      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      It does the job!

A couple of days before moving houses my kettle decided to die on me, so rather than do without whilst decorating I decided to pop upto Asda to get a kettle.
I had every intention of getting a cheapy one untill we redecorated the kitchen but when we had a look my hubby spotted this one on offer for around £9! Bargain I thought, so we got this model and I was quite pleased with it, as it saved me buying one in a month or 2 when the kitchen was ready.

It has a traditional teapot look about it which I liked, and it's cordless.

It has a concealed element which reduces the limescale so I'm told, but we don't get limescale here so that wouldn't have been a problem anyway.

The base has a 360 degree swivel base so the kettle can sit on it anyway.

It's easy to fill and simple to use. It also has boil dry protection so if you accidently flip the switch on it will automatically go off.

      Bad points ~~~

Within 2 maybe 3 months of having the kettle the little flip switch cracked and then broke completely. The lid seems to get stuck too and it's quite hand to get your hand under the handle to lift the lid off without knocking your fingers! Ouch!
After giving the kettle a wipe over the Kenwood sign on the black base decided to wipe off too!!

It's still being used though as it does the job and boils the water!!!

A plus though is that it's quite quiet.

A classic style kettle in high grade polished stainless steel with an ergonomic handle which provides balance when carrying, filling or pouring / The 3kw concealed element reduces the build up of limescale and makes the kettle much more efficient at heating / It has been designed with a 360 degree easy fit base so it can be guided into position and there is cord storage to prevent unwanted trailing flex / There is an economic minimum boil and an automatic switch off and boil dry protection / Short name: Kenwood SK960
