      Dust pan

Harris victory deep dust pan With a multitude of leaves to sweep up and banish I wanted a heavy duty dustpan which could scoop them all up without many trips to the bin and the worry of them blowing out of the dust pan before I get there. I bought this in my local b and q store and it cost £5.48, so quite good value given that it really is very sturdy. The dust pan is black and shaped as most dust pans are, with a handle (obviously) and a deeper area to hold the items swept up. The reason I bought this is that the area in which rubbish is swept into is much deeper than on a standard dust pan. It easily holds a lot of leaves allowing me to sweep and clear in record time. The rubber lip at the front of the dustpan sits easily even on my quite uneven outdoor ground so I don't have to constantly press down to get smaller bits of rubbish like dust and sand. The handle is a good size and whilst not padded or softened in any way it does have a good grip and is long enough to keep me reasonably far from the ground when sweeping rubbish into the dust pan. Its very good quality and strong and shows no signs of cracking or of wear and tear. I am dreadful for remembering to put things back into the shed and even with the cold weather and being tossed around in the wind, it hasn't cracked anywhere. Because it is a strong dust pan I can also sweep up larger bits of debris such as bits of bricks which were lurking about the place when I bought the house and it manages to carry them with ease. VERDICT... This is a very strong and aptly named heavy duty dust pan. It holds lots of rubbish and makes what is not my favourite job more bearable. Recommended as an out door dustpan but for indoors maybe a smaller one! Thanks for reading Daniela xx
