a life threatening posi tion. When she finally began to recover she was told that because her insides had been messed up so much during the various operations she had, she could never have children. This was devistating for Libby and she was so upset she called off her wedding to Drew because she thought she couldn't give him what he wanted. Those are only two storylines, but big ones. Neighbours is a great soap, it is one of the best Australian ones around. I love watching it and it is great fun. some of the storylines are a bit over the top but that's what makes Neighbours, Neighbours. Have a watch and see what you think.
Eating disorders such as Bulemia and Anorexia are becoming more and more common in young women. Teenagers especially feel that they are too fat and need to loose weight. I think that a lot of this is due to the pictures in magazines of thin models and people like Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell. Although you cannot entirely blame models you have to admit that everyone wants to be as pretty and thin as them, this is why a lot of women become bullimic or anorexic. There is also a problem with over eating, although it isn't as big as not eating or making yourself sick it still can be quite a serious matter. When people become depressed for some reason they tend to eat more and more to comfort themselves. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being fat but is you do eat too much this can cause problems with your health. One of my friends was anorexic last year and it showed me how serious this could actually be. She used to hardly eat anything when she came over, when we went out for meals she would just have a salad and even left some of that. For a long time she wouldn't admit that she had a problem. If you do admit that you have a problem then you are already half way to recovery. It went on for months but then after a while she became very thin and beagan to get ill, and no matter how thin she got she always thought she was too fat. I rang a helpline and they gave me some advice. I talked to my friend and we discussed her problem. After a bit of persuasion she went and saw her doctor. She began eating again and is now as normal as ever. This was a big eye opener for me and I do think that if you have a problem or a friend does with eating then you should get help and advice. There arealways people to talk to and you don't need to feel embarrased. I don't think that models are the main cause in eating disorders, but they do play a small part. There is a lot of influence on people. Diets are also a good way to loose wei ght as long as you do them properly and get advice from your doctor first. Eating Disorders, I think, are caused by what people think of themselves, whether they believe they're fat or thin. Everybody deals with things in different ways. But if you or someone you know is having problems then it would be a good idea to speak to someone about it.
Online banking is now the new way of banking. Forget ques in banks or having to spend ages at the cash machine, online banking has to be the quickest and easiest way of accessing money. Even banks prefer it because it saves them money on staff. Almost every bank offers online banking now and you can easily set up an account. But you do have to visit the bank to do this. This is a new way of saving and you can't just take it out whenever which is excellent for those who want to save but can't (like me!). You can also set up standing orders which will transfer a certain amount of money each month into your online account. It couldn't be any easier. You can even call oyur online account whatever you like. The best online bank, I think, is Barclays, all you have to do is go into a barclays bank and set up an account. Then it is open and very secure so that no one apart from you can access your money. All you have to do to get money out is transfer the ammount you want into a normal account thn after a couple of days you can take it out. This is certainly a superb way of saving. The Website is also excellent to use, it is laid out neatly and everything is easy to find. It is all divided up into sections which makes it better. There isn't much more to say except that this is a great new way of banking and that soon everyone will be doing this. I love online banking and find it very easy to use. Give it a try!
Diesel, like Wrangler and Levis, is a denim company. It makes jeans, jackets, tops and all kind of other things. The only problem is, they are very expensive and you are likely to pay over twice as much for a pair of Diesel trousers as you would for a pair of Levis trousers. But the clothes are of good quality and there's no doubt that they'll last. The clothes are excellent as well, they are fashionable and good to wear anywhere. I own a pair og jeans, a top, a denim jacket and a roll neck jumper from Diesel and I love wearing them. They are some of my favourite clothes. I have explained them below and put the price next to them. Denim Jacket; £90 This is definately my favourite denim jacket after all I paid a lot of money for it! It is quite dark in colour and is pretty much like a normal jacket but with a name. Jeans; £65 These are quite cheap compared to some of the others. But they are great jens, they last a long time and I love wearing them. They are a light coloured denim at the top then get darker as they go down. These are bootcut at the bottom and are really nice jeans. Top; £25 This is a long sleeved top with a silver picture of an eagle. It is a nice top and looks great. I have it in white but you can get it in black as well. Roll Neck Top; £70 This is one of the most expensive jumpers I have ever bought. It is black with long sleeves. It is very comfortable and keeps you warm. There are loads of other clothes by Diesel and whatever you need they'll probably have it. It is a great company. Diesel is a great company but also very expensive. If you have a lot of money to spend then these things are great to buy but if you don't then you can get basically the same stuff but without the label for a lot less money. I love wearing my Diesel clothes and they are a great for most occasions.
Over a year ago Home and Away was taken from ITV and now, after a long wait, it is back but this time on Channel 5. Last year Home and Away was on ITV, we had great storylines such as Gypsy's kidnapping. Now it is back and as big as ever. A few weeks ago on the sunday before it came back to our screens, channel 5 recapped all that had been going on the previous year. Then on the monday it picked up where it left off and the storys such as Sally's wedding and Peta and Edward continued to keep us glued to the screens. A better thing is that there is an omnibus of all the shows in the week on the Saturday and the episode is repeated the next dat at lunchtime. So you get threechances to watch each episode. Home and Away has been going for a long time and during that time the opening to the show has changed quite a lot of times but the music has stayed the same. Home and Away isa very Australian soap so when you're wathing it you feel like your actually in Australia. Like all other soaps Home and Away has some dramatic storylines. Some of the best have been in the last few years. Dramatic storylines are what makes Home and Away, it keeps you watching the show and you then become hooked. Some of the best storylines are below. Gypsy’s kidnapping; When Gypsy Nash starts dating a man who her father, Joel, sent to jail a long time ago, you know something is bound to go wrong. That is exactly what happens, he kidnapped her and held her hostage in an old shed for over six weeks. He hardly feeds her and she gets very scared. Then eventually her father and the police figure out where she is and they go and rescue her. Robert (the kidnapper) then goes back to the Nash household and burns it down nearly killing them. Eventually he is caught and arrested. Sally’s wedding; This isn’t a really big drama but it is a good storyline. After Sally goes travelling she comes back with a guy called Kieran. They decid e to get married and Sally is over the moon. She gets her dress and is all excited, but meanwhile Kieran is hitting on Gypsy. Then at the wedding they are half way through saying their vows when Gypsy stands up and shouts No! She ends up cancelling the wedding and Sally is left distraught. Those are only two of the many storylines Home and Away has brought us over the years. From kidnappings to weddings home and away is certainly full of surprises. This is a great soap and I enjoy watching it. Although it can be a bit boring sometimes it is still a great soap.
If someone is termanally ill nad they have no chance of surviving I think they should be able to choose when and where they die instead of letting a disease decide. If someone is termanally ill they should be able to die without pain or suffering. Some people are ill and don't have access pain relief. They maybe too unwell to care for themselves or even be able to end their lives whether or not they want to. It is these people who should have a choice about when they want their life to end. But those who want to end their lives quietly should be well enough to make the desision thereselves. They should be in a fit state to make the desision, if they aren't then you could never know whether ot not they really wanted to. In some countries they allow this and have no objection to people ending their lives and they can't really stop people doing that in this country but if someone else ends a life for the dying person they can face a charge of murder. I know a lot of people who have suffered and died from cancer or other life threatening diseases and they didn't end their lives and had to live the pain of the last few months of their lives. I think that something should be done to help those who have no way out by themselves. Television has dealt with issues a lot. For example Dot and Ethel on Eastenders. Ethel was a cancer sufferer and was very ill, she wanted dot to end her life for her so she wouldn't have to go through the pain and so she could die with dignity. At first Dot objected to this but then she realised it was what Ethel wanted. Ethel wasn't well enough to do it herself so Dot made a desision and helped Ethel. The BBC handled this issue very well and showed that there are those who want to end their lives but aren't well enough to do so. I agree with pippin200 when he/she says that people should get to choose when they die as long as they are of sound mind. This is my personal opinion a nd if you have any comments feel free to tell me.
Hollyoaks is a great soap but has only been around for about 5 years. I started watching it a few years ago and I love it. Hollyoaks is different to other soaps, the characters are funnier and some of the storylines can be better. Although Hollyoaks could never be better then soaps like Eastenders and Coronation Street it is still a great soap which is worth watching. Hollyoaks is great with it's storylines, they have great plots but they are spread out, not many and far between. I prefer it like this because it makes the storys more exciting if there hasn't been a good one for ages. Over the years Hollyoaks has been about there have been quite a few dramatic ones. Some are below. Rob Hawthorn; Rob has to be the most evil man on television. He went out with Lucy Benson and sold her drugs and other things. Then Lucy's brother Kurt threw him off a roof and left him to die. Unfortunately he survived and came back for revenge. HE kidnapped Kurt, Lewis, Kurt's wife Ruth and Lucy's boyfriend Tony and took them to a huge water tank. He threw them in there and kept changing the temperature of the water and left them to die. Eventually they got out. Then when they thought it was over Rob came back with a can of petrol and a match. He lit the bus on fire when they were in it but he ended up killing himself and not the others. That was the last we Saw of Rob Hawthorn. Mandy's rape; This is probably one of the best storylines. Mandy Richardson's father raped her after Sol had been round. She then ran away to London and the police assumed that Sol had something to do with it. Then Mandy's father and brother went to look for her. They eventually caught up with her but she ran away and at the end of an episode we saw her about to jump off a bridge. Everyone assumed she was dead but then she turned up in hospital after being knocked down by a car. When she finally got better she told the police what had happened and he was sent to jail. These are just two of the many storylines, others include Luke's rape and the fire at the Dog in the Pond. Over the few years it's been around Hollyoaks has brought us some great characters and storylines. I love watching Hollyoaks and I think that it is a great soap.
