highly recommended by me and my bin!

Early last year I bought a Brabantia bin as I had long lusted after a durable, smell concealing and aesthetic bin and the Brabantia ticked all the boxes. As I was buying it on amazon with some vouchers, and contributing cash towards half the price I opted for the Stainless steel as it was the cheapest option. Fast forward 11 months and it had really started looking worse for wear ; very grubby stained with fingerprints from the little one and some food on the side and wanting to start a new year with a new clean home i set about googling some stainless steel cleaning products as a simple water and cloth had not been doing any justice!

I initially read a review about the Cif branded Stainless Steel cleaner, but as I got into Tesco and browsed the aisle I saw their version for £1.50 cheaper so being the savvy bargain hunter that I am, of course I opted for this one. It is a 350ml spray so is smaller than the Cif version which is 500ml but I am not going to need to clean my bin daily so I know this one will last for ages!

It comes in a trigger style bottle, a bit like a professional hair spray, but nonetheless has a nice sleek look to it, very cylindrical body shaped bottle with an easy to use spray mechanism. There is a little catch on the side, to turn so the spray can be used, bit like an on/off feature so no little ones would be able to get hold of it and spray away. It says it is PH balanced and is suitable for all metal surfaces. It contains a natural degreaser to ensure surfaces are left with a shiny clean.

It comes out in an effective dose, quite ample comes out with a squirt and I used it by spraying it directly onto the surface (my bin) and using a microfibre cloth (also courtesy of Tesco) I wipe the bin in a circular motion and it instantly leaves it looking streak free, gleaming surface and removes dirt and stains instantly. There were some stubborn stains which required me to do a bit of scrubbing, but in the most case it was completely effortless and so hard working it is one of the best surface cleaners I have ever used! Feeling very enthusiastic and enjoying the after effect of cleanliness, I turned my hand to then cleaning the cooker, around the door to the oven and on the surface where all the knobs are and this stainless steel cleaner went straight to work cutting through the grease to leave my cooker gleaming and absolutely gorgeous!

Funnily enough, the best thing about this cleaner is the smell. It smells really nice, a little bit like a candy bubble gum smell which is not too over powering, but quite unusual for most cleaning products I tend to use.
On the whole i was really impressed with this steel cleaner and I know I will be using it on many an occasion to go round cleaning any metallic surfaces as I perhaps am addicted to the smell! For its cleaning properties it is absolutely excellent, and I cannot fault it in any case as it transformed the look of my grubby bin in the small space of seconds and for that it is absolutely worth the £2.50 I paid. It doesn't come across as a harsh chemical, quite gentle on the skin but with a suitable cloth it is very powerful and really does leave metallic surfaces shiny, glistening and stain free!
