The Morphy Richards 43673 kettle is good at getting the job done of boiling water. It's fast and energy efficient also doesn't tip forward when you lift it no matter how full it is so has good design. The water gauge is big which makes it easy to read from both sides also the 360 degree base makes it easy for both right and left handed people. The kettle is black with a neat aluminium type finish which looks cool enough to go in a office or home environment. It has a whistle which can be switched off under the base unit. A cool feature of the kettle is that it gives out a blue glow when filled with water whilst it is being heated. The feature that makes this kettle different from the rest is the ability to heat water automatically at two different ranges of temperature. The 'tea' setting is a standard 100 degrees Celsius to boil; the 'coffee' setting stops the heating process at around 80 - 85 degrees Celsius. This feature is designed to prevent the flavour of coffee being affected by using water that is too hot. I've noticed though the ability to heat to this lower temperature is also useful for other things such as hot water bottles which usually have a caution on it stating 'Do not use boiling water'. This is also more energy efficient than boiling at full range and letting the water cool down a little in order for you to pour into the hot water bottle. Switching between the two temperature ranges is very simple. When the switch is in the off (up) position the switch slides easily from the two positions. Also when the temperature has been selected, push down to turn the kettle on for either temperature is all you have to do. It's also not possible to switch accidentally changing to the other temperature option as the water is being heated due to the shape of the track that it runs on. Overall the Morphy Richards 43673 kettle is a very well designed product, which is really simple to use. The dual temperature feature makes it more versatile than other standard kettle's. I bought the kettle with matching toaster as a bundle on sale from Argos and cost me around £35 together. I think the kettle on its own is around £25 - £30.
