This morning a milk van with www.milk&more.co.uk parked in the middle of my road, blocking my car in when I was trying to leave for work. The milkman visited one house, and then another, even though he could see that I was blocked in, he made no eye or verbal contact to apologise or indicate that he would be gone in a moment. So I eventually got out of my car to ask how long he was going to be. He ignored me. I asked again and he very rudely replied "as long as it takes". I said I would report his behaviour, and he replied " do what you like ". I certainly will never be using this company, I will never recommend it to anyone, and I will discuss this behaviour with my nieghbours who do use the service. I had to click on a STAR to submit this review, and I cannot unclick on it. I did not click on a star to rate it a one star service. I rate it as a Zero star service.
From day one this absolutely terrible company has managed to get everything wrong. It's been four weeks since I started using their online ordering service, and as yet I haven't received a single pint of milk. I've made numerous calls to their call centre, which is located in a foreign country. Companies like these try to convince people that their staff are UK based, and have half a brain cell between them, by giving them names like Chantelle, etc. I've made so many complaints having been charged for deliveries that haven't turned up (when every other delivery company has had no problem finding my address) and apparently they only have an extension number, not a full phone number for the delivery depot in Orpington. They claim that someone will call me back (but this can't be guaranteed) and true to form not a single complaint has made it beyond the ejits answering the phones in mumbai! I've never experienced customer service like it. If only i could give no stars....
I have been using milk and more for 6mths now. At first it was good and gradually it has become useless. For the person who wrote that she thinks people are writing bad reviews for revenge, you are probably correct but as Milk and More customer service is in Phillipines and they couldn't give a hoot when they talk to you on the phone about their poor service. Then you are unable to email them is an absolute joke, considering everything else is done online. After numerous smaller issues, missing items, milk past use by date ercToday was the final straw when they left the glass bottle on my doorstep, I have a front opening door so as I've opened the door it has knocked the bottles and smashed everywhere. I can't clear up as I've hurt my back.Their response? Well refund you that item!! Furious.
I live in a small village in Bedfordshire with no local shops, so the Milk & More service is a godsend. The bad reviews I read on here to do not reflect the excellent service I receive. Never had a failed delivery, sometimes things are unavoidably unavailable but I have not been charged for them. On one occasion I messed up my order and the milkman left what he thought I probably meant so I was not left without; he was right!Perhaps it's down to the individual milkman; I have nothing but praise for mine.
This is my first review (i feel its needed) I have been used milk and more for a couple months and at first they had prompt delivery and everthing sent has been of good quality. However they do debit money from your account even when the items have not been delivered and this is were the problem lies . They did not deliver and as of late have not refunded me for several months now!!I have called them practically everyday and there customer service has been poor and disinterested , and i will defiantley no be shopping there again and now been robbed of my money. DO NOT SHOP HERE! Unless you like giving your money away and bad customer service!Id give it no stars if i could down to this:@
Had a delivery at 9.30am, usually get it at 6.30am. Don't know what happened, but it is not acceptable as all stuff was left out to get soaked in rain. When asking customer service for compensation, they said they could not do this as they did not have the authority to do so. Completely useless!
Having had a reasonable start to this service i can tell its now getting worse Previously the odd item was missing, now am am let down almost every order. The milkman I KNOW only delivers and is not responsible so he does his best The worst part is that often the bits that are missing are DAIRY ... THATS ODD FROM DAIRY CREST. For example i ordered cream and butter for today, bread, biscuits on Monday, The bread and the biscuits arrived the butter and cream are not available with NO substitutions. I can live without the things i dont expect from dairy crest but i EXPECT DAIRY from dairy crest. The problems get worse when you ring milk and more as they say we will send a message to the depot How about you just deliver what i ask or you tell management. Get your act together quickly before i give up
I tried milk and more a few years ago and was disappointed when my order didn't turn up and they claimed that they hadn't received the order. I gave up on them then.I thought as it had been a few years, perhaps they've improved? My fridge isn't working properly, so I've been having to pop to the co-op and get 1 pint a day... Maybe I'll give them a second chance... They wouldn't even let me re-register!My conclusion - this company suck and it's a shame there is no alternative in the area... I'll stick to walking to the co-op every morning even if it does mean getting up half an hour earlier.
Well !!! After reading the reviews it is obvious that you all have a different milkman than mine. I have been with 'Milk and More' for about 9 months and have not had one single complaint. If ever I have ordered anything extra, it has been delivered the next day .Richard( the milkman) is pleasant ,reliable and I would recommend him to anyone.
We really, really tried ... to get rid of all these plastic milk containers we use in our little office ... to order organic milk from the "local milkman" in glass bottles instead ... to talk to the "service centre" of milk and more a few times after the first delivery hasn't arrived ... to talk to the "service centre" again a few times after the second delivery hasn't arrived ... to talk to a supervisor from the "service centre" after the third delivery hasn't arrived ... and today, after the fourth time, we cancelled our contract. How ignorant can a company be with new customers? It's unbelievable... unbelievable like the fact, that the "local milk man" actually runs a call centre on the Philippines!!! This is most likely the reason behind all the problems we had. This whole experience has been very disillusioning; we will continue buying milk from the local Supermarket.
I stopped using milkandmore 2 years ago due to their attrocious delivery service, wrong items or none at all. Having come out of hospital this weekend i thought there may have been an improvement in standards, so placed my order. no delivery! They are adamant they have delivered the goods even tho i have cctv recording 24/7. Next day i received my items eggs broken covering potatoes, onions etc. Next day waiting for replacement as promised...guess what? NOTHING. Nothing on there computer to say credit for none delivery monday and no reorder of the eggs i have waited 3 days to receive. Wow without the local children i would have been left with food shortage, also having to pay to get egg yolk off my floors as i am disabled. Lets see what tomorrow brings? literally.
This review systematically explains why Milk & More is unable to rectify any problem with its delivery service. The result is that milkmen are given a bad name, and customer time is wasted. Tesco have solved these problems, and thus they offer a better alternative. Milk and More is an online service that dispatches orders to a milk depot in your area. Based on your settings they send an email to the depot to fill your request. The emails are never confirmed. So, you may find that you will be billed, but never have had your milk delivered. In this case, it is up to you to phone the service and request an investigation. I did this, and the complaint was listened to with kindness. Unfortunately, the customer care folk are stringing you along. They can't do anything other than check with the depot. That check is very difficult. By the time you call, the depot is closed. Even if the depot is open, they have to find the specific milkman to figure out the problem. In my case, that milkman said he had delivered. But he hadn't, because the milk never, ever showed up. Or did he? I phoned the depot directly, and I spoke to a personal friend. They said the email to deliver had never shown up. The solution to the problem is have some means for the milkman to confirm delivery e.g. a route map, but Milk and More can't do that because of their system. On the other hand, Tesco do. So I've switched to a weekly delivery, and piggy backed all my groceries on the order. In case you're wondering, over the course of 2 months, we called 10 times to try to have the no delivery problem solved. I worked hard to make customer service to take the problem seriously, but it just did not work out.
Reading the negative reviews on here I can't but think that these are the minority few that have a bad experience and can't help themselves but shout at the rooftops for revenge.I think the service you receive is largely down to your local milkman. The milkman in my area must be a saint looking at these reviews as I have have had 3 deliveries a week for over 100 weeks and have yet to have one single problem. Not a single missed delivery, not a single late delivery.I have chopped and changed my regular items, gone on holiday (and notifed via website), added new singular items.. all done via the website and the order was complete and correct for each and every one.The bad reviews here need to be taken with a pinch of salt.
I thought this looked good and wanted a delivery of 7 items, twice a week, to our door. Bread, milk, butter, eggs, fruit juice, yoghurt and cheese. - The website is very hard to fathom. Prices don't add up in multiples so you can't see your totals - The passwords require no character repetition and numbers. I have a password system and had to dream up a new one which (naturally) I then forgot - When I placed the order it refused my credit card. Not the card's fault. The system wasn't working. - When I tried to order using the direct debit it was also refused. Again the system wasn't working. - I complained over the phone and was told the credit card system would be up and running in a few days. - By now I'd been trying for about 3-4 hours to get this sorted and was losing patience. - A week later I tried again. This time it said I had 'exceeded credit'. They explained by phone they only allow £75 worth of groceries by direct debit - but nowhere did my shopping basket say what my totals were so I couldn't just remove one or two items to bring the total down. - Also there is no 'alert' to tell you that you've gone over £75. It just refuses your order and you have to start again. According to the people on the phone you're meant to be able to 'top up' from the direct debit using a credit card. This system wasn't working either. I made 3 phone calls to customer services, eventually asking to speak to Mike Sheldon, the CEO I think, and was told they would call me back. Funnily enough - no call. Oh - and I was left listening to music while I waited. The customer services dept is under-staffed. I am going to close my account today and go back to the corner shop. This is a gigantic, frustrating, waste of time. No doubt they'll get the cancelation wrong and continue to bring the goods, charge me for them, then I'll get demands for non-payment - blah blah blah. I can see it coming. It just didn't work. What a terrible shame. I had high hopes!! UPDATE - I did get a call back from customer services - a day later than promised. I explained I'd closed the account and they basically didn't try to get me to change my mind.
After my debit card expired a year ago I was sent an email that the last payment couldn't be taken, so I called up and left details. Naively I thought this would start the monthly payments back on course. Without warning I have just received a call after ** a year ** and told that no payments have been taken and I now owe them over £300. After 24 years of using MilkandMore and their various predecessors thinking that it would be a good idea to support a local milkman, I've cancelled the order. Although customer services (so-called) are apologetic, that doesn't solve the problem. I will NEVER use them again. Back to the supermarket!
