The product is super cheap which is great and the brush is amazing for winged liner and getting thin lines but it just doesnt hold at all! The colour is not bold enough and it seems to burn a bit too.
Winged eyeliner is staple in my daily makeup routine, and has been for a very long time. There isn't a day that goes by when I don't wear it - it's versatile, wearable and effective for any look, day or night. That being said, eyeliner runs out quickly. I've tried multiple liners, both drugstore and high end, and I can genuinely say I find myself reaching for this over all my others. The quality for the price is second to none, and I use this interchangeably with my MAC Fluidline.
MUA products are fantastic considering they're so cheap, and have a great colour selection. I usually find myself purchasing higher end products when budget allows, but I have to say every product I've tried I haven't been disappointed with - in particular this eyeliner. The colours are very intense and it has a very fine tip, great for creating precise lines. The colour can sometimes become slightly patchy on application, however this is easily fixed with a few more coats. I've found it's lasted all day consistently, sometimes calling for reapplication in parts, but this is slight. I've worn this for events multiple times, and safe to say it's never let me down, to my pleasant surprise.
Overall, this eyeliner is a win-win. It does its job, looks great, and most definitely won't put you out of pocket. It's compact, so is easily transported (for handbags!) and takes up zero room in your makeup bag. Very pleased with this product, and I've repurchased multiple times. 5/5
So, i have a huge addiction to makeup. I am forever spending my cash on new makeup and beauty products to buy. I rarely leave the house without my face on, and i never feel ready for my day ahead unless my eye makeup is perfectly applied.
My eyeliner is a go to product which i use on a daily basis.
MUA has always been a favorite high street makeup brand for me. It is one of the cheapest at many items costing less than 2 pound, but the quality is fantastic for the price.
I decided to try the eyeliner as it was coming to the end of the month and pay day hadnt arrived and i didn't have the 18 pound i usually spend on eyeliner to splash out on . So i decided to give this eyeliner a try. I wasn't surprised as i use many products from MUA. The eyeliner is fantastic for the price. The eyeliner applied perfectly to my eye. The brush was small enough to get the perfect thin line for a natural look for work, and easy enough to build up for thicker winged eye for the evening.
It doesn't budge at all unless its removed with eye makeup remover.
I really recommend this eyeliner. For the bargain price of a pound you cant go wrong and it shall definitely be my go to liquid eyeliner from now on.
I don't care what I'm doing or wear I'm going I have to apply some kind of makeup in the morning to make myself feel ready for the day. If I have nothing planned for that day eyeliner and mascara will suffice so I normally go through quite a lot of this. One liquid eyeliner I've been using recently is this Make Up Academy, MUA for short, one.
MUA is a makeup brand that usually offers good quality makeup items at a cheaper price to most other brands. I buy my MUA products from my local Superdrug. This liquid eyeliner only cost me £1.
The eyeliner comes inside a little pot that is just under an inch tall, it is then made up with the lid of the pot (which is also the handle) that makes it quite tall as the lid in itself is a few inches high. The lid curves nicely down the shaft and ends up in a square shape matching perfectly to the main pot. After unscrewing the lid you will come across the applicator attached to the lid. The applicator is a couple of centimetres long so it fits into the pot well without banging the bottom.
To apply the liquid eyeliner you simply pull the applicator out of the pot, brush the end against the side to remove any excess liquid then apply. I've got quite a steady hand at applying liquid eyeliner now, I only apply it to my upper lids though as I prefer pencil on my lower lids. I pull my eye out at the side then draw a line across. The good thing about the applicator for this eyeliner is that it really is very small. I normally start my line quite thin towards the inner part of my eye than get thicker as I come towards the outer side. This thin applicator means it's a doddle at getting the thin line at the start and I can just tilt the applicator a little to get a thicker line as I go across.
Once the eyeliner has been applied, I find it takes a minute or two to dry completely without having to worry about it smudging. It's a little bit longer than other brands I have used but it isn't a problem for me. Once it's applied and dried, I find the eyeliner lasts well throughout the day and it doesn't smudge or run in any way. It's not totally waterproof but I've worn it in showery weather without any disasters of panda eyes.
I'd definitely recommend this MUA liquid eyeliner if you are after a budget purchase. At only £1, it's amazing value for money. It stays well, easy to apply, and is a tad waterproof.
With Christmas coming up last year I was in dire need in my mind of needing some new make-up, well thats what I told myself anyway but on a very limited budget with not long moving into my new home and needing to buy so many gifts for others until I stumbled across this range I thought I was doomed not to treat and revamp myself at all! However this range in Superdrug cost mainly a pound for most items at the time and the range consisted of mascara's, eyeshadows, lipsticks....well allsorts really and one of the items that also cost a pound was this liquid eyeliner.
In this range I found four colours, a couple of blue ones, a gold coloured one and a black one and the colour I opted for was the black as that is the colour that I tend to use the most.
This comes in a little see-through plastic tube with a long screw on/off plastic lid to which the lid is actually the same colour as the colour you opt for. Down the side of it we are simply told in silver lettering what it is and who it is by and then down the other side contact details for the manufacturer are given. Within the lid there is a long thin plastic 'wand' and to the end of that a very small but good quality thin brush. Nice enough, simple packaging this is and I feel for a pound you get quite a decent looking and sized product for the money you pay.
The Eyeliner Itself:
Well as mentioned this is a liquid eyeliner, twist open the lid and you pull out the brush and out it comes evenly coated with the none drippy or lumpy colour. I was and still am very impressed with the very jet black colour this is and all your left to do is line your eyes with it.
I was initially worried by the brush being so small however the size of this brush makes it easy to apply the eyeliner with as I have total control and me I work from the outer corner of my eyes to the inside which basically takes me a couple of sweeps and no dipping in the tube as a little of this goes a very long way indeed. It dries fast, doesn't iritate my sensitive eyes and is just really simple to apply. I can't feel it on, it doesn't smudge and removes easily with my own make up removing routine.
It isn't waterproof as such though it is splash proof like nipping out and getting caught in a bit of rain is fine though I wouldn't watch a weepy movie or go swimming in it to be honest.
I like the ease of use with this and the results it gives me and although I have used this very often since Christmas it hasn't dried out or ran out and I still have plenty left!
This is a really good budget buy and so really easy to use and I can really recommend this one highly, its even great for beginners!
Only available from Superdrug and Superdrug.com priced at only a pound a tube!

Being fair skinned, i dont usually wear a lot of dark eye shadows or any eyeliner really, and after a friend introduced me to it, i have struggled to get a nice thin and clean line. More like a thick penciling of black that to be fair makes me look like wednesday out of the addams family!
Anyway, i thought id try a liquid eyeliner that wasnt going to cost me a lot of money, so the Make up Acadomy range at a mere £1 per product seemed the right place to start. So, i bought this for a pound from the superdrug website (with free delivery!) and began to experiment.
The eyeliner base is square with a pencil like tip/handle, which unscrews to allow you to use the product. The packaging is a black plastic and the words the written in a metallic silver. MUA - stands for the brand. Very light, and no more than about 10 cm long , perfect to fit in your handbag for any re-application you may want or need.
when unscrewing the product, you reveal a plastic tube with a brush/tip that is almost like a tiny tipped paintbrush. The end has a tiny diameter and this brush curves to a slight banana shape (well mine does anyway). This is what i think the success of the product is.
To apply i start mid way along and work outwards, and then work my way back in towards my tear duct. It works well with one stroke, not really needing to dip for further product and providing you stick to using the tip of the brush, the lines stay thin and crisp.
I have been unfortunate and in a rush, used too much of the brush, leading to a thicker line, but i think it is practice really.
I apply before mascara and after eye shadow, and the coverage is long lasting. I have not found any ill effect at all. All i will say though is after a legnth of time (3-4 hrs) i have noticed a small amount of cracking on the eye liner. Perfect for a night out, but i wouldnt wear it if i was not reapplying the product all day.
All in all though, a real bargain! Definately worth a try.
