Well, since having Carenza, I have not bothered with my apperance at all. I have moped around feeling sorry for myself; feeling flabby, bald and like a human milk machine. The other week,I decided enough was enough and it was time for a change! Luckily, at that moment, onto my door mat was plonked the Avon catalogue! Hmm, I thought to myself! The best way to make yourself feel better is a little bit of a shopping spree! Now my back is still really sore from the silly spinal tap I had, so too much shopping is quite strenuous. I knew it was time to do my very first Avon order. Of course, I have had experience with Avon before! My mother has been buying from them for as long as I can remember, her best friend was the Avon lady, and a lot of my stocking fillers when I was younger were from Avon. The first thing I came to in the catalogue was the Nailwear with Flexi shield techonology. I have always been a fan of nail varnish, and have well over 200 bottles. But I was feeling like I needed some new bottles! I wouldn't usually have bothered, but there was such a good offer on I could not resist! If you buy one bottle, it is £5.00, 2 bottles is £6.00, 3 bottles is £7.00 and so on. I allowed myself two bottles, and why not! I chose two completely different shades- iced mocha and blue shores. One brown, one bright blue! I am particularly fond of blue shores as it is great for adding a little bit of colour to your outfit with an open toed shoe! I have had this on for over two weeks now, fingers and toes, and it hasn't started to chip! This is bearing in mind, that I have a little baby sucking my fingers all day long. If there has to be a best advantage, then that is it! You could say that is because I am not doing any housework, but I have always left it up to someone else anyway so that makes no difference ;-) Usually I can expect three days worth of nail varnish- may
be Im odd, maybe everybody is the same! All the varnishes come with a glittery shimmer which looks great when caught in the sun! There are probably around 35 shades, from clear to blue. This almost through the entire spectrum, but there is no yellow, green or black. The shades are all gorgeous, and like me you will probably spend half your day trying to decide which ones to buy! The bottles are 12ml. I can not recommend this product enough! It is long lasting, great value for money, discounts on multi buys, beautiful..... The list is endless! So next time the Avon catalogue plops through your letter box, order your nail wear- or if you are a man, order some for your lady!

As I have stated before I have tried many brands in my quest for chip free varnish and this colour is not too bad at all. What I especially like about this brand is the brush - let me explain, with other varnishes you never know quite how much to load onto the brush, but with avon all you do is bring the brush out of the bottle and the brush is perfectly loaded, you don't need to wipe any on the side - this is a brilliant feature. However one downfall is that with the paler shades you need at least 3 coats to ensure an even finnish. Avon is reasonably priced and definatley worth a try - you will love the brush!

Longlasting and great colours! I think this range may have been upgraded now (Avon are constantly bringing out new versions) but the Avon Colour range tends to be very good value and quality, and all that may have changed is the exact name..... After complaining in my last opinion about Clarins nail varnish, and using some others last week for a gig I was doing, which chipped quickly as well, this is a refreshing change! I applied 2 coats of this polish on Wed evening to go out, and here i am on Sat morning with it virtually unchipped! If you want a fantastic colour and great coverage with staying power, try something from this range....out of the many different ranges and makes I've tried, which includes Avon's cheaper range, this is the best by far!
