A lovely fresh tart from Yankee
I really like the fresh and clean scents from Yankee instead of the sweet and fruity ones which I think can smell too artificial and sickly.
I usually only buy samplers and tarts because there are just so many to choose from so I want to be able to try them all out and only buy the bigger candles when I really like an aroma.
The sunwashed linen tart is a really clean fresh smell that really does smell like fresh clean sheets. It is really natural and even though it isn't a strong fragrance it seems to spread throughout the whole room and leave it smelling much fresher even when the tea light has been blown out.
Along with the clean fresh smell there is also a slight smell of lemon but this is really subtle and doesn't over power the clean linen smell.
The wax tarts work out great value because they are really cheap and only cost around about £1.20. They are supposed to last about 8 hours but I find that it depends on what tart you actually buy. The country linen was really long lasting more than some others I have tried and also because I cut my tarts in half to make them go further it lasted even longer.
It was also one of the best tarts for melting quickly so that the smell could start getting round the room. With some other tarts I have noticed that they can take ages to actually melt. It also hardened quickly when I blew the tea light out meaning that it wasn't still evaporating and was ready to use again for next time.
The sunwashed linen tart before it is even unwrapped is really aromatic and I could see it being used as a clothes freshener because it really does fragrance the air around it. It also really reminds me of a posh soap because it has that kind of clean soapy smell but not in a horrible lab created way and is much more fresh and natural than that.
I would recommend this tart if you are looking for a nice clean smelling one that will freshen up whatever room you put it in and won't overpower or be offensive to anyone coming in to your house.
