I use this iron when I stay with my mother and can definitely say it is not the best one out there. I much prefer my Breville VIN143 although there are also contrasting opinions on this.
I do like that this iron is reasonably cheap and won't break the bank to replace if it were to become broken or unusable. The handle has a good amount of grip and isn't hard to hold nor does it slip if you have sweaty hands - this is particularly an annoying issue many people face specifically throughout the summer months!
It irons well and covers a large space of clothing with each 'stroke' of the iron. Wrinkles don't come back and when it works it truly gets them away and removes them for good, although it takes a few 'strokes' to get them out which can be time consuming and generally isn't an attractive thing in ironing.
It's bulky to hold and can be hard to not knock with your elbow if you have a particularly small ironing board, as does my mother. This is dangerous and hazardous, but thankfully the cable is generously lengthed and stretches out enough. It's also bulky to store and can be difficult to find a place where it can properly sit up.
There is a great, instant steam release option which is one of the more significant positives. It is done quickly and easily and works effectively.
It's a good starter iron but isn't great for busy families with lots of ironing to do.
