My parents bought me this laptop as a present just before I went to university. It has enough memory to keep all my essays on it and it has enough room to have games on it aswell.
The screen is big and it is perfect for writing and editing essays. It is also perfect for watching dvds on. The wide screen and Windows Media Player allows for a very good film watching experience.
The laptop is quite heavy but it is light enough for you to sit with it on your lap. The battery life is fairly good and it lasts for around 2 hours without being plugged in.What I like about this laptop is that when the battery gets down to 10% the laptop beeps so that you know you need to plug it in to charge. This means that you don't lose your work all of a sudden because you haven't noticed that the battery has run down.
The laptop has 3 usb ports so it has enough for plenty of things. It is also runs fairly fast and I haven't had any problems with it.
I would definitely recommend this laptop with it being perfect for people that are at university.
The Toshiba Satalite L450 is a great little Machine that has brought great Joy to my vrowsing expierence over the past 6-7 Months. It has 3GB of Ram allowing you to run many processer hungery applications and software. It also has 250GB Hard drive which is okay but it would be much better if it had more capacity as I find myself running out of space alot and having to delete some things or the comupter will simply just clog up and stop being able to run things as it has so low Disk memory. It is very easy to navigate with the brilliant Windows 7 OS which made me happy when I bought the machine as I was worried that it would come with the very poor Windows Vista which I hate to use.
The Laptop came with a built in webcam and software to easily allow you to use the webcam for video recording or just taking simple pictures. It also came with a Freee 1-Month Trial for Microsoft Office which is always a good thing if your wanting to type letters or essays or even just drawing on Microsoft paint.
It has 3 USB ports to allow you to connect Printers,Keyboards or a mouse. It has a VGA and HDMI port allowing you to hook the laptop up to a external display or even yout TV(Very good you should try it!). There is also a ethernet port if you want to hook it up to a router but it has standard Wifi built into the machine if you want to cut less all those annoying wires in the way!.
I love this Laptop and it isn't very dear. I picked it up in argos for around £300 months ago so it must be alot cheaper now so I recommend it if your wanting a easy to use cheap Laptop!
The Toshiba Satellite L450 is not bad at all. I picked mine up for around £349.99 from Argos and think I got quite a lot for my money.
It has a 15.6 inch screen, ideal for me as I write a lot of essays on it, it has 2GB of RAM and 250GB hard drive making for a speedy little machine. It comes with Windows 7 and a trial version of Microsoft home, I think this lasted about 3 months.
It also comes with the standard WIFI, DVD rewriter, multi card reader and USB ports. The only thing worth nothing here is that I cannot see any ports for headphones/microphone/webcam that are not USB.
The system itself is speedy, clear and bright display and everything is easy to find.
It is a good looking machine with a wide screen, good for watching movies or programmes online.
The only problem I have had with the laptop is that the buttons below the mouse pad do stick quite a lot and one of them has got some wear on it after only 6 months.
