      A wonderful keepsake

At my recent wedding we had this guest book at the reception for all our guests to sign. My mum bought it for us from our local Past Times store which has now sadly closed although they are available on line. She paid £10.00 for it although the full price is £20.00, however at the moment they are being sold for £15.00. It matches the keepsake box she also bought us from the same place. The book is sold in a cream box with Past Times written on the front, the book is wrapped in a type of tissue paper which is held together with a little Past Times sticker. The actual guest book is 10 x 8 inches and is covered with an ivory coloured satin fabric. The front of the book is padded which gives it a special luxurious feel. The front of the book is also embroidered with ivory thread, crystals, sequins and little pearls. These all form a very pretty leaf and flower design with the pearls and sequins making the leaves and the clear crystals making the flowers. The whole design is very pretty and was ideal for my colour scheme. The book has 50 pages made from a thick parchment type paper, these are an off white colour giving the whole thing a slightly glamorous old fashioned look. The first page has a space to write the name of the bride and groom which is nice. Each page then has 2 columns one for the guest to write their name and then one for the message. There's room for 8 guests on each page providing they keep their message to one space which to be honest a lot of ours didn't. The past Times occasions guest book is a wonderful keepsake for your wedding. To be honest on the day I had totally forgotten about it and we didn't read any of the messages until my parents bought it round 2 days later. We have some wonderful messages from our family and friends, there's even one from our 3 cats thanks to my mum! Some are really beautiful and some are really funny (mainly from Marks footie team!) but all of them equally precious memories of our wedding day. If you are thinking of a guest book for a wedding I would definitely recommend this one although if you do go for this particular book I would also recommend providing a pen for your guests. Some pens may well run on the parchment style paper or go right through. Our guests were given an ordinary biro to use and this was fine. We have read our book a few times in the 3 weeks since our wedding and it never fails to bring a smile to my face. Its a wonderful reminder of a fabulous day.
