Candles are a wonderful way to create ambiance and a lovely scented home. I was bought a Lily Flame candle by my boyfriend and romantically he bought me 'love' Ahh.
==Price and availability==
The candle retails at £8.50 and you can buy it from card shops, garden centres and the like. I always think that a well presented candle makes a great gift and this one looks expensive as the tin and exterior design is really funky and attractive.
This candle is set in a nice tin with a lid. The tin is silver but has a red wrapping with the word love on. This is a lovely present for a loved one. I especially like candles that have a lid and the reason I love candles with a lid is because I hate to see them bunt out and a bit spent. I much prefer them capped and neat looking. The dimensions of the candle are around 7cm x 6 cm so it is a good round size with a burn time of 35 hours.
The candle smells of warming sandalwood and patchouli which is a very retro 70's smell. It smells subtle and warming and I enjoy the scent. The scent of the candle when burnt is not overly strong but it does carry in the room and it gives the living room a nice pleasant aroma. Ot does not carry into other rooms though. It has a really sensual relaxing aroma to it which is pleasant to experience after a long day at work. I think the fragrance is a classic one and will suit many age ranges and genders. If it was not called Love, and was called friendship I would buy it for friends as gifts.
The wax is a lovely rich red colour and fits the patchouli scent really well. The candle burns well and evenly so that it lasts longer and the wick is thick and sturdy. Some candles get small wicks that break and this results in me having to throw them away. This burns steadily and gives out a lovely glow. The wax does not melt overly easy so this helps the candle last longer. I think it is a really nice candle and although I had a bad experience with a previous Lily flame candle this has certainly lived up to my expectations. I would consider other candles from the range now especially as just looking on ebay you can get them for around £5.00 each. Although I am always a bit dubious with buying cheap scented candles as I would be worried that they could be old and the essential oils would have disappeared. The scent is not overly powerful in the first place so I can imagine that the fragrance will not last well over time.
Overall, this is a nice warming fragranced candle that lasts for a long time with a scent that is relaxing and sensual. It would make a lovely present as it is good quality and it looks expensive.
