This was the first laptop I ever owned. It worked like a dream for a few months then it went downhill. This laptop is still in use but not by me. After a few months it would stop charging, I found out that the charger was on its last legs so I needed another one and found the same one on eBay. That one broke a few months after that so I knew it was a problem with the design. I bought another one on eBay but made by a different company and that has lasted over a year. Then after than the charger pin inside the laptop broke and cost over £100 to fix. This is going to be a big list of problems. The case scratches very easily, the touch pad wears down very quickly, the delete key fell off and is very difficult to get back on, the battery is now broken and will not charge so has to be plugged in all the time, the battery will not come out because the battery release has broke and it is awfully slow. You may be thinking that it hasn't been looked after properly but it has, my current laptop has been going for ages and hasn't had a single problem. A friend of mine also owned a laptop from HP, similar to this and has some of the same problems, his delete key fell of as well and the charger broke, he took my advice and bought the different charger and he is still using that. The only good thing about this laptop is the driver update software that comes with it. If you are thinking about picking one up, don't bother. It will cost you more money than its worth to fix and isn't worth the trouble. I own an Acer and seems to be good quality.
