      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Don't buy!

Having had a really good experience with another of Beauty UK's offerings when I saw these products that I hadn't seen before I really felt the need to buy a couple and try them out, after all it is the party season and who don't want a bit of glitter! Now before I start banging on about the product firstly let me explain something. They are a liquid glitters aimed at eyes. Also you can't purchase them in well known stores (that I know of) but I've seen them on markets, independent chemists and online and priced about £2.00 per product.

      The Packaging....

Half (the base) is clear plastic and you can see the liquid glitter through it. On there in silver writing there is a small drawing of two hearts (the Beauty UK branding) under that I'm told it is Beauty UK, 'Glitter Explosion'. On the back also in silver writing (really tiny writing at that I can barely read it!) the ingredients are listed and there is a bar-code on there. The top half is a shiny, black plastic lid, slanted ever so slightly to the top and has a gold circle embedded in it. Twist the lid on/off and you have a white plastic 'wand' and on the base of that about half an inch of clear length-ways brush like hairs but appear made up of nylon or something and also in white. It's ok looking packaging but it economy looking.

      My Experience....

Well as I say this is liquid brush on glitter. So you undo the top to pull out the brush which is simple. The brush is a tiny bit hard and no hairs sticking out that shouldn't or anything like that. The wand that is on the end of it isn't at all bendy and when you pull out the brush from the base the brush is mostly coated with a thin clear gel but covered in glitter. It's very wet looking but doesn't drip and this has never happened to me personally and I'm a clumsy devil. It simply clings to the brush. Because this is wet you can't really put it over eye shadows or anything. For best results it needs to go on alone or over a make up base etc.

Applying it is very tricky for me. I don't like the brush as the material it is made up from really tickles my eyelids and agitates me big time though it is bearable I'd just rather not do it. It feels wet but goes on smooth enough and no grating is felt by the glitter. The glitter particles are well blended within the mixture and I feel although it looks very glittery indeed in it's tube it isn't so when you use it and see how much of the product is the clear gel but as I say it goes on smooth but is slightly sticky once on.

The results are simply awful. Firstly it's incredibly hard to apply it evenly on the eyelids due to it being slippery and smeary. Then when you have it on you think it's going to 'set'. Well the gel part does but the glitter doesn't and at the slightest of touch you get covered in it. Then there's the fact that you can see your own eyelid colour through it too. This really doesn't give enough colour at all and all you can see is a few speckles of glitter in your chosen colour (in my case it's turquoise and green). However there is worse to come!

What happens is within a few minutes of application this simply all dives into any wrinkles or creases you have. This isn't dependent on age cos we all have a crease in our eyes between upper and lower lids and it slides and rests in there big time and I can't find a way to stop that from happening I'm afraid. The results then are incredibly, noticeably patchy. Not just to my eyes but other people with notice cos you end up with a rather odd look.

      Overall....

The best thing about this is that it''s easy to remove with your usual make up removing technique and it doesn't agitate eyes to be fair but the look is just atrocious. Really shocking and I wouldn't advise this product to my worst enemy. I hate it with a passion and it's useless. I guess you could use it on other parts of the body and face but me... no chance it's now going in the bin so chow!
Available in about 6 colours, but avoid, avoid, avoid lol
