“ Brand: Dunhelm / Type: Mirror „
Just recently I have been decorating my home and having a change around. I am very plain in taste when it comes to things that I like for my home and according to my parents a wee bit boring so considering they were treating me to a few new bits and bobs I decided to let them choose a few things for me considering their home is so lovely and I trusted their opinion.
With magnolia walls in my living room, beach laminate flooring and cream vertical blinds my room is pretty much a blank canvas really. With a new fireplace fitted in, leather sofas and a bright new rug the walls looked really plain and boring and so we all nipped out to Dunelm to see what they had to pop on the walls to add a little bit of colour and interest to them.
I had a very plain wooden mirror up already and and when my Stepdad spotted this he really did like it and we bought a few other kinda matching items to go with this at the same time and we didn't think it was very highly priced at all for what it was.
This simply came in a large black cardboard box with a see through plastic covering over it and the price was clearly stated on that. It was easy to remove the packaging.
The mirror only comes in one size and that is 70cm x 85cm (28" x 33") and it really is simply stunning to look at and although there is a photograph provided on this review, it really doesn't so it any justice at all!
The mirror itself is encased in a black case, around that there is 3D metal art in the form of 17, darkish red poppys with black centres to them, black coloured thin branches and dark greenish coloured buds, almost like a wreath design around the actual mirrored section. The colours are lovely and not garish or cheap looking and the whole thing is really easy to pop up with a couple of nails, which my stepdad did in minutes. This has to be hung oblong ways up or the poppy design looks all wrong and now I have this hanging beautifully as a focal point of my room above my fireplace.
Its easy to wipe it clean, sturdy enough on my wall to clean the mirror and of wonderful size and like I say it really is a feature of my room. It oozes quality and doesn't look cheap and/or and in fact looks much more worth the £29.99 my Stepdad paid for it. Its functional, stylish and very in fashion at the moment and I think you probably guess by now.....I love it!
