“ Brand: Pandora / Type: Charm „
I have had my Pandora charm bracelet for just over two years now. It's taking some time but it is slowly getting heavier and becoming more full as I tend to get some charms on special occasions such as my birthday, Christmas and Valentine's day. There are lots of charms to choose from, both gold and silver, as well as glass and different coloured ones. Mine are all silver, some with hints of my favourite colour purple on them. I have always wanted my bracelet to be silver, but with hints of purple and gold on too, sticking to those specific colours rather than having a multi-coloured bracelet. I received this silver heart shaped charm for my birthday last year from my boyfriend. Although it does look plain and compared to the majority of the other charms available by Pandora, it really is, I was happy I received this. I actually had so many of the animal charms or ones with patterns on that this charm seemed to 'calm' my bracelet down, and also stand out against the others on my bracelet. It is very shiny and is exactly as shown in the image above. Along the top it has '925 ALE' engraved on this, but this is small and not really noticeable when the charm is on my bracelet and I'm wearing it. The engraving is shown on all Pandora charms to show that is is genuine and real silver. I received this in a little white jewellery box. Too ensure that the charm does not move or roll about whilst in the box, it is fastened in with a little pink ribbon. It looks lovely when its in the box like that and so makes for a lovely gift. My only problem with this charm is that it needs to be polished/cleaned more often than any of the other charms I own. This is because it is plain meaning that any scruffy or general marks will show up very easily on the charm. After I have given it a quick clean though it goes straight back to how shiny it was when I first received it. I often don't realise that my charms could do with a quick clean until I have put them next to a brand new charm on the bracelet, or if I am looking at charms in the Pandora shop, I notice a lot then too! This charm is still available and can be purchased from many jewellery shops that sell Pandora, or directly from Pandora itself. You cannot purchase from the Pandora website but many other retailers sell them online. The Pandora website also has a 'find my nearest store' feature which will then show you where your nearest Pandora shop is, if you would rather go and see the charm yourself first before purchasing it. It is priced at £30 which is one of the cheaper charms available from Pandora.
I recieved this pandora heart shaped charm as a Valentines Day gift the first year I had my pandora bracelet. The charm was just £20.00 back at Valentines Day 2010, it now retails for £30.00. The pandora model number of the heart charm is 790137. This little heart charm is an ideal Valentines Day gift for someone, or maybe even as an anniversary gift, or even just to say I love you, you could even just treat yourself to this little heart. The heart charm is very cute, it is actually just very plain, it is just a round puffy heart, but it looks really nice on your bracelet. I believe that this is one of the charms that you can get engraved, you could get initials on it, or a date, to make it even more special. The heart charm is also available with either a clear or a pink cubic zirconia on the front if you wanted something a little bit more fancy. There is also a limited edition Royal wedding heart charm with a navy blue spinel on the front. I actually just prefer the plain heart though. The heart is stamped on the top with 925 (for sterling silver) and ALE (for pandora). This is a lovely little charm and it is definately one of my favourites, this is just a really simple charm but it does look really effective on your bracelet.
~~~~~~~~~~~ INTRODUCTION ~~~~~~~~~~~ Last week I received this silver heart Pandora charm as part of my Valentines Day present from my lovely boyfriend. Some of you may have read my previous review about my Pandora Charm bracelet, and this heart is another charm to add to the rapidly growing amount of charms that are weighing down my wrist. Hearts have long since been the symbol of love, so what better charm to buy to show your love for that special someone on Valentine's Day. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHAT IS PANDORA? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For anyone who is not aware of Pandora, they are a global jewellery company who were founded in Denmark. Although Pandora sells necklaces, earrings, watches and rings, the company is best known for their customised charm bracelets. Pandora jewellery is now sold in over 50 countries including UK, America, Germany, Australia and of course Denmark where it first began. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ THE CHARM BRACELET ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Pandora charm bracelet is a modern twist on the traditional charm bracelets that have been around for years. Pandora charms come in bead format which screw onto the bracelets and can then easily be removed, replaced, and moved around. The bracelets come in silver, gold, and leather, and prices range from £40 to £1,100. The bracelets fit around 25 charms on it depending how long the bracelet is (i.e. the bigger your wrists, the more charms you can fit on your bracelet!) Pandora have made a massive range of charms which is growing all the time, and there are several types including star sign charms, age milestone charms, animal charms, and coloured beads. ~~~~~~~~ THE CHARM ~~~~~~~~ I received my charm in a small square white box imprinted with the Pandora logo, which is how Pandora charms are always packaged. Upon opening the box, the charm was fastened to the interior with a small piece of white/cream ribbon that was threaded through it. I always think this method of packaging is lovely and looks classy and expensive. The charm itself is the perfect size to look good on the bracelet and is also a good size in proportion to the other charms that live on my bracelet. It's around 8mm tall and around the same width and is a perfect heart shape made from shiny silver. It is stamped '925 ALE' to show that it is sterling silver, as are the rest of the silver Pandora charms that I own. The charm is easy to add to the bracelet, as the bracelet has a clasp which easily opens, and then the charm is screwed on to a small screw point of which there are four on the bracelet, and the clasp is clipped shut again. This charm is plain silver but it's also available with a small round cubic zirconia in the middle, in plain gold, or in gold with a sapphire, ruby, or diamond on it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ UK PRICE AND AVAILIBILITY ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The RRP for this charm is £30 for the plain silver version, but you can pay anything up to £600 if you opt for the gold heart with the (very tiny) diamond on it. Surely there are better things in life to spend £600 on than one charm for a bracelet, but hey, each to their own! There are many places to purchase Pandora charms, they're widely available. The official website is www.pandora.net where you can purchase charms or look for you're nearest stockist. There are also an increasingly large number of stores around the UK. The two stores I normally go to are the York store, as well as the newly opened High Wycombe branch, and I have been to a couple in London. As well as the Pandora shops themselves, Pandora is also stocked at several other jewellers, just check on the website where your nearest is if you're not sure, or order online. I have done quite a lot of trawling the net for places to purchase Pandora charms at discount prices, including looking on Ebay. Unfortunately it would seem that any charms that are discounted by more then a couple of pounds are fake ones so beware! There are literally millions of beads and charms out there that will fit onto the Pandora bracelet but if you want to purchase authentic Pandora charms then I recommend only buying from Pandora themselves or one of their stockists-just to be on the safe side. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OVERALL OPINION ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I was thrilled to receive this heart charm and wear it with my pride on my Pandora bracelet. It is so simple, yet stylish and cute, and was a great way for my boyfriend to give me a romantic gift on Valentine's Day. Price wise I think that Pandora products in general can be a little overpriced, and this charm is pretty much in line with the rest of the range. Having said that I do think Pandora make high quality goods, and as this is an item that would be purchased as a gift or treat, it's not too bad. Luckily for me I dislike gold jewellery so my bracelet and charms are all silver, which is considerably cheaper than the gold range! I highly recommend this charm to any guys who have a girlfriend/wife who has a Pandora bracelet as it is a lovely gift. Also to any girls who have the bracelet and just want to treat themselves to a cute and pretty charm!
This Pandora Heart Charm is extremely popular, every bracelet I see more or less has one of these on. The symbol of love or for those who just love hearts, it makes a perfect gift. It is made out of sterling silver and does carry some weight to the item and compared to some of the other sterling silver charms this is great value for money as it is quite a chunky charm and therefore takes up some space on the bracelet. This charm does not only come in sterling silver cost of £20, it can also be bought in 14ct Gold at a cost of £210 and another popular one is the heart with a cubic zirconia stone ( of clear and pink) at a price of £30. This item is hard wearing and unlike some of the pendant charms you will not have a problem at all as it can be worn on a daily basis. I have always bought these through authorised Pandora dealers and a friend of mine has bought me one from the range of lovelinks. The lovelinks one does fit on the Pandora bracelet and costs £11.95. Again this item is sterling silver so I do feel you are merely paying £20 for the name of Pandora. I have started to now buy a few of these from a website called www.allcharms.co.uk as additional add on presents and they have gone down a treat! I do though feel compared to the rest of the Pandora Charms you can get for £20 the heart is great value, however some people do not like the price of Pandora and therefore there are cheaper alternatives. The lovelinks range is the only other alternative I know so unable to comment on any others out there. I don't know any jewellers that stock lovelinks on the high street however if you go online you can find plenty! I have rated this 4 /5 due to the fact you can get a cheaper alternative of the same quality just not the same name!
