      entertained me for a while

I havent bought this magazine for so long as you can read celebrity gossip online for free nowadays. I was in Tesco and saw this advertised for £1 so I thought it would be good to have something to read over the Easter weekend.

The magazine looks sort of like an upmarket glossy, with a few celeb photoshoots in their own homes, usually if they have had a child or got a new partner. Its aimed at women and there are a lot of stories that are family based. For example in this edition Chantelle Houghton is having a small issue with her boyfriend Alex Reid and they have set up a photoshoot and interview.

There are also a few columns written by z listers like Kerry Katona. She gives her opinion on the celeb gossip of the week.

It will take you quite a while to get through if you are reading all the articles as there are 130 pages. There are a load of adverts though and it is easy to just look at all the pictures and figure out what is going on. Its usually a load of celebs being stalked by paparazzi and a story being made up about them.

A nice part of the magazine is the fashion section where there are large full page photos of the latest looks and they are usually from affordable stores.

They are also keen on the royals, Kate Middleton features heavily towards the beginning of the mag. It comes across like it is a sort of society magazine but there is still quite a chavvy underlying tone, with lots of z listers and featuring the same faces. All the stories are on the sun online so I dont think I will bother buying this again.

        Misleading magazine

I really don't think there is anything good i can say about this Magazine.
In addition to the fact it keeps my most hated 'Celebrities' in the headlines, most of what they report is inaccurate.
The price is not good for a magazine that entices the reader by putting pictures on the front that can sometimes be years old. My most recent memory was before christmas there was a picture that seemed to show Peter Andre and Katie Price in a picture together with the children making the reader immeadiately think they had some breaking story that they were back together - of course this was not true.
In addition the headlines they use where they pick on one word or sentence the Celebrity may have said i.e. 'I love my baby so much' would make someone think that they are reporting on someones pregnancy but when you read the article they were actually talking about one of their pets!
On top of all this the number of times magazines like this have then had to publish apologies for printing information that has no truth is ridiculous yet they offer no refund to the reader who they have taken money from.

Give three quid a week to charity and read your gossip online.

I used to read OK! and Hello! magazines a good 10 years ago when I was 17, I gave up when I went to Uni as I couldn't really afford the then £2-a-week on something so frivolous, and I've now only recently bought a copy as I have had that awful winter vomiting bug and I needed something to cheer me up.

How very disappointed I was! What has happened to OK!? I am aware that it went a bit downmarket, but I didn't expect *this* downmarket. Here's my overall view and the reasons why I won't be buying it again:

        1. The Price

I was expecting it to be a bit more expensive than back in 2000 but £2.90 for a weekly is a bit steep, is it not? Especially considering a good 25% of the magazine is nothing but glossy ads, and even some of the features are promotional (not to mention all the coverage of sponsored events in the back, in what I like to call z lister corner). I mean, I could buy a daily paper all week for that. Or a £1 magazine and some sweets. Or even a brand new book every week (considering Asda are now doing a great range of books for a quid a go). No, I think the cost is too high (especially when you consider what I'm about to say on the content!)

        2. The Lies

There is simply no other way of putting it...OK! now seems to think it's perfectly acceptable to print utter tosh on it's front page, with little or no regard for the actual truth of the matter (often contradicting itself on it's front page in the actual article inside). I've asked around and past gems include:

'Jordan - I found Peter in bed with another woman - she's SO plastic!' (Inside: Jordan and Peter Andre pose with a blow up doll in a 'tongue in cheek' photoshoot).

'David and Victoria Beckham - Inside our Winter Wonderland Wedding' (Inside: Victoria's sister is getting married.)

'Cheryl Cole: My baby secret!' (Inside: Cheryl Cole tells 'a friend' that she would like babies in the future).

That's not the only way OK! choose to deceive it's readers. They regularly photoshop their front covers - they got in trouble for suggesting Cheryl Cole and Victoria Beckham had been snapped together at a party - turns out neither had attended the party, both had been photoshopped together and the colour of Victoria's dress had been changed to suggest a different outfit. They do this all the time and don't even bother to note it - so you can never ever be sure that what you're seeing in OK actually happened.

        3. The (lack of) attention to detail

The amount of spelling errors, simple factual errors (like, stating someone's age as 21, 24 and 20 in the same article) and grammatical errors is astounding. Does no-one read the copy before it goes to print!? It's never good when you are reading something thinking 'I'm sure that's wrong. I'm going to check it on the internet when I get home..'

It doesn't instill any confidence (if ever there could be any) in OK!'s reporting.

        4. The shock factor

When Michael Jackson died, OK! were the ones that went too far and printed pictures of his body (and re-ran loads of old copy from an old 1994 interview).

When Jade Goody was sick, OK! went one step further and printed her obituary...a week before she died! Desperate to be the first 'tribute' to go to print, they went ahead and 'banked' on her passing away in the interim. Which shows plenty of compassion and respect..not. Believe it or not, even those of us who do like the occasional flick through a gossip mag don't want to pore over dead bodies.

        5. The 'celebrity' columnists

The 'celebrity' columnists at the moment in OK! are Nikki Grahame from Big Brother 6 (yes, the obnoxious one no-one could stand) and Alex Curran (she's married to Steven Gerrard apparently, or they are engaged, I forget). Anyway, their columns comprise of a photo of them, a diary of what they've been up to (which is generally nothing), their thoughts on other z-lister stories, and a blatant plug for a product (this week, Nikki 'loves' a detox drink). It's all so cheap and tacky. Even Katie Price, who had a laughably lame 'advice' column for a few years, has jumped ship.

All in all I am very disappointed with the mag. It seems to be that the front page is designed purely to make you pay the extortionate price of the magazine, and the inside of the magazine is made up of photoshoots, lame copy, lies, glossy advertisements and articles telling me to spend £200 on an ugly pair of shoes. I wasn't expecting the Guardian, but I was expecting a bit more Grazia..

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

I wouldn't buy it again even on offer!

While away last weekend and being stuck in a Travelodge with a Television that only buzzed and whistled throughout all of the weekends TV programmes. I had to make a quick dash threw the rain across the car park to the service stations mini WH Smith shop. While browsing the mags I came across a bundle in a plastic bag 4 mags for £2.99!.

Well that is good value, but it contained OK magazine which I never buy due to 2 reasons.

          1. Being that it is expensive at £2.60 a week ( thats over a tenner a month!)

          2. It always seems to have the same old faces on the front of the cover, selling the same old stories ( well if you glance along the whole of the mags shelf you will see the same faces on all of them with Katie Price being the flavour of the week!)

So what do I do, give OK a chance as it has got 3 other mags with it or listen to the whistling tv!. So I grabbed it and dashed back through the rain again to go and enjoy my mags.

I was very anti OK and was determined that I was not going to enjoy this mag at all. With it's very glossy pages all 164 of them it started to attract me to flick through them. Before I knew it I was totally engrossed in it, with it's stories about the celebs in the jungle, Ashley Coles "Exclusive Interview", Cheryl Cole with her "Interview", Victoria Beckham not using fake tan anymore, Westlife "We'll sing with Brian again one day" ect......It wasn't the stories that caught my attention it was how many times I could count Katie Prices name in it.

It had started to creep in, the boredom that is as page after page it was just dribble about absolutely nothing that really didn't interest me. Don't get me wrong I love a bit of gossip about the celebs as much as the next person, but this just seemed uninteresting. With 5 pages on Katie Price, flicked through that quick only to find in the next interview with Sam Fox they are asking her questions about guess who ? ...yes Katie Price!!!. Next page interview with Peter Andre, the words Ex Wife and Katie appear again! flick along a few pages and an "Interview" with The Saturdays well what a surprise there she is again, being talked about in the Katie and Peter saga!!!!!

Dare I flick any further surely I would be safe now as I was almost halfway through the mag, but oh no "Interview" with Nicola McLean with the headlines " Go back to the kids Katie!" and "Interview with Gary Cockerill & Phil Turner headline reads " We're seeing the real Katie - it's no act!" sorry to go on, but it just goes on and on Katie Price modelling some clothes yet another "Interview" with Kenneth Tong & Karly Ashworth (Big Bro fame!) with the headlines "Katie & Pete living a lie" and this is on page 137. Page 144 is a problem page for you to write into and get advice from "Dear Jordan" but being that she isn't there she has been replaced by her friends Gary & Phill, with just to finish it off there is a picture of Katie and kids on the back page!

I don't dislike Katie Price I can take her or leave her, but to see her name on nearly every interview is just plain boring, apart from that, I like the format of the magazine. The way they set it out in asking questions and writing the replies down can be interesting rather than just long sentences. It covers a wide range of different Celebs with ex Wags, Bands, Soap Stars ect..... little snippets of gossip on the OK Hollywood Gossip page and with lots of fashion and beauty tips it doesn't make a bad read if it was totally different on each page instead of picking out a Celeb and running their name throughout the whole mag!.

This has the usual puzzle, Horoscopes and OK Health pages, with plenty of lovely colour photo's of celebs pictures especially on the OK Parties pages. With the back page having what a lot of mags have now and that is where a Celeb is asked several questions about their personal life.

This has it's few share of adverts, but all magazines seem to. It is a nice big glossy mag, but is one that I will not be buying again. This didn't work out to expensive as I said before it came with 3 other mags as well, with these being OK! USA, Star and New, so for £2.99 not to bad. So all in all I can only give this mag a 2 star rating!.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

A glossy weekly celebrity gossip magazine

If you asked my colleagues in the staffroom what their favourite magazine was to read at lunchtime was then OK! would be number one. Very few of us actually ever buy the magazine but if we come in at lunchtime and there is one on the table then we rush to grab it and there is always someone asking "Can I read that after you?" It's a great magazine to read in a staffroom because we are always saying things like "Oh my goodness, look at her outfit" or "Look at the house so and so lives in".

Ok! is a magazine that I have bought occasionally, I much prefer it to the likes of Heat or Now which I find can be a bit tacky. I like Ok! for its glossy photo shoots and its great for holidays or train journeys. I found myself reading the latest OK! magazine after a friend bought it for me after I came out of hospital recently.

The magazine is weekly and retails for £1.95, however recently they have been doing a special deal where you can buy the magazine for £2.60 and along with the OK! magazine get several other celeb magazines including Star and New!

On the front cover we have the usual suspects with Katie Price and Peter Andre, is there ever an edition of a celebrity magazine where they don't make an appearance? There are also pictures of Stacy from X-Factor, two people from Big Brother who have apparently got married (not having watched Big Brother I have no idea who they are) and Coleen Rooney.

I always marvel at the fact that magazines like OK! use headlines to make stories that don't exist. For example under the Coleen Rooney picture is the headline "Coleen Rooney Baby News" which you might quite rightly think means that Coleen Rooney has had her baby, however when this edition of the magazine came out which is November 3rd Coleen Rooney hadn't had her baby and the photo is of her holding someone elses baby.

Inside the magazine are lots of glossy photos, articles and interviews. Katie Price does manage to take up 10 of the pages in a Halloween photo shoot with her children. There is also an interview with Alexandra Burke and with Stacy Solomon. There are also interviews with some soap stars (however not being a soap watcher these didn't really interest me). There is an amusing photo shoot and interview with some of the stars from Strictly Come Dancing with the photos showing a mock "Murder on the dancefloor" story.

The magazine as well as having celebrity news also has sections on Style, Fashion, Health, Beauty, Travel and Food. There is also a problems page where Jordan supposedly answers all your problems. Quite why you would want Katie Price to answer your problems I really don't know, I think she has quite enough of her own without advising other people but that's just my opinion!!

I like OK! magazine it's a nice magazine to have a read of now and again and catch up on celeb news. There is also more reading than any many of the other celebrity magazines with better interviews and also looking at other subjects such as beauty and health. Personally I think its quite expensive for a weekly magazine, at £1.95 or £2.60 it is quite close to many monthly magazines which have much more content so its not a magazine I would choose to buy every week. However it is a nice treat to read it now and again. It not for everyone but if you are interested in celebrities and like to look at photos of them in their houses or to see what they have been wearing recently then OK! is the best of the celebrity magazines and well worth a read. My copy now I am finished will be heading into the work staffroom and will no doubt be well flicked through by many people

Better magazines out there - don't be fooled by the 3 magazines for 1 promotion

I have been a huge fan of OK magazine for years but lately have started buying other cheaper magazines (e.g. Now, New, Closer). I love that the magazine is huge, its sold as having 3 magazines in one and when you pick it off the shelf you know that there are loads of pages. However they are able to make the magazine so big because they run similar articles all the time. I am so sick of Jordan being on the front cover. Each time I buy the magazine there promises to be some huge Jordan revelation which turns out to be nothing and just her way of getting more money and publicity. Kerry Katona no longer writes a column but there was Katona overload for a long time. The magazine provides lots of very big glossy photos but nothing actually that exciting to read. I find myself quickly flicking between the pages and never going back to the magazine and at £2.50 this magazine is way too expensive.

              Try it?

Now, I am not one of those girls who just sticks to one maagazine and buys that one religously every week, however I do have two favourites. These are O.K and Heat. I do buy other t.v magazines aswell , but I love these two because of the fashion and celebrity gossop (although not all of it is true.)

              What is ok?
Ok is a magazine which is mainly aimed at women and is claimed that is is the first for celebrity news. It has made over 695 issues and will soon be celebrating its 700th birthday issue. It is one of the magazines that cover a wide array of stuff such as fashion, celeb interviews, tributes to stars, celebs on they're life at home, who's making it big and where, food, health, 'dear jordan' column, travel, puzzles, news round up, idol gossip, world in action and more. Hopefully you mow get the idea of what sort of magazine it is.

              The price:
I have picked up some issues for £1.95 and others for £2.95, but it has never been dearer than that when I have purchased one, I personally think that this is a bit expensive for a magazine as you can pick up some for 85p.

              The regulars:
The regulars in ok is basically what is in every issue.

              Health:
The health section often covers different things from issue to issue, from obesity to pm's. It explains what it is, the symptons, how to improve it and 5 of the best helpers for it.

Then there is the food section:
The food section I normally tend to skip, it is just a few recipes and either different or the same celebrities talking about home their lifestyle and what they eat.

              Dear Jordan:
This is like an 'agony aunnt' page - but to Katie Price! You can write into her if you're having problems at home, with your relationship, or just life generally. Her answers are very blunt and straight to the point , so if you don't want to hear the truth I'd suggest that you maybe wouldn't write into her.

              Travel:
Also known as the 'fantasy island' page. Here it does a different country for each issue and it will let you know stuff about the country that you most likely will want to know before booking, such as, where you can stay, which stars you might see, where you should go, eat, do and all stuff like that. This might be useful to you if you can afford to jet off to places like Dubai and Barbados!

              Puzzles:
At the end of the day puzzles are puzzles, cross words, word searches, just the usual. Not really what the magazie was intended for.

              Stars:
Just your star signs. To me it is just 50 - 70 words that never seem to happen so I no lomnger waste my life reading them!

              News round up:
Picks out different celebrites and lets you know some new news about them, such as new job, single, film, family etc.

Now here are some other thing in the magazine:
              Fashion:
I really love the fashion pages and would defintley reccomend this to anyone who fancys a new look or just to see what they would need to but to be up to date with alll the stars.
It isn't always fashion it at the moment as it is also things that celebs have worn which you really shouldn't!

              Celebrity news:
This can be interviews, what they are up to, just stuff that you would expect in any other magazine!

              My view!
I really like this magazine, although I have to say like in most magazines not all of the 'interviews' or 'gossip' is true and some as been made up to sell copies.
I would reccomend this magazine to most people, but not for very young girls as I find that some of te issues in here are unsuitable for them.
Unfortunatley I think that the price lets it down as you can pick up other magazines from as little as 85p and I am sure that there are some even cheaper than that. Although this magazine has a lot more in it than these and is normally around 150 pages and some are even up to 200 pages and it isn't the thin type of magazine that leaves your fingers feeling dry and horrible.
I really like the way it is set out as it makes it easy to read and the fact that it has a contents makes it even easier and clearer of where things are. Although not every page has a page number which I do find quite frustating, but the majority of them do, so I guess it is ok!

Overall I'd say that OK is Ok!
There is nothing special about the magazine and unfortunatley for me the price does let it down! I would reccomend this to peple, but personally I would not buy every issue that comes out as I think that there are some better magazines (and cheaper) ones on the market!

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

Is a good magazine if you're prepared to pay the price.

OK magazine is a weekly glossy magazine filled with celebrity stories. I do buy it occassionally but find it is too expensive and is overfilled with pictures. I prefer closer magazine as it is less than half the price and seems to have more to read.

Ok comes out on a tuesday and retails for £2.95, it is the first for celebrity news and you also get two other magazines, Hot Stars and OK USA. It has all the latest celebrity gossip and interviews, a fashion section and regular features such as 'dear Jordan'.

It is a good magazine and I do enjoy reading it however the price puts me off buying it, spending just short of three pound a week adds up to over a hundred and fifty pounds a year, and being a mum to three young boys I like to avoid such costs on magazines.

Every issue there is one main cover story, often with celebs like Jordan, Kerry Katona, Cheryl Cole, Victoria Beckham etc. This will take up between 6 and 12 pages of the magazine and although the interview is usually an exclusive most of the pages are filled with pictures of the stars. This is continues throughout the magazine with quite a lot of interviews and stories but again lots of pictures and not much writing.

The Hot Stars magazine is quite a good magazine in its own right, it often has celebrity stories but also had diet and travel sections. There is also a television guide which always comes in handy.

OK USA is exactly what it sound like, an American version of the mag. It is only small, with maybe 20 pages of extracts from the US magazine but again always useful to catch up with whats happening in America.

So for your £2.95 you get three celebrity magazines in one but overall I think it is over priced and filled with too many pictures. Also a lot of the 'exclusive' stories featured in OK you will find in the papers anyway.
I do still buy it occassionally though, usually if on holiday or something.

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

It's OK but I am losing interest fast

I have been reading OK magazine for a number of years and even used to have a subscription. I was originally drawn to the magazine because he has lots of gossip on a few celebrities that I was interested in.

I am not obsessed with celebrity but I am quite a nosey person and like to know what is going on. I found that OK gave quite a lot of information about the celebrities that I wanted to know about like Katie Price and Peter Andre, Kerry Katona and other people like that.

The things I like about the magazine are that it is weekly and as I normally read it in one of two sittings to have to wait a month for the next one would mean I would have to go out and buy something else. I like it because it isn't filled with minor royals or other wealthy sorts like Hello and also because it doesn't contain any real life stories. I can't stand those magazines that are full of real life stories about mother's running off with their daughter's boyfriends or people being married to rapists. I was on holiday once and had forgotten to take my book and the only other thing I could find was those sorts of magazines it was awful. The magazine comes with two other 'magazines' inside and they are both really just gossip mags but one is supposed to be from the States so you get all the celeb gossip from America too. I find the whole magazine a really easy read and it is usually up to date with all the latest gossip, divorce and baby news from all the stars and minor celebrities. The other thing that drew me to the magazine was that it isn't crammed with advertising like some of the monthly magazine like Cosmo or Elle. I don't want to see stick thin models wearing a pair of jeans that cost £700 as it isn't something I am ever going to be interested in buying. The makeup ads are just as bad for expensive lipsticks at £30 or cleansers at £25 a bottle. Maybe I am missing something but I don't know anyone who can afford to buy anything like that.

The things I don't like about the magazine are that they often do a big cover item telling you about exclusive information they have and then you get the article and it's all 'from a friend' or 'someone close to...' I find that the cover is often misleading in this way and that things that are sensationalised on the front when read as part of the interview or article are actually very different. I tend not to take much notice of the headlines on the front as they are usually nonsense. The magazine does have an obsession with the Beckhams but they rarely get an interview with them so every week you end up with pages of quotes from old interviews of the opinion of friends or people supposedly close to them. I am not particularly interested so I find that I skim through huge chunks of the magazine because it is random quotes about David and Victoria and where they are living or how the strain is telling on their marriage. The other thing I don't like is that they often do mock up interviews with the cast of Coronation Street for example. The most recent one was an interview with the character Steve Macdonald and his latest wife. The interview is conducted as if Steve macdonald was a real person and I just don't get it. OK, so I may be interested to know what the actor has to say about his characters latest marriage but to pretend to interview the actual character. What is that all about?

I have found lately that I am skimming more and more of the magazine because it is full of the latest Big brother contestants or the latest American Idol contestants or people from a reality show that I just don't watch. Unfortunately I cannot find another magazine that isn't full of ridiculous adverts or horrific real life stories or knitting patterns so I am just going to have to stick with this one and hope things improve. I recently bought Mother & Baby because it came with a free plate and had lots of competitions for me to enter. Although I did find it interesting as I have three children and am pregnant with my forth there wasn't a lot that I hadn't heard before.

I think I currently pay £2.95 for the magazine which isn't cheap when you consider that you can buy other similar magazines for as little as about 60p.

I would recommend OK to anyone who wants their celebrity fix but I wouldn't take it too seriously.

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

Only worth buying for something special.

I used to be a huge fan of OK magazine but over the last few years I feel it has got much worse, and as its gone downhill the price has gone vastly uphill.

Ok magazine consists mainly of celebrities and their interviews. The gossip is split into reported journalism against tabloid pictures and genuine interviews. However there are occassions when it appears they havent actually interviewed the celebrity that recently and that they are re hashing old interviews, another reason OK has gone downhill.

The magazine has a lot of celebrities which appear very often in it. These are mainly Jordan, Kerry Katona, and Colleen Rooney. Kerry used to have a column, but doesn't anymore. Colleen has a column towards the back and Jordan has a problem page section. When it gets to big brother season there is often an ex housemate columnist.

Ok cover a lot of pregnancies, weddings and births with their interviews. The types of celebrities they interview are soap stars and footballers.

Included in OK are two other magazines inside. One is hot stars and another is the OK USA version.

Personally these days I think OK is a waste of money, however as it does quite a lot of exclusive coverage, sometimes it will pick up a good event that you cannot read about anywhere else (E.G. Jade Goody's wedding) and so you have to buy it. In that respect, OK has the market covered!

                  Advantages

                  Disadvantages

                  The best for celebrity gossip!

OK! Magazine is the best magazine for celebrity gossip. For just £2.50 you get OK!, OK! USA and Hot Stars. They each offer you a selection of the week's best celebrity news, that's right, just the week. Who would have thought so much happened in a week.

OK! offers exclusive pictures and interviews with the hottest star, I'm sure every single famous person has been shown in this magazine at one time or another. Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simspon to Brad Pitt... basically everyone. It even gives you backstage gossip and pictures from big red carpet events and the latest from Cannes film festival.

What I like about this magazine is that it doesn't insult and embarrass celebrities like other magazine. It's more about giving you the facts than rumours. With so many celebrities willing to give interviews and pictures of their families and homes to the magazine it must be trusted amongst the A-list too.

There is also the classic Agony Aunt and this comes to you in the form of Katie Price, whilst her advice is sometimes a bit short and blunt, she gives you pictures of celebrity examples of your problems e.g. women wanting big family, picture of Angelina Jolie.

There are also your horoscopes and crosswords. As well as many advertisements to which many are quite good products. And in Hot Stars you have film reviews, CD reviews as well as your 7-day TV listings. This magazine is just exploding with stuff, fashion, music, make-up, films, behind-the-scenes, backstage, red carpet, concerts, awards, babies, weddings, baby showers, you name it, it's there.

It has however, had a price increase lately and has gone from £2.50 to £2.95, which is too expensive really and I love the magazine but I won't spend that on it, not every Tuesday.

This review can also be found on Ciao.co.uk, under the same name :)

                    Advantages

                    Disadvantages

same as all other mags but im not a fan

OK! is a weekly magazine which features celebrities and costs £2.95 which is quite expensive in comparison to others like new and heat etc. Im not really a big fan of OK magazine to be honesti find the front covers and "quotes" on the cover to be quite miss leading for example in this weeks issue (645) with Jordan aka Katie Price on the cover it has a picture of her showing her hand with no wedding ring (shock horror) with quotes such as "i finally speak about my marriage" and "why i walked out on pete" and "it looks like i'll be a single mum" which when i saw it and for most other people who see it will assume that her and peter andre have split up so will buy the mag however its a different story once you read the full interview which is actually saying that she is sick of all the speculation on her marriage and her and pete are more in love than ever .. well didnt we alrady know that ? and doesnt she say the same things in ALL the other mags ? so i ask WHy do they do this to make us think there will be exclusive gossip ! it really annoys me.

Although in their defence they do sometimes do great exclusives on celeb weddings etc.

                    Advantages

                    Disadvantages

worth investing in if you actually want to read it and not just look at the pictures

Iv only just recently begain reading Ok magazine. I used to buy the cheap magazine such as Closer and Look but to be honest Id get through them really quickly and the fashion in these mags didnt appeal to me and im not all that interested in the real life stories features so I decided to fork out the £2.95 (or rather got my husband to) and I was plesently surprised.

It mostly focuses on celebrity gossip but dosnt slate the stars or come across as bitching like some other magazine do. They have the most interstesing stories and often feature the celebrity weddings.

The photographs in the magazine are high quality and not always "pappped" and its nice to read about someone who wants to be read about rather then taken a picture of and weritten about without there consent.

There are 2 other mags that come free with this one i particulary like the U.S mag as they write about celebs im interested in but that dont get the coverage over here in the U.K

                    Advantages

                    Disadvantages

Overall OK is an alright magazine but there are better ones out there.

I am quite into my celebrity magazines every Tuesday when they come out I get closer and reveal. I'm not really into the ok magazine because it is priced at £2.95 and for that price I could buy both Closer and reveal. I don't really find the magazine that interesting I think there is far too many ads in it, I no the magazine has lots of pages but on most pages they don't have much information. I also don't like the fact that they don't have many real life stories. I admit the magazine is crammed full with celebrity gossip and they do a lot of interviews but I find the interviews a bit boring. Ok normally get most of the wedding exclusive magazine deals so I admit if someone I really like gets married then I will buy it for example I brought it when Kerry Katona got married, Katie price and I brought all the magazines that was about colleen and Wayne Rooney's wedding. I thought the interviews about the weddings were a bit long but the pictures in there were fabulous. Overall I wouldn't buy this as my main magazine but will buy every now and then or if going on a long journey and I'll just read the interviews to take time up.

                      Disadvantages

Great magazine with up to date pics and goss

I am addicted to OK magazine. OK is the biggest celebrity gossip magazine out at the moment, it gives you up to date stories and pictures direct from celebville. It also contains interviews with some of our favourite celebrities. Over the weeks we can see exclusives pictures of the hottest talked about events for example exclusive pictures and interviews with Colleen Mcloughlin and Wayne Rooney on their wedding day.

So what is it that makes OK so special?

Here are a few features of Ok magazine:

OK is actually three magazines in one we get to read our usual Ok aswell as OK USA and Hot Stars. All this for just £2.95 weekly how can we resist?

                      OK

At the start of the magazine we can see up to date stories of how life is going for our favourite celebs, I was very sad to read the article about Jade Goody this week and her fight battling cancer. Some common stars we seem to hear about at the moment are Lindsey Lohan and Lilly Allen those two have something going on each week. You will especially see drunken pictures of our bad behaved stars.

We get advised of new relationships and old relationships that are breaking down, who's pregnant and who is in the dog- house. We get to see new celebrity Mums on outings with there babies. It advertises new up and coming shows to hit our screens in the near future, the celebrities are also sometimes interviewed about the show.

OK has a full page dedicated to Kerry Katona. Kerry speaks about weekly celebrity news and gives her opinions and views on the various different situations celebrities have got themselves into. Kerry is honest and will tell us which celebrity she is liking and which ones she isn't liking.

We also get a few page Hollywood section where we can find out some of the latest news from the bigger stars including Tobey Maguire, Uma Thurman, Russell Crowe, Britney Spears and Kirsten Dunst.

OK will always have a few exclusive interviews in each issue. The latest one I read was with Christina Aguilera, the star discussed her relationship and life with the 8-month-old son Max. We got to see pictures of Christina when she was first starting out, and pictures of her now.

                      Hot Stars

Hot stars magazine gives us an insight of breaking news. We get to see pictures of celebrities when they were babies awwwwww. We also get to see celebrities and their babies and some celebrity pets. Best of all we get to see stars without make-up, thank god for airbrushing I say.

We get top information from celebrities about their diet and exercise plans.

There is also a section called "Don't print that" I love this section as it shows us pictures that celebrities wouldn't want us to see, such as Bums, Sweat and Cellulite. We tend to see a lot of drunken stars with their bits on show as they are falling out of cars or just generally falling over in the street.

Can you remember squeaky Nikki Grahame from Big Brother? Well she has her own column in Ok too she pretty much does the same as Kerry and gives her opinion on who she is liking this week and what she thinks of celebrity news. Nikki has her own my diary section where she tells us what she has been up to in the last week.

When good clothes happen to bad people. This section gives us pictures of the stars wearing the most outrageous clothing.

The powder room secrets section advises us of make-up and beauty products we could use to make us look just like our favourite celebs. Yeah right. We also get a review on spa of the week, it tells us which celebrity uses the spa and how much it is.

The review section gives us top reviews on a variety off different things such as Movies, DVDS, Books and Music.

                      OK USA

In this magazine we get to see stars in their fanciest of frocks with their stunning jewellery attending red carpet events. We get to judge "who wore it better" where we see two celebrities in the same outfit and we can guess who got voted the better dresser. I'm rubbish at that I never get it right.

We get to see love stories and who is making a comeback. There is also a poll section with various who done it better and who is the best.

In the body and soul section we can see stars doing there training and get tips of different exercise and get an idea what time of day to do certain ones to feel the most benefits. We get ideas of how to fuel or body with healthy fat, protein and antioxidants in the "for of a shake" section we see this weeks recommendation was to blend all of the following ingredients to create a healthy shake to drink after a mornings exercise.

                      2 organic egg whites
                      1-2 tbsp. of ground Flaxseed
                      ½ cup of frozen blueberries
½ a banana or any other preferred fruit
                      ½ cup of fresh orange
1 tsp. of lemon flavoured fish oil

In our celebrity designers section we get to see what the stars are wearing and where we can buy it. That's if we can afford it.

"They said what" is a section full of celebrity quotes I never read these though to be honest I don't really see the point. We also get a T.V guide at the back of this section.

There are a lot of advertisements in this magazine but due to it being jam packed of gossip and stories it isn't something that really bothers me to be honest, infact I like reading about what new products and services are available.

We can sometimes find money off coupons for things such as magazines or fast food. And of course there are competitions for us to enter and win some really cool goodies.

There are plenty of delicious recipe ideas to try from main meals to deserts.

There is a tried and tested section where products are tested and we are advised on whats hot and whats not we can also write in and ask Emma to recommend us some beauty products. On this page a celebrity will advise us of her favourite beauty item and how much it cost.

Dear Jordan is another column by of course Katie Price she gives us information about what she and her family have been up to lately readers can write in with any of their concerns and problems and Jordan acts as an agony aunt to advise.

Each week we get a full page spread on a different exotic place to visit. We get advised where we should visit when we get there. Where we should stay eat and drink and what celebrities we may bump into during our vacation. We can also get details on flights to get there.

Puzzles are also available in OK well actually one crossword.

Each week we can see what destiny awaits us from our horoscopes with Justin Topper, I usually don't bother with horoscopes as the are usually a load of pap but some things that were written sounded oddly familiar so I always read them now.

And the final parts of OK consist of celebrity news round up and our world in action, which shows us different amazing things and traditions from around the world. OK parties show us the last week of parties and we get to see the stars all dressed up. And lastly we have Idol gossip where ok talks with a certain celebrity about their favourite things and their plans for the future.
