I have a 2 year old little girl and from her very first bath I used johnsons baby shampoo. Then when my little one turned one and a half I switched to a children's shampoo with little problems. My little girl is now 2 and a half and 2 months ago I was advised by my doctor to switch back to a baby shampoo as my little girl had started to develop really bad eczema within her hair line. I was told that a child or adults shampoo would be far too perfumed and would only irritate and inflame this condition. So without hesitation I went straight to my nearest tescos and stocked up. The bottle design: Johnsons has used a neutral yellow colour for their shampoo. The bottle itself is a slightly tinted yellow see through bottle so you can easily see how much shampoo you have left. I much prefer see through bottle with products like this because there is nothing worse than being half way through washing your hair and finding your shampoo bottle is empty. The lid is a flip top simple design which is also yellow it is easy to open for a adult but is stiff enough to be a problem for a child to open. The exit for the shampoo is simply a hole and does not really need any squeezing to get any product out it just kind of runs out. On the front of the bottle is the product description. 'johnsons baby shampoo' there is also a tear drop with 'no more tears' written inside this implies that is contact is made with your child or babies eye it will not hurt. Under the product name is a short statement made by johnsons 'as gentle to eyes as pure water' this helps backup their claim to no mor terms. On the back of the bottle is a large tear shaped sticker with the barcode ingredients and a larger statement 'we love babies and we understand babies eyes are delicate. That's why our no more tears baby shampoo is as gently to the eyes as pure water. Ideal for gently cleansing baby's hair. Rinses easily, leaving hair baby soft and with our unique bay soft smell. Ophthalmologist tested' the bottle size I own is 300ml. The shampoo itself: When pouring the shampoo xonto your hand you imidiatly notice how runny this is. This at first does cause a worry as to how well the shampoo will distribute across the hair and how easily it lathers up. The smell is really neutral but at the same time almost fruity. It is a strong smell which is surprising considering it claims to be gentle to the skin and eyes. The shampoo in use: Obviously my 2 year old has more hair than a baby but for her hair now I used a 50p size amount of shampoo and found that it worked through her hair very easily. Which was a added relief as where her head was so sore I didn't want to have to work it in too much causing her pain. But infact she didn't batter a eye lash and really didn't seem atall bothered. When she was a baby I used less than half the 50p amount and found it lathered up just as well. As you are working it around the hair it let's of the lovely 'baby' smell which I must say I have missed. Washing it out of a baby's hair is so easy lay them bak (obviously supporting their head) and rinse with a small cup or bucket or even by cupping your hand if the baby is very young. Ever now and then work your hand through the hair the ensure that all the shampoo is out. When washing it out of a baby's hair this was I found it was extremely easy to avoid getting the bubbles into her eyes. However she is now 2 and a half and bath time is obviously a big game. Short of jumping in the bath and sitting on her (which I think is slightly frowned upon) their is now way she is laying down to let me wash the shampoo out so I find that the chucking the bucket over her head technique works best. But with this the shampoo does run out of her hair in all directions. With johnsons baby shampoo my little one laughs away and doesn't even rub her eyes once which is great. I guess this means the their claim of it being a no tears formula is true. the small after drying her hair was just as lovely as in the bottle and the smell stayed around till her next hair wash. It really does leave a 'newborn baby' smell. because the smell did stick around for so long I was a little worried about the effects it would have on her eczema. The effects the shampoo had on the eczema: As the shampoo does have such a strong smell I did have concerns as to how gently it would be on her skin. Although I was proved wrong with its effects on the eyes. I have to say after 2 weeks of going back to using johnsons baby shampoo the scratching had stopped and the eczema had almost completely cleared up. Soi will be sticking with this shampoo from now on. The price and availability: For the 300ml bottle I paid around £2.69 this is a little bit pricey but not enought of a issue to loose a star. In my opinion you pay for what you get and if for £2.69 I get a product that's kind to my toddlers eyes as well as her sking condition I'm more than happy. This can be found in all supermarkets, online and is stores stocking baby products such as boots and superdrug. Prices may vary in different stores. And all supermarkets hold baby events where the prices are dropped. I am giving This product 5 stars as I am more than happy to recommend it to anyone with a baby or child no matter what the age.
I seem to have been living a sheltered life when it come to this product. I have short coloured hair that I have to style everyday which I. Turn means washing everyday that I leave the house. I discovered batiste dry shampoo by accident when out shopping with my nan and just had to give it a go. I bought batiste dry shampoo a hunt of colour in vibrant and red. The back of the can claims 'batiste dry shampoo for vibrant and red hair is perfect to use between washes. A quick burst revitalises hair and removes any excess grease. Hair feels gorgeously clean and fresh with added body and texture. The hint of colour compliments red shades and helps blend in root re-growth on oloured hair.' Obviously I have bright red hair so thought this would be a great buy and if it worked could save me washing my hair everyday which is not only expensive but I'm pretty sure it can't be that great for my hair. I bought batiste dry shampoo from Super drug for about £2.50 for a 200ml can. On the shelf the can looks like a can of hair spray the vibrant and red version has a red and orange pattern covering the can with the batiste dry shampoo logo on it. The applicator is exactly the same as a hair spray and is to be applied in the same way. On the back on the can there are pictures showing how this product should be used along with a description which says ' shake vigorously before use. Keep nozzle about 30cm from hair, spray into roots. Massage through with finger tips. Brush and style. Colour can easily be removed from clothing with a little soap and water.' I encoded to use this for the first time the day after purchasing on spraying this product on my hair I did notice a hair spray kind of smell that was also fruity. It's a hard fragrance to explain but it was fresh and pleasant and the smell stuck around on my hair which was nice. Now this did take the grease out of my hair but at the same time left my hair looking less bright than usual and abit dull. This wasn't a problem as my hair was manageable and I was able to style my hair and go out with confidence without washing my hair. This did also blend my roots as they started to come through which was great. The colour did transfer onto my cloths so I would say when applying this pop a towel around your shoulders because although the colour easily comes out in the wash it does not just sponge off as the product would imply. I would recommend this for a quick freshen up of your hair with out having to wash it.
Before I start I have a little girl so I will be reviewing the girls version of these. As I said I have a little girl she is 2 years old and has learnt the art of whipping off her nappy but has yet to Learn the art of using a potty. Because of this I have now started to use pull ups instead of nappies and so far she has no interest in taking these off. Now I have to be honest I tend to buy pamper pull ups one because the have doras face on and two because of the cost. You will learn more about this later in my review. Huggies pull ups come in 4 forms day time pull ups which also come in a pack for boys or a pack for girls and also night time pull ups which again come in a choice for boys and girls. Now first of all I think that the fact they do separate designs for boys and girls is great it shows that Huggies as a company has really but thought into the age group these will be used for and has taken into consideration that babies/children hit a certain age and all of a sudden they have their own mind. Can't that be a great stage? This review is for the Huggies night time pull up for girls. Pampers pull ups on the shelf: Now when you walk down the nappy aisle no one can say that Huggies pull ups don't jump out off the shelf at you. They come in bright standard nappy packaging, either blue pink or purple. The night time girls pull ups are a lovely shade of purple which then ties in with the fact that they are princess themed. On the front of the pack you have the Huggies pull up logo along with a little girl wearing the pull ups sat on a potty. This straight away shows you the design of the pull ups but I do have to say this picture does not do them justice. There is also a princess design along with different symbols. One shows the pull up size which you have a choice of 4,5 or 6 they do not do the plus sizes that you get from pampers (plus sizes are the sizes inbetween 2 whole sizes for example size 5+) there is also a symbols showing how many pull ups you get which can vary from 14 to 11 depending on size now this is not many pull ups. It also shows that they have extra absorbency and the fact that they are pull ups. There is also a picture showing you that there is a picture on the front of the pull up that will disappear when it needs to be changed Huggies statement: Huggies do not have a lot to say about this product apart from they are 'night time pull ups' and 'helps make potty training fun and easy' there's no indication of how long these are meant to last or even how they work which I personally think is lazy and not at all helpful. Yes you know you as buying pull ups but you have no idea what to expect. What little information has been given about this product is done so in pictures so as you can imagine there's only so much a picture can tell you. With all this in mind it seems as if this product has almost been aimed at the child. But I have to say I have never sen try child off down the nappies aisle on her own to pick up the supplies she may need. Yes it does make it look fun to a child but as a parent when buying products such as nappies and pull ups I need a bit more than fun. The pull up it's self: When removing these pull ups from the pack the first thing you notice is pink! Yes the whole pull up is a lovely shade of candy pink. There is a Disney princess on the front with a purple heart design inside a white heart ( this is the picture indicator) on the back is a picture to match the princess on the from. Each pull has 1 of 2 designs there is sleeping beauty which has a owl on the back with moons and stars and a heart indicator or there is Cinderella which has a shoe indicator with stars and butterflies on the back. As I said earlier on in the review the picture on the front does not do these pull ups justice they almost look too pretty to effectively be used as a nappy. My little one has learnt to tell me when the picture disappears and runs to the cupboard to choose which design she wants to use next. This defiantly adds a little stress free factors to nappy changes. When it comes to the fit I have a little bit of a problem with these as in other brands my little girl is a 5+ which is not an option with these. A 5 is a little snug a take a bit more of a pull to get them on but a 6 leaves gaps which in turn leaks. If you are using these for the first time and your little one is a plus size I would say go for the size down instead of the size up. Being snug does not cause my little one any restriction or discomfort at all and I have not had a single leaking accident. there are tabs at each side of the pull up to make taking it off easy but unlike other brands these have been designed to be resealed which I have not seen on any other pull up they almost have a Velcro design to them. This is a great idea because if your child does learn how to take them off they don't need to go straight in the bin. I also find this handy when taking a dry one off. Y little girl when putting her in the bath as it can be reused after. I tend to buy both types of these pull ups obviously for day and night use as a presume the night time ones have better holding ability. I have to presume this as its not states anywhere but there must be a reason why they have the 2 different types. A pull up I put on my little girl before I go to bed at about 11 will not have leaked at 7 the next morning no matter how much she drinks and even with the picture has disappeared. This is impressive and I like that I don't have to worry about accidents when I go to sleep at night and my little girl can wake up dry and happy in the morning. When taking the pull up off no matter how full the lining is never wet to touch so I am co didn't that they are not causing my little girl any discomfort in the night. I have also had no problems with these causing any sores. Now comes price and availability this is where it really gets bad: These can be bought in all supermarkets and online so they are easy to come across. But this is where t all goes wrong the price. The price of ONE pack of Huggies pull ups at normal price is about £5.48 yea £5.48 for 12 pull ups that's just under 46p a pack. To be completely honest this is sickening and I don't know anyone that could happily go into a store a buy these week in week out at this price a night time pack lasts about 6 days and I need just over 2 packs of day time pull ups to sat those 6 days so at full price that's £21.92 personally yes there are lovely but at they price they are not at all justify able. Especially when you can buy 2 boxes of pampers pull ups for £20 and them last 2 weeks. But it does get a little bit better. Obviously I do at time purchase these but defiantly not at this price. In tesco I find every couple of months they are half price at about £2.54 and when they are this price I do stock up and have cupboards full. Would in recommend these? They are a great design pull up and defiantly appeal to the child that will be wearing them. At half price they are a great buy but at half price you can't forget that they are just a glorified nappy and an overpriced one at that. So at full price no do. Of go out and buy these. Because of their not on offer price and the lack of information on the pack about this product I have to give Huggies pull up 3 starts
I suffer from eczema and with this comes really bad dry and sensitive skin so finding a moisturiser that helps with my dry skin without irritating my eczema is a real task. Over the years I have tried and tested more moisturisers than I'd like to remember and was finally recommended this from a friend. A few weeks later when out shopping in town I noticed this on offer in my local wilkinsons for around £2.50 and decided to give it a go. I actually have the 400ml bottle of palmers cocoa butter so the bottle design is slightly different from the picture. I will be talking about the bottle I have. The bottle is the same shape as the one in the picture being wide at the bottom curving into a thinner top. My bottle does not have a flip lid it actually has a push down dispenser which I think is a fantastic idea. The first bottle I even bought had a flip top and I found it was really difficult to get the moisturiser out as it was so think and a lot of time was spent vigurasly squeezing and bashing the bottle. Since using the pump top I have had no problems. On the first use it did take a good 10 pumps or so to get anything out and for a second I was a little worried that I was never going to see any of the moisturiser. The bottle is all white with a light blue label which has the product name and description which includes 'softens, smoothest and relieves dry skin' and ' smooths marks and tones skin' on the back of the bottle palmers claims that their cocoa butter formula 'is enriched with vitamin E, is an advanced moisturiser that softens, smooths and relieves dry skin. Also helps smooth and blend unattractive marks and scars. An excellent after tanning butter. Widely recommended for stretch marks during and after pregnancy' this also appealed to me as I do have a 2 year old little girl and did gain some stretch marks. When I first used palmers cocoa butter I got a but carried away and was left saturated in moisturiser than took what felt like hours to dry. I have since learnt that although this is very thick is distributes across your skin with not problem to a little does go a very long way. The smell is divine and cocoa butter is one of my favourite smells for all health and beauty products so this was a hit with me. It's not too sickly or over powering but people did point out how lush I smelt hours after applying which can't be a bad thing. After applying sparingly the moisturiser did dry with in a minuet and I was left with a glow to my skin which I loved. There was no sticky feeling stall I instantly felt smooth and moisturised. Where I do suffer with such bad skin I find contact to my skin from people and cloths can be really uncomfortable and it's also something I'm a bit body conscious about but I have to say that since using palmers cocoa butter formula I'm more than happy to show abit of skin. Thee was no applying it a couple of times to see a difference I had it straight away. As I said my skin glowed, I smelt divine and my skin felt amazing. I also found this lasted a good 48 hours and I only had to app,y after baths and showers and the effects lasted. I absolutely swear by this to anyone that experiences any skin problems similar to mine. It has never irritated my eczema infant it's softened some of the areas which is a added bonus. As for the stretch marks they are fading very slowly. So all in all I could not have been happier. Palmers cocoa butter can be bought from anywhere that sells health and beauty products and prices vary form around £2.50 to about £4 depending on bottle size, where you buy it and if it's on offer. But personally even at £4 that's not expensive especially for a product that works.
Im never overly impressed with deodorants and find that I tend to just buy what is on offer at the time because as of yet I have not found one that works well enough that I go back to the shop looking for it. In fact I sometimes wonder why I bother using deodorant atall. The 3 main problems I find with deodorants is that 1) they at leave white marks on my dark cloths 2) they irritate my under arms 3) after running around after my 2 year old or at work I notice I need a top up which is not always possible at the time. but has sanex dermo sensitive managed to break this trend? Read on to find out :) I would not necessarily say that this bottle of deodorant is atall eye catching on the shelf up against other deodorants. Sanex dermo sensitive comes in a bottle size of 150ml which is a fair size for a deodorant. Other brands of deodorant do have bigger sizes avaiable but I would not say you would need a bigger size. And sanex only being available in this size does not effect your decision when buying it. This bottle design is very simple it's not a straight bottle design it has a dip that goes the whole way around the bottle about 3 fingers from the top (my fingers obviously this will vary for everybody) I'm not sure what the purpose of this dip is but I have found that when using this deodrant my thumb and finger next to my baby finger fit nicely around this dip with the finger next to my thumb comfortably resting on the spray part of the bottle so maybe this is the purpose of the dip. On the front of the can there is the blue sanex logo taking up the 3 finger space above the dip. This does Stand out on the bottle as the colour of the bottle it's self is white. Under the dip there is the word dermo in the same blue as the sanex logo. Under this in slightly bigger text is the word sensitive in peach. It also claims on the bottle that sanex dermo sensitive offers 24 hour protection. It also claims it keeps skin healthy. there is also a picture of 2 bubbles which I think is to symbolise the fact that it is sensitive. On the back of the can You have the sanex claims for this product which are; Protection: effective protection or 24 hours Moisturisation: for softer and moot her skin Balance: allows your kin to breathe There is also the directions of use which are the same as every deodorant. The spray part of this can is peach and a chunky design with a nice dip in for your finger to rest on when using this. I found this is so easy to use you don't need to apply as much pressure as you need to with other products as it has been designed to be used easily. It has been disigned so that you do not need to push it down far for the deodorant to come out which is great as I have found with previouse deodorants that I have had to use more than one finger to apply enough pressure to get anything out. So far so good. The smell of this deodorant is very neutral and fresh there is nothing that stands out about the smell of this but you kind of expect this from a sensitive product I have found in the past that anything with to much fragrance is not very sensitive on your skin. The spray comes out with a dispersed effect and I have found that holding the can in one position covers all of my under arm so there's no need to move the can around to ensure coverage this also prevents wastage of the deodorant. This deodorant dries very quickly and instantly feels smooth I have been using this everyday for 2 weeks and have not experienced any irritation at all. So this deodorant has already ticked one box. So now for the cloth test. So I grabbed out my tight black tshirt which was sure to rub against my under arm and I was thrilled that there was not a single which mark left on my top. So thats the second box ticked. Now for its staying power. Which is the important one I have been making my way through the deodorant aisle trying to find a deodorant that actually kept me feeling and smelling fresh for the whole day. This deodorant had already ticked 2 boxes was it about to make it 3. So I started the day with my spray of deodorant managed to put on my cloths without any white marks now to complete the house work and chase around after the 2 year old. When we hit about 1pm after applying my deodorant at about 7am I gave a little sniff to see if I needed to reapply and I must say I was extremely pleased that I still smelt and felt as fresh as I did when applying it. So then 5pm came and it was time to get ready for work the freshness smell had started to wear of but I was not in any way 'smelly' but I did decide to reapply the deodorant before I headed off to work where I spend 6 hours running up and down a supermarket. So along came midnight and it was time to go home and yes I sill smelt fresh. This deodorant has been impressing me everyday since. I can actually not find a fault with it at all. I bought this deodorant in m locall tesco simply because it was half price for £1 so usually in tesco it is £1.99. I have since been back and stocked up while ts on offer but I would not hesitate paying full price forth is when I do run out. The price may very in different shops and can be bought in all supermarkets, shops selling deodorants and online. This is a widely available product. All in all this is my deodorant I have spent years searching for it and just wish I had tried it before I have absolutely no fault in this so have to give it 5 stars. I would recomend this to everyone!
I have recently started toilet training my 2 year old little girl and had decided that I was taking nappies away completely during the day and wouldn't be using them when we went out either as I did not want to confuse her. At the same time we had places to go and I didn't really want her peeing all over other peoples houses or all over her brand new car seat which cost me a fortune! So I went searching down the nappies aisle looking for a solution for this. To be honest I was looking for the disposable bed sheets and was planning on placing them everywhere she sat. Not very dignified I know but I'm sure family and friends wouldn't appreciate puddles left on their carpets and sofas. While in the nappy aisle in my local tesco I came across the dry like me pads. I had not noticed these before so gave them a look over. I only noticed them because of their bright coloured green box they just jump out at you from the shelf. They do say they are new so this is properly why I have not noticed these before.ninpaid about £4 for these in my local tesco store, I'm not sure how new these are or how widely available they are. In this ox you get 18 pads. The box say that they are ideal douse at; school or nursery, in the car, on a plane and on shopping trips so this seemed ideal for what I needed them for. It states they catch small accidents I'm not sure what is classes at small accidents but I was soon to find out. When taking the pads out the only was of describing these is sanitary towels for children. I know it sounds awful but that exactly how they look. They fit inside you child's underwear in the same way. I did notice they were pretty big and when putting them inside my 2 year olds underwear they were too big but I just went along with it. When watching my little girl when she was wearing them I did notice she was walking funny so I an only guess they were rubbing where they were too big. When it came to them doing their job I didn't expect amazing things because this pad didn't look although it would hold much liquid and I was proved right. I had lined her at seat with a towel as well as I was not taking any chances. When I took her out of the car my little girls whole bottom half was soaked and so was the towel. But I continued to use them and this was the case with every accident. I can only presume my little girl was not having little accidents. I would not recommend these pads to anyone unless you are certain you child only has small accidents because everything still ends up wet. The price wasn't bad for giving these a go.nbecause they really didn't do the job for me I can only give this product 1 start. And that's for the price and box design as for them doing their job they get no stars from me. These pads come in a one size fits all. Well not it certainly doesn't they were too big for my little girl making them uncomfortable. My little girl seems to store all he liquids for one toilet session so this could be why they did not work but as the pad isn't exactly big I antimagine it does old much liquid. So I would defiantly say save you money with this item.
My 2 year old little girl recieved the peppa pig aqua doodle for Christmas off her nan and grandad. I was pleased about this as it was something I had asked for. This was because my little girl is getting to the wanting to do arts and crafts age and as im sure most parents are aware there are things that need to be done and we can't be watching the little people alday long ensuring that they are not redecorating our houses so this seemed like the perfect solution. I had seen this advertised on television all the time leading up to Christmas and I must say that this was what i bassed my decision on wanting this on. The fact that this was a peppa pig addition and my little girl is obsessed with peppa pig made it even more appealing. As I said I did not buy this but I think my parent got it from toys r us for around £15. Which I don't honk is a bad price atall. My little girl just had to try this out on Christmas day and as I had a million toys to find a home for this seemed perfect to keep her accupied. This set consists of 3 'pens' one is daddy pig one is mummy pig and you have a much thicker 1 which is peppa and george joined together. They all site nicely in there own special holes in their car holder. In each hole you have to put a very small amount of water. The aqua doodle matt works by turning blue where the water hits it. It's hat simple and when it dries the pictures disappear. The problem I did find was that my little girl thought of all the characters in the car as more of a toy than 'pens' and this resulted in splashes of water going everywhere. The only adult I think there is in the design is this has now been played with for a week and I am noticing that the play matt is becoming a vivid shade of blue and not the crisp white colour it came as and every time it is used the pictures are a little harder to see and the matt stays a bit more blue. So with this being regularly used I'm not sure how long it will last. This is providing my daughter with hours of mess free creativity so I would recommend this o other parents but obviously the fact that the matt is changing colour is soon going to be a big problem so for that I have to only give thins 3 out of 5 stars
My little girl received one of these for Christmas and I did think this was a nice idea as she loves peppa pig and has far too many toys. Perfect you say? The toy box came flat packed and took 2 seconds to pop open it's also take the same time to fold it away. At first I thought this was great as it was small didn't take up too much room and also had the bonus of being folded away when it's not needed. My little girl loves everything peppa and George so she instantly loved it. The designs lovely and it does look nice in a toy corner or bedroom.ni had previously been looking at toy boxes but never considered this style I was more interested in the classic toy box style. When it came to putting toys in this it was hard to decide what toys could practically go in here as there was no way of organising anything it kind of all had to be dumped in there. There was also the added problem of its size. My little girl is only 2 so she doesn't really have any small toys. Eventually i decided to use it to store her cuddly toys in it but then I discovered the next problem which was that it wasn't easy to get the toys back out and I found that my little girl was having to drag everything out in order to find the teddy she wanted. This process went on for a couple of days and each time I noticed that my little girl was getting stressed trying to find the toys she wanted. Due to its size and design I don't think it is a practical toy box and I have actually started using it as a wash basket for my little girls dirty cloths and have found it suits this purpose just fine. I did not buy this myself so I dont know how much it costs or where it came from ( it would be rude to ask) but eBay are displaying it for £9.99 with delivery.
For Christmas I received a Charlie gift set which had 4 miniature sprays in it one of them being Charlie enchant. I'm a regular user of body spray as its handy to keep in my hand bag or work locker and is good for a quick refresh. this was my first time using this spray as I tend to just grab what's on offer at the time. The bottle is of the smaller size of 50ml as opposed to the 75ml bottles that you can buy in any supermarket, shop selling health and beauty products and online for around £2 but prices may vary depending on where you shop and the offers on at the time. The design of this spray is a simply pail mint colour and has white wrighting and green and pink Jewls over it. At a glance this does look like it is aimed more at the 13-18 age range but it's the smell the counts. Charlie statement for the enchant body spray is 'prepare to be mesmerised by Charlie enchant. A captivating blend of wild apple, honeysuckle and coconut' this is displayed on the back of the can. The smell that shines through for me is the coconut but it's not over powering atall. I would say this fragrance lasts around 3 hours before needing to be topped up but maybe less if doing some kind of activity. This is a light fruity smell but does not seem to stick around for long.
I have a 2 year old little girl so over the last 2 years I have tried all of the branded products for babies and buggies natural care wipes are no exception. On the front of the wipes Huggins claims that their wipes contain aloe and vitamin e and that they also prevent the causes of nappy rash. I have plenty to say on this product unfortunately there's more bad than good to say for me. The pack: This pack is a standard pastic rectangle that all wipes come in with the see through top flap the you can access the wipes through. I did notice that this flap was very sticky so I was able to reseal the wipes everytime I used them. This pack contains 64 wipes which is one of the more stocked up oaks available at the moment as like everything the amount is slowly going down. The pack itself is a different shades of lime green which instantly stood out on the shelf to me and made me take a close look. I also likes the fact that straight away you notice that it's natural care and helps prevent nappy rash. The wipe packet has pictures showing what you can use these for which includes a cute looking bum face and hands. The wipes: When opening the packet I'm pretty sure I could smell cucumber which I must say has to be my favourite wet wipe fragrance my far and I have to admite I do sometimes open the pack just for a little wiff. The texture of Huggins natural care is soft but I have to say it reminds me of a wet paper towel. The use of the wipe: Now this is where it gets really disappointing for me in my opinion they just don't work. Now this could just be me because they do seem to be very popular but this is not something I was from a wipe. The paper towel texture of this wipe sticks to my little ones skin and makes it impossible to clean a smelly bum. They also rip! Hence the one wipe wipe. This for me is a deal clencher a wipe ripping does not help when your pinning down a child with one hand and trying to release wipes and clean at the same time. And that another this trying to separate these wipes is not easy! They all seem to be very pressed together and I have noticed the wipes have not been cut apart properly and in some cases 5 follow each ther out. I have found that these are great for cleaning my laminate floor as they do t grip. But as for any part of my child no they dont work. Price and availability: These can be bought from online, any supermarket, shops such as boots, superdrug, wilkinsons and any where else stocking baby products. Te price can vary from £1.22 to £2.50 depending on offers The verdict: they smell amazing and clean my floor great but they are a baby wipe and I can't actually clean my baby with them so I'm going to give these a 2 out of 5 and I think I'm being generouse. As for the no nappy rash claim I can not answer as I have not been able to use them regularly enough to know this.
I was given a 400ml bottle of herbal essences seductively straight shampoo as well as conditioner for Christmas as part of a pamper gift basket. Although I have tried many of the herbal essences range i was yet to try this one. The claim herbal essences makes: On the back of the bottle the tea at herbal essence has a lot to say about this product. 'why we love it: shampoo with botanical silk extract, cleans to help reveal natural shine. The straight and narrow: no deviant hair behaviour tolerated here. Let this lush formula smooth your strands into a pin straight line. Herbal lore. The royal treatment: supposedly discovered by the wife of n emperor, silk fabrics were reserved for Chinese royalty.' So the creators of this product claim that your hair will be 'seductively straight' and revealing a 'natural shine' we will come back to whether this is achieved later. The bottle: The bottle shape is a funky curved bottle which has now become the bottle shape for all of the herbal essence range.in terms of being able to keep a grip on this bottle even in the bath nd shower I do think the unique shape does help in comparison to other branded bottles. The seductively straight bottle are a funky pink colour with a green lid. Through the bottle itself you can see the level of shampoo that is left which is always a idea that I like as there is nothing worse than soaking your hair and going to grab your shampoo and conditioner and them being empty. The front of the bottle has the herbal essence label and a lovely pink flower and also the type of shampoo so in this case seductively straight. Is also give a very brief description on the purpose of this shampoo. This bottle states that is for dry damaged hair and also that it contains pink lily and Asian silk extracts. On the back of the bottle it has all of the herbal essence statements and ingredients. The smell: On opening this bottle and have a quick snif you can quickly notice the smell of flowers which I can only guess is the pink Lily's. The smell is not too over powering but once you have washed your hair with it you can notice the smell when swooshing you hair for a good 24 hours. I have never been disappointed with any of the smells from any of the herbal essence ranges and this one was no exception. The shampoo: the shampoo comes out a white creamy colour not the pink colour that the bottle makes it look. I have very short hair so used a small amount smaller that a 50 pence piece size. I lathered this up in my hair for a good too minuets working right through to the scalp then rinse till its all out. I did not need to repeat this s I just followed with the same amount of conditioner. Even when we I could smell the pink Lily's. Was my hair seductively straight? My hair tends to go very Afro when blow dried so I try not to style using a hair dryer so I rough dried my hair using my finger tips. Once I had done this i did still need to use my straighteners and would say my hair wasn't any straighter than when I use any other shampoo or conditioner. S to as that this is specifically to make your hair seductively straight this was not the case with me. Did my hair have a natural shine? I did notice that my hair had that gleam to it in sun light or under house hold lights. This is the gleam I do from experience with herbal essence expect to get and In this case I was not disappointed. Price and availability: This can be bought from any supermaket, chemist, all shops that sell shampoos and conditioners as well as online. Depending on bottle sizes, where you are shopping and offers at the time you can buy this from between £2 something and £4 something. The verdict: Although I would say no this shampoo did not make my hair any straighter than any other shampoo it did leave my hair with a lovely gleam as well as a gorgeous smell. I will be buying this product again. I will be giving this 3 stars as I do feel that if the product does not do what it specifically states it does this is a problem.
Lush snow fairy shower gel is top of my Christmas wish list every year. It's the one present I am not willing to go with out at Christmas. Snow fairy range: The snow fairy range comes In many different forms which include a lip gloss which I am yet to try, A snow airy gift set which comes beautifully gift wrapped and include a 100g bottle of snow fairy shower gel, a snow fairy soap and snow fairy bath bomb I have received many of these, and also the shower gel on its own in 3 sizes which include 100g, 250g And a 500g you can also get snow fairy in a wind which is a bath bomb in a beautiful wand shape perfect for little girls and big ones too. The bottle: The bottle design is so simple with just a black lid and label which stands out amazing against the pretty brig pink GLITTERY shower gel inside! All the details you need are on the label of the bottle. The shower gel: Well as I said its PINK and GLITTERY what more could a girl want. I use it as a bubble bath as well as to wash with and the smell is to dye for. It's so fruity but on the first use when I was pregnant so my senses were all over the pace I noticed the it reminded me of something and for months I couldn't pin point exactly what that sweet smell did remind me of. Then one day in the later stages f my pregnancy I was raiding a sweet shop opening one of my goodies and there it was the smell I'd been sourcing for for month wham bars! Now it may just be my but this shower gel smells exactly like wham bars. And I like wham bars :-) The shower gel it's self leathers really well so you do not need to use a lot. It does come out pink and glittery and does leave a subtle glittery gleam on your skin but this just leaves you looking, feeling and smelling gorgeous. Price and where to buy This Product is only sold at heist as time so if you do try it and fall in love I would defiantly recommend that you stock up. Depending on what product and size from the rang you and buy the prices rang from around £3 to around £20 so there is something for each price range. I have oly bought this directly from lush stores but it can also be out online. I would recommend every girl try this range but although I absolutely love it I am aware that the sweet smell could be sickly for others so I would say gringo store and try it out first.
I bought this innotab in pink so the only difference between mine and the one pictured is that the lue bits are pink. I bought this back in September for my little girls second birthday. Although the recommended age for the innotab is aged between 4 and 9 I decided to buy this as my little girl had taken a liking to my iPad and was nfact much better on it that I was and i wasnt really getting a look in on it. So buying the innotab was my attempt at getting some time on mybipad without being wrestled by a 2 year old to get it off me. Price and where to buy the innotab: I paid £49.99 for the pink in tab and I bought it from Argos. It is also widely available in both colours at all toy stores and supermarkets selling toys as well as online. They also now have an innotab 2 which I think costs around £75. The innotab 2 does have the added feature of a amera but as I was buying this for my 2 year ols and hadnt really done much research it was more of an impulse buy as opposed to something I knew my little girl would like I decided to stick to the more basic and cheaper version. Features: The innotab does not come with batteries which I discovered when buying it so I purchased some rechargeable AA batteries to go with it reay for my little girls birthday. When setting up the innotab you need to register it online to unlock its features as well as downloads the games for it so I would recommend doing this before giving it to your child as I have to fight mine away from my little girl to do this. Each innotab comes with a certain amount of games that you an choose your self and download. Mine came with 3 downloads and I think the innotab 2 comes with 2 free downloads. But u can also purchase additional games for a small price which goes up to about £4 so this is a right bargain. Each game has been designed to stimulate and teach your child in some way. With games ranging from developing counting skills, problem solving, basic math challenges and basic spelling challenges. So your child will not just be glued to aimless games like a lot of consols out there. My little girls favourite game is a penguin one where the aim often game is the help guid the penguin along the ice to find its fish and the finally it's home. Before finding each fish there are ice blocks to move and snow balls to smash to get through to the fish and the in the second level they also have holes to fill with ice blocks. There are also other built in features such as a calendar, clock and a calendar. But my little girl is too young to use hese features. Design: The Innotab has a chunky colourful design that also has grip like features helping children keep a hold on the innotab. Because this has been designed for children it is very rebusk and mine has been thrown across the room in a temper and does not seem to of occurred a scratch. The innotab is a touc screen but it also has chunky buttons down the side for the power, volume, home screen, brightness and a help button. The innotab comes with a stylis pen.the innotab has a discreet slot a the back of it for the stylus pen to be stored in. Extras: With the innotab comes a massive a,punt of extras the can be bout seperatly. These extras include; A power ale the can be bought from toys r us foR around £14.99. The power cable allowes you to connect you innotab to the mains in your house so you do not have to worry about battery life. A protective back pak style carrying case. This comes in pink or blue. I have this in pink and bought t from toys r us for about £12.99. It can also be bought anywhere that you can buy the innotab.bthe back pack also fits the innotab 2 in it. The case is padded for protection and had backpack handles for you to carry it on your back. Inside the case you have space for your innotab, games and power cable so you can keep everything together. You an also buy a wide range of games. There is a big selection of games featuring your child's favourite television characters such as, sponge bob, Disney princesses and Dora. Each game has been designed to help teach your child in some way just as the download games on the Innotab have been. These games can be bought from most places that the innotab can be bought from and average at a price between £10 and £20 depending on the age of game and offers on at the time. Disadvantages: The only disadvantage I have found with the innotab is that it only comes with one stylis pen which is pretty small so could be easily lost by a child. Have found that these stylus pens are nt so easy to come across so if I do find myself needing to replace it I will have difficulty doing so. I also think that the fact you have to bu so much separately to the innotab this could very quickly become and expensive purchase. I would recommend this to all parents although I'm not sure how interested a child would be in this product towards the age range of 9. Taking everything into consideration i am giving the innotab a 4 star rating
I have a 2 year old little girl and have Been using pamers pull ups for the last 6 months.nthis is due to my 2 year old now whipping of normal nappies but at the same time not being willing to use a potty. I have been using pampers throughout the stages of my little girls progression so at some point have tried and tested their full rang so their easy up pant was the next step for me. Packaging: The packaging itself is no different to any other nappy packaging and like all other brands they have been designed to be able to carry a protesting child under 1 arm and the box or pack of nappies in the other, whether this be the side handles in the box or the plastic carry handle on the top of the pack. The design itself of the packaging now clearly shows that your child will have DORA THE EXPLORA on their pull up which has been a massive selling point with my 2 year old. Pampers have used a bold red colour scheme for this particular product and I have noticed that it does stand out on the shop shelves compared to the paler products available. The nappy itself: Well I must start by saying that yes Dora face is on every single pull up which my 2 year old has to check every time it come to changing her and god help me if I haven't got the Dora ones so with me their is no option of just buying what's on offer because my little girl will not wear them. The fit of these pull ups is perfect my little girl is tall with no meat on the and the elasticated leg holes fit perfectly snug avoiding any leakes. On the back of the pull up you also have a sticky tab which allows you to roll the nappy up and stick it in place once use so if you do have a child that escapes you don't have a open dirty nappy lying around the floor. On each side of the easy up pants you have easy to release tabs which allow the pants to be taken off like a nappy which is handy when changing a smelly child. I have found that these easy up last forever!! I have never had a single accident with these and can confidently put my little one to bed at night knowing that she will wake up dry in the morning even if she has a drink in the night. Since using these my little one has also never experienced nappy rash and everytime I have take one of these pull ups off the surface is always completely dry no matter have heavy the pull up is. So I feel. Confident that she is not at any discomfort. Price and availability of pampers easy up pants: This product come in 3 sizes these include the box displayed, and economy pack and a small handy pack. So depending on which size you are buying depends on the price. But from my local tescos you can get a small handy pack for around £5 an economy pack for around £10 and a box for around £13 but there is also always offers on. These can be bought in any supermarket or stores such as, boots, super drug and wilkinsons also well as online. I have never experienced a problem with these easy up pants so I am giving them a 5 star rating
I have a 2 year old little girl and when I was carrying her being airst time mum I decided that I would only be using branded nappies and wipes on my little girl as I was not very familiar with unbranded products. Before my Little one was born I had piles of pampers sensitive wipes ready and waiting to use. I was drawn to this product as opposed to others as they were one of the few products I came across that had a sensitive range. Price and where to buy pamper sensitive wipes: You can purchase pampers sensitive wipes from and suppermarket, chemist, or high street store selling baby products as well as online. I have found the price of these wipes can very from around £1.24 to £2.79 depending on whether they are on offer or full priced. They can also be bought as a multi pack which are around the £4 mark for 3 packs. So it does pay tobshopbaround as different places have different offers at different times especially when they have a baby event on. I tend to take advantage of these savings and stock up as I have found you can never have enough wipes. Pampers sensitive wipes packaging: I was drawn to this packaging but not because it was bright and bold and jumping off the shelf but because it has been kept simple displaying all of the important information such as the fact that it is sensitive and recommended for newborns aswellnas the fact that pampers as a company takes money from the sale of their products to provided life saving vaccinations for newborns in third world countries. As a first time parent I found myself in aisles adding every detail on the backs of all the products I would be needed for my baby before buying anything so this really helped me. I also found that the resealableb flap worked just as well the last time I closed it as it did the first times which kept my wipes fresh and usable until the last one was gone. Using the wipe itself: Pampers sensitive wipes I found were very strong but also had a soft cotton like feel to them which made me confident and confortable when using them on my little one. I also found that they had just the right level of moist in them and they were not too dry and not cleaning my baby but they also were not too wet and soaking her. I found they did there job as they were meant to. I found that these wipes in comparison to pampers top competitor were of a much better quality. I have never in the 2 years of using these wipes had a wipe rip on me no matter how challenging the nappy I am changing. I have also found that when using these wipes my little girl has never experienced nappy rash or any sores of any type. These wipes are durable as well and baby friendly no matter the situation. I have fund that these are not '1 wipe wipes' which has meant each pack of pampers sensitive wipes I have bought have lasted longer that other brands. Would I recommend pampers sensitive wipes: I would defiantly recommend pampers sensitive wipes to first time parents that are trying to decide which product to use on their new born. I would also recomendthis to anyone who has a child that has suffered from nappy rash or who isn't happy with their current product.
