      Advantages

      • "Shiny effect "

      Disadvantages

      • "Very thick texture"

Very thick shimmery gloss, but doesn''t look great for long.

After many friends using this product religiously I was lucky enough to receive it one year in the giant gift sets they sell in boots. It was slightly pinky-red but didn''''t really seem to colour my lips at all when applied and looked more clear coloured with loads of shimmer. On first applying this product to your lips you can see how think it is when looking at the lip gloss applicator so I was tempted to wipe off some excess, however decided against and applied it to my bare lips. Straight away they began to tingle quite a lot, and so when checking in the mirror my lips did look very shiny and full. The taste of this lipgloss isn''''t the best and that can often put me off a lipgloss however it''''s not too overpowering. After wearing this lipgloss for about half an hour I did find that it began glooping in certain areas of my lips and almost creating a line of foundation around my lips which didn''''t look good at all. I did consider when reapplying to use less lipgloss from the wand but then thought that applying so little would defeat the object of having my lips look plumper. I don''''t think I would be quick to repurchase this lipgloss as it''''s just too thick and stick for me. I also received a coloured mother pucker in another set more recently and haven''''t used this at all because it''''s a very hot pink colour that I think in this lip gloss would be a little too much for me :)

Just not for me - never again!

Hmm another lip-gloss to the collection which I purchased new from Ebay a while back and to be honest when I used this a few times I threw it to the back of the draw with some other products not a favourite what so ever. I don't like this at all - it's a lip-gloss that is 'deigned' to plump the lips and to make them look fuller. I don't see it at all, my lips looked exactly the same? It's very claggy and sticky and I know it's not just mine as a few friends of mine have it and theirs is claggy too I've noticed. It's not often I write a bad review about a product but this one has to be on the top. Personal opinion and preference. When you apply the gloss it does feel tingly and like its working but no - nothing. Would never buy again.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

not impressed with product, feels horrible on lips and rather expensive.

As far as Soap & Glory goes, I love them. I've tried so many of their products and have fallen inlove, especially with their high quality moisturisers that leave my skin feeling smooth and healthy and their scrubs that seem to bring my zombie skin after weeks of nightshifts back to life. I'd never tried any of the Soap & Glory make up range but with the assumption based on their body products I wasn't too nervous. Santa was generous enough to leave the The Yule Monty gift set by Soap & Glory under the tree this Christmas which included Sexy Mother Pucker lipgloss along with other great smelling goodies.

The product consists of a smart looking little tube full of promise, and Soap & Glory claim: "Britain's hottest selling lip plumping gloss, Soap & Glory's bestselling Original Formula SEXY MOTHER PUCKER includes ingenious PLUMPING MICROSPHERES that explode in volume up to 10x when they come in contact with water (they're like tiny, dehydrated little sponges that expand when they get wet) and an exclusive microcirculation-stimulating extract to visibly enhance lip volume. Amazing. Addictive."

At usually £9.00 a tube from Boots it's a little more than I would normally pay for a lip gloss, infact I tend to steer away from lip glosses altogether and just stick to a simple shiny lip balm. The tube is smart and compact which adheres to the classic Soap and Glory style; simple, stylish and very, very girly! Rather than being kitted out with a spongey applicator stick this tube requires squeezing to get some product out. The scent is delicious and again, classic Soap & Glory with a subtle yet good quality smell that is a delicious!

Upon application, I noticed that it went on smooth and was easy to cover my lips evenly with a very small amount. The colour is a subtle pink, and as I've got pale skin the colour suited me well without screaming "LOOK AT ME!!" (which is totally not my style!) The lip gloss provided a nice shine which looked even and not too heavy on my lips, making my pout look very kissable indeed if I do say so myself! So it's all going pretty well right now, but then the unbearable tingling/stinging started!

After about 5 minutes when I started to make my way downstairs to get the party started I noticed that my lips started tingling. I was aware that this product has "lip plumping formula" and I'd tried these kind of products before that induce a little tingle to make you feel like your lips are swelling but it goes away after a while. As time went on my entire mouth felt numb and sensitive, and sipping my drink felt uncomfortable. After a while I ended up just wiping the lip gloss off which fortunately put an abrupt stop to the tingling, I was terrified I was having an allergic reaction! I didn't even notice any difference to my lips apart from feeling really weird, which was very disappointing considering I walked around feeling like I'd replaced my mouth with a rubber ring for a sexy pucker which was promised!

I wouldn't recommend this product, as a female in Western society I am well aware that there is the idea of 'beauty is pain' but I think I'll stick to gentler products that soften my lips and don't cause such discomfort! The colour, texture and consistency was all well and fair but the sensation really crossed all these out for me. I didn't wear the product long enough to feel the benefit due to the discomfort and I don't think I'll be trying it out again! As this product was part of a gift I wasn't too disheartened that it didn't work out for me, however if I'd paid the £9.00 from Boots I'd be seriously cheesed off.

Lovely colour that looks great on your lips.

I first tried the Soap and Glory products 2 Christmases ago when my husband purchased a gift set for me. In this set was this particular lip gloss. It looks great. When I put the gloss on my lips I noticed it was a lot thicker and stickier than other lip glosses. However, it looked nice on. The colour was subtle but created a great shine. 5 minutes later, the problem arrived. My lips began to tingle which quickly turned into a burn. It got so bad that I had to wash it off immediately. I didn't give up though. A few days later I tried it again, this time the tingling stayed at a slight tingle. Having kept it on this time, the tingling disappeared after about 10 minutes. As a result, my lips looked fabulous. They looked slightly fuller and the colour was great. I have since bought the hot pink lip gloss and once again the colour looks fab. My advice, if at first it tingles....keep trying, you won't be disappointed.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Could get better elsewhere but it's a nice treat

          Soap & Glory

You either know this brand or know of this brand and alongside Rimmel London and other such like Mac this product is in the main stream and not something you would generally find the likes of Rihanna or Kate Middleton wearing (one would simply wear Channel like our beloved Norma Gene otherwise known as Ms Monroe!). So what am I implying? This brand isn't low income friendly - BOOOO! On a more serious note the brand in itself offers mostly cosmetic and beauty products - he'll if you're female or one of my gay best friends you'll love it. It's a flirty and fun brand and Elle Woods (main character in legally blond) signature colour... Pink! There's bubble baths, lotions, creams and make up as well as bags to compliment this. Generally speaking though this would better suit a budget of say £30-50 a month on health care products but I shall get back to that.

          Boring Box Stuff

Well the product is called "Sexy Mother Pucker" at an initial glance I didn't think much on it but the fifties image had a Laura Croft pout about her so my initial thought was "I bet this overpriced lipgloss is going to be about giving me irresistible kissers" but hey I obviously bought it (more about the childish title of the product of what the p in pucker could have been changed to!). So according to the pretty box it states that the lipgloss includes "ingenious" plumping microspheres - English please? So basically tiny molecules that explode when coming into contact with water. Basic English? Imagine spongebob when he gets wet and absorbs things he gets BIGGER so this is what happens to our lips.
          What Does it Look Like?

The box is rectangular and a pink cardboard which the bottom half being more 3D, like I said previously there's a 50s look imagine where a woman has a pucker pouting pose and looks glamorous for that time. So Soap and Glory are very much there own unique brand and definitely stand out so trust me you won't accidentally walk past them unless you're as blind as me!

The tube itself is very - basic, literally it's a clear tube and a black twist lid to pull the sponge out and pucker up those lips... Oh and black writing. Little disappointing that it's not out there and obvious like a lot of the other products but I would still say I like the look it's still different and doing its own thing. I also like the fact that the tube is clear so I know when I'm running out of lipgloss - any fellow make up whore will agree that putting on mascara in the morning and realising when you have one eye done that you've ran out and are having a nervous breakdown because now you look like something out of a clockwork orange and it's not even halloween!
          What Colour?

Right so something a little different about this product the colour and the flavour are different! I like the fact that there's a bit of flavour it's different to that horrible fat type lard taste you get off other lipgloss - if I. Going to taste lipgloss it might as well taste nice!

          * Clear is chocolate orange flavour
          * Candy Gloss is vanilla flavour

          * Pink Apricot is chocolate orange flavour
          * Half Naked is buttered popcorn flavour

          * Punch Bowl is chocolate cherry flavour
          * Yummy Plum is chocolate/raspberry flavour

          Quality

I think the quality is good overall, the lid doesn't magically open on its own like some brands I won't mention right now, it doesn't taste like lard when you wear it. I would say the brush could probably be a little better it looks literally like a plastic stick with a white brush and although realistically I wasn't expecting a golden wand or anything I did think that it was a bit bendy and cheap so could probably snap if you're a little rough and ready. I think the sponge is OK too but again that could be better quality in all fairness I just don't entirely like the feel of when I apply the lipgloss unless that's me being a little picky.
          Absorbency and Texture

If you look at the instructions for how to use you will find another unique thing about the product with regards the tingle.

          "How to Use
Sexy Mother PuckerTM activates on contact. It's likely that you'll notice a bit of a buzz (and likely, create one). Please note: This is normal."

          Do I agree? YES!
To be quite blunt when I first put this on I thought it was an odd sensation your lips seem slightly chilled but it's quite nice and you also notice it's a little tingling sensation like you're getting rid if pins and needles - like I said its odd.

As for the texture I would say its thick and easily spreadable so I like it but you need to apply two layers to notice the colour as I think the colour doesn't show as great as it could and considering its thick I thought this was a shame as the two layers could mean more lipgloss time! Once on your lips though you don't notice it too much apart from the tingling sensation whereas usually the lipgloss would feel a little heavy on my lips this one was barely noticeable apart from the tingle.
          Glossy? For How Long?

At first the product is glossy and looks very attractive but after around an hour it's not that noticeable so I would say you would ideally need to reapply every hour maybe or just use the product for dates and hope you don't transfer the excess lipgloss. Like I said I do think that this is a shame and I would love it to be longer lasting for this one reason - they come in pretty colours.

          Price and Where To Buy

You can buy this from most boots retailers mostly the bigger main stores. In boots the lipgloss is priced as £9 whereas other products the same but different brands are generally £6/7 so it's a little pricier than some of the other main stream brands but it down to somebody's own discretion whether they think it's worthy of there budget. Personally I probably won't buy this again I will be looking at the cheaper option or buying if on offer because I'm a cheapskate usually but if I felt like really treating myself then I might push the boat out. Alternatively you could always do a hunt on eBay who knows you could probably get the same thing for £3 I can't be certain that it wouldn't have been a five finger discount of a back lorry job but it would certainly be cheaper.

          Overall Opinion

Personally I love it, it's quirky, flirty and girly so why wouldn't I? I like the addictive little tingling sensation but realistically I don't think it plumps up your lips - no chance! I think it temporarily makes your lips look more plump if you pout a little but I think the thickness does this if you keep a normal face whilst wearing this you will see it's a normal lipgloss but with that tingle for when you mingle. Like I said I would probably never buy this again unless I want to treat myself but I wouldn't cross it off the shopping list necessarily.

I'm going to say three stars, the price is a little steep and I don't think it makes your lips more Laura Croft - sorry ladies. I do like the design, the tingle, the colour and flavour thing and they're a good quality brand generally but unless I get a better paid job I will be going back to the cheaper brands or Vaseline.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          Not worth it

So I'm a massive fan of lip plumpers and buy any new one that I see. Soap & Glory's 'Sexy Mother Pucker' is one of the first that I tried, after hearing good things from a couple of my friends.

The limp plump has a sturdy applicator (rather than a flimsy brush). I like this as it makes it easy to apply to your lips without getting it on the skin around your mouth - something that you really don't want to happen with a lip plumper.

The plumper glides easily across the lips and it is very easy to get an even coverage. It feels quite thick and sticky on your lips - like a very thick gloss. This means that you can't really wear it under lipstick unless you wait for it to rub away, by which time the effect has worn off. It looks good as a gloss in it's own right though - nice and shiny and shimmery.

After a minute or so you start to feel a tingling feeling on your lips (I like this feeling, as with other lip plumpers, but I know a couple of my friends do find it too painful) which means that the plumper is working. The tingling sensation of this product is milder compared to others however.

I found the plumping effect of this product quite minimal and disappointing - it did make my lips look slightly plumper, but not by very much, and the effect only lasts a few minutes before wearing off. I wouldn't recommend using it for a plumper - there are much better available in the price range - but it does make quite a nice lip gloss.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

If you enjoy beauty you'll go through with the pain!

I love lipgloss and it was even better recieving Soap and Glory lipgloss this year! They come in al l different shades but each ones just as nice.

I was quite dissapointed to find out that this lipgloss burns your lips when you put it on and even though it says it plumps up your lips, I do not see any difference in my lips and without the difference it don't think going through with the burnings worth it. It also doesn't last long at all and even after letting it dry for ages I could still leave marks on a glass that I would of drank from, therefore I would have to keep and keep applying more, its too easy to come off.

I wouldn't recommend this as its quite expensive for something that burns your lips and also comes off very easy, you could find some lipgloss even better and cheaper than this product.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Sweet tasting but sticky plumping lip gloss

While I generally prefer lipstick to gloss on the rare occasion that I wear make-up, having received the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker (SMP) Lip Gloss in a large gift set from my wonderful partner, it would have been rude not to wear it at least a few times. Having been hidden away amongst all the other goodies in my gift set, my tube of SMP gloss came unhindered by any excess packaging, but a quick look online tells me that should I have bought it separately it would have come in a cardboard box adorned with Soap & Glory's standard kitsch labelling. Being completely naked (as it were) my tube of gloss is a fairly simple and (by Soap & Glory standards) unassuming. Consisting of a slightly frosted tube that allows me to see the rather vivid pink lip gloss inside, with a shiny black screw top lid, the only decoration on the tube is the words "Sexy Mother Pucker" along with how much it contains (7ml), address and website details and a 24M tag telling me that it has a shelf life of 24 months after opening. To be perfectly honest, I'm finding that I quite like the look of this lip gloss, it looks far more elegant than other comparably priced brands and no where nearly as busy as many other Soap and Glory products.

SMP appears to be available in five shades, all of which have slightly off-the-wall names, but as mine came in the gift set I had no choice in which shade I received. While in the tube the shade I received is a bright yet dusky pink that is very appropriately named "punch bowl". On opening the tube, which incidentally was very difficult the first time around due to how tightly it was closed, a sponge applicator wand is revealed to have been hiding within the lid. The sponge tip is slanted and picks up a decent amount of gloss without becoming over-saturated, while the gloss itself emits a delicious fruity aroma with (what to my nose is) a heavy chocolate/vanilla back-note. Having looked online, I can categorically state that my own nose isn't that bad at picking up scents as Punch Bowl is described as being chocolate cherry flavour, I can't say that I can actually pick up cherry, but there is definitely fruit and chocolate.

Although I don't wear make-up everyday, I am quite particular about preparing my face beforehand when I do, which means before this gloss is applied I will use both a lip scrub and balm to make sure that there are no nasty flakes or tags of skin to ruin the look. After having prepared my lips and put the rest of my face on, it was time to give this lip gloss a test and especially test out the claims that it will add "serious plumping power to my pout". The sponge tip to the wand holds the perfect amount of gloss to apply to either my top or bottom lip and is shaped to make accurate application easy. I do find that the gloss spreads easily over my smooth lips but does feel very sticky from the off. Once on the lips the colour is far more subdued than it was when in the tube, leaving a soft, dusky pink sheen on my lips. The scent that was very apparent when in the bottle, remains when on the lips, albeit in a much more subtle form and there is a slight hint of sweetness to the taste.

Although Soap and Glory state that this gloss contains both "Superfill Lip Plumping Spheres" and "Lipswell Volume Boost Technology" there is nothing on the actual tube to have prepared me for what was to come as I wore this lip gloss. It's lucky that I had taken a look online before putting this on my lips, else I would have been in for a shock. The Superfill Plumping Spheres, appear to work a little like sponges that can absorb up to ten times their volume in liquid, these will therefore make your lips appear fuller as the spheres swell and coat the surface. While the spheres will appear to make your lips fuller, the Lipswell Volume Boost is designed to slightly irritate the lip surface, causing it to tingle while increasing the blood flow which will cause a small amount of swelling which in turn will (hopefully) make your lips fuller.

While my lips are not massive, neither are they particularly thin and insignificant, I've got by with my lips being this size for forty years now and never had any complaints, but who doesn't want a slightly sexier pout? Immediately after application while the gloss had added sheen and touch of colour, I really can't say that there was any noticeable change in their size beyond what there would have been had I applied any other lip gloss. Having worked out that the volume enhancing properties needed to be in some way activated, I licked my lips and then rubbed them together to see if this would make any difference. While I really can't say that the spheres did their job and soaked up the moisture to enhance lip size, doing this definitely seemed to start some sort of reaction as far as the Lipswell aspect goes. The tingle starts quite gentle and then steadily builds in intensity over about ten minutes, until it almost feels as if my lips are being pricked by hundreds of tiny needles. If I was pushed to find something to compare it with I would say that it is similar to that part of a tattoo where colour is being filled in, only slightly less intense. It's not painful as such, but I would imagine that it would be uncomfortable for some. Personally I quite like the feeling, but there again I found having my tattoos done quite relaxing and have given birth five times, for me it's intense but not painful.

With all this tingling going on, it was time too look in the mirror to see if I now had gorgeous pouting lips. There does seem to be a misconception that this lip gloss will make your lips appear up to ten times bigger than normal, but having read all the spiel on both the Soap and Glory and Boots websites, I knew this was not the case. For a start even if I had the thinnest lips ever, I would not like them to swell to ten times their size, I had an allergic reaction once (that funnily enough felt similar to the effect this gloss gives only much worse) where my lips doubled in size and it was not a good look. What this gloss does promise is that the spheres (which are probably tiny to start with) will swell up to ten times in volume to give the appearance of fuller lips, while the Lipswell technology will cause some genuine plumping (the amount of plumping is not quantified). Personally I found that there was a small but noticeable plumping effect, that lasted about half an hour, my lips did look fuller, both to myself and my partner, but not ridiculously so.

While the plumping effect only lasted about half an hour, due to the incredibly sticky formulation the gloss remained on my lips well beyond this time scale. Although I do appreciate that I don't need to be constantly reapplying, I do feel this is perhaps a little too sticky as should it be worn on a windy day my hair will stick to my lips (and I have a real phobia about hair coming into contact with my mouth). The gloss does not seem to transfer easily from my lips, I only ever leave very faint lip marks on glasses and cups when drinking while wearing this gloss. With my lips looking extra kissable after using this gloss it's a good thing that my partner doesn't mind the feel of the lip gloss or the tingle effect transferring as it does . (As Sexy as this gloss makes your lips feel it is not a good idea to apply it before getting intimate, as that tingle definitely does transfer to whatever you kiss). After the gloss has faded away it does not seem to have any permanent effect on my lips, they are no softer or more hydrated, but neither are they more dehydrated.

With a standard price of £9, Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss falls at the high end of the budget brands (or the low end of luxury) and offers reasonable value for money. Unless you have a larger Boots store than my local small town branch, then most likely you would have to purchase this online as it does seem to be pretty much exclusive to Boots on the High Street. (I have seen this available at Amazon for inflated prices). Giving this lip gloss a rating out of five is proving quite difficult, I do like the colour and look on my lips and I do find that it makes my lips a little fuller. But I also find it incredibly sticky and feel that I can get much the same effect from the old fashioned method of simply biting my lips and then using a cheap gloss. Looking at the ingredient list on the Soap and Glory website (http://www.soapandglory.com/products/cosmetics/ lips/super-colour-sexy-mother-pucker-trade-lip-gloss) the gloss also contains a fair number of chemicals, although it has to be said that Soap and Glory test on humans rather than animals.

All being told, I think that Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss deserves four stars out of five, as for me the benefits greatly outweigh the negatives and I do think that I will be asking for some of the other colours come my birthday.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

Leave it well alone unless you like the look and feel of bee's on your lips.

I am not a huge user of lipglosses, I much prefer to apply lipstick or just plain balm as gloss is just sticky and wipes off easily and generally just something I don't like. This particular gloss was given to me as a present a couple of years ago and I decided in the name of Dooyoo to try it out and see how it was. As this was a gift I don't know how much it cost however to buy this solo is costs £9 so firstly I have to say I would never pay that amount for any lip gloss and especially not one that makes my lips feel like they've been stung by a hive of bee's. However Soap and Glory products can normally be found in Boots on a 3 for 2 deal so there is the opportunity there to knock the price down a bit however I do feel it is still overpriced but that's just my opinion.

The lipgloss comes in a box that has the expected Soap and Glory retro images and pale pink colouring. I do really like the brand and I think that it looks really unique on the shelves. There is a cut out strip from where you can see the lipgloss inside. Mine is a sort of dusty pink kind of colour. On removal from the box the tube itself simply states the brand and name up the side with the colouring being completely transparent allowing you to look inside and seeing how much of the gloss remains. The twist off cap is black in colour and twists off nice and easily. On the underside of the cap is where the wand is attached with the typical applicator at the end with a slant on one side to allow easy application onto the lips. Overall once out of the box this lipgloss is really no better or different than any other lipgloss I have ever tried which is slightly disappointing.

To use the gloss I simply remove the wand from the tube and glide over my lips. It's as simple as that. Once the gloss is applied it has a very subtle pink shimmer to it which I actually quite like however there is a ridiculous amount of gloss, even applying just one swipe over my lips leaves me looking like I'm trying to hard. The ingredient that always reminds me of mint for some reason is very quickly activated on my lips and they start swelling, very out of proportion to my face and I look like a blowfish. Alternatively if any of you are watching I'm A Celebrity - Helen (Rosie from Coronation Street) when she does that stupid pout face the whole time, that's how your lips look. I'm sorry but not even she can pull that off. It's like those people who do fish lips and then take a picture in the mirror, it looks awful and I have yet to see a single person that can effectively get away with this look. It's really awful but even wiping the gloss off of my lips the effects are still very visable and remain so for around an hour I would say so I suppose that this does do the job it claims to do however even so I still think that this is an awful lip gloss. It's also super sticky and makes your lips feel extremely heavy and your hair gets stuck in it and then the gloss starts to clump leaving you with unsightly white patches in the corners of your mouth.

Overall I really cannot recommend this lipgloss, it looks awful once applied, it's far too sticky, it's very expensive, there is not much colour given off, the gloss is overly shiny and there is just nothing nice about it. I am awarding this one star simply because I cannot give it any less.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            a sticky mess

I recieved this in a soap and glory gift set last christmas, I dont usually buy lip glosses but since I got this once as a gift I decided to give it a go.

It comes in a 7ml tube with a screw off lid, and the application stick is attached to the lid. I find that the stick comes out with plenty of lip gloss on it, more than enough for one application and its easy enough to apply using the stick.

The lip gloss claims to volumise your lips 10 times, which I have to say it really doesnt. I suppose it might make them appear a little bigger as they look all wet and sticky and shiny so you notice them more, put I wouldnt really say it plumps them up. The most annoying thing about this lip gloss is how sticky it is; if your hair touches it then it sticks and becomes sticky, if you accidently smudge it then your face is sticky, and you deifnitely cannot kiss anybody whilst wearing it as it just creates a sticky horrible mess for the both of you.

Overall I wouldnt recommend it, especaially for the price - but then I am not a fan of any lipgloss so my opinion is slightly biased in that way. If you dont mind the stickiness of lip gloss then im sure this one would be great as they do shimmer nicely and also taste and smell nice and are also quite long lasting on your lips, however they are just not for me.

            Disadvantages

A decent lip gloss from Soap & Glory.

When it comes to applying make-up there are two features of my face that I concentrate on; eyes and lips. I like to have big eyes with lots of eye liner and mascara and lips that are smooth, protected and pumped up in appearance to within an inch of their life. I am willing to use lip gloss, lip balm or lipstick in my quest to get lovely lips and when I spotted a 3 for 2 on Soap & Glory products I decided to pick up this lip gloss and two other products too for just over £15.00. This lip gloss is £9.00 on its own in Boots or you can use 900 advantage card points to get one of these for free.

This lip gloss is advertised as helping explode the volume of your lips by 10x. This is something that really appealed to me as I love having big, full, kissable looking lips when I am on nights out with my husband. There are six different flavours available at present with each having a different scent to it and I picked up the candy gloss one which is flavoured with vanilla and is a light pink lip gloss. This has iridescent flecks within it too to give my lips that shimmery look. This lip gloss is also advertised as containing a rare circulation enhancing ingredient that gives your lips an 'electric' buzz to move more blood around the area and therefore create the swelling you need for pumped up lips.

This lip gloss is 7ml in quantity and is has a wand for easy application. The wand is built in to the handle of the lip gloss for easy application and when I remove the wand there is an ample amount of lip gloss on the wand to apply to my lips. I never need to pump this wand to re-apply the lip gloss as one wipe across my lips is always enough for me. This lip gloss is almost clear in appearance and the little iridescent shimmery flecks look nice and bring a little extra to my lips. My lips are shiny and shimmery when wearing this lip gloss and the 'electric' buzz is noticeable almost instantly. I sometimes apply this to my nude lips or sometimes on the top of lipstick and this gloss brings a fantastic look to my make-up. I really feel that my lips look very pretty when wearing this and the lip gloss stays for a good hour or so before I need to re-apply. I like how shimmery this is as it makes it ideal for a night out with my husband or with friends. There is a lovely sweet smell and taste to the vanilla one that I have and I really love vanilla so this is a huge plus point for me. This lip gloss is a little sticky and my hair can get stuck to it, however I have come to expect that of lip gloss now and so it doesn't stop me from using it.

I love that this is quite long lasting so I don't have to keep nipping off to the ladies or whip out my compact to re-apply, it is long lasting even after eating and drinking with some still remaining even after kissing my husband too. By the end of an evening out I have probably re-applied 3 or 4 times and this is fantastic as in the past I've worn cheaper lip glosses that seem to wear off almost instantly. I would say that the results I receive in terms of pumping up my lips are worth 3/5 maybe. My lips do look bigger but they are definitely not pumped up 10x in volume so it doesn't live up to its claims. I like the tingly feeling that comes from using this as it is quite nice and I do feel like my lips are bigger even without looking at them in the mirror constantly. I feel extra confident after wearing this lip gloss as my lips feel bigger and look slightly bigger too which is definitely a confidence booster for me. I love the shine of this lip gloss and the longevity of it, I am going to rate it 4/5 because while my lips were not increased in volume as much as it stated they would be I received a confidence boost, got some pretty lips and it was long lasting too!

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

A plumping lip gloss for those fuller lips without the needles!

I do not have very big lips - tiny lips in fact! I have tried other lip pumping glosses! Those with Cinnamon extract and other ideas that were advertised. They all made my lips look glossy but nothing really significant on the plumping front!!

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss was bought for me as a Christmas present and I have to say I love it! I have heard that some people can have a reaction to the special formula making you look like a clown rather than Angelina Jolie but it hasn't happened to me! So maybe would be worth trying on a day when you are not going out, not just before a big night out - to be on the safe side!!
Soap & Glory pride themselves on not testing products on animals, instead they only use 'very picky people'.

The one thing I noticed about the lip gloss was it is quite dry and sticky rather than rich and glossy like some. Do not be put off by this! The dry texture does stop smudging and it seems to stay on your lips longer, even after drinking.
Soap and Glory boast a new extreme formula lip plumping gloss. The product works scientifically rather than just visibly! Rather than make your lips LOOK bigger, the gloss actually MAKES your lips bigger.

With scientifically proven plumping superfill microspheres, a small spherical partical. These microspheres increase in volume up to 10x when they come in contact with the water, just like sponges absorb water in a bath tub! So your lips are full of water from your body. No harmful injections or chemicals just bodily fluids! Sounds revolting but I think its quite cool!

When you apply to the lip you will not notice anything immediately. The small applicator makes it easy to apply even without a mirror! Within a few minutes, depending on how thick you have applied it, you will start to notice a tingling in your lips. It isn't an unpleasant tingle but it does get quite intense at times . It starts to feel cold and then tingles, at times even tickling. But you can feel your lips almost growing.

When on the lips you will taste a nice vanilla fragrance ( mine is vanilla fragranced anyhow!) The colour I have is Perfect Peach - a very natural shade of pink which can be used every day! Other shades available include Plum Juice, Half Naked and Baby Doll. It is also available in clear to use over your favourite lipstick! All of the colours are quite natural - nothing too intense!
The lip glosses come in 7ml tubes and once opened should be used within 12 months! I have to admit I have had mine a year now and it is getting a bit cloggy now!

I have only ever seen this in Boots but you can probably buy it in other places depending on where you live. Prices seem to be around £8 for one lip gloss or you can get a triple pack of 5ml tubes for around £17
              Happy Plumping!

DO NOT CONFUSE THIS ITEM WITH THE NEW 'S & G' XL PLUMPING LIPGLOSS. IF I CAN GET HOLD OF THIS ILL REVIEW IT LATER!

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

A lip gloss which isn't bad but doesn't live up to claims.

Like most girls, I love big lips. My lips aren't small but they're not particularly big either, I would certainly like them to be fuller. I was shopping in Boots when I spotted a lip gloss from Soap and Glory called 'Sexy Mother Pucker'.

The lip gloss was alleged to contain 'Superfill lip plumping spheres' and claimed to 'swell up to TEN TIMES when you apply them'. Sexy Mother Pucker is also said to contain 'Lipswell Volume Boost Technology' which apparently 'adds serious plumping power to your pout'. I was rather excited by these claims so chose a colour and put it in my basket. Sexy Motherpucker cost £9.00 which is probably more than I would usually spend on a lip gloss but I thought it was a fair price to pay if it actually did what it said on the tin (or tube in this case!). The lip gloss comes in a 7ml tube with a wand to apply (and packaged in a cute retro inspired cardboard packaging - the only way Soap and Glory know how).

There are 6 different 'super colours' to choose from - Punchbowl, Clear, Candy Gloss, Pink Apricot, Yummy Plum and Half Naked. Each colour has a different flavour (chocolate orange, popcorn etc). I went for Candy Gloss which is a light pink colour with tiny flecks of shimmer and vanilla scent. When applied to my lips the colour looks almost clear but the shimmery glittery bits make them look very pretty, especially when the light hits them. It is quite a neutral shade that I expect could be worn by most people. This is great for daytimes but when I want brighter lips (for nights out etc) I apply my usual lipsticks underneath and apply the lip gloss on top - it makes my lipstick more 'juicy' and I can still feel the effects of the lip gloss. It smells/tastes good too, it's very sweet.

One thing which I wasn't too keen on when I first tried this lip gloss was that it's very sticky. I feel quite uncomfortable wearing sticky lip glosses, however I usually dab some Vaseline over the top and it becomes a lot more comfortable. On the upside the lip gloss seems to last for absolutely ages - it wears off slightly quicker if I eat and drink, but otherwise it stays on for a long time and I have no need to reapply every five minutes.

As far as the lip plumping/swelling goes, well it's not great unfortunately. I only have to dip the wand once to cover my whole lips. Once the lip gloss has been applied you begin to feel the 'effects' after a few seconds - it feels very strange (especially if you haven't used lip plumping products before) and tingly. It certainly feels like it's working - the first few times I used it I was walking around thinking I had massive balloon lips but when I looked in the mirror they hadn't actually changed in size! I find that lip glosses in general tend to make your lips look slightly fuller (as they look more shiney and defined I suppose) and this lip gloss was no different.

I have been using my tube of Sexy Mother Pucker for the past couple of months, almost daily, and I still appear to have lots left.

Overall I would say Sexy Mother Pucker is 'okay'. It definitely doesn't live up to it's exaggerated claims but it makes me feel like I have fuller lips (even if I don't) and the shade is very nice - I love my juicy Mother Puckin' lips!

Soap and Glory do not test on animals and you can buy Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss at Boots, Harvey Nichols or online.

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

Worth a buy, but (like I did) don't expect huge lips

This Soap and Glory product has a lovely wooden packaging, so quirky and cool, with the lip gloss in a small silver tube in the middle. I have been looking FOREVER for a lip gloss within my price range that claims to swell your lips. I have a total attraction to girls with fat, swollen lips and would get surgery if I could afford it. This obviously isn't a substitute for surgery and didn't really reach my expectations, though in all fairness I won't be satisfied until I have Lana Del Rey lips.

I got the product in a clear shade, but what really surprised me was the taste. It's very chocolatey tasting, very much in contrast to its clear colour and such. The packaging promises that your lips will start to tingle and swell immediately, but this certainly wasn't the case for me. I had to wait a good 2 or 3 minutes before I felt the product begin to swell and even then it took a few more minutes to build up to the point where I could really feel my lips tingling. The sensation is so odd, like your lips are being tickled, almost.

In all honesty, the product doesn't really work. I noticed no massive change in the size or shape of my lips. It is very sticky and requires a coat of vaseline/carmex/another lipgloss over the top to be worn comfortably. HOWEVER the product certainly gives a lovely shiny coat to the lips, tastes lovely, is easy to slip into a purse/handbag and does act, almost like a placebo. Even though my lips didn't look any fatter, they felt more swollen and that was what I hoped to achieve.

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

Definitely not for me - this product can puck off!

I have used Soap & Glory products for a few years now and have had varying success with them. In general I really life the brand - I think their quirky humour and affordable price draw me in and I am always keen to try new products in their range. I think because they are affordable and you can often find them on money saving deals if something doesn't suit me then I am still happy to return and try something else because there are a few quality products I absolutely love from this range. They also feel indulgent, a cheaper version of Benefit I suppose, and help me to feel like I am treating myself without breaking the bank!

This product is something I purchased for myself on a little bit a whim. I have used similar limp pumping products in the past and either found them incredibly painful or distinctly underwhelming. I don't think I particularly need lip plumping and it isn't something I am insecure about. However, it is a nice thing to have for a night out and if you can combine the lip plumping properties with a great lip gloss then why not?

The product is described as having 'lip plumping spheres' (whatever those are) that swell up to ten times bigger when you apply them. I am a sucker for fancy technology I don't really understand so I thought I might as well try it and see if this was a good product or not. I chose the clear colour - although there are several other lovely shades - as I wanted to be able to use it over lip tints which I generally prefer to a coloured lip gloss or lipstick. I also thought it might be useful as a subtle hint of gloss for a nude lip for everyday use as I don't wear lip colours all that often. The other four shades are really nice though and if this product appealed then I always thought I could invest in another colour once I had tried the clear gloss.

The gloss comes in a cardboard box synonymous with the Soap & Glory brand. I have always liked how easily identifiable their products are, with the quirky sense of humour, bright pink colour and retro black and white images. The box was visually appealing, although this isn't necessarily important as it only ends up in the bin! The instructions on the reverse are clear and the spiel sounds very convincing. The tube itself is a lovely black lacquer with swirly pink writing on the side. The tube twists open and out comes a white applicator with a slanted spongy end to use on your lips. The design is fairly standard and is obviously chosen because it works well - no gimmicks just a nicely designed and packaged lip gloss. As you pull out the applicator it makes a rather exciting pop sound as it is released from the tube. The applicator part of the stick is a good size and shape and makes for easy application to your lips. Generally I prefer a brush lip gloss but that is just personal preference - this is a perfectly good sponge applicator.

The lip gloss has a rather distinctive chocolate orange smell which I can't say I particularly enjoyed. It smells very sweet and a little insipid with a citrusy kick which I wouldn't really associate with lip gloss. I would rather it was scentless because I found the smell a little over-powering and it detracted from my enjoyment of the product. The gloss itself is also rather thick and gloopy and this also was immediately unappealing for me. If I am going to use a gloss I like something really light and as unsticky as is possible. However, the consistency of this gloss was very thick and sticky and rather unpleasant to apply or wear.

The plumping effect didn't take hold immediately for me. There was a slight tingling on my lips, and if like me you have an unfortunate tendency to lick your lips then you'll find your tongue begins to tingle too. I thought at the very least that the gloss might be working, unusual to find a product that tingles for no reason so I felt it must be pumping my lips. However, I found the gloss had very little effect on the plumpness of my lips and was simply uncomfortable to use. I did return to it a couple of times in case I had missed a trick but found the same underwhelming and itchy results every time.

As you can imagine I won't be recommending this any time soon. My experience of the product beyond the packaging was entirely unpleasant and not something I wish to revisit. If the gloss has achieved one of the two things I hoped for it, either a nice look or good plumping effect, I might have been able to forgive it some flaws. However, this product achieved neither of the things it has set out to do and for that I do not see myself purchasing it again.

In terms of price I paid roughly £9.00 for a 7ml tube which I think is generally reasonable for a quality lip gloss. This product is certainly not quality though so I think the price is far too steep. I can't comment on how long the gloss lasts for because I haven't used it since but for a gloss this size I would imagine it could last anything between 6 months and a year - depending on how often you use it.

Overall? I am thoroughly disappointed but I think finding an awful product in what is generally a good range is part of the experience of using an affordable brand so I can't be too angry.

Soap & Glory's new, extreme formula lip plumping gloss, with intelligent plumping superfill microspheres that explode in volume up to 10x when they come in contact with the water / They're like tiny, dehydrated little sponges that expand when you put them onto your lips /
