      Excellent first book

I bought this book for my son when he was about 6 weeks old. I bought lots of different black and white toys or books for him, as apparently they love black and white! Well my son absolutely loved this book when he was a baby, and even now at 18 months old, this is his favourite book! This book is a hard backed book, which you have to be careful with, and watch babies putting it in their mouth, my son has chewed every side and corner of this book and the cardboard does come off into his mouth when it gets wet. I am forever getting bits of it out of his mouth, he seems to love trying to eat it! The book looks a mess now, it could do with replacing! Each page has different shapes and different colours on. Some pages are just black and white, some are pink/yellow/blue. The shapes are circles, spots, squares and dots. My son just loves looking at every single page, he is fascinated with this book, and he can turn the pages by himself now so just keeps himself entertained with it! The shapes and colours just keep my sons attention for ages. There are no words in the book, it is just colours and shapes, very simple and basic, but very bold and eye catching for little ones. I always give this to my son to hold and look at whilst in the car or when I am changing his nappy, it just really keeps him occupied, he loves turning the pages and turning the book upside down. I paid around £3.50 for this book, and it was worth every penny! My son loves it, and although the edges and corners have nearly been destroyed, I can still see this lasting and being played with for years to come!
