      No Melting!

As a typical woman I love buying candles, but I always find that the candles look so nice new that I never actually want to light them as then they will start to melt and not look as nice! Therefore I admittedly do usually buy them just for display. I would also be concerned lighting candles now that my son is beginning to crawl, so the concept of a candle that lights up and still remains in its new condition without having to strike a match sounded Genius! There are a few different types of Battery operated candles available at the moment, the ones that originally caught my eye were called "Frostfire Mooncandles" which were controlled by a remote control, but these were quite expensive. That is why I decided to have a look at what Argos had to offer and I came across these LED candles in their catalogue. There are Ivory in colour and just a nice size at 12cm in Height and 31cm in circular width. They do actually look like expensive candles which make them a very classy addition to my Living room. They come in a pack of 3 and I've positioned mine by my Fire place. They are Battery operated and each take 2 x AAA Batteries and then there is a Switch on the bottom of each one to turn them on, the batteries seem to be lasting quite a while too since I haven't had to change them again since and it's been a couple of months. One Switched on, they dim and flicker slightly just exactly the same as a real match-lit candle would! They do look real and whenever I have friends round they are usually surprised to find that they are LED candles. I always switch each candle on with a slight pause in between each one so that they flicker alternatively rather than at the exact same rate (they wouldn't look as real otherwise). They look really gorgeous particularly at night and they add a lovely atmosphere to the room. At £14.99 these really were a great buy as they look fantastic, I can't wait to have these lit up in the future dark Winter nights!
