      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Worth the money, would be great for students!

I got this printer when I started uni as I needed a new one. It has performed much better that I thought it would; In the 3 years I have been using it it has gone through thousands of pages, most recently a 200 page report I had to write. It got through the 200 pages easily without a single jam and without overheating etc, plus the paper tray holding enough paper to not need a refill, although any more pages and I would have had to refill it.

It is really cheap to run; most people think laser printers are expensive to run, yes, buying an ink cartrage for them costs around £80, and they need 4 of them (1 for each colour), however these last for ages, plus you can save money by refilling them manually, which is so much cheaper (search online for how to do this).

One drawback is that I find it quite slow for a laser printer, although I am comparing it to those used in schools etc so maybe all personal laser printers are like this.

Overall, very good printer that I will be using for many more years.
Definitely recommend over an inkjet if you do a lot of printing.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        Good printer, occasional feed issues

I have had this model printer for about 12 months at my place of work.

The quality of print is top notch (although I use it for business use, and have not tried it for photographs etc).

If the paper feeds correctly, it is a very quick printer, printing a large document in seconds. However, I do often struggle with the paper feed. It tells me the paper tray is empty, when it is not, and sometimes tells me there is a paper jam, when there is not! Although I find this is a common problem amongst most printers, I have never had a printer with no paper feed problems at all!

The ink is expensive for this machine too, it costs around £130-140 for a pack of cartidges, and about £40-45 for a single cartridge. It is therefore much more cost effective to buy the multipacks, but hits you with a large bill in one go. The cartridges do last a long time however. I use mine every week day quite heavily, and each cartridge lasts me a good two to three months before it needs replacing.

So on the whole I would recommend this printer.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

A great laser printer that would suit any home or work area.

Most home users buy inkjet printers. Laser printers have always been used in offices, partly because they were bulky, expensive, and mono. Before buying this printer I had heard many people say "Once you've had a laser printer, you never go back to inkjet". Put quite simply, I agree with them now.

I bought this printer in May 2010 to replace my Epson inkjet printer. I was fed up with clogged cartridges when I needed to use the printer. Unknown to me at the time, inkjets are notorious for clogging cartridges when they aren't used often. After some research I discovered that laser printers don't have this problem, and so that made my decision to purchase this even easier.

Yes, laser printers are a little more expensive, and the ink is definitely more expensive, but if you are looking for a long lasting printer that provides great quality pictures and text, without fear of clogged cartridges, then I highly recommend you consider paying out a little more money yourself.

This printer is advertised as one of the world's smallest colour laser printers, coming in at approximately 216 mm x 356 mm. This sounds quite bulky compared to a small inkjet, but actually it barely takes up much more space, and in my opinion it looks nicer in an almost square shape on the desktop.

From cold, the printer takes between 45 seconds and 1 minute to print. This sounds like a long time, but once it begins it is very fast. Another advantage is that you can leave this printer turned on and it doesn't overheat. If left on, it goes into standby and also takes between 45 seconds and 1 minute to print once started up again.

The paper tray is easy to access, sitting comfortably at the front of the unit, and replacing the paper is a very quick process. The unit is quiet during operation, although the noise is noticeable. It is absolutely silent when in standby.

I have used this printer to print mainly text documents and web pages, and they always look wonderful. The only photo's I have printed were onto A4 paper, but the quality was actually very good, so I can only assume that on proper photo paper the results are brilliant.

The product comes with black toner and colour toner, power socket and starter pack. My unit did not come with a printer cable, but I was able to use the one from my previous printer. If you currently don't own a printer then you may need to purchase a cable to go with this, but they are relatively cheap if you search around.

If you are looking for a cheap, small, colour laser printer, then this product would be the perfect unit to get you started., and remember, "Once you've had a laser printer, you never go back to inkjet".

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

great laser printer prints quickly very compact and alot cheaper then other printers

This was the first printer I purchased as a business printer as I wanted something compact, laser as I was told it would be better for my purposes and alot cheaper then others. I did get it cheap so thought I was onto a good thing.
Its small and compact very easy to fit into a small space but it is extremely heavy I found too heavy for me to pick up and move. Its very fast at printing (to what Im used to anyway) 16 pages per minute (A4) and also quiet when printing. It has 4 coloured buttons on the front of it that flash to tell you if something needs doing-i.e paper loading. It comes with a pull out paper tray that sits at the bottom of the printer and the printed docments come out of the top. The paper try is great as it has lots of different sizes you can self adjust yourself by moving some sliders round.
The back all opens up for replacing/cleaning the cartridges. There are a fewcolours in the back (black, pink, blue yellow etc) and you have to be so careful with these as it is inkjet the colours are like chalk dust and go everywhere if the printer is knocked about which results on colours mixing and the printer not working, for me the printer was not any use as the picture (photographs) quality was not good enough and I couldn't get my cartridges clean enough to work better. Bt from what I ave read everywhere else it is only me thats had this problem.

Brilliant laser printer for any student or professional who does a moderate amount of printing.

I used this printer for academic year 08/09 and the whole experience has been a pleasure.

The design is stylish and is incredibly small for a laser printer.

It's not the fastest laser printer out there but the quality is excellent. Unless you are looking to print out hundreds of pages a day the speed will not disappoint you.

The printer has printed out my whole years work, and many of my friends reports as well, multiple times (20 reports as well as 3x 5000 word essays) including drafts and the ink levels are still above 60%.

The fact that the printer can connect wirelessly is a huge plus and is very convenient if you use a laptop or don't have room for the printer at the computer desk.

The asking price for this printer is a bargain, the replacement ink cartridges are fairly expensive but you certainly get a lot of printing for your money.

This printer replaced my HP 990cxi and 1220 c printer, it worked straight out of the box and despite being quoted £39 per toner cartridge I have found them for £23 on the net.The quality is as good if not better than our £700 works laser printer and for £129.00 is good value, its quiet as a mouse and printing some pics out on photo paper, wow good quality. I know they are more expensive to use than cartridge printers, but you know, we all spend a lot on digital cameras so why not buy one of these and reap the quality we deserve. And Samsung is becoming a world leader in tech goods, I now own a few of their products and are very happy with quality and reliability
