We had our Tefal Elegance Jug Kettle a few years ago now but we have many kettles since then and a fair few before as well. My other half has a thing about kettles and she changes them a lot, though I am not sure why as I am quite happy with a kettle that just boils water. We have since donated this kettle to the office where I work and it is still going very strong.
I think this kettle cost us somewhere in the region of £25 and it is very elegant looking and stylish into the bargain. It pours very well with no drips and it is easy to direct the flow into the cup or the teapot with accuracy. It is made of brushed stainless steel and would look great in most kitchens. It is weird as I remember this kettle flashed green when it was in operation and I think most of us are used to seeing a red button to indicate it is on. Also, you have to push the button UP for on and DOWN for off - completeley the wrong way round to my way of thinking.
This kettle boils very quickly and is quite quiet when in use. It has its filter hidden in its lid and a concealed element so cleaning it is very simple and easy.
The downside to this kettle is the fact that you cannot see how much water there is inside unless you actually take off the lid and when it is new the lid is quite tough to get off and it sticks a bit.
Stylish looking ketttle thoug and one I can recommend. ..

Tefal Elegance was one of my oldest kettles. I think I bought 3-4 years back and paid a good £35 for it. Well, I know £35 is a bit too much for a kettle but I was a little new to buying kitchen appliances- and I bought most of the things that people recommended and the companies I had heard of. And tefal was well known for its small kitchen appliances. But until today, I don't regret paying so much for this.
Tefal Elegance is a stainless steel kettle with black good quality plastic handle, spout and the base. It is a cordless kettle and most of the wiring in the base can be wound around the inside of the base, so it doesn't look ugly. It has a concealed heating element. The inner part of the kettle is also steel when compared to some newer other brand steel kettles. The steel finish and concealed heat element makes it very easy to clean.
The spout has an attachment with filter/mesh but this makes that part's cleaning a bit difficult. This also accumulates the limescale along the years.
The shape of the kettle is very elegant- just as it name!
The 3 KW heating element really shows its heat- it boils very quickly. Ideal for my partner who always wakes up late and needs to have his breakfast in a hurry!!
It holds upto 1.5 litres of water. there is a plastic pointer in the inside of the kettle which shows the maximum level for water. If overfilled, i have noticed that the water pours out and starts collecting on the base.
Since this was getting older, I bought 2 kettles after this but none could keep upto Tefal's expectations. So I had to go back to my old one again- because even after years, it still works perfectly fine- just the stainless steel finish is a bit dull and some limsescale collection on the spout. Rest of it is still perfect. Now I am waiting if this comes on some offer to buy it again.
I enjoyed my cuppa tea with the help of my Tefal and hope you enjoy yours now. Tea anyone????
I purchased the Tefal Elegance kettle at the same time as a Tefal toaster on a special offer deal. I paid in the region of £40 for the kettle, which on comparison to other models is quite pricey, however it was of good quality so I felt the price was worthy.
I have had the kettle for quite some time now with no problems whatsoever. It boils within seconds, which is great for when you are in a hurry!
The silver finish gives a stylish appearance contrasted with the black plastic lid and handle. The lid locks which is a great safety feature as no worry about spilling boiling water when lifting the kettle to pour.
The kettle is not corded which is great for ease of use in the kitchen. The only down side is the length of the cord from the plug to the base, I found it wasn't particularly long needing the kettle to be sat very close to the plug socket. This is not a major problem just not ideal if you want to re-organise the kitchen and move appliances around!
Overall a great product which I am extremely pleased with.
