A must for every DS owner

Funny, I owned a SNES but I never had a Super Mario game, I always wanted it but it was harder to get in ma corner of the world - since as soon as it came in the store it was snatched by somebody else. Hard times back then hehe. When one of my friends finally got their hands on the game and I borrowed it it was a love at first sight and as soon as I purchased Nintendo DS I knew getting Mario games is a must. Now there are quite a few to choose from but I wanted to start with a platformer game and this one ranked the best. The price for this game in the shops is average - you can get a new one starting from £11.20 on Amazon (plus shipping) but I opted for used on from Ebay and snatched it for £8 (I advise caution though since there are lots of fakes sold on Ebay, my copy of this game seems to be legit - reading many "How to spot a fake DS game" was sure helpful) . The game is awesome! That is a fact. And I could well finish the review right here and by this I would not "damage" the potential costumer since when he or she would have bought the game the conclusion would and will be the same. Graphics are just amazing, I think that developers really did take the the most out what Nintendo DS can offer and on the other hand still kept the "original" feel of the Super Mario Bros game-style. How to describe the graphics - they walk a thin line between 2D and 3D. Game is quite simple to play, it can be played worldwide no matter in which language the game comes since there is no written storyline or goals that need to be achieved by understanding the mission. There are 8 worlds (you need to go through 6 to get to the finish, two of the worlds need "special" conditions to be unlocked) and each of this worlds has a set of themed levels in which you need to get from the start to finish, jumping, running, bouncing and if lucky shooting. That is basically it. At the middle of each world there is a mid boss and at the end a boss. Levels are quite easy to finish, some of them can give you a bit of a headache (depending of your skill) but although easy they are immensely fun. It is a kind of game that entertains and relaxes more than agitates which I just love. I finished the game in less than a week, only a few hours of game-play but the game is really re playable - I love the levels and whenever I am bored and need something easy and passive (but fun) to entertain my mind I reach for this game and play the levels again. True that in every level you can find 3 special star coins (which can be cleverly hidden) and I have not jet managed to find them all so this adds to game-play too. There is more than just the regular Mario play (you can play as Luigi too by the way) there are also lots of mini games which you can play either yourself or with your friends. Now as the regular game does not take the full advantage of touch screen mini games certainly do. You can choose from many different kinds of games, card games, memory, puzzle, action games - each of them fun and a great way to scare the boredom away. There is also a Mario Vs. Luigi multi player game that needs two DSs to play, I was not fortunate enough yet to try this out (it needs only one game) but since my partner is more and more interested in my Nintendo DS I feel the time will come soon (and so will the update of the review). I am not yet a DS expert, I have only played a few games but this one certainly leaved a very good impression in me, not only because of the nostalgic feel of it but also because it really is a great game. I think this is one of those games that is a must for every DS owner.

      A handy dynamo torch

About two years ago (or was it 3?) my partner and I and a few friends decided to go camping on the seaside... I was already fully packed when my father came to me and as he knows how surprised me with a last minute gadget from the pocket (well not exactly from the pocket since this thingy is quite big) - it was a dynamo torch. I already had a regular torch packed but I know I would break his hart if I would not want to pack this one too. Now the torch is a bit big, I am used to having "camping stuff" as small as possible but OK, at least it is easy to find in the dark - when you naturally need it the most. It is quite light though and it is shaped well, you easily have a firm and secure grip on. The handle can be folded so that it becomes a "part" of the torch, not disturbing your grip when you use the torch. Winding the torch does not need a lot of strength, it goes smoothly. When the tents were set and night began to fall this torch had its introduction. I showed it to my friends and they were really interested in it - especially the male part of the team which led to them winding the dynamo almost all the time - to which I normally had no complaints. Now although it was amusing to watch "the boys" how they play with "the toy" it was soon I noticed that even though they were winding it like crazy the light was not exactly strong and the light angle is a bit small but it is enough to clearly see what you want to see, it's a healthy not disturbing light - and if you have neighbours camping they won't mind it. You need quite a lot of winding to get a decent amount of light time - at times it seemed that at with a normal amount of winding (not doing it like a crazy person) will produce about three or four times of "battery life". If you go a bit winding crazy you get better results though. Thankfully the boys just kept on winding and charged the thing - when it was charged it truly did last for hours. I do like this torch all in all, mostly because it does not need batteries and by that there is no fear that you will run out of light when you most need it - you will just have to sweat a bit to make it work, if coincidently when you will need it it won't be charged. Certainly a good thing to have at home in case of a power failure or to pack with you if you go camping.

A fairly cheap TV dongle set but with a good performance

As I am often on the go and although I do not watch a lot of television this was something I could not resist in the store. One of the reasons I could not resist it was the price - it was on sale for Euro40 (regular price being around Euro10 more). I often spend money on foolish stuff so buying something that can actually be used for something.... Now I know most people are not interested in review of the box but here it is anyway. I do not like it! It might look good with its transparent part but once you open it and put the stuff out it will become pretty much useless since there will be a big hole in it. I like my boxes to be there if I want to store my devices back in them - this one is not the most practice one - the box also contains a lot of information about the product on it so it could be useful if it were more well useful. Box contains a USB TV dongle, antenna, remote control (with batteries), USB extension cord, a/v adapter cable, software CD and a manual. Putting the device together and connecting it to the TV is easy - peasy (there is also a how to in the manual) ***Manual*** Manual is really short but contains all the information (software and hardware) one needs to operate this. I like how the instructions are written - they are in "step-by-step" form and most of the steps have pictures by them - really easy to follow and understand. This was one of the rare devices I had to open the instructions manual in order too use them - I encountered a "problem" (not exactly a problem but more of a "I do not know what to do next since I am getting a bit out of touch with technology" kind of problem) when configuring the software and I really appreciated the easy and fast instructions in the manual. Verdict: 10/10 ***Software CD*** You get a CD which installs the VivoTV software on your computer - making it possible to watch television on your computer. Installation was pretty much straight forward and I had no problems there. I had some problems with searching the TV channels - I could not find any and I was sure there were some. A peek in the instruction manual (we shall not mention this to my partner to whom I always explain I am a tech person) showed I had to first configure a few settings for my region before I can actually watch the TV - after reading these few things in the manual the software was operational in a matter of seconds. The program is really nice looking and when you get to know it (or read the instructions manual) it is really easy to operate - basically the same way as if you would your TV. You can switch channels, change volume, record, adjust colour settings (all via remote or with a mouse). There is one fault of the program though, I do not find it annoying as much as I find it to be strange and silly - you can start up the VivoTV software from a remote control, the software starts but you can not turn on the television with the remote, you need to use the mouse... Funny... After you turn on the TV in the software you can operate it with the remote normally and you can turn it off with the remote. Verdict 9/10 ***USB TV dongle & extension cord*** It is a bit bulky and if you do not have a lot of space around your computer you will need an USB extension cord - it is quite handy that they decided to include it in the package although it would be better if it were a bit longer (it is around 15-20 cm long). It's bulky nature is a bit "problematic" if you use it on a laptop - it will stick out quite a lot. You plug in the antenna jack directly into this device - there is no need for a TV card or something on your computer. Verdict 8/10 ***Antenna*** It is quite small, easy for travel - which is the intent of this device anyway - it does look a bit fragile but it feels sturdy enough - but I would not experiment how durable it is. It will survive drooping on the floor and won't bend easily. The reception of this antenna is not the best - if you are in an area where a "normal" TV antenna has troubles getting reception this one won't get it - but if the coverage is good the reception will be good too. You can't expect too much from an antenna so small. Still most of the time I travelled with this one I was satisfied with the reception, all bigger cities have a good signal strength and coverage anyway. I use this when I travel only. If I am at home and wish to watch television I plug in a regular big boy room antenna in the TV dongle. Taking in mind that this one's main intent is to be a handy travel antenna I have to say it is great and offers as much as it can. Verdict 9/10 ***Remote control*** I love it. I mean who would not? Not only you can watch the TV on your computer but you can also operate it from you bed (or couch or wherever you watch it from). It has many functions - basically you can use all the functions (except starting the TV) that the VivoTV software offers. It has all the functions your normal TV remote control has - 0-9 buttons, on/off, volume, channel +/-, mute, TTX, colour adjustment, sleep and many more. Not exactly something that you would take with you when you travel but a great addition to this device especially if you use it at home. The remote control is extremely responsive and does not get disturbed by objects blocking it - you won't have to wave it around in the air to change a channel. The fact that batteries (it needs 2AAA batteries) are already included is another plus. Verdict 10/10 ***a/v adapter cable*** Haven't used this one much, you can plug in another a/v device through it. It is a bit short though. Verdict 9/10 ***Final verdict*** I think this one is certainly worth the money, I personally am very satisfied with it - I use it on the go and in my uni apartment (TV died, let it rest in peace) and only have good experience (well with the exception of a few bumps that I mentioned in the review) with it, software never crashed and hardware never overheated or malfunctioned in any manner. I do not regret I bought it. In overall this one would get a 9/10 from me.

A more friendly looking dragon but still a majestic one

Faraun is one of the sweet and friendly looking dragons, certainly the most gentle looking (baby dragons aside) in my collection. This particular dragon has more bird like than lizard like features as far as stature goes in my opinion but claws and head still are more on the lizard side. The skin is lizardy although not as much as with the other Schleichs dragon Antylar. This one looks more feminine which is a good thing considering it is supossed to be a female dragon. These feminine features are especially noticed on the dragon's head since the look in the eyes is made so soft, tender well almost mother like and the facial expression is so tenter also. The cream colour of this dragon also suggests a more friendly and warm hearted dragon. As you probably noticed the dragon's name is Faraun, a bit odd for a female but then again who am I to judge dragon names... Though the name in my opinion (it sounding more male than female) captures some characteristics of this dragon quite good I think - at least for me the association I got when hearing the name Faraun was Pharaoh and when you look at this one you can certainly see some connections, especially with the colouring - the colour palette is from sandy (can't get more Egyptian than that), with gold details, especially the horns on the head which also remind me of Pharaohs. Well at least that's what I see and feel with this dragon and if it was intended that way then I have to say that they succeeded in their intent fully. As one expects from Schleich figures this one is hand painted and to great detail, the blending of colours is perfect, shading amazing. The details on the head are great, I just love the eyes. The figure feels really sturdy, the wings are rubbery and can be bended but I did not get the feel that they would break easily. I love this dragon, it is not the fierce looking one but the figure still captures the majesty of dragons. ***So what did the kids think of it?*** Well I do not have kids however this dragon has been in coincidental contact with the kids next door while I was moving flats (I guess they were around 7,8 years old). The little girl thought that the dragon was really pretty while boys were a bit more restrained about it. I know this is not exactly helpful but I decided to include it in the review anyway since it happened. When it gets a better "contact" with my relatives I will be updating this. Toy is suitable for years 3+.

          A great handheld console

This one is to blame for my recent on-line absence... I love it (repeat this 100 times to get the feel of what I feel about it). As the new 3DS hit the market and as it recently "suffered" in a price drop so did its predecessor Nintendo DS Lite. I was thinking about getting myself a handheld for quite a while but never, until recently have I gone through with it. Now 3DS did seem appealing but I think it still does not offer as much as I would want from a 3D handheld and games that I was mainly interested in do not need 3D to be awesome so I opted for a DS Lite (since DSi costs almost the same as 3DS). I snatched myself an used and refurbished to mint condition DS Lite for Euro60 from Ebay - if I had more patience or would have settled with a different colour I might have gotten it for even less. This was an amount of money that seemed reasonable for me to spend for a handheld. Surprisingly (for me) these ones still sell like honey. Did I mention I love it? Now the screens are quite small, each of them is 3", later DS models feature larger screens - I admit I was a bit afraid these won't do it for me since my phone has a bigger screen but after a few minutes of playing my first DS game (Pokemon Pearl) the size of the screens seems just perfect! The picture is clear, graphics surprisingly good. The lover screen is touch screen and you operate it with a stylus that comes with the console - the screen is really responsive and precise. You play games with a cross pad, a,b,x,y buttons, start, select buttons and L and R buttons combined with stylus. First I thought that taking the stylus in and out will be a bit of a hassle with games that have combined use but I soon realized that it comes very natural - for example with Pokemon Pearl I can fight battles either with keys only or with combination with stylus and I don't even realise when stylus gets in my hands, it just is there and I just touch, touch and touch. Love it! Whenever you play a game and need to finish it up quickly you can just close the console and it goes to sleep mode. I am surprised at the battery life this console has, at full screen brightness the battery lasted for more than 7 hours! Charging time is 3 hours, a bit long but you can play games while charging. This console does not have internet browser sadly but a special cartridge for that can be purchased (soon to be in my possession). It does have a wi-fi connection - although it is said that this is unlikely I had to manually set my connection - instructions on Nintendo official page were really clear though and my wi-fee was working fast enough. It is quite light and sleek, quite handy to carry around to. It feels good in the hands and buttons are really responsive. It has a solid feel to it, I would not exactly be throwing it on the floor but it feels like it would not break. It also has a slot for GBA games which is good, if you have any. I personally love this one and do not regret buying it. If you value gameplay more than flashy graphics I would say that buying this DS model would be for you. It certainly was a good decision for me.

A decent camera for the price

My previous digital camera started to act a bit funky (it has been through a lot so it is only natural) and since I am still not financially strong enough (or determined enough) to part with the amount of money needed to get a pro digital camera that I wish to have one day - this is the one I went for. The decision to purchase this was simple - it was on a special offer. It is rather small and quite light which is perfect for my needs. It is really easy to use, it does not have a lot of functions and the basic ones are easily accessed through buttons the camera has - you have a on/off, take picture and rotating button (you choose what kind of pictures you want to take) on the top, and and 10 buttons on the back side by the LCD screen to help you navigate the camera, zoom in and out, access the menu, see the pictures, flash, set micro and macro and things - what I like with these buttons is that all of them have pictures on them demonstrating their use so as I said getting the hand on this camera is easy. The LCS screen is really big - 2.7 inch big (well compared to my previous one), it is quite bright and has a good visibility in the sunlight. Preview of the picture is good although it can't be compared to the quality of the actual picture taken (the later one being far better). Since the screen is big navigation on the menu is naturally good too. Menu has quite a selection of basic settings that any camera needs, you can set the date, time or turn it off without a hassle (I remember my previous camera was a nightmare if I wanted to turn off the date). You can set the volume, LCD brightness (handy if you wish to save battery), turn on or off start up image (quite useless function in my opinion but OK), you can format the memory card (love this, since I do not need the computer to delete everything), set how often do you want the camera to automatically create a separate folder for your pictures (good if you do field work or something and you need to separate pictures daily), set the time after which the lens retracts, set the language and so on... The camera has a few basic picture taking settings, the automatic, portrait, landscape, kids and pets, video taking and a few more, basically all one amateur photographer can handle and all that a camera of this price range can provide, I personally would wish it had more but then again I know that the performance would probably not be the best. I am a fan of "auto" function since I feel that this function as suggested automatically selects the best setting for a picture you are taking and it does that well, I need to occasionally choose micro or macro but that is basically it. I have not noticed any bigger difference in quality in picture if I take a portrait with the camera set on auto or if I set it on portrait. As far as picture quality goes I thin this one makes good pictures, if you aim for memorable photos and not professionally looking ones. The pictures are clear, sharp and well good looking but normally can't compare with the ones made with a pro camera. But I am well satisfied with them, they are presentable they look good on computer even if you magnify them and they look good if you decide to print them. If you take pictures in dark places the flash will certainly surprise you, it is quite good. It can make 10 mega pixel pictures and has a 4x optical zoom. It has a rechargeable battery which can be a hassle if you do not own a spare ones, I am a bit used to my old camera that had AA batteries and I could easily switch them if they empties but with this one I have to take be cautious not to run around with an empty battery. But the battery life is good - if I am snapping lots of photos it easily lasts 4 day - normally the battery life depends on use and it is hard to say how long it actually holds, but still I am satisfied with it. Pictures are stored on a SD card which is sadly not included with the camera. All in all this is a decent camera, if you need something that takes good pictures and you are not prepared to part with a lot of money this one is a good pick.

            Black tea with vanilla flavour

I am just 3 to 4 minutes away from sharing "real-time" experience with this vanilla flavoured black tea. Love my morning tea! *** While I wait here is some basic information. I got this tea in a box of 25 tea bags. I love how the box looks - all vanilla coloured with a vanilla flower. Each of the tea bags is separately packed in a paper packaging. One tea bag is sufficient for 1 cup of tea normally. You need to have the water heated to 100°C and infusion time is 3 to 4 minutes, which in my case is just about now. My tea is just a bit too hot to drink right now, so lets concentrate on the looks and scents shall we? As it is fitting for the black tea this one has a really dark brown colour. As for the scent goes it smells like your regular black tea with just a gentle note of vanilla to it. I personally would not mind if vanilla scent would be stronger since I love it. A few blows after it is finally time to sip the tea... Now I normally drink it with milk - since it tastes better that way to me - but for this review I decided to give it a few milk-less sips. Tea feels really soft, the aroma is not strong - it has a subtle sweetens to it (I did not add sugar). I can't exactly say that I felt vanilla flavour much. Now to add some milk. I just love this tea with milk, it gets even softer, creamy and I think the taste of this tea gets fully developed as you add it. Vanilla scent mixed with milk scent is in my opinion perfect for the morning, it slowly and gently wakes me up in a way. I think the vanilla flavour is stronger when you add milk. *** I like this tea, I love vanilla and thus I love vanilla black tea. In all honesty I have had better vanilla black teas but this one is one of the best that you can buy in regular markets. I am a tea lover and I do have at-least 15 different boxes of tea at home at all the time but there are only 3 or 4 teas that are stocked regularly in my tea closet and this one is one of them. The only problem I am facing now is that while I am writing this last line I am also sipping the last drops of my tea...

A regular but good smelling shampoo

In the past I have used Herbal Essences shampoo's quite often but lately I have somewhat "forgotten" about it. This one was on had a discount however and since I am fond on citrus aromas I bough it. I really like the shape of the packaging, it looks as it is easier to hold - not that it actually is in my opinion. It's curvy look is great. Shampoo has mandarin and pearl extracts. Mandarin takes care for the pleasant scent this shampoo has, I don't quite understand the role of the "pearl extract" though, I think it is more of a marketing strategy personally. Shampoo feels nice on the head and sadly because I am clumsy I can say that when it gets in your eyes it does not sting too hard. I generally have dry hair, and it looks dry from a far if I do not use good hair products. When I use this shampoo hair looks decent, it is more manageable and has a more silky look to it (not exactly something that would make your yaw drop, but better than nothing). They are soft to the touch. You get a better look if you also use the conditioner, I think that the hair is a bit heavier then (it feels so to me) so it looks even more silky and well smooth looking. After washing the hair tends to smell really nice for quite a while. I am prone to having lots of dandruff it the shampoo is bad, I have not had any bad dandruffy experience with this shampoo. It's not a bad shampoo but certainly not a wonder maker. As all the Herbal Essences shampoos this one has an amazing smell and I really do not know if I have ever found (in the regular stores) a shampoo that would even come close to scents these have, this particular one not being an exception. Showering with them is really pleasant, but the scent they live on the hair on the other hand is not as strong. As for the effect - it somewhat does what it is supposed to - makes your hair smooth and soft but it just ain't that special.

              Great looking dinosaur figurine

As I am a fan (and somewhat a collector) of dragons it is no wonder dinosaurs are a part of my "toy family" too (I really am a big child). I think these big guys were on of the reasons the myth of dragons began. I imagine someone in the time before dragons found dinosaur fossils and from that created dragons... Funny though, my collection of dinosaurs only consists of Allosaurus, T-rex, Raptor and another sharp teeth and claw dinosaur (that I have no clue which species it is)... There is something about carnivores I think, they looked cooler. It is hard to talk about detail and resemblance to the real thing when it comes to this figurine, since the actual look is still a mystery for us, we know how they should look but can't say it for certain, especially when it comes to colour - I personally would like to believe they were pink hehe -now imagine a big nasty pink T-rex! Well back to the point - the body of this one looks really masculine but relaxed. The pose of the figure suggests that the dinosaur is just minding his own business, not being all predatory - the facial expression quite calm. The figure in general is well made with a lot of detail. I really like how the skin is made, very lizard like and I really like how the skin around joints is a little bit wrinkled, I think this really adds on to the "realistic" look. The colouring (hand painted) is pretty awesome too, there is much attention on details such as shading and colour blending. The colouring makes it look even more dimensional. As far as colours chosen for this one go I think the selection is quite interesting - this wasp like combination actually looks quite good and natural. The toy is suitable for children ages 3 plus as stated on Amazon.co.uk, the toy does not come in a box so I can't check it, I checked the manufacturers site and there is no indication of what the age limit is, they only guarantee that product is safe (will not break) and that materials are not harmful since children are top priority. I think though that a 3 year old will be safe with this one, the toy is big (17 cm height) so there is no fear of suffocation and although the claws might look fierce they are not sharp, the end is a bit rounded. The figure won't break if dropped.

              A little Smurf

We are certainly in a Smurf frenzy right now... I have not yet seen the movie but even the fact that there is one brings out a lot of my childhood memories when I was waking up early in the morning just to watch crazy adventures of Smurfs. Seems my mother felt my sentimentality since she surprised me with a small gift - a Smurfette figurine. This figure is quite small around 5 cm, well what more do you need from a Smurf? It is quite cute looking, as a Smurf should, well from a far... However, since I am quite familiar with Schleich products I do have to say that detail here is a bit weak, I mean you can't exactly do allot with a carton/movie character of this proportion but still. It is hand painted but not to such detail as the rest of their products, it looks like it is made in a hurry, facial colouring does not match the facial mould - especially the lips they are off for quite a bit... There is not so much detail on moulding compared to other products either. I also did not like how the CE mark (and other information) is found on the hat, far from discrete and it personally bothers me. It is probably good for children - they probably would not mind these cosmetic mistakes, and to be honest I do like mine - maybe more because of the fact that it was a gift from my mother than anything else though. As for as kids go, I would say it is appropriate for them, it is not dangerous and there are no small parts that they could eat or inhale. For adults as a collector item, I think this is far from one!

                Amazing looking dragon figurine.

This one is certainly (at this time) my favourite dragon in the collection. When I first saw this one in store it was Euro30, which at time (although it looked amazingly amazing) was a bit pricey for me. Next time I was in a store it was on sale for Euro20 - as luck is not my friend, there was only one left and I only had cash (and little of it) with me - naturally there was "no reservations on stuff on sale", I rushed home and back to the store only to see that the last one was sold. I think my eyes watered a bit. But as it turned out my luck had changed, this was just before my birthday and I soon found out who the person that snatched the last one was, it was my partner and the awesome dragon was a gift for me. I think my eyes watered a bit again. This dragon is as I have said too many times now awesome, it is 33,5 cm long, 33 cm width and has 17,5 cm in hight. Quite the dragon! It's official description says that this dragon is the most powerful being in the Bayala (Schleich fantasy world series). When you look at this figure you see that their description stands. The dragon looks powerful, every detail on the figure claiming so. It has a very muscular boy, giant claws on back and front feet, the head serpent looking and full of spiked horns. Even the name Antylar suggests something powerful (well at least it sounds like this too me). It is made of plastic material that feels rubbery to the touch. Antylar is (as are all Schleich figures) hand painted. Amazingly good hand painted may I add. There is so much detail on this one this one that it is unbelievable, it almost looks like every scale on the dragons body got the attention and was painted until the last detail. Colours are amazing and they blend into each other perfectly making the transition between them looking really natural. The shading is perfect. Dragons skin has a real resemblance to the real lizards skin. I especially like the wings, they look great. The eyes are awesome too, they are really lizard/cat like and they stare at you - always. You probably already realized that I love this one! As for it being suitable for children, it is stated on Amazon.co.uk that is is suitable for ages 3+ (I will check this information on the box when I get to my uni apartment next week //UPDATE: the toy is suitable for ages 3 plus//), I do not think a 3 year old would have much fun playing with this one but I imagine it is safe enough - it has no small parts nor does it have sharp edges. I like this more as an display item but it probably works well as a toy too, I know I would have killed for a toy like this when I was a kid. Currently £14.81 on Amazon.co.uk

                  Baby dragon figurine

This was the first dragon figure I ever got (exception might some toys that I had as a child). It was the one that kind off made me hooked on dragons. Now it seems only natural that my dragon collection would start with a baby dragon. This is a figure made by Schleich and is from their Bayala series (wonderful fantasy figures). It is a two piece set, one being the dragon and the other being the amethyst geode bed. ***Baby dragon*** Schleich usually gives names to their themed creations and this little fellow's name is Nugur. I think this is kind off cool, it makes the figure more personal and although the name might sound a bit odd it suits the little dragon nicely. The little dragon has a very baby like pose to it, lying on the back with it's paws or legs upwards. It's eyes are closed and face expression is really calm. Looking at a whole picture this one looks so innocent and vulnerable, as a baby of any species should. The little feet sticking in the air are extremely cute. It is hand painted and whoever painted it did an amazing job. The details are great, the colouring and shading are amazing it really gives this one a genuine look, well as much genuine as a dragon figure can be. Nugur can be displayed in the bed whit which it came or without it, the figure is balanced well. It is made out of plastic material that is just a little bit rubbery to the feel, it does not have a smell to it. ***Amethyst geode*** Along with the baby dragon you will be getting an bed or a nest (however you want to describe it) in which to put the baby to sleep. The material, well at-least the amethyst minerals, is a bit different, it is still plastic with a somewhat rubbery feel to it but it is slightly transparent - this making the amethyst mineral replica more realistic. The dragon fits in perfectly, the minerals are moulded in the way to support the dragon so you will need to position it correctly. *** I just love this one! It is suitable for children too, and the feedback from the few kids that got to hold mine was always "Aww, it's so cute". And I agree. In my mind if dragons existed, if they had babies this would be how they would look like. It's just so adorable!

                    Great under eye corrector

7am, waking up in the morning... Got to look fresh... Argh the under eye bags are there! No fear the Max Factor Under-eye concealer is here! I don't often have under eyes but when they come they come at full force. I bought this one since it looked kind of cool and was not too expensive. It comes in a small half black, half transparent tube/pen with a lid on top and a twist mechanism on bottom. I have a fair skin so I naturally I choose a fair (306) colour of concealer. It fits my skin perfectly. But lets start at the beginning... The concealer has a twist mechanism - you need to twist the bottom part so that the liquid concealer comes out on the brush at the top. When I first used it I thought it was broken since I had to twist it numerous times before the concealer finally came out on the top. The applicator brush on top is really soft so applying the concealer on the under eye is quite pleasant. Applying it is simple, you twist and apply if there is not enough you twist again naturally. The concealer spreads evenly and the soft brush allows perfect blending of the edges. The transition from concealed are to natural area is not seen. When the concealer is on your skin it feels as natural skin on the touch - there is no visual difference in texture. It is dry, but does not dry up your skin. It conceals the under eyes perfectly. It is durable enough, well unless if you rub your eyes constantly... I never had to correct it. I like how this one has no scent at all. I think this is a quick solution on taking care of under-eyes, it is easy to apply, easy to carry around and looks great.

                      Good lipstick with horrible smell

I love lipsticks although I rarely use them. But I do have quite a selection. I bought this one, because I needed something to go well with my new dress (naturally). I bought the Bronze Beauty colour. It is as the name suggest a bronze coloured lipstick, somewhat light orange brown colour with just a bit of shine. *The lipstick is easy to apply, it spreads evenly in a very thin layer and blends with your natural lip colour just a bit so it does look natural (as far as bronze lipstick can). After applying the lips are soft to the touch and do not feel dry. *The lipstick tends to stay on your lips rather than smearing everything your lips touch, it will leave marks in the beginning (if you by accident rub it on your dress, or test it on your hand) but later it won't. It also won't smear your teeth (yes, had that experience also) *The lipstick really is durable, I rarely needed to correct it when I had it on. All sounds good doesn't it? But this little one has one flaw. It smells horrible! I do not know how I could miss that when I was buying it but it really does. I thought it has gone bad but later got to know that that is just it's scent. Gladly enough the scent only sticks around when you apply the lipstick and a few minutes more, later on you (and others) won't smell it. If you do not mind the stench this one is certainly worth considering.

                        Disadvantages

A thermos flask that does it's job

It has been a while since I last owned something like this... Usually I only pack large quantities of water when going "into the wild". I could say that I almost forgotten how packing hot beverages feels like. One day on a hill far, far away there was a group of hikers. Most of them were not that experienced in their trade, or were just practising it occasionally. But amongst them was a hiking master with a secret artefact, that was capable of delivering bliss. Once the group conquered the hill and it's dangers, they had their well deserved feast the master hiker brought out the artefact that shined in all it's silver glory and delivered hot coffee... The end... I naturally needed to get my hands on this one, nothing better than hot coffee (or any other beverage) in the middle of a hike. I am not sure if the flask in the "story" was from this manufacturer, but this is the one I bought. I am familiar with Thermos and know they have quality products, that is why I must say I was a little bit surprised when in the shop I saw that these were amongst the cheapest ones - might be just because of the simple design. They had this model in 3 different sizes: 0,35l, 0,5l and 1l. I chose the 0,5l one since it is still small enough for carrying around in my backpack and large enough to fill it with tea or coffee - I thought the 0,35l one is a bit small for tee - just my opinion. I paid Euro9.99 for it, it is sold for £7.82 on Amazon.co.uk at time of writing. It is not exactly an eye catcher with it being stainless steel and well looking like stainless steel with some black added to it but considering the ones with flowers (etc) were twice or more the price of this one I would have to say it is gorgeous. The flask is easy to hold and is quite lightweight (some others I tried at the store were lighter though). The lid also serves as a cup - it feels OK to drink out of it - not as comfy as a regular cup but it is satisfactory. Pouring the liquid out of the flask is simple you just need to twist the "other lid" and start pouring. Now to the important part - how long does it keep the beverages warm (or cold, but I have not tested that jet)? Well I had multiple test runs with coffee and the results are - a few hours (1-3) after it has been poured into the coffee is really hot - hot enough that I had to wait a bit before drinking. After that there are several hours of normally hot coffee - if we started our hike in the morning the coffee would be still hot enough to enjoy in the afternoon. In the evening the coffee would be warm(ish). The same goes with tea. I imagine this also depends on how many times you open it or how much liquid you have inside. Cleaning is not hard - mostly I just rinse the parts with water (if I use it two or more days in a row and for the same liquid), when more demanding cleaning is about I use detergent for washing the dishes and some cocktail shaking techniques. On an odd occasion I also use the bottle brush. I think this one is great, it might not look the best compared to the nice colourful ones but considering the price and all other atributes I really can't rate this one anything less than 5 stars.
