“ Manufacturer: Homebase / Type: Bathroom Accessories „
I like to buy different bottles of hand wash for the bathroom in various fragrances and colours but the different coloured ruined my sleek design that I was trying to create. In the end, I decided to buy a bottle that was designed to store my hand wash in and had a pump spray to dispense it. I saw a lovely array of bathroom things at Homebase and the diamond bottle was one of the items I bought.
==Price and availability==
I paid three pounds for the bottle and I also bought a toothbrush holder in same design, it is a lovely pattern.
The bottle has holds 265 cc of liquid and it measures 18 cm by 7 cm and it weighs 290 g so it has a little bit of presence. The bottle matches the toothbrush holder perfectly. The bottle is made from black glass with a shiny finish to it. What makes it special though is that it has three rows of little diamantes stuck around the bottle so it looks very glam. The bottle is finished with a high quality chrome pump top. This screws on and off and has a straw inside for the handwash to travel up. The pump works well but you need to push it twice to get enough handwash to wash with. It does not give as much as if the handwash was left in tis own container.
This is a gorgeous bottle and I love it. It makes the bathroom look gorgeous and it goes with the look I am trying to create. I love the bottle and I love how you can get different items in the same range so you can have everything looking the same. The bottle is high quality and unlike anything I have seen for a similar price, I feel like I got a bit of a bargain here.
I find it a pain to get the handwash inside the bottle as the neck is small and I end up wasting quite a bit but this would be a problem for any bottle. I would recommend it and I find it high quality. The chrome finish on the top, is good, sometimes the finish peels off as it get wet in the bathroom but this is remaining in really good condition.
** I own the new diamond bottle not the one shown in the picture**
I bought this little soap dispenser to have on my kitchen window sill. I spotted it in my local Homabase when it was reduced in the sale. The diamond cut shape lotion dispenser, to quote its full title, is actually a soap dispenser for the bathroom but I decided to use mine in my kitchen.
The dispenser is made from a heavy plastic material but does look like faceted clear glass. It resembles a perfume bottle. It is approximately 17cm's high and is slightly wider at the top than the base. The lid is a simple screw top in a silver colour with a pump dispenser. The base is quite thick making it stable and feel sturdy. The bottle will hold approximately 10floz of liquid soap or even hand and body lotion.
As I mentioned I bought this dispenser for my kitchen windowsill, its so imprtant to have soap in the kitchen and I thought this would add a bit of glam to the room. I just fill the dispenser with whatever liquid soap I happen to be using at the time although now its actually visible through the bottle I do try and get a colour that will match my room. The pump dispenses just the right amount of liquid to give my hands a good wash and I generally find 1 pump is all I need.
I have since bought another one of these for my dressing table. I filled this one with hand and body lotion, colour coordinate of course, and it really does look very pretty, I could imagine young girls liking this too its very girly.
I'm really pleased with my diamond cut dispenser, its a nice practical item for the kitchen, bathroom or bedroom, and despite being plastic /resin it really doesn't look cheap, its quite stylish. It will add a bit of glamour to any room you choose to use it in and if this is the bathroom Homebase also do a tumbler, toothbrush holder and soap dish to match, all round about the same prices. If you need to wash the soap dispenser then a bowl of warm soapy water does the trick.
I paid £4.49 for my diamond cut shape lotion dispenser but the full price is £5.99 which in my opinion is reasonable. Its very pretty and functional I definitely think its worth the full price. I like bottles and containers that I can see through so I know how much is left and this is certainly the case with this, but I also like the fact that I can colour coordinate the soap or lotion to go with the room. As far as I know this is only available at Homebase in store or on line at www.homebase.com
