Every September my daughter chooses a new lunch bag for the start of the new school year, last year she was really into Disney Fairies so I wasn't surprised when she told me she wanted a Tinkerbell lunch bag. We had a little look online and in the end decided on this Tinkerbell set which we purchased from Amazon, I forget how much I paid for it but it currently costs £9.99 (delivery charges may apply).
On the front their is a picture of Tinkerbell sitting down with Pixie Hollow in the background. Tinkerbell is wearing her trademark green dress and (as usual) looks a little moody, she is also sort of 3D and so comes out of the picture a little which looks really cool and unique. The back of the bag is plastic and transparent so the contents can be seen inside, this meant that my daughter could easily see what she was having for her lunch that day without needing to open it all up. There is a zip all the way around and a soft purple handle on top all of which worked brilliant and caused no problems during the year it was used. The bag is standard in size measuring: 26 X 20 X 8cm.
The bag also comes with a drinks bottle and sandwich box, both of which display the same Tinkerbell design as on the front of the bag. The drinks bottle is plastic and mostly yellow in colour with a screw on purple top, after a few months of using it the picture began to scratch off and eventually there was barely anything left of the design, we ended up replacing it with a better quality aluminium bottle. The plastic sandwich box however is still in a brilliant condition and my daughter still regularly uses it, there are two compartments inside (one of which can be removed) and easily fits a small sandwich or a couple of large sausage rolls.
Both the bottle and box fit easily into the bag leaving enough room for a piece of fruit, yogurt pot and cake bar.
It is not advisable to machine wash the bag , I wiped it over daily with anti bacteria wipes, it always came up nice and clean and we never experienced any staining. Although the picture on the front of the box has not faded it has gone slightly green, I have absolutely no idea what has caused this, the bag now looks a little cheap and Tinkerbell looks rather poorly!
Overall we were quite happy with this Tinkerbell Lunch bag set, it lasted my daughter through the full school year. She thinks this lunch bag is a little babyish now and this year chose a bag with her favourite singer on, due to the green tint I wont be putting it away for her little sister, but I have kept it as a spare.
