Bin liners and me are a sticking point! I find they are ridiculously priced and as I fill a bag at least once every two days I often opt for cheaper bin bags. What subsequently follows is me falling out with the bin and its contents every time I empty it! Cheap bin liners are a completely false economy, so I was pleased when my husband bought some Brabantia bin bags from the supermarket. All Brabantia bins have colour coding inside and this helps you differentiate the difference between the bags that are available to buy. I find this really helpful as since I have now stopped being tight (!), I buy Brabantia bags regularly but have two different sized ones so it helps me to quickly differentiate between the two. This also helps differentiate between the different litre size of the bins. There are two main benefits to these bags that set them apart from the competition. Firstly is the quality of the bags, they are really strong and easily hold the contents of the bag, something which I have struggled with in the past despite only putting general kitchen waste in them. Secondly is the snug fit in the actual bin. I'm a little OCD and like everything just so. I find that when a bin bag doesn't fit properly it sticks out like a sore thumb when the edges are spilling out of the top of the bin, but this isn't the case with these and they fit snugly in the bin. The transport and sealing bands make sure that the contents (including any horrible smells!) of the bag stay inside the bag and make it easy to seal the bag. Prices in the supermarket are fairly steep for this, but I have soon realised that if you go straight to Brabantia website you get a fairly decent discount for buying multiple sets of bags. You can buy 3 sets of 10 bags (45litre) for just under £10 where as one set will set you back around £4 in the supermarkets. A must have for Brabantia bins!

good, durable bin liners - totally recommend

I recently bought a 30 litre brabantia bin and was pleasantly surprised to receive with it a pack of 20 brabantia bin liners! Initially I planned on just sticking with ordinary bin liners as I was pretty sure there was no difference, but ever since I have grown accustomed to them and I now am more likely to stick with these! The bin liners are a size G which on the pack says 23-30L. I presume this means that should you have a varying bin size you can still use these bin liners as they will fit in a bin with a capacity of 23litres to 30 litres which I think allows these bin liners to offer some multi-purpose usage and not just for Brabantia bins. The bin bags are 44 x 76cm and are actually quite large and fit the 30 litre bin perfectly. The bag can hold 6.6 gallons of rubbish and so fits all our capacity needs as we really don't throw away that much! The bags are made of plastic, and are white with Brabantia written in grey. This is a bit garish as I am used to black bags, and when I put my rubbish out you can kind of see through the bags as they are slightly transparent and neighbours can see all my gross rubbish inside but I guess I can live with it! My advice to anyone buying these would be not to dispose of any personal documents in these bags as they are not as private as black bags are, and since we live in a flat and have communal bins I am sure all my nosey neighbours now know which rubbish is mine as it sticks out like a sore thumb! The bag has a green trim which becomes a drawstring so the bag is easy to close and carry outside to be disposed of. These handles are strong and can be tied easily as they are a good length making the bag easy to carry. One really good thing is how thick they are, as I have had some bin liners that split but these are really durable and I have had no leakages or splits. I manage to fill this bag up with loads, and even with 3 of us here it takes a while to completely fill this bin but the bag is more than efficient at holding all the waste and leaving no mess inside the actual bin. Although not perfumed, the bags lock in unpleasant odours really well and so they really do such a basic job very well! They do seem rather expensive, as a bag of 40 costs £5.69 on amazon but I think they are good quality and so if I have some extra change or amazon vouchers they are worth a purchase! I am loving them and a bag of 20 has lasted ages and I can definitely see myself getting these once I run out. I would recommend them as at around 14p a bag these are fab and have been serving us well!
