One of my favourite pieces of jewellery is a Silver Pave Shell Pendant. My husband brought it for me quite a few years ago from amazon.co.uk for around £30, it currently sells for £34.20 with free delivery, I have never seen it for sale any where else.
The pendant is in the shape of a butterfly; I like fake butterflies but would freak out if a real one was to attach its self to my neck. One thing that needs mentioning is that the pendant is delivered as pendant only with no chain and I caan't remember what kind of packaging it came in.
The butterfly pendant is made of 925 sterling silver and is inlaid with shell, like the picture above. The shell inlay is beautiful in greens and blues and catches the light wonderfully, the silver of the butterfly has a small amount of detail engraved into and is very eye catching.
The butterfly is 3.5cm high and 3cm wide and weighs 6.6grams, so is quite bulky, but the way that it is made makes it look quite delicate. It hangs well from my necklace and very rarely flips over and I hardly ever notice it.
I have worn the pendant on and off for many years and never had any problems with it tarnishing or the inlay coming loose, I sleep in it, shower in it etc. I have never seen anyone else with a pendant the same so I think it is quite an individual piece of jewellery.
I think it will suit most age ranges and goes nicely with most styles of dress and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion you want to wear it.
There is not really much more I can say about this pendant other than it is beautiful, well made and well worth £30 and would make a great gift for a loved one.
Thank you for reading.
