“ Brand: Tesco / Product Type: Air Freshener „
When it comes to air fresheners I am not really a fan of floral or strong fragrances, this is what made me choose the Tesco Cotton Fresh air freshener. It also claims to eliminate odours which I also look for in an air freshener. It comes in a light blue aerosol can with a picture of some grass, daisies, a tree and I thought this indicates a fresh and scent of nature. The can is tall and slim and holds 300ml of air freshener. The spray is on top of the lid which I also like as I don't have to remove a lid before spraying. When I first used this air freshener I found the scent less cotton fresh and more soapy than anything. After a while the soapy smell fades but it still smells fresh and nice. I have often sprayed this in a morning and can still faintly smell it later in the day so although it is only a small amount of scent left after a few hours it is much more impressive than others I have used which fade after minutes. When it comes to eliminating odours I also find it as good as any other that claims to do this. I'm not a smoker and no longer have any pets so I'm not sure how good it would be with these smells. I hate the smell of food in the house, it's fine when you're eating it but I have no wish to smell it all day long and I find it good for this and haven't noticed by husband complaining about the smell of eggs (he hates eggs, I can't smell them) since I've been using it! The scent is clean and subtle, which is exactly what I was looking for. I also like the way it sprays, it doesn't come out as wet as some and is quite misty. The air freshener costs just 85p. I have to admit that I prefer Febreeze to this, it's the only brand I do prefer, but at £3 for the same size can in Tesco I don't prefer it enough to warrant paying over 3 times the price for it. I have tried other brands of fresh scented air fresheners and find them no better than this and I think it is good value.
Tesco Air Freshener is a real bargain in my personal opinion and I particularly like to use their Cotton Fresh one. It is really very cheap at only 89p for a large aerosol can. It has no lid but the depress button is set on the top and this is better I think than having to take the lid on and off every time I want to use it. The button is a little hard to use on the first use but keep pressing and it will loosen up eventually. It is not always stiff but some cans are worse than others I find. It comes in a pretty plain tin with a little picture of flowers on the front which is rather attractive. I regularly use this spray in our dining room as it is also an odour eliminator and not just an air freshener which for me personally is a double bonus. Our dog has his basket in the dining room and it can get a bit smelly as he is getting old and this stuff works very well indeed and onot only freshening the room but also at emiminating the odours. It does a really fantastic job and I ma really very pleased with this product. A little really does go a long way and I spray it into the centre of the room for about fifteen to twenty seconds and the smell is very pleasant and lasts for ages and doesn't just disappear like some air fresheners do. It's not too intense or overpowering though as I find a lot of air fresheners can be. All in all a really fantastic product and at a price I can really afford. Review also posted on Ciao as sorehead.
As you may be able to tell from some of my other reviews, I am a bit of a dyed in the wool Tesco girl. I'm not a huge fan of aerosol air fresheners as I generally find their fragrances unnecessarily cloying, sickly and overpowering. However, the Tesco 2 in 1 Cotton Fresh air freshener is different. It comes in a 300ml can which is blue with a soft focus picture of what appears to be grass on the front of it (not entirely sure about the 'cotton' connection there?!). It is a lid-less aerosol, so you press the nozzel on the top to dispense the spray which is quite a thick mist. You do not need alot of spray to generate a room full of perfume and eliminate whatever odour is lingering. It is currently available from Tesco for 59p per can. As usual you do have to be careful when spraying near furniture or fabrics not to cause any staining/damage and as the mist is quite thick, it does produce quite a 'cloud' which can fall quite heavily on all around it. I think the fragrance is much better than the usual floral, sweet & sickly mixture common to most air fresheners. I would describe it as quite a light and fresh fragrance which has an 'outdoor' element to it (a bit difficult to pinpoint & describe really). It lingers long enough to eliminate whatever nasty niffs you want to banish (predominantly husband related in my case!) and then it's gone - job done. In summary - this is a nice fresh fragranced spray with a good value price tag. If you want to eliminate any unwelcome odours without making your house smell like great auntie Nelly's bathroom, this may be the air freshener for you. 4 stars from me.
I buy lots of air fresheners of different brands, branded ones and non brands, I do not mind so long as the price is usually a good one, this one is one my wife picked up some time ago and it is one that I am using at the moment since it had been pushed to the back of the cupboard and the spring cleaning has began in my home and this is my review on the product. It is just a basic looking blue can, it just has the name on the front, the nozzle is an inserted one and very easy to press to release the air freshener, it cost only around 80p for a 300ml can. A very good price because it is a really good quality freshener. The spray is an even one when sprayed into the air, it smells quite nice and refreshing and it smells like freshly washed clothing that has just come out of the washing machine. It does not drip from the can while spraying it into the air. I like this one because it has a long lasting smell in my rooms after it has been used, unlike some other cheaper brands that I have used. This one removes cooking smells and odours in the home. I have pets and I find this one is adequate to remove those smells, although it must not be sprayed near the pets as it can be harmful like all air fresheners can be to a pet. It has not caused any problems for my pets and it has been fine just sprayed in the room in which they sleep because I have used it while they have not been in the room. This removes cooking smells quite nicely too in the home, there is nothing worse than cooking smells that linger for some time after the food has been cooked and this spray has been nice to remove them just the way I like them to be removed.. It is cheap enough to buy for any budget because some fresheners can be a little expensive but this one does work fine for the price. It obviously does not have the same lasting effect that a well known one can have but it is not bad a lasting smell. A little goes a long way with this one because a short spray is enough for the room to have the smell it needs from a freshener. A quick spray in the air and the spray does the rest of the work, this one has a different smell to some other ones because of the fresh clothing smell, it does not have a smell of fresh flowers like most others have but I quite like the change of smell this one gives for my home. I recommend this one and I will buy it again because it is really good value for money and worth it. If you are a little short of money and are looking for a good spray then I would suggest giving this one a try because I don't think you would be disappointed. It is handy to keep in the bathroom too for when you need to use it. I rate it 5 stars.
I am forever using air fresher in our house, I have gerbils, a rabbit and 2 dogs plus a husband that works on a farm and 2 children so trust me my house needs it. The last time I went shopping there were none of the usual suspects on offer so I decided that they weren't worth paying full price for and opted to try the Tescos own version instead and I'm glad I did. Obviously the range is from tesco and there are three different fragrances available, pink petals in pink tin, lemon tree in green tin and cotton fresh in blue tin, all of the tins hold 300ml and cost 82p each which is fantastic value. Each of the air fresheners comes in a metal aerosol each in a different colour to indicate it's fragrance as above, on the top of each tin is a solid coloured lid complete with aerosol. On the front of the tin is the words tesco and then 2 in 1 eliminates odour and adds fragrance and then a picture of grass with the words cotton fresh written sideways up the tin. The directions for use are to shake well hold can upright and spray lightly into the room to be fragranced, there are also a number of warnings to be aware of protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures over 50 degrees, do not pierce or burn even after use, do not spray on a naked flame or on any incandescent material, keep away from sources of ignition, do not spray near eyes or face, use only in well ventilated areas. The product is easy to use just point into the room and spray, the spray is quite powerful so you don't need to dispense much of it at a time. The smell of this air freshener is lovely and fresh and the lemon tree one really does smell of lemons too, I haven't tried the pink petals one yet so don't know what that one is like. The smell of the product lasts for ages and even after an hour if you return into the room you have used it in there is still a hint of fragrance. I personally love this product and will not be going back to any of the so called better air fresheners.
I buy air fresheners constantly, I try and buy whichever takes my fancy when I go shopping, I buy branded and shops own brands too. I like to see if I like them or not and to see if they work for my home. I like to save money when possible like we all do as it makes so much more sense so we can spend more money on little luxuries etc. This air freshener was priced at just 82p for 300ml. It is quite an attractive looking can in my opinion for the price and it is blue in colour with the name clearly on the front. It has an inserted nozzle with no cap. I quite like air fresheners that have no cap because it makes it much easier to just pick up the can and spray and not forgetting to replace the cap. It has a really nice fragrance, it smells of freshly washed clothes in my opinion and the smell is quite a pleasant one. It sprays evenly, unlike some other cheaper brands. This one is not too heavy a spray, it has a nice even mist when sprayed into the air. It does not drip from the can and so it does not land on any of my furniture, as I hate it when a spray lands all wet on furniture around my home, especially if I have just cleaned it. It does eliminate odours quite well for the price. It removes all those nasty cooking smells from my home, especially if I have cooked fish or a curry as these smells tend to linger around the home for some time after cooking them. This spray removes them just perfectly the way I like it. It adds fragrance to any room around the home, I like to keep a freshener handy in my bathroom and this one fits inside my cabinet quite nicely. I really do think Tesco have got it right with this one as it is a 2 in 1, so it can do 2 jobs at once, eliminating smells and adding a nice fragrance at the same time, simply perfect in my opinion. I really like it when I have sprayed it and closed the doors and re entered a room as I can still smell this one immediately on re entering. It does have a really good staying power in rooms and it does give me the results I expect from an air freshener. It is one that I do not have to keep spraying for a long time in the air as I have with some other brands. This one is a quick spray and the job is done. It is very good quality and excellent value for money. It is very affordable for any budget in my opinion and well worth the cheap price. I will continue to buy it in the future as it really does the job of giving me a nice, fresh smelling home. I highly do recommend it for anyone to give it a go as I do not think you would be disappointed with this spray and for the cheap price it is an amazingly good air freshener. Also on Ciao under my username Pinky50. I give it 5 stars. Thank you for reading my review.
Always on the lookout for something to get rid of the smell of a stinky nappy in my house then I thought I would try this air freshener as it claims to eliminate odour and add fragrance. Well I have to say that I did indeed find that it worked!!! ~~THE CAN~~ The air freshener comes in a metal can and is a light blue colour with a picture of grass on the sides and the product name down the centre. The back of the canister has the directions for use and the safety instructions, Tesco's promise and general information about this product. The top of the canister is blue plastic and it has a push down centre whish is how the air freshener is released. ~~USE AND RESULTS~~ To use the air freshener it could not be more simple. You simple push the top of the can on the part indicated and the product is released through a small hole next to this. Now for me this can cause a problem at times as have long nails and it can be an effort to push it down with them. Most of the time I do have a broken one so this is the finger which I have to use. When the product comes out of the can it can be seen and looks a lot like fine water. It does drop back down onto me if I spray this above my head but I have now learnt not to do this as I don't want to be walking around smelling of it! I am no scientist and cannot prove if this does in fact eliminate the odours in my house but for me I have found that it does get rid of them. With other sir fresheners I have found that once the initial fragrance of what I have sprayed has gone then I can still smell the awful scent of nappies but with this when the smell has gone then the bad smell is also gone. The air freshener is supposed to smell like cotton fresh but I have never in all my years of sewing noticed that my cotton has a smell to it. For me the smell is very pleasant and reminds me of being out in a field with a variety of flowers around me, saying this the scent is not at all floral but does have a nice summery and fresh smell. It does last a good time once sprayed and I tend to spray it before going out to school and when returning home I still get the lovely smell when opening up the front door and it really is a nice treat to walk into. ~~WARNINGS~~ There are a few warnings on this product and the obvious being not to spray near face or eye. There are others which are regarding the canister which it comes in and they are to keep it out of the sunlight and away from high temperatures and also not to pierce the canister as it could cause it to explode. ~~PRICE AND AVAILABILITY~~ As this air freshener is made by Tesco then it is only available in their stores. I paid around the 80p mark for a 300ml can which I felt was a great price as other brands can be up to 3 times as much. ~~OVERALL~~ Overall after using this for a good few weeks now I am going to be sticking to it as it really does help remove the bad nappy smells from my house and it leaves a pleasant and lasting fragrance which is always nice to come home to. It is also a great price and works just as well as the leading brands.
