I will start by saying I have this innate ability to destroy an iron within a week of buying or being given one, either by dropping them or by hand of god style acts! Now this iron has survived for almost a year and it has been dropped (on more than one occasion), man handled and has been slobbered on by a dog with amorous intensions! The iron has a nice feel to it and when you hold it doesn't feel too heavy or cheaply made. It has a good weight to it even without water in it. It is very easy to operate (as are most irons) and has one dial which you twist to increase or decrease the heat intensity. There are also two buttons and a slider on top of the iron, for controlling the amount the iron steams (the slider), to give and extra boost of steam (the left button) and to give a spray of water (the right button). The iron does come with a filling jug for the right amount of water. It also does have a nice long power cord so you don't have to be kneeling down by the socket and moving the item you are ironing instead of the iron! I have found the iron to be nicely robust and definitely worth the price tag (currently around the £50 mark). I managed to pick up mine for half price at TJ Hughes and paid £25 plus as a bonus it is purple so my partner loves it too!
