a great cleaner at a great price

What is daisy? Daisy is a value/discount brand available at Tesco. I would say it is as cheap, if not cheaper than value products. This spray comes in a 500ml spray bottle and costs 46p. Surely it cant work at that price!! How wrong you would be to think that. over the years since leaving home, what a shock that was having to clean my own bathroom, I have tried all sorts. Cream cleaners seem to leave a residue and needs a lot of rinsing, wipes are good for a whip around but no good for a grubby bath so for a while we used foam spray. I hated it, it would make me cough and difficult to breath and I don't suffer from asthma. Also the price was a bit steep for us...so I finally managed to persuade my fiancé to try Daisy bathroom cleaner. he said it would never work at that price, I said what did we have to lose? it was 46p....if it didn't work it isn't the end of the world is it. So what's it like? the first thing that hits you is the smell...its a light flowery fragrance, not too strong and none of the horrible chemical smells some cleaners give off. It sprays as a foam, which you leave on for 30 seconds before wiping off. My fiancé did try just rinsing but that didn't work, but a light rub over, it doesn't need masses of muscle and scrubbing to work.... a light rub and the dirt from 2 children, their dad who has run through mud and the dog who joined in, is washed off easily. The best thing is that the cleaner no longer makes me run away coughing!!!! Also, you can smell the daisy for hours afterwards, I love the smell so now quite enjoy cleaning the bathroom. We are very generous with the spray and go through a bottle a week...but at 46p we cant complain at all about it. Would I recommend? oh yes!!! defiantly!! it is, in my eyes, better than other types of cleaner, and as good as other brands of the same product. If the price puts you off, makes you think its so cheap it must be rubbish, then what is 46p if it doesn't work? nothing? its worth a try isn't it??? go on....what have you got to lose? give it a try and see (and smell) the difference. 5/5...whats not to like???

A fantastic cleaner from the Daisy range available at Tesco.

Bathroom cleaner is something that I absolutely love and as such I find it a very convenient product that I purchase around once ever 4-6 weeks. I have tried many different cleaners over the years and like most people I like to try something a little cheaper from time to time to try and save myself some money. I find the 'Daisy' range from Tesco to be a bit hit and miss, like a lot of budget supermarket ranges, but I'm always willing to try something else to see if it is worth regularly purchasing. At just 46p for a 500ml trigger spray bottle this is a bargain in my eyes and something that I love using, here is why....! This spray comes provided in a plastic bottle, that is recyclable, with a trigger spray. There is a handle to operate the trigger spray and there is a nozzle on the end of the spray dispenser that can be turned to open and close the spray. This is useful as it means I can close it and not worry about accidentally spraying it when picking it up out of my cupboard under the sink. This also means that if I am stupid enough to leave this out that my cat cannot somehow spray herself. When it comes to using this spray it is very simple. I remove products and ornaments from my surfaces and then I just depress the trigger for a long spray of liquid to go everywhere. This gives off a generous amount of spray and this spray nicely around my bath or sink. There is a good amount of liquid that comes out and there is quite a good mist from this too meaning lots of the product is distributed and I can set to work with my sponge scourer cleaning my surfaces. I tend to spray this on and then work around my bathroom spraying it on to surfaces before going back to the first place that I sprayed and then beginning my cleaning there. I find that a sponge scourer works very well for removing any stubborn dirt or stains and as I only leave this spray for a few seconds I am always really pleased with how well this spray works along with my sponge scourer at general cleaning. This spray is fantastic....! It helps me clear any dirt and disgusting scummy water from around my sink and taps with ease. It cuts through residue left from bath bombs (where my husband fails to rinse the bath out!) with ease too and leaves my bathtub looking white, shiny and clean again all over. I also spray this on to my splash-back and leave it to soak in to the grouting for a few seconds before giving a scrub with a toothbrush and this has worked very well too. I have been using this cleaner on porcelain, tiles and lino surfaces as well as my laminate wood units (from Argos) and I've had no problems with discolouration although the usual information on the bottle applies about not applying to coloured enamel, wood, painted surfaces etc and I always recommend reading the bottle first with something as expensive as a bathroom suite. I use this on most surfaces in my bathroom apart from the toilet and the mirror as this is not really suitable for either. I do use this to spray on a cloth before cleaning my toilet exterior and toilet seat but I like to use a specialist toilet cleaner for the toilet bowl itself to make sure that all germs are killed and that my toilet is clean and fresh when guests come over. In terms of scent there isn't really one with this and its not something that freshens my bathroom after use, however, as I use air fresheners and products that really isn't a problem for me and it doesn't take away from how good this cleaner is at all. In all I am going to give this cleaner 5/5. It is absolutely fantastic for the jobs I use it for and I would definitely recommend it and not hesitate to purchase it again.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        Good for small jobs

49p for 500mls is ridiculously cheap some might say. However this bathroom cleaner by Daisy which is sold at Tescos works very well for the price. It comes in a white bottle with a hand held spray like in the picture above. It has a picture of a daisy and the brand name. It looks pretty much like any other branded bathroom cleaner. I use it to clean the shower, sink and toilet as a kind of substitute for cif. It doesnt really have a smell of cleaning product, more like a whiff of just chemicals. However its not annoying and once you have left it for a bit then wiped it off the smell doesnt linger. The spray itself is white and frothy when it comes out. It has excellent results, if you have a bit of mildew then spray a few times to the area, leave for half an hour then come back and wipe it. The mildew comes straight off. It also makes the metal parts of your bathroom like the taps and on your toilet seat really sparkly. Its not great on glass so I would avoid spraying it on the shower door as it takes ages to wipe it all off if your shower doesnt reach around the outside. I would also recommend wearing gloves whilst using it as it makes your hands feel quite dry. This is a great product to keep in the bathroom for general cleaning. I have never had to use it for anything 'heavy duty' but it works well for small jobs and the spray action is very good.

        Disadvantages

        Nice results.

I don't mind buying cheap cleaners and trying out different products to clean around my home. I do my fair share of cleaning and quite enjoy cleaning so long as the cleaner works well. I have been buying this cleaner for some time now. It comes housed in a plastic bottle, it is a trigger spray and has just a very basic label on the front. The trigger is easy to use with a simple press to release the liquid cleaner onto a surface. It also sprays very well and doesn't drip down the bottle even though it is a cheaper brand. When it is sprayed onto the surface to be cleaned it is a white foam, the foam is really soft and a soft texture. It is easy to wipe with a damp cloth. It has a nice smell to it and it isn't a smell that is very strong but it is an adequate one and really pleasant. I really do like the smell of this cleaner. It isn't a nasty smell as you may imagine for the cheaper price. Just a lovely fresh smelling cleaner. It does clean my sink in my bathroom really well indeed, I just give it a quick spray and leave it for a minute or so and then just wipe it with a damp cloth. It find it cleans my sink perfectly well, I use it to clean my bath too. It removes scum marks from around my bath and just leaves it nice and clean. I clean my tiles in my bathroom and find it also cleans them well to help brighten them and remove any dirt or dust on them. It does rinse well too with little effort needed. It cleans all around my bathroom where I need to use a cleaner. I use it to clean the taps and the plug hole. It is a nice mild cleaner and isn't abrasive, just a soft foam that glides nicely around the surface being cleaned. It costs only 49p for a 500ml bottle. This is a really cheap price for a bathroom cleaner and compared to a branded one, I think it is really good value for the price. The quality is really good too and worth it. I use it on my door handles and racks in my bathroom, it cleans them all well indeed. It cleans skirting boards well too. I even clean my toilet with this cleaner and it cleans it well. For this price I will always buy this cleaner alongside a branded product. I do recommend it for anyone looking for a cheaper brand to say money. It is fine to buy a cleaner that is cheap but it isn't such a good choice if it doesn't work but this one certainly does work very well indeed. I rate it 5 stars.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

A cheap cleaner that works just as good as expensive cleaners

I hate cleaning the bathroom! All that scrubbing and cleaning, for it too look messy in a few hours! It's a pain, but needs to be done regularly to keep hygiene up. In my house we tend to buy the bathroom cleaner that is on offer, bottles tend to be used up rather quickly. We have four bathrooms in my house, so we do use a lot of cleaner. Dettol is our preferred brand, but when not on offer this tends to be very pricey. The other day we noticed this little bottle in tesco, it costs around 50p, I think it's less though. I will now go into a bit more detail about the product and why I am genuinely pleased with it :) The bottle : It comes in a plain white bottle with a blue spray handle and nozzle, the bottle does not look cheap and doesn't stand out from the rest! It looks rather posh. You can twist the nozzle to turn the spray off or on. Overall the bottle is rather nice and looks much better than you may think it would for the price. The bottle also sprays very well and foams on contact nicely. The liquid : The liquid is white and foamy. It works a treat and leaves our bathroom really clean, you literally spray onto all the surfaces, leave for a couple of minutes and then wipe clean With a cleaning cloth. It leaves the area very clean and too me works just aswell as all of the others we have tried in the bathroom. It also has a rather nice smell too it. It's very fresh and leaves your bathroom with that just cleaned smell for ages! I really like the smell, it's great. It's not hard to use and works on all surfaces, from the bath tub to the loo! It's the perfect cleaner. Overall : I would seriously recommend this to anyone who is looking to save a bit of money, and doesn't mid trying out different brands. It's perfect! I don't see the point in spending loads of money on branded cleaners when you can buy this, I have had no problems with this product! We shall be using this for the foreseeable future. Daisy products are rEally good and are a fraction of the price! I'm really impressed with all of there products and will be using them again! Excellent cleaner :) Thanks for reading, hope this review helped you out a bit! I will give this 5/5

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

A good product from the Daisy range, I would recommend.

I've used many bathroom cleaners over the years from Ajax through Flash to Mr Muscle but with the recession biting good and deep we've been 'own brand' buying extensively lately, Some things prove to be minor disasters but Daisy bathroom cleaner which is part of Tesco's own brand of cleaning products is not one of them. This cleaner at the time of writing costs 46p for 500mls. The bottle is as the Dooyoo picture and as such is pretty much the same as most other similar products with a twist nozzle to close or open the spray. I really like the spray that daisy has, it seems better than some more expensive brands. The trigger action is quite firm and doesn't feel as if it will break too easily. The actual 'spread' of the spray is excellent and I notice that there is a little plastic square 'grill' over the aperture to the spray which I haven't noticed on other products... though I will be obsessively checking now. The spray is not too narrow and not too wide delivering a good even mist of liquid. This means it doesn't leave streaks of cleaner over the item to be cleaned which need to be spread around to be effective. Therefore the item is cleaned evenly and Daisy can be wiped away with no fussing about. It doesn't foam up a lot as some bathroom products do, but there is a little layer of bubbles on the surface if sprayed at close range which quickly disappear and don't seem to be anything to do with the cleaning action. The instructions tell you that if the dirt is very in ground to leave it stand for 30 seconds. It isn't a spray and rinse product it will need to be wiped off with a cloth or sponge as instructed. I was very pleased with the results of this spray. It cut through grotty sink gunk quickly and just as effectively as other sprays I have used, more effectively than Flash in my opinion. I was impressed with it in my own home but even more impresses at that of a relative. This person has been ill and I've started to help out a little at their house. The bathroom was quite a challenge for a few reasons, one of them was it simply hadn't been cleaned for several months apart from a splash of bleach down the loo now and then. The other was the fact that the washers on the sink taps weren't working properly so there was a slick of soap scum mixed with rust that looked like the Penclawdd cockle beds at low tide. We hadn't realised how poorly he'd been coping so myself and some other family members have a little rota going now. Even on a splash back that looked more like a black board than white tiles Daisy got the worst of the dirt off first time (after leaving to sit for 30 seconds.. I timed it). Considering the challenge it faced here Daisy did us proud. This cleaner the bottle tells us is suitable for most bathroom surfaces, but states that it is not suitable for wood, painted or porous surfaces, also marble, aluminium or coloured enamel! That seems like quite a long list of don'ts in my opinion. However when I think about it I don't have any of these items in my bathroom so Daisy is perfectly fine in my home. I have used it on glass and it seems to clean it well but it was no better on mirrored surfaces than other products of this type, and I prefer to use a specific glass product on mirrors anyway. All other bathroom fixtures were cleaned beautifully with little effort; it brought the chrome up on the taps well too. There is no addition as far as I'm aware with Daisy of any ingredient that forms a protective shield to prevent build up of soap scum etc, as some products now have to keep the bathroom clean for longer. That is something I do like about some of the more expensive brands, but it is not really a problem I don't expect a budget brand to have all the bells and whistles as long as it works that is all that I expect or require. Another thing Daisy doesn't have is a nice 'clean' lasting aroma, and to be honest I do miss that, there is of course a smell of sorts but it's a subtle generic cleaning product smell which isn't strong or offensive. However the shower products etc that we use give a nice smell to the room, and most importantly I know the bathroom is clean so the scent is just cosmetic really. Saving around the £1 to £2 ish mark every time I buy a cleaning product is more important than having a lasting scent at the moment. I never use products like this without using gloves, so can't comment on how it might affect my skin, but with all products like this I assume it would be best to avoid prolonged contact with the hands. I really like the Daisy range of products and as long as the price remains a lot less than the branded products I will continue to buy it.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

A value for money product that does what it promises to.

Review of Daisy Bathroom Cleaner. The Daisy range of household products is a budget conscious range available in Tesco stores. The range is simply packaged and competitively priced. I have tried several items from the range and been pleased with them all. This review focusses on the trigger pack of bathroom cleaner. **The Product** Presented in a white trigger style bottle, with an image of a daisy on the front, this cleaner is formulated for bathroom cleaning. The nozzle has a simple twist action, from 'off' to 'on'. Directions for use and ingredients are found on the reverse of the bottle. The price is a pocket pleasing 46p for a 500ml bottle. The cleaner is simplicity itself to use. Just spray the surface to be cleaned from a distance of 15 to 30cm, before wiping with a cloth. For tougher stains you can spray and leave the cleaner for a couple of minutes before wiping off. Daisy bathroom cleaner does fizz a little after spraying and I find this is advantageous for cleaning tricky areas such as beneath and around taps. The instructions advise that this can be used on most hard surfaces, something I appreciate, as I do dislike having to use several different cleaners in order to achieve a clean bathroom! The spray is a watery consistency at first, although it leaves a white, slightly frothy liquid once it hits the surface to be cleaned. I have used this cleaner on my glass shower cubicle door, the plastic shower tray, porcelain fixtures and the Formica work surface of the basin vanity unit, it really is a multi surface cleaner. Daisy bathroom cleaner is very effective, it leaves all surfaces clean and cuts through soap scum and toothpaste marks with ease. I live in a very hard water area and we tend to get a build up of lime scale on taps and so on very quickly. Although Daisy is not marketed as a lime scale remover, I have found it does the job of clearing scaly deposits on the taps. The fragrance of this cleaner is very good in my opinion, it is a fresh, sharp scent with a slightly bleachy undertone. I always think a bleach smell indicates cleanliness so this is something I do not really mind. I would actually prefer a bleach smell to an artificuial floral aroma from a household cleaner! The fragrance lasts quite a long time, leaving a lovely clean scent in the bathroom. **My Thoughts and Conclusion** Household cleaners are a necessary evil in my opinion and they are something I object to spending mega bucks on. Daisy Bathroom Cleaner is as good as, if not better than. some of the branded products on the market. I used to use a similar product made by the Cif range, Daisy is a good £1 cheaper. For 46p this product represents excellent value for money, the cleaner seems to go a long way as you do not have to use vast quantities to obtain results. It is easy to use, effective and smells clean and fresh. As I do not use rubber gloves when cleaning, I make a point if washing my hands after using all household cleaners in order to protect my skin, but I have had no skin irritation while using this product. If I had to make a negative comment, it would be that Daisy is only available from Tesco stores, being a Tesco brand. I would recommend Daisy Bathroom Cleaner to others and am awarding it a 5* rating. Thank you for reading. © brittle1906 January 2012 N.B. Advantages

            Disadvantages

Will continue to buy this great cleaner

We have started to use one of Tesco's own brand cleaners for our bathroom called Daisy. We have used other things in this range too and all with very good results. We were not expecting marvellous things from this cleaner because at only 47p we thought it was a bit too cheap to give us fantastic results. It comes in a 500ml sturdy plastic bottle with on / off button and trigger spray format. The trigger is simple and easy to use and you can aim it at exactly the right spot you want to clean. We use it all over the bathroom, including the sink, the toilet and the bath itself. In my personal opinion, you don't actually need too much of this to get really excellent results. Just spray where you want to be cleaned at then wipe over with a clean damp cloth. You need to put in a little bit of elbow grease, but not as much as you might think. The smell is quite pleasant and fresh and not at all overpowering. There is no need to have to open the window for ventilation and it won't catch on the back of the throat. It leaves no marks or smears and no sticky residue. I do not know if it is suitable for glass as I have not tried it, but it works well on ceramic tiles and gives them a great shine. Very much recommended. Review also posted on Ciao as sorehead

A fab discount bathroom cleaner x

When it comes to cleaning the house I used to be such a sucker for branded products..... Until the credit crunch hit! Flash bathroom cleaner was my absolute favourite but at £2+ a bottle it didn't seem feasible to spend that much when Daisy Bathroom Cleaner could be purchased for under 50p! It looks pretty much like Flash in that it's in a white bottle with a blue trigger action nozzle and blue sticker label on the front, but due to the price I have to be honest and say that I did have my reservations about how effective it would be. I ordered it online with my shopping and when it was delivered I had to try it. The smell is not that far from flash and it comes out of the bottle quite foamy again like flash. Spraying the bath, I leave it to do its work and spray the sink and wipe that over, I then go back to the bath and wipe it over with a cloth and then shower off the residue. The bath and sink and gleaming and have a fab shine. The smell was ultra fresh and clean and I was pleasantly surprised with the results. The best 46p I have ever spent!!! Daisy products can be found in Tesco.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

A very effective bathroom cleaner that is inexpensive.

I will resist the urge to sing the song 'Daisy, Daisy' as I reckon it's already been done a million times with this brand of products! Let's get straight to the point...I don't know anyone who likes cleaning the bathroom! I certainly don't and I try and get the job done as fast as I can. I've tried many different cleaners over the years, from the most expensive liquids to the rather messy mousses, all of which gave good results at a cost. Nowadays I, like many people, have to watch the pennies, so I'm trying out some of the less expensive brands and Daisy Bathroom cleaner is one of those brands I am currently using. The bottle is fairly ordinary, with a spray action with a trigger that is easy to use. Never had any problems with it sticking. The tube inside always goes down right to the bottom of the bottle so you can get pretty much all of the liquid out. The liquid has a pleasant scent, not too overpowering and it does the job effectively and quickly. All you need is a few quick sprays, leave it for a couple of minutes and wipe away the grime, then rinse. The bath is left gleaming and the bathroom smells nice. This liquid is also good for ceramic tiles and they come up really well. It is good for limescale too, though sometimes you do need to add a bit of elbow-grease on built-up deposits. The price of this cleaner is 47p for a 500ml spray and a bottle lasts me about a month, so good value for money.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            A very good budget cleaner

If you have read some of my previous reviews on bathroom wipes you will know that I like to be able to keep my bathroom clean by frequently using these types of wipes however I do also like to give the bathroom a deep clean as I feel that along with the kitchen it must be kept clean at all times. I don't like paying a fortune for anything and will always give the budget brands a try and see if I can keep my standards along with keeping the pennies in my purse. Daisy is a brand that was created by Tesco and is one of their budget brands, the Bathroom cleaner cost me just under 50p for 500mls which is a fantastic price as long as the product works. The cleaner comes in a white plastic bottle which has a blue trigger top to dispense the product, on the front of the bottle there is a pale blue label with daisy written across it in red and discount brands written at the top there is also a picture of half a daisy on the bottom of the label which there is on all Daisy products. The cleaner is suitable for the majority of surfaces with the exception of wood and painted surfaces, luckily I have neither of these in my bathroom so this spray is suitable for me to use. On the bottle you are given the directions for use which are "Spray sparingly from a distance of about 15 - 30 cm away from the area then wipe with a clean cloth or sponge, for ground in dirt leave on for 30seconds before wiping away" The bottle has an on/off option on the trigger spray which is easy to turn to the on position, once positioned you pull back on the trigger which I found needed doing a few times when I first bought it and then the bottle releases a fine spray of product. The product has a lemony smell to it which I like as I always think the smell of lemons indicates that something is clean. The cleaner works well and leaves the bathroom shiny when I have finished, I have found it rinses off easily and breaks through soap scum in my soap easily which some other cleaners have struggled with. You don't need much of the product to get an area clean and as I don't let my bathroom get dirty I have never had to leave areas to soak in the product first. My only problem with this cleaner is that it doesn't clean the glass shower screen very well and seems to leave streaks no matter what I do but since I wash the screen every time the shower is used I just use a window cleaner on it every couple of weeks so it isn't too much of an issue. The smell doesn't linger more than an hour or so in the bathroom after cleaning but the clean does last and I am more than happy to recommend this to others, well worth the money.

              Cheap and effective Bathroom cleaner

===Introduction=== In a previous review I mentioned that one of the 'staples' of my cleaning cupboard is Daisy Kitchen Cleaner available only at Tesco. This budget brand is cheap in price but gives fantastic results and I use the kitchen cleaner on the days when I want to freshen up my kitchen and remove any spillages or marks that may have formed. It isn't the only brand I use I have to admit, I do find it to be slightly runnier than the more expensive names and it doesn't leave behind that freshly-cleaned smell that Flash does but for less than 50p I find it's a cheap and effective cleaner that does its job well. Cleaning my bathroom is the same, Daisy is a branded cleaner that I always have available to hand and does do a good job at freshening up that room too although unlike the Kitchen cleaner of the same name I don't find it to be quite as effective in the bathroom and this review will attempt to explain why. ===Packaging=== Again, there seems little point explaining in great detail how Daisy Bathroom Cleaner comes packaged as the supplied picture shows how it appears on the shelves in Tesco. A 500ml white, plastic bottle complete with a blue trigger spray this is a specially formulated Bathroom cleaner and the directions for use are the same as any other cleaner you might own. Simply spray as little or as much of the cleaner as desired and wipe off with a damp sponge or cloth. For all intents and purposes this and the Kitchen cleaner of the same name may as well be the same product but in different bottles as the consistency and smell of the Bathroom cleaner is near enough the same in either formulation although the bathroom cleaner isn't quite as lemon-y in aroma than the kitchen one. ===In Use=== As with any spray cleaner this comes out of the bottle in a fine mist and is deposited on the surfaces you are about to clean in little pools of white liquid. There is a 'clean' smell to this which is made up of lemon and something I can only describe as chemicall-y (again) and is meant to be used on the hard surfaces that you find in the bathroom. At home I have a bath and sink in my bathroom (seperate toilet) but at my caravan I have a shower room complete with toilet and sink and use this on a daily basis to freshen up my sink and toilet cistern. For porcelain surfaces Daisy is effective at removing any build up of grime or dirt (not that I allow much build up I have to admit) and easily removes anything it comes up against. I find it to be effective in the bath at removing any tide-marks that appear once the water has drained and it is good at removing any soap-scum after I have shaved. It wipes off easily, doesn't leave any residue behind and leaves my surfaces looking clean and shiny. For cleaning it's fine and does the job you would expect it to do but there are a couple areas where I feel slightly let down with this product and unlike it's kitchen counterpart I don't think it's quite a five star product. The main thing about Daisy Bathroom cleaner which annoys me is the fact that it is not very good at cleaning glass and does leave behind streak marks and a fine powdery residue. As I have a glass shower door at my caravan I find that its a bit of a pain having to clean this with a separate cleaner and would have liked this to have been more of a 'multi-surface' product than just something I use to rinse out my sink with. Similarly I have a large bathroom wall cabinet with mirrored doors and again Daisy cannot be used on a mirrored surface as it leaves it looking too streaky so I have to use a separate product when I want to freshen that up. Unlike some better known and more expensive brands I also find that Daisy doesn't leave behind that 'just cleaned' fresh smell and look which others do and whilst there's little to complain about with how much it costs to buy I don't think this is as good as say Flash or Mr Muscle at leaving behind any noticeable results, everything looks clean though so that's the most important thing. I do still use this though, don't get me wrong I think for it's price it's certainly comparable in quality to the other brands and it does do the job it was designed for. A bottle lasts me ages even though it is used every day and in terms of how it cleans a sink or bath there's very little in it between this and the more expensive names I just wish it had a more noticeable aroma and was able to clean glass and mirrors a little better than it does. ===Conclusion=== For 47p there's very little to complain about with this Bathroom Cleaner from Daisy and like the Kitchen cleaner of the same name it is a product I always have in my cleaning cupboard. It's not a five star product due to the reasons mentioned in this review but overall for the money it costs to buy and the results it gives it still gets a very good 4 star rating from me. Available exclusively to Tesco both online and instore this is a budget priced cleaner that I do recommend, thanks for reading my review. Please note that this review also appears on ciao under my username.

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

                A good cheap bathroom cleaner

While out shopping I came across this daisy spray and thought I would give it a go as I often find that cheaper products work just as well as the brand names. The bottle is nothing fancy just a simple spray applicator bottle and it is designed for use in the bathroom although you can also purchase a daisy kitchen spray separately for around the same price. The applicator top needs to be twisted to the on position for the liquid to spray out and then when you do so you get a good amount with one spray. It only needs a bit of a wipe and the dirt comes away leaving it very clean and fresh. It is suitable on all my bathroom surfaces and as there is not a strong smell I noticed I can also use it on my kitchen sides. I have very sensitive skin so was a little worried as often cleaning problems cause me problems and irritations but to be honest I have never ever had a problem from this spray in the slightest even when I have came in contact with the spray on my skin. My only downside is sometimes you need to hold it in just the right position for the pray to come out fully otherwise you just get a little dribble of the cleaner. After twisting the applicator round to the off position and back on again I do find that this fixes itself but can be bit of a fiddle. Overall I believe it does not leave a strong enough clean smell for me I like a scent to hold after I have cleaned but this seems to fade straight away. It does help remove dirt and for the price I will defiantly use it again as it works well for the money you pay for it. this bottle only costs around 50 p which compared to other leading market sprays is a quarter of the price.

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

well worth a daisy or two

Daisy is a range of household cleaning products which is exclusive to Tesco supermarkets. The range includes toilet cleaners and fabric conditioners to bin bags and surface sprays. ===Bathroom Cleaner=== Daisy offer a kitchen and bathroom spray. This review discusses my use of the Bathroom Spray. It is suitable for many surfaces with the exception of wood, painted surfaces etc. It is a liquid spray designed to be used within the bathroom as part of your usual cleaning routine. It can be used on the bath, sink and around the toilet. ===Design=== The liquid is held within a tall, slim white plastic bottle. There is a blue sticker with a daisy on it and an information sticker on the back. The liquid is dispensed by way of a trigger spray with an on/off nozzle. ===Instructions=== This should be kept away from children and shouldn't be ingested, sniffed or placed near your eyes. You should spray around 15cm from the area you wish to clean and wipe down with a cloth or sponge. If there is a lot of dirt, leave for 30seconds before wiping. ===Availability and Price=== Available in a 500ml size from www.tesco.com or Tesco stores. Priced at 47p. ===My Thoughts=== I like to keep a clean house..mess like toys I can handle but its got to be clean especially my bathroom and kitchen. I don't like the idea of dirt and germs being present especially if I have visitors coming around. Anyway, whilst I keep on top of laundry and dishes daily, I do a full, proper clean twice a week whilst my son is at his Grans. I have a cupboard full of various sprays, wipes and bottles designed to help cleaning my home that little bit easier. I often purchase Flash or Dettol sprays when on offer but in a bid to cut my shopping costs, I have been sourcing out cheaper brands. Last month, I spotted this Daisy Bathroom Cleaner and also the Kitchen Cleaner. I remember reading reviews on it and thought it was worth a shot. I bought a bottle of each and was happy to hand over less than £1.00 for both bottles. ===First Impressions=== I actually like the bottle..the label is eyecatching and the bottle is ergonimically shaped for easy handling. The trigger spray is handy and a decent size for me to grip. As with any trigger topped product, a few clicks are needed to get the liquid flowing but after that, its easy to spray out onto surfaces. All the information I need is present and correct and I always keep this away from my toddler. ===Coming Up Smelling Like Daisies=== My bathroom rarely gets the chance to be extra grubby unless hubby has been in for his weeky bath or shave..total minger! Anyway, it has to contend with some spilled shower gel or shampoo, excess toothpaste and general surface mess on my bath, sink and loo. I find the back of my toilet seat gathers dust and there is a leaky bit too so that needs cleaned (reminded to self..phone for a plumber!). I find the trigger needs a good press in to release a sufficient amount of cleaner. The liquid comes out quite foamy and light with a creamy consistency. It is pure white and has a clean, light scent similar to that of freshly washed clothes. Its inoffensive and freshens the bathroom right up without that overbearing chemical bleachy smell that some cleaners give off. I am used to spraying the cleaner on and leaving it for 5minutes but this one actually does work better when wiped off quickly. I found leaving it too long resulted in it evaporating into wet looking mess! Anyway, I don't use gloves when cleaning my bathroom but do wash my hands thoroughly after cleaning and have not experience any reaction to this cleaner. It is very kind and gentle to my hands. The foam doesn't lather up any further than what is presented on spraying. I use Tesco or Asda cheap cleaning cloths to clean my bathroom and these work perfectly with this cleaner. My preference is to dampen the cloth and run it over the surfaces, rinsing under the hot tap after a few seconds. Any surface dirt in my bathroom is lifted and wiped away leaving only a clean, slightly shiny surface behind. I find this spray works incredibly well around my taps and tiles where dirt is common, I spray it here and leave it for a minute or so and either rinse with the shower head or sponge away and you wouldn't believe what kind of dirt is hiding! I prefer to use wipes and bleach in my loo but use this spray for around the cistern and the toilet seat and it comes up clean and fresh. Everything is left with a light, clean scent that lingers for a short while. ===Recommendation and Conclusion=== Although not in the same league as Flash and Dettol, Daisy Bathroom Cleaner offers an excellent budget option which works well and does its intended job though doesn't make everything gleam and shout "I've been doused in lemon and bleach!". It is mega cheap and I will buy this from now on unless there is a very tempting deal on the premium brands. Everything stays clean just with any other spray though I do clean twice a week and this suits us perfectly. The bottle is lasting incredibly well too so very cost effective. Thanks for reading :)

                -

I feel like I'm always reviewing household products at the moment but I seem to have purchased so many new ones lately that I have to share my experiences with you all. When in Tesco I was looking for a cleaner for the bathroom to go around all of the sinks and the tiles on the wall and just generally clean the whole cubicle up as it was quite dirty and needed desperate attention. I have just moved into a new place and it had not been left in the best way which is why I had to get into intensive cleaning right away and it is not my idea of fun but it had to be done. I saw this Daisy bathroom cleaner and being so ridiculously cheap I had to buy it as I didn't have a lot of money to be wasting. PACKAGING This cleaner does look really cheap, I'm not going to lie it comes in the usual spray type bottle which narrows at the head with a spray nozzle. It is a white plastic bottle in a 500ml size and it has a label on the front that says Daisy and then a blue background and a picture of a daisy and just says that it is a 'bathroom cleaner'. It is very to the point and doesn't go into any detail on the front as to what it aims to do which is why you need to look at the back label. It does have more details but the look of the product is very simple and very low budget looking. WARNINGS This product should be kept away from children for danger reasons and it should be kept away from eyes also. When using, make sure you rinse and dry hands or wear rubber gloves like I do. Also, if it does come into contact with eyes then you must rinse eyes with plenty of water immediately and do not ingest it. If it is ingested again, seek medical advice. You have to directly spray this away from the eyes and face and do not breathe spray in. Use this only in well ventilated areas. DAISY BATHROOM CLEANER Now, to use this product is very straightforward but always make sure that you are not using this on soft furnishings. This spray should not be used on wood, aluminium, painted or porous surfaces and it should be tested first on a small area before using it fully on surfaces. This spray shouldn't be used on marble or stone that contains marble and coloured enamel or enamel that is damaged of over ten years old. When using this you need to turn the nozzle head to on as it does have a locked head. Spray this just a bit away from where you are spraying onto and use a cloth or sponge when cleaning with this to get better results. For really ingrained dirt leave it to act longer and once it is used then turn the nozzle to the off position and this will lock it again. This product has a funny smell and it is hard to describe it smells like soap but reminds me of the smell of hairy dye or a hairdresser, I wasn't too keen as it seemed wrong for the type of product it was. The nozzle is easy enough to spray and I used this mainly on the shower and the wall tiles. I first used a cloth when cleaning but it didn't seem to move much in the way of dirt so I decided to get a bathroom sponge as I knew this would have much better results. As soon as I used the sponge it moved dirt like that but I have to say I feel it was more the sponge doing the work rather than the bathroom cleaner. It comes out like a white coloured runny foam and I did spray it all up the tiles so it would take off the rust coloured grime. I left it for about 30 seconds and it did come off but it took a lot of scrubbing to move it. I think this cleaner is ok for the odd usage but I don't think it is amazing and the price does reflect this. It wasn't the best at having really powerful results and I can still see some of the grime it hasn't removed which means I will have to use something stronger. It is good for cleaning if you do it regularly but for tougher stains and grime then you may need a bleach spray or something by a better brand to really ensure very impressive results. COST This spray is available from most Tesco stores as Daisy is a Tesco brand and it will cost you 47p for the 500ml bottle which will last a good while. I was unsure of it being so cheap but it cannot always be said as some cheap products are as good as the pricier ones however, this just wasn't one of them. If you want more detail on this then go to http://www.tesco.com and you will find it listed. INGREDIENTS: Less Than 5% Cationic Surfactants, Non - Ionic Surfactants, Chloromethylisothiazolinone (and) Methylisothiazolinone and Perfume.
