      Disadvantages

Not the best of eyeshadows - and not one for me - sorry

=Collection 2000 Trio Eye shadows= The trio collection is from the Collection 2000, cosmetic range. There are a selection of ranges, the one I used was a blue combination, which had a deep blue, baby blue and a white. =Why Collection 2000= I usually end putting my make -up nag in my suitcase for holidays, and after a previous holiday when my expensive eye shadows were loose powder rather than the compact powder as they were, I decided to look for some cheaper range, and I could leave it here. =Price= I found my eye shadow in Pound land, this was the only colour combination available, but for £1, it was going to do the job. =Trio= Each trio is presented in a dark blue compact, giving it a more expensive feel, there is a small clear section in the lid so you can see the colour way you are purchasing. In the set was a double ended applicator. Each compact is 5grams of eyeshadow. =The packaging= The packaging is simple and easy to open, the eye shadows are easy to get to, the only downfall was that I would have liked a small element of a mirror in the lid. =Easy to apply= The eye shadow was easy to apply, one end of the applicator has a larger piece of foam, which is idea for the lower lid, whilst the thinner piece of great for the shadow and fill in. On the packaging it says it is crease proof and lasts up to 8 hours. =Where they for me= In all honestly they were not the best, I felt that I was applying three of four applications to get some depth of colour and as for lasting 8 hours, that was not the case for me I was lucky if they lasted 4 hours and that was being generous. After the 4th night I just gave up with them, they were more trouble that they were worth. =Rescue= The only rescue is that I have naturally long eyelashes so by using a good mascara this beings the attention to my lashes rather than my eyes. =Would I buy again= No sorry they were not for me, and I would not buy them again, I would rather take a risk at my normal eye shadows getting broke.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

not as intense as I would have liked

~Trio Eyeshadow~ This trio eyeshadow is part of the Collection 2000 cosmetic range. There are a number of colour combinations on offer including Rain Forest (black, lime green and yellow) and Caspian (silver, blue and grey). Collection 2000 claim that these eyeshadows will last up to 8 hours and is crease resistent. It is also fragrance free. Each trio is presented in a simple, dark blue compact which is slim in design. The compact has a small clear panel displaying the three shades inside. A double ended applicator is also included. ~Where To Buy~ Each compact has 5g worth of eyeshadow. This is a relatively cheap product to buy if you know where to look. It can sometimes be found in Poundland/Poundworld but for a wider selection of colours, you would be best have a search online. Amazon stock a wide range of trio eyeshadows priced from 75p. A smaller selection is available from www.fragrancedirect.co.uk priced at 99p. ~My Thoughts~ As a teenager, I was quite fond of the Collection 2000 range. This was mainly down to how purse friendly it was! I still often buy cheaper cosmetics to bulk out my beauty range but do favour Dior and Chanel when funds allow for it! Anyway, I bought this eyeshadow trio last year and use it occasionally. I have compact 28 - Aphrodite. The packaging is perfectly simple and appears to be durable. The lid flips open fully and all three shades of eyeshadow are accessible. I opted for this particular shade combination as they are shades that I wear most often. Included in this trio is a lovely baby blue, a deep blue and a white shade. Each shade compliments the other perfectly. The little applicator supplied is perfectly fine and does the job. It has a larger piece of soft foam at one side which is perfect for the applying the eyeshadow all over the eyelid and a smaller piece of foam at the other side which is best suited for a neater application or to get into the corners of the eyelid. I personally prefer to use my own, professional brushes when applying my eyeshadow at home but do make use of the provided applicator if taking this compact away from home. This eyeshadow is very easy to apply. Skimming the applicator over the surface of the eyeshadow encourages a fine powder to be loosened and transferred onto the brush. The colour intensity of each shade isn't very high and it does take quite a few applications to build up a noticeable colour. The white and baby blue for example, are barely noticeable on my eyelids with just one or two applications. The darker blue looks like a pale blue with one application and again, a few sweeps are needed for a desirable and noticeable colour. I find that these eyeshadows blend well with each other though they aren't my favourite eyeshadows to use as a trio. Whenever I do choose to use them together, I apply the darker shade as the base and then build it up with the other two shades. The finish with a few applications is really nice - smooth and neat. The colour looks good and subtle. Combined with a slick of eyeliner and a sweep of mascara, my eyes are highlighted well and do not look overdone. The main downside of this eyeshadow is the longevity. Of course the eyeshadow is quite light at first anyway but it does fade quickly and needs topped up regularly. I never really have anything left to remove at the end of the day. Whilst on my eyelids, these eyeshadows remain in place with no mess or fall out. My eyes have never became irritated through use of this eyeshadow. ~Conclusion~ The quality of these eyeshadows isn't amazing. They do provide a subtle colour to my eyelids and there is a good selection of shades on offer but the colour doesn't last long at all. I don't like waste so tend to use these eyeshadows when I am just out and about rather than for special occasions. I opt for longer lasting, more expensive eyeshadows for other occasions. I would say that these eyeshadows are perfect for younger girls wishing to experiment on a low budget. I wouldn't buy again though as they don't have the same appeal as they used to a few years ago. Thanks for reading :)

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        An average trio of eyeshadows

When it comes to eye-shadows I tend to be one who goes for the more neutral shades during the day and then if out on the evening I do become a bit more adventurous and opt for a deeper, more daring shade. Generally I like deep plums or greys and have a variety of different brands. On a long weekend away to Newcastle to visit my partner's family I forgot my make up bag and dashed out to the nearest Boots to buy a few supplies as with two nights out planned I was not going to go out barefaced! Wanting to keep it as cheap as possible I opted for a few of the Collection 2000 brands, one of which being the trio eye-shadow and I opted for the grey shades as these would be most suitable for a night out. Collection 2000 is a budget range of cosmetics available in stores such as Boots and Superdrug. They have a wide range of make up products giving a lot of choice for everyone. Although not a favourite brand of mine I have used a few of their products on and off and found them to be quite ok. == The Eye-shadow == The trio of eye-shadows are meant to give 8 hours solid of crease free and fade free colour. There are a number of shades to choose from ranging from the more neutral tones to the deeper plum and greys. == Packaging == The trio of eye-shadows come in a rectangular clear plastic case which has a lid that goes up and down allowing you to get to the eye-shadows easily. They do come complete with a small applicator which is actually quite handy especially if on the go like I was. Packaging on the whole is basic and simple but it serves the purpose well and you can clearly see which shade you have bought. == In Use == The trio of eye-shadows I bought was in the grey shade, so the darkest is a very deep grey (almost black), the next is grey and the third is a very pale grey almost with a slight silver hue to it. Now my main intention when buying this particular eye-shadow (not just because I needed it!) was that I wanted to be able to blend to get a lovely smokey look. To apply the eye-shadow it goes on no differently as to any other powdered eye-shadow and the applicator that it comes with is more then capable of doing the job. I did find that when applying the power can become quite loose which falls onto the top of your cheek or just under the eyelashes and of course the case it sits in also becomes quite powdery. I found with the eye-shadow that it coped well with just using one colour but even then you did need to blend it with the tip of your finger to give a more natural look rather than a definitive line between the eye-shadow and your skin on the eyelid but this was hardly a problem as long as you rectified it! But what I did find difficult was being able to blend the shades together and found that it took a while to get a more subtle sultry look if you get my meaning, one that doesn't look like you've been punched in the eye. After finally get the result I wanted (well 95% of the result!) I found that the eye-shadow does last long once applied but after a few hours it does start to look a little worn, like it could do with a touch up. It doesn't however crease which is definitely a good thing. It is also easily removed with a make up wipe or eye make up remover which is definitely a plus. However, given that it is quite a cheap eye-shadow I do wonder if used long term whether it would irritate the eyes. == Overall == This eye-shadow came in useful as a quick buy and didn't break the bank. However, I wouldn't buy it again simply because there are better alternatives out there which may cost a little more but are definitely better quality. It can be tricky to get a nice smokey look with this eye-shadow but the colour does last. However, due to the fact it isn't the best quality I can only give it 4 stars and would recommend only if you are on a budget. == Product Information == Brand: Collection 2000 Price: From £3.50 Availability: Boots, Superdrug etc

Another great product from collection 2000

When my local chemist was relocating a while back they were selling off all their make-up items as they were no longer going to be advertised in the new shop. There were a couple of make- up items which I had never heard of then there was the collection 2000 stuff. By the time I realised about the sale there wasn't much left but I did manage to pick up a few eye shadow trios for 50p each. The product comes in a clear compact which displays the collection 2000 logo. The colours of the eye shadow can be seen through the lid so you know exactly what colour you're buying. The compact also comes complete with a double ended make-up applicator brush. The shades I bought were lush, Aphrodite and steel ice. All the colours I managed to get have more or less the same toning with being cool colour colours but they are the colours I would have gone for anyways. The eye shadow promises that it is crease resistant and it will have a lasting effect for up to 8 hours. Collection 2000 colours are very high in pigments and always provide a very deep shade that is in no way subtle. The eye shadow also has a shimmering effect too which makes it ideal for night time use for blending. The eye shadow has changed a fair bit since the picture and again since I have purchased mine and there are also a few different shades to choose from now. These include: Golden nugget Cookie dough Lemon tropics Silver storm Sand castle Fondant fancy Waterfall There are shades to suit everyone and for about 3-4 pound you can't go wrong. Another great collection 2000 product.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Fantastic budget beauty product that is compact and great for one look in one hit.

For those of you who have been reading my reviews (And may I think you for doing so) you will see that I am somewhat beauty product obsessed. I can't help myself. Now, this means that when I am home I have amassed quite the collection and you will find me, rocking out to some Ella Fitzgerald brushes stuck in my hair, powder puffing and a bunch of products slowly being moved from my tidy collection to just about ever available surface (And I can still be ready in 10 mins!) However, saying this, sometimes it's just not appropriate, time worthy or space worthy to do this. I travel a lot and have had to learn to adapt to my needs. I am typically a fan of pressed colour palettes for my eyes anyway and would preference them over loose colour pots purely out of ease of use, especially when I am travelling - Now, along with this I needed something that was cheap and space saving (especially when working to a travelling budget!) The product itself with my opinion for good measure: The Collection 2000 colour trio comes in at a very reasonable price (under £3 when I purchased it) and provides you with just about everything you need to complete an entire eye look. The one I used is 3 Fusion (Well, I am assuming this is the name) and consists of a pale pinky colour, a darker brown and a purple shade that falls somewhere between the two: although Collection 2000 have a huge range of colours to select from. So what does this give you? Well. In affect you have your liner, your colour and your highlighter. The product comes packaged in a blue plastic palette with an applicator included (Applicator is useful, double ended with a thick pad for base colour and a thin pad for lining, although it is quite tiny so not great if you struggle holding small things) You have a clear plastic window at the front which means when you are trying to pick the one you want to don't have to waste time opening each one to check. Collection 2000 claim that this product lasts up to 8 hours and is crease resistant, and I am inclined to agree with it lasting but would hesitate over the crease resistant statement - I found this only to be the case when I applied a proper primer. For a cheap, easy to use, one look in one compact I would definitely recommend you check out this range (They have loads of other products too) Now, I'm not going to be throwing away everything but this does give you everything you need in one hit. For further information, and to check out other products in the companies range why not check out their website at www.collection2000.co.uk. And see what you think of these great budget beauty hits!

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

The product gives nice results they just don't last for very long!

I recently found one of these eyeshadow trio products in the bottom of one of my make-up bags for products I don't really use. I have no idea where it came from and have no recollection of buying it (I'm assuming I got it Christmas or something at some point and decided I would never use it) so I can't say how much I paid for it or where I got it from. Although it appears these are around the £2 mark so not too bad. I decided to try it out last night. It is the 'eclipse' shade. A light grey, dark grey and black. I thought it would do the trick in creating the smoky eyes effect which I love. To be honest, it was alright. I didn't really have any expectations when applying it but I relatively pleased. The shades were nice and worked well together, I did really liked the colour scheme. The eyeshadow was easy to get onto the eyeshadow brush and was lovely to work with. A gentle rub against my eyelid was all that was needed to apply it to my skin. I took a couple of layers to get it dark enough though, they colours were very pale with just layer. The light grey was white, the dark grey was light grey and the black was dark grey. But I often give my eyeshadow a couple of layers anyway so I wasn't too put off with that and it did come up nicely in the end. When I had completed my look I was rather pleased, it did look nice and I envisioned myself wearing this eyeshadow all the time, going out and looking for colour schemes. However, about an hour later when I caught my reflection in a mirror and realised it had all faded massively I was disappointed. I'm not one for touching up my make-up, I put it on once and that's it for the day so this did bother me quite a lot. I can see why this was hidden away and forgotten about! There are definitely better eyeshadows on the market for a similar price and I would recommend going for those instead.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Surprisingly high quality for a fantastic low price.

Collection 2000 are a budget make-up brand and I have been using them ever since I first started buying make-up as a teenager. I am a sucker for a bargain and just can't resist the low prices of these products. I have always been fond of the eye shadow compacts, and usually buy the neutral trio palette. I came across this eye shadow trio when shopping online at www.fragrancedirect.co.uk. They currently have this trio available in a choice of 5 different colour ways, and they have been reduced from RRP £2.99 to just 99p! £2.99 is a bargain in the first place but for just 99p I couldn't pass this up. Each eye shadow trio contains three different shades that complement each other and can be worn together or separately. I selected the "Rain Forest" collection, which shifts from light to medium to dark shades. This makes it very versatile as you can be creative with your blending and create a variety of different looks with this handy little compact set. Product description: + Silky Smooth & Crease Resistant + Lasts Up To 8 Hours + Fragrance Free This eye shadow set comes in a clear plastic compact which has a hinged lid. Inside the three eye shadows are set into separate sections of the tray and there is also a space for a small brush. This set includes a double-headed sponge applicator. The packaging is neat and tidy, and I like the clear plastic as you can see through it and get a good clear view of the colours without faffing around and having to remove the lid first. This eye shadow is in pressed powder format and can be applied with a brush or your fingertips, and blended to ensure a smooth finish. The sponge applicator is a little too small to be able to handle properly, and it feels scratchy against my skin. I use it when I'm applying my make-up away from home, but prefer to use my own proper eye shadow brush with soft bristles. The colour builds up evenly and goes on smoothly without spreading or smudging, although it does have a bit of a dry and crumbly consistency that can end up spilling off the eye lids and down onto the cheeks when applying. I picked the Rain Forest trio as I liked the look of the shades together and though it would be a nice compact set that I could use for a variety of looks. Green is my favourite colour and this set has three lovely shades that are all different but complementary. The top shade is a bright and fresh shade of green, with a yellow tone to it. I would describe this as a spring green, and it's perfect for the season we're in now! This can be used as a base colour, or for a flash of colour to highlight your eyes. The middle shade is a dark, flat shade of green that I would describe as a pine colour. This may sound unusual for an eye make up colour, but it looks great when worn in combination with the other shades, as it creates a nice dark shadow that blends in well and is perfect for contouring along the socket line of the eyes. I usually wear this along the crease and the socket of my eye, and blend it in over one of the other colours used as a base. The bottom shade is my favourite as it is the middle shade and is very versatile. It is a khaki colour green, but it looks lovely on the skin and does not look dull or dingy like you might expect. I have had great fun experimenting with these different shades of green and creating different looks with them. I think that the colours really stand out against my pale skin colour, and they draw attention to my dark brown eyes as the greens are flattering colours that make my eyes look wider and brighter. The eye shadow has fabulous staying power. I have used it with and without eye primers, and it has performed exceptionally well for something from a budget range. It does not crease throughout the day, and it stays in place perfectly. The only time I have noticed any slight wear or creasing to it is after a good 12 hours or so, which is better than a lot of the more expensive brands out there! Apart from the initial fallout dust when first applying, this eye shadow does not budge all day. This is a nice compact and I would certainly continue to buy their eye shadow trios in the future. The packaging is well designed, although I am not fond of the sponge applicator brush as this is a bit uncomfortable to use. I am thoroughly pleased with the long lasting effect that I get when wearing this eye shadow and the different shades of green are gorgeous. For 99p you really can't go wrong and I would recommend this to other make-up lovers, it's surprisingly high quality for a fantastic low price.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

Great for experimenting but little else.

I brought this little trio as I was staying at my boyfriends and had forgotten my eyeshadow and not wanting to fork out for one as I had a different full one at home I brought this. I paid around £1.99 for it from Superdrug. They also stock the Collection 2000 range in Boots as well as online and you can pick it up for as cheap at 59p from Fragrance Direct. It came in a range of different colors such as pinks, pastels, purples, greens, blacks and silvers, blues and the one I brought the brown coloured trio which contained a goldy colour, a taupe/mink colour and a cream. I thought they looked like great colors and I wasn't particularly fussed if they weren't going to be amazing. The packaging isn't great and I believe they have changed this now to a clear case but for the price I paid I wasn't too fussed. The one I brought was a little navy blue box with a space for an included applicator at the bottom. Now I find applicators useless to apply eyeshadow with and I didn't even bother trying so I applied mine with a few different brushes. The pigment in these isn't very strong at all and it did take me a while to achieve the desired effect that I wanted. On the Collection 2000 website it states to be "Long lasting 8-hour wear. Crease resistant for a fresh faced look that lasts" I'm not sure I whole heartedly agree with all of this. I do agree that it is crease free and it does go on lovely and smooth but it definitely didn't last the 8 hours that it states. Mine lasted just a few hours which was a little bit of a disappointment. Overall I think it would be great for younger girls for experimenting with different makeups as it is not pricey and comes in a good range of colours. For the price it did the job but don't expect miracles out of it.

You get what you pay for.

I don't usually but Collection 2000 makeup, but one day, on impulse, I bought a trio of eyeshadows in Boots for around £2.50. *** Packaging and availability *** These eyeshadows come in a blue container and you flip the plastic lid up on top of the shadows to gain access to the product. As well as the three different shades of eyeshadow, there's also an applicator which fits in a compartment below the trio. This product is available in Boots, Superdrug and in a number of the major supermarkets. *** Why did I buy this item? *** My little trio contained one white, one sparkly black and one grey eyeshadow. I bought it because I thought I could blend the tree colours to create a dramatic look in the evening. I had visions of being able to blend all three to create a striking smoky look. I'm not 100% sure why I had these expectations of grandeur because I'm not exactly talented when it comes to applying makeup, but hey, if you're going to experiment with a look it makes sense to try and create it with a cheaper items of makeup - and considering you get three shadows for the price of one within this product, I thought it seemed like great value. *** Application *** The eyeshadow applicator that comes with the trio is a complete waste of time, so if you do want to buy this item then I suggest you apply the shadows with a decent brush. However, even when I attempted to apply these shadows with my usual makeup brush, I soon realised that the quality wasn't there because the eyeshadows didn't have very strong colour pigments within them. Instead of having a white shadow I had an almost transparent powdery looking eyeshadow, instead of black I had a foggy, patchy shadow and with the grey shade I had to thickly layer it up to attain just a half decent colour. I even tried wetting my makeup brush to see if I could create a more intense look that way, but once the shadow dried it went back to looking dull and lifeless. These eyeshadows are supposed to for last eight hours, but I'd say it actually lasts around two and the colour starts to crease and fade after only a short while. I don't recommend this product at all. I think it's a waste of time and money. Don't bother.

Wouldn't buy again but ok for experimenting with different colours

This is an ok eyeshadow trio for the price. I think I paid about £2.50 for it which is very cheap and as I wanted to try some different coloured eyeshadow that I might not wear much this was the perfect price for me. The packaging is pretty basic but not that different to other more expensive eyeshadows so can't complain. When I applied the eyeshadow it did seem much the same as most other eyeshadows as it did not crease and went on smoothly. One thing I will say is that I did have to use quite a bit to make it stand out as it was quite shimmery and light and therefore until I applied a couple of coats it didn't really stand out enough for me. One of the bad points about it was that it did not last. It rubbed off quite quickly and didn't look like I was wearing any eyeshadow at all after a few hours so it doesn't really have any staying power so I don't think I would buy this eyeshadow again.

Its Cheap, Cheerful & Looks Great!

Now Im by no means a cheap-skate when it comes to make-up believe me I think it must be the thing I spend the most money on but sometimes I do like to try and find a bargain and a lot of the one's I have found have come from the Collection 2000 range. Their shine free face powder is something I cannot be without and with that in mind and some pennies in my pocket I decided to try out a few more products from their range a few weeks back starting with this "Collection 2000 Eyeshadow Trio" which appealed to me straight away as they had a gorgeous brown shade and as a smokey eye lover I knew I had to buy it. I really cant imagine why this has so many low ratings from people on here as I really loved it so much so Ive gone back and bought loads more! Useful Information: Price: 1.99 Stockists: Superdrug, Boots, Fragrance Direct & Amazon. Shades: Fushia Falls (Pinks), Candy Shop (All Different Pastel Colours), Night Jewels (Deeper Pink/Purple), Lemon Tropics (Greens), Silver Storm (Black/Dark Grey), Sandcastle (Light Greys), Cookie Dough (Browns) & Steel Ice (Blue/Grey). I personally own the shades Cookie Dough which I bought for everyday wear to create dark, smokey eyes and Candy Shop which I thought looked so cute and would all be perfect colours to wear in summer - it looks a lot like an ice-cream! I will be concentrating on the Cookie Dough shade for this review though as it is the one I use the most. It might be worth mentioning that the packaging for this has now changed and for the better in my opinion. It is now smaller and totally tansparent and all the colours are in small, vertical stripes across making it easier to just sweep your brush across and get every single colour. Much better than the old packaging I reckon as it looks much more updated and modern now. So as I mentioned I own the Cookie Dough shade which consists of a light beige, middle brown and a much darker brown which are the colours I normally use for creating smokey eyes but all in one so it makes the job much easier and quicker (oh and cheaper!). I guess you could wear each shade alone if you wanted a more natural look, layer them up for a really striking effect or best of all in my opinion blend them together like mad on your eyelids for a really great smokey effect. Just simply sweep your brush across the palette and an even amount of each colour should be deposited then simply layer them up and blend. These Ive found blend really easily and smudge together really well - which in this case is a good thing but dont worry the dont smudge all over the place. This particular shade does have a very light shimmer to it which gives a really interesting look to a smokey eye effect but the shimmer is very light and not all over glitter! Collection 2000 also promise that this is crease resistant and lasts up to 8 hours. I would say I agree with the first one because this doesnt crease easily at all and keeps that just applied look for a really long time, not quite 8 hours though. Id estimate this lasts around 6 hours which isnt all that bad and it will last you on a night out - and it can last the full 8 hours if you apply a primer just not on its own. I highly recommend this to everyone because I think from this range of shades there is something for everyone and one that will suit you - its super easy to apply, the colours look great however you wear them, it lasts a good amount of time and wont smudge or flake everywhere so basically everything anyone needs from their eyeshadow. Ill be going back to try more from this range and I recommend everyone else does as well. Its cheap but cheerful! Thanks For Reading x0 Salz 0x

Good cheap buy, but you get what you pay for

The Collection 2000 trio of eyeshadows come in groups of colours, eg browns, purples, greens greys, which means they come in very handy when trying to create a few different looks - its easy to create a night time and a day time look from one pack. This means they are excellent value for money. However as wish a lot of make up, ou get what you pay for, and although this range is cheap and comes in a varietyof colours, the eyeshadow has no staying power - when I used the brown/gold colours in the day for work, they had pretty much worn off by lunchtime. You also need to apply a good two or three layers in order to see the color clearly. They come with a handy eyeshadow applicator, but this is not much good when you need to put on muliple layers. Overall a good cheap buy, but doesnt stand the test of time.

Unfortunately, you get what you pay for in this instance.

I am generally a fan of Collection 2000. I think for the price the quality is more than acceptable and there is always new, on trend products available. I bought a few of these trios as I thought they would be good to experiment using different colours and shades. There is a wide variety of colours available, for a very reasonable price. The colours in the trios all compliment each other well and are easy to use to create an eye look. They are very cheap and you get quite a lot of product for your money. The shadows themselves do not feel very soft and aren't very pigmented, meaning that you need to use quite a lot to make the colour noticable. They do not rival some of the more expensive brands as they do not last long, even with a primer. The packaging is quite pretty and durable, and you get a little sponge applicator which isn't that useful as it seems to hold onto the shadow rather than transfer it to your eyes. I would reccomend paying a bit more for a higher quality eyeshadow as these just aren't great. However, don't judge the rest of the Collection 2000 products in the same way.

                RUBBISH SORRY!!

I like collection 2000 makeup. I find for everyday use it offers cheaper and good quality makeup. Although it is safe to say that some of their products are better than others. I have to admit that these collection 2000 eyeshadow trio's do fall way off the mark. I bought one of these eye shadow trio's as I liked the shade of grey that was on display. I also liked the fact that it was accompanied by black and also a white. I thought that worked in conjunction with each other these colours could create a dramatic evening look. The only problem was I was thinking of dramatic as in sexy not dramatic as in horror film!! The eye shadow looks really nice. Although on touch it is quite dry and has no moisture. The size of the three individual eye shadows are quite generous. Especially when I only paid around £3 for this product. I also though that the packaging was ok. Not glamorous or special but good enough to provide adequate protection for the eyeshadows inside. The problem only started when I decided to use this eyeshadow. It is really dry and you need to rub the applicator quite sternly in order for it to pick up any powder. However, when I tried to apply the shadow to my eyes, the powder was so fine that it would not stay in place and prefered to smudge and fall in a misty dust onto my cheek. I tried and tried but there was no way that this eye shadow was going to let me create the smoky eye effect I was after. Eventually, I found that this eyeshadow works much better when applied with the pad of my index finger. The powder seems to be much more controlled. I have continued to occasionally use the grey, but only a small amount for a hunt of colour for day time use. I certainly would not attempt to use these shadows together and I would not think of using this eyeshadow for evening usage. I know I only paid £3 for this eye shadow trio, but I feel collection 2000 has really let itself down with this product. It really goes against the good quality for cheap price theory. I feel this eyeshadow is really cheap and not to the quality I have come to expect from collection 2000.

don't try the color I tried, maybe try another

I found this eye shadow in the superdrug January after it had been reduced from three pounds down to one pound and it hadn't been touched or used by other customers. So I found a pretty bargain there! I shade I had chosen or that was there was a purple, a pastel purple and light pink, which looked very cute and pretty, but when I first applied the eye shadow it did look like that I had been punched in the eyes, luckily I applied the colors on lightly so no one would ask me! What a lucky escape! So in the end I thought it was an OK price. Each eye shadow comes with an applicator. This isn't the only color they have but they do have other colors, like the natural one which is a colors of brown and cream, the silver, black and grey which is fantastic for a smokey eye look, and it does make your eyes stand out or if you wish to find a eye shadow that matches your eye color you can find one for brown, hazel, green and blue, so it clashes nicely. Each color of eye shadow is 5 grams each, and is about 15 grams in total and overall it is a 12 m tub. This is found in the collection 2000 range which is can be found in Superdrug, Boots and various supermarkets such as ASDA and Sainsbury's. Overall, I wasn't as keen on the color I had picked but if I had gone for another color then I may have liked the product a bit more.
