Yayyyy Angela and Alex are back!!!!!!!!!! Yes I was very excited about I heart Christmas coming out. I have loved the I heart series so much so far and when I heard there was going to be one more I was so over joyed hehe! So we finally see Angela and Alex again planning their own fairytale of New York..Angela is busy planning everything for Christmas as a British girl, Christmas is the most favourite time of the year of her and she want's everything to be perfect but when Santa throws a few problems at her, new job and Jenny gone all baby craze, Friend's start turning up uninvited causing Angela to go in to chaos. Let's hope Angela gets her perfect Christmas... This was just ever so superb! I loved it and even finished it in a day! I just couldn't put the book down, was so hooked and enjoying catching up with what Angela and Alex had been doing, now a newlywed couple they are preparing themselves for Christmas which any British girl like Angela loves although she hasn't got the Boots catalogue to help her with the countdown to Christmas though this time. I am such a huge fan of Lindsey Kelk's books So I knew this one wasn't going to disappoint and I wasn't wrong..I was laughing, crying, and just loving the book so much. I loved the cover first time I set my eyes on it, I got all giddy thinking about Christmas..and this was back in November hehe. It was so good to read about Angela, Jenny and Louisa altogether again yay :) I Heart Christmas concentrate on more on Louisa and what she is facing at home with her husband Tim in which she comes running all the way to New York to escape. Jenny always brings Drama with her wherever she goes which always makes you giggle :) and guess who else comes back??? you got it. CICI!! yes i was like OMG! when I read but I still giggle now about a certain page in the book tehe! Let's just say Team Louisa hehe! Even though Lindsey has said this is the last book in the I heart series for a while, I feel it isn't going to be the last time as I feel with the ending left it wide open for another few more books of Angela and Alex. I heart Christmas definitely has a festive feeling in which you want to get all cosy up and read picturing it being Christmas already hehe! It is one festive read to be given as a present for Christmas this year just spread more love for the I Heart Series once again!
I truly adored this book ever so much, I was hooked and had to finish in a day because I loved so much. If you are big fans of Fifty shades or Crossfire series then you are going to love this, Yes there is plenty of hot sex but there is also a deep love story between a woman & a man and what depths they will go to to have their passion. We meet Jocelyn Butler a young woman who lost her family when she was a little girl and brought up with a foster family. Now capable of growing up by herself moves to Scotland for a fresh start and to hide away from her past, Until she meets a dark and handsome man in a suit who is going to rock her world... Here walks in Braden Carmichael a very wealthy business man who knows how to get his own way with his own dark past but does wear his heart on his sleeve when it comes to family. Jocelyn moves in with Ellie who just so happens to be Braden's sister and Braden is not going to give up the chase until he has Jocelyn in his bed... Can he get his own way? Or Will Jocelyn hide away just like she did with her family past? .... I can't express how much I truly loved this book so so much, It was amazing, a truly great love story but also with plenty of hot steamy sex scenes too, made me blush quite a lot hehe. I just loved the friendships and relationship brought a different side to Jocelyn or Joss as she keeps wanting to be called. I was very happy for her right at the end, tehe! I couldn't just pick one favourite character, I had to have two, My favourite characters would have to be Ellie Carmichael, she reminded me of herself as she was a bubbly kinda girl and friendly, she even brought out another side to Jocelyn as well which was lovely and Also Jocelyn because I loved how Samantha had written Jocelyn's character so perfect and broken but deserving a happy life, she comes across an independent woman but slowly Braden manages to peel away each layer like an onion showing Jocelyn's true feelings on life which is good because plenty of women can relate to that. I Thank Samantha Young for writing this book, it was perfect and I hope to see more of Jocelyn and Braden in the future...
First I want to say sorry for such a slow delay for this review just had so many reviews to do and been sucked in with some rather good books since I read this. This book did kinda remind me of One day by David Nicholls which was a fabulous read so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed with this read as its a similar story line. We Meet Rachel and Ben, two people who met at university and became the best of friends and did everything together until one little thing happened and both their lives moved on. Ben became married, Rachel didn't. One rainy day Rachel bumps into Ben and they start to catch up...will their friendship spark again? does Rachel have feelings? This book had me giggling all the way to the end, I just loved it so so much. It was an amazing read and I loved the way we flicked back to when Rachel and Ben were at university together and then back to the present where they were becoming friends again. Rachel was definitely my favourite character in this book, I felt I could relate to her at times and did also feel very sorry for her at times but she could soon pick herself back up again. She had a very witty personality. Ben came across a very mysterious and handsome man who everyone could like in university, the charmer and would have women falling at his feet. I loved all the mix of characters together and they soon all blended together in this brilliant story. It is definitely a book that will pull at your heart and maybe drop a few tears but you will want to fall in love with this book over and over. Go Grab a copy now if you haven't read already!
Title: Meet Me Under The Mistletoe Author: Abby Clements Publication Date: 25th October 2012 Publisher: Quercus Plot Childhood friends Laurie and Rachel's lives have taken very different paths since they picked up their A-level results together. Laurie is living in London and dedicated to her career, keeping track of her friends on Facebook. Rachel is seemingly living the family idyll in a cottage in Yorkshire - except she worries her marriage is starting to show cracks. When Rachel's mother in law falls ill and needs treatment in London, and Laurie decides she needs to get away for a break, a house swap falls into place. Soon Rachel is braving the mean streets of London while trying to keep her family together, while Laurie tries to figure out how to work an Aga and befriend the locals - and forget the man who seems intent on breaking her heart. Will their relationships survive this test? And will they make it home in time for Christmas? My Opinion Out of all the Christmas Reads that came out in 2012, I decided I had to leave this one to last and I was so glad i did! First time I saw this cover I knew I would enjoy it and i loved the cover, it was very glittery and sparkly just like how i love about a Christmas book hehe! This is the first book by Abby Clements and I enjoyed it so much! We meet Laurie and Rachel, childhood friends but taken very different paths, Rachel is married with two kids and is living in Yorkshire in a cute little cottage, she starts to worry that her marriage is starting to show bad cracks.. Laurie is living the high life in London with a great payed job who is dedicated to her career but keeps a track of her friends on Facebook. I loved this book so much, the chapters flick from Laurie to Rachel which you get to warm up to the characters and meet them both busy in life when suddenly Rachel's mum falls ill quickly and needs urgent treatment in London. Rachel and Laurie get in touch and suggest about swapping places.. I loved this idea because it reminded me of the film "The Holiday" which starred Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet. I loved both of the Characters, they both seemed so lovely even though they both seem to have complicated lives. My Favourite character would have to be Laurie though, I felt like I could relate to her and warmed up to her more with being a single girl myself and dedicated to my career just like Laurie herself. However I don't live in London lol. I did Like Rachel's character though as well with the closeness of her family and how she was trying to keep her marriage together. This is a brilliant read which will have you smiling and laughing but also have a few tears run down your face as well lol. It was a shame we didn't get to have more chapters of Laurie and Rachel actually catching up properly. I just loved the chapter at the end on Christmas Day, was great...don't want to say too much hehe! Im so glad I chose to read this Christmas book last as I loved it so so much and I think everyone must read it as you will all feel warm and snug reading this. It is definitely a light hearted easy read which will leave you with warm fuzzy feelings. I will certainly be wanting to read more books by Abby Clements. She is a splendid author! Roll on her next book now hehe!
Plot The countdown to her winter wedding has begun... Anna Carter the perfect Christmas Eve wedding. It's been on her 'to-do' list since she was a little girl stuck living in a children's home and dreaming of a far happier family life than she'd ever experienced. Now she's found the perfect Georgian country manor as a venue, to which she will be taken in a reindeer-drawn sleigh. She's got a show-stopping designer ivory-beaded wedding dress. And she's even found her groom. Three years ahead of schedule, funny, sexy, handsome journalist, Tom, had swept her off her feet. Only, now, two weeks before the wedding, Tom drops a bombshell that threatens to ruin everything. But nothing is going to stop Anna's plans - not even the pesky inconvenience of discovering her perfect husband-to-be already has a wife... My Review Now I have always been a big fan of Scarlett Bailey I have loved her books The Night Before Christmas and Santa Maybe on e-reader, when I heard she was bringing a new book out with another Christmassy feel I couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy. When I first saw the book I just knew I needed a copy, The book was a lovely vibrant red and just had a Christmas feel with it.I just couldn't wait to read. We meet some lovely characters in this book, Anna Carter who was taken into care when she was little because her mum abandoned her. Liv and her family take in Anna and adopt her, soon Liv and Anna become best of friends.. Years on and Anna is planning her perfect Christmas with her best friend/step sister to help her but when her ever so lovely fiance Tom tells her something that could just ruin her dream altogether... I really did love not because it has a Christmas feel but also because it can certainly pull st your heart strings this book, make sure you have tissues at the ready. Scarlett definitely pulled it out of the bag once again, It was written perfectly and made you soon warm up to all the characters were all amazing in their own little way. The best heroine in the book would have to be Liv because i felt really sorry for her at times but was happy when she found happiness hehe she came across as just a normal girl who had no worries but just wanted her own true love hehe. This book is a fantastic and funny read and was a splendid read for Christmas 2012 You will all enjoy am sure. Grab a copy now!!
MY OPINION After reading Meet Me At The Cupcake Cafe we follow on in this lovely story with all the main characters in a busy cafe getting ready for Christmas... I really enjoyed this book! I loved all the mix of characters, you easily get to know each one of them and like them very much by the end of the book you feel like you really know the characters in person and feel they could be your best friends. They all individually stand out with their own problems but all get stuck in working at The Cupcake Cafe. I got the version on my kindle but however I saw the cover in supermarkets and it is such a colourful and brightly book that sure should attract people to buy! With this book you don't need to have read Meet Me At The Cupcake Cafe because at the beginning of the book Jenny had wrote a lovely letter to all readers and explained what happened in the last book so you could easily follow this book. It was such an amazing read, having it set in two different places was cool, London and New York...what couldn't possible be better for Christmas time? Hehe! I just couldn't wait to curl up and read this, I enjoyed all the recipes which were definitely making my mouth water so I shall be passing the recipes on to my sister who is wonderful at baking cakes! I don't want to mention to much of the story line just I recommend you do purchase this book because you really won't be disappointed, It will have you laughing, crying, smiling, frowning...Probably every emotion going...But you will certainly not want to miss this book! I've loved all of Jenny Colgan's book so far and I shall continue to read more of her books in years to come. For being the second book of Christmas themed books of this year it has definitely got me in the Christmas spirit especially with only 9 weeks to go hehe! All people looking for gifts for Christmas....Think your partner, wife, girlfriend, best friend, sister, mum, auntie, cousin likes reading? then i would recommend you purchase this book for them, you will be a star in their eyes for life then..hehe! It is a perfect Christmas read with lots of festiveness to get you in the spirit!
Plot Gideon Cross. As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn't stay away. i didn't want to. He was my addiction...My every desire...Mine My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We'd never work. It was too hard, too painful... except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity. We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession... My Opinion Eeeekkkkk! Squeeeeeel! Ooooooo! Absolutely Beautiful Perfect Read!! Definitely the two perfect people for Eva and Gideon. David Gandy My Perfect Mr Dark and Dangerous!! "I WAS seriously hurt because of you. Seeing you in another guy's arms, kissing him... It shredded me, Eva. Cut me open and left me bleeding. I kicked his ass in self-defense." I was so involved in this book, i devoured it! If you loved Bared To You then you will extremely want to have this book in your possession. We are brought back into the complicated lives of Eva and Gideon and their whirl wind of a relationship and in depth of how the story was left at the end of the first book. You will be dragged into an emotional and exhausting journey between two broken people but have undying love for each other. Eva is a girl who wears her heart on her sleeve and spills every tiny secret to prove to Gideon that she is his and only his... Where as Gideon is the total opposite and is bottling up every secret and refuses to say anything only for Eva to trust him. "He was my drug, and i had no desire to kick the habit." They both seem to hurt each other in their own sort of way but always come running back in to each other's arms. It is a sick and possessive relationship they have and you just wish sometimes in the book that they would either walk away and separate completely or you want to bang both their heads together and make them see that their is just too true. "I'd rather argue with you, angel, then laugh with anyone else." I could go into details about the book and why i loved it so much...However i just recommend you buy the book and read for yourself. I was so engrossed with the love between Gideon and Eva. A fantastic erotic journey to hell and back which will be wishing you had your very own Gideon Cross. I am so gutted i have finished the book now..however i will be pining for 7th May to hurry up so i can follow on with Entwined with you and carry on with the journey...
Plot Our journey began in fire.... Gideon Cross came into my life like lightening in the darkness - beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white hot. I was drawn to him as i'd never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily... Gideon knew. He had demons of his own, And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other's most private wounds... and desires. The bonds of his love transformed me, even as I prayed that the torment of our pasts didn't tear us apart... My Opinion A friend recommended to me this Author Sylvia Day as we had both recently just finished all the fifty shades series. I have to say even though i did love the fifty shades trilogy i preferred this book as it was well written better. We meet the main characters Eva Tramell and Gideon Cross, they meet the first time in his crossfire building which is where Eva happens to work as well. They soon become involved in a whirl wind relationship but find out they both have broken pasts but yet still are attracted to each other. They soon become obsessed with each other and are never apart... I loved that it had such a flow into a love story and getting to know more about Eva and Gideon. It was a great read and I couldn't put my kindle down as i wanting to hurry to see what happened next on every page. I loved the name Eva nicknamed Gideon aka Mr Dark and Dangerous. I kept trying to picture my own Gideon Cross and this who i thought fitted perfectly David Gandy - My Perfect Man he would be ;) I cannot wait to follow on in the crossfire series and read more about Eva and Gideon's Life's. I don't want to spoil or give any more details away about the series just I recommend anybody to pick up this book and give it a go! You won't know what your missing. We all need our very own Gideon Cross sometimes...

I am a big Miranda Dickinson fan, Iv read all of her books she has ever written and Loved them all so I knew I couldn't be dissapointed with this one either. I was lucky enough when I bought this book to get a copy of the Limited Edition Pink Pages one hehe! Oh how wonderful it brightens the book up! :) I just loved this book so much, It tugged at my heart strings so much and left me in floods of tears by the end, I loved the flow of writing and how Miranda gets you sucked in the book so much as though you feel like you've known the characters all your life. It was a fantastic read and with all the mix of characters they all just mixed nicely together and you never get confused with which character is who. I would say Elsie Maynard would have to be my favourite Heroine indeed, she came across as such a lovely woman who is clearly had a tough eighteen months of losing her husband to Cancer and then having to rebuild her life which is what her husband Lucas' wishes were. I felt at times I just needed to give her a big hug and make everything okay. Having lost a family member to Cancer myself I clearly knew how Elsie was going through and how tough it actually can be. For Elsie and all her choir to get the chance to go to Paris made me smile and dream alot when describing Paris and all the iconic scenic places. There was some funny parts in the book which will have you giggling and maybe even singing along too hehe! I loved all the flavours of ice cream from Cher's Sundae & Cher business, she did make some weird ones like Horseradish (Ewww!) but then also some rather gorgeous tempting ones too hehe!(Donuts oh yum yum) I liked that at the end of the story, Miranda included 'The List' that Elsie and Lucas created together, it was cute but also funny to imagine some of the things being done on the list. I do think this book is a perfect winter read which you will need a box of tissues at the ready. You must all grab a copy of this book now! Miranda Dickinson you have done it again!!

But the last story to tell has the power to change all of their lives forever, and Laura is forced to choose between who she really is and who it is she wants to be. MY REVIEW This was another perfect Christmas read this year, First time I saw The Perfect Present I just knew it was going to be a great read, it was such a cute front cover a very good chick lit cover and very eye catching. I've never read a book by Karen Swan before so i was a bit worried I might not like this, but I was totally wrong, I loved every minute of it. We meet the ever so sweet Laura Cunningham who is haunted by her past and has a pretty basic and small life of her growing jewellery business, her quiet relationship and a lovely best friend who keeps her sane and helps in her business. Laura is busy away sorting all her Christmas orders and making little charms when the ever so charming Rob Blake swans in and asks Laura to make him a necklace with lots of charms which each charm will represent each piece of his Wife Cat's life. Laura must interview a few people in Cat's family, friends and former lovers..But Laura steps out of her own world into Cat's..will she change altogether or will she stay enclosed in her small simple life? I absolutely adored this book ever so much, In the book you never really find out what haunts Laura until the last quarter of the book which actually had me in tears and felt very sorry for her indeed. I loved the little places she visits while on her travels for the interviews, where she meets the ever so batty Kitty who is an old best friend of Cat's who has a crazy life but still wishes to be part of Cat's life but that just isn't going to happen... I loved the style of writing and Karen definitely described everything in beautiful detail and at times I wished I could of been part of Laura's life or even the ever so handsome Rob Blake...now he just had me drooling hehe. I loved all the characters in the book, I don't want to give the names away too much but they are all crazy but also wonderful in their own sort of way and how some of them piece Cat's life together through the interviews and the charms did make me smile. This book is definitely in my top 10 books of the Christmas reads for 2012. You must grab a copy and read., It will make you smile, cry but also giggle.I will certainly be reading more of Karen's books and will make sure some of my friends do too!
Plot Tis the season to be Jolly... but can Eve find happiness through the frost...? Eve has never liked Christmas, not since her beloved fiance was killed in action in Afghanistan on Christmas Day. So when her adored elderly aunt dies, the last thing she is expecting is to be left a theme park in her will. A theme park with a Christmas theme... And that's not the only catch. Her aunt's will stipulates that Eve must run the park with a mysterious partner, the exotically named Jacques Glace. Who is this Jacques, and why did Aunt Evelyn name him in her will? But Eve isn't going to back down from a challenge. She's determined to make a success of Winterworld, no matter what. Can she overcome her dislike of Christmas, and can Jacques melt her frozen heart at last? My Opinion This was such a fabulous Christmas read, I was giggling at some of the best parts of the book! I am a big fan of Milly Johnson's books, I adored reading White Wedding and I was glad to find out that Violet was appearing again in this new book yay!! So we start with Meeting the Lovely Eve who is awaiting at the solicitors to hear about Aunt Evelyn's will, when Eve finds out her aunt left her a theme park and also some money, but one catch..you have a handsome business partner too Jacques Glace, I just loved the chemistry between Jacques and Eve, I loved the way she misjudges him all the way hehe, You will understand when you read it hehe! It was great to hear more about Violet who is Eve's cousin and Pav, it was cute to see their relationship develop more and more although I felt like i had bit all of my nails at one point in the book but then was so happpy :) I also noticed Max and Bella from Milly's last book White Wedding also reappeared which was just fab! My favourite character in this book would have to be Eve, she was just so brave but also had a frozen heart and hates Christmas because she lost the love of her life Johnathon on Christmas day and Her Fiance's family can't stand her and wouldn't even tell her where he was buried. So she was alone until she received the theme park. I really did love this book and It was such a great Christmassy feel, I couldn't wait to snuggle up reading this, It was great with plenty of humour but also pulled at my heart strings a couple of times. I want everyone to grab a copy because you will not be disappointed hehe!
