      A fun counting book

Charlie and lola are popular with the children in my nursery so they picked this up as soon as they saw it on the library bus that visits us. It's rrp is £4.99. It is a 7 page board book wihich features Charlie and Lola.

On each page there is number up to 10 with a different picture to match - 1 - brother Charlie, 2 - toothbrushes, 3 fishfingers, 4 moon squirters (known to us as tomatoes) etc . The pictures feature 'real pictures' of biscuits fishfingers, felt pens, fish fingers, tomatoes as well as illustrations and shows the number as well as the written form so for 1 you have a 1 on the page and also one.

The book is fun for children to look at the pictures and count though you will for some pictures have to ask the question for what they are looking for for example the page with 2 toothbrushes on features lola and a lion brushing there teeth so it is not immediately obvious to children what they should be counting.

I recommend this book for Charlie and Lola fans the pictures are very Charlie and Lola like the show. It teaches children numbers and is a fun way of counting as well as offering other points for discussion such as 'do you like fish fingers?' 'What would you eat them with'.

A nice fun book for young children.
