I am on my feet all day in work and my legs are often tired and heavy by the time I get home. I also suffer from Restless Leg Syndrome at bed time which I really don't like the sensation off. I bought Mama Mio Lucky Legs Cooling Serum in a bid to combat this problems. I also hoped that it might even help to reduce the appearance of my dreaded cellulite. What does the product do? The product promises to reduce feelings of discomfort in the legs and to boost the circulation of the blood leaving you with 'feather light' legs. It claims that it will help relieve tired, swollen and heavy legs and feet using a whole host of natural ingredients including Spearmint, Menthol, Aloe Vera and Chamomile. It is suitable for use of all skin types and it also helps to relieve itchy and dry skin. In addition to all this, it will add a subtle shimmer to the legs leaving them looking as good as they now feel. How do you use the product? You need to dispense a few pumps of the product into the hands and then massage it into the feet and legs using a circular motion until it has been fully absorbed. You can reapply the product as often as needed. Appearance and Price The product comes contained within a plastic bottle which has a grey label wrapped around it. The bottle contains some extra information about the product and a white pump dispenser at the top. The product will cost you around £16 and it can be bought from a range of online websites and also from large department stores. Application and Performance The product is pearly white in colour and it has the consistency of a gel which is similar to that of cellulite products that I have used. It has a refreshing menthol minty aroma which is invigorating and awakening. It is pleasant enough, and it isn't strong enough to put anyone off, and I think that the aroma enhances the experience nicely. The product feels nice and cool on the skin. It tingles ever so slightly and it does give a good cooling effect, without actually being cold. It seems to melt into the skin so you won't need to spend ages massaging it in but the skin stays lubricated enough to give the legs a proper massage to get the blood flowing again. It feels completely comfortable on the skin and it hasn't irritated my legs or caused them to experience any discomfort. The product does make my legs feel a bit more comfortable. The cooling sensation stops them from aching so much and the rubbing action makes my legs feel less heavy or more 'awake'. The product is really good for when my legs get restless in bed and a quick application of this gets rid of the feeling quite quickly and keeps it away. The added shimmer isn't very noticeable and it just adds a sheen to the skin but it does make my legs look nice and it is in no way sparkly so you don't need to panic. A little of this product goes a long way so it won't run out too quickly. Conclusion All in all, this is a good product which does make my legs feel more comfortable and removes that restless feeling. It is gentle but effective and the shimmer puts a nice sheen on your skin. It gets your legs looking and feeling better, and although it doesn't eliminate the problem altogether, it does make my legs feel much better.
You don't have to be pregnant to suffer from great big swollen ankles in hot weather, but oh my goodness if you are pregnant in July (like myself) you'll certainly be on first name terms with the dreaded fat ankle syndrome, otherwise known as 'cankles'! I'l be honest, I really didn't expect a lot from this product. I had some vouchers and thought I'd take a chance on the high price. I hold my hands up, I was wrong. The first thing you notice is that this is not the mousse the packaging leads you to assume it might be, it is a slightly runny serum. The second thing you notice is the unbelievably strong smell of spearmint and citrus. It is literally eye watering. It's not pretty. But as soon as you rub the serum in you'll notice an instant cooling and soothing effect. Bliss. After about half a minute you also notice that it is taking the swelling right down. Not in a 'I *think* something might be happening' way, but in a 'oh look my feet are shrinking before my eyes' way. It literally gets to work immediately on the worst of puffiness in such a way that you can see your great big fat ankles sinking before your eyes. So yes, it smells strong, it makes you hands tingle in an unpleasant way if you are out and about and can't get to a sink to wash them straight away, it's runny, and it has tiny glitter specs that are (in my eyes unecessary). Let's not let any of that make any difference to the big one. IT WORKS!
