A hotel I'd definitely choose again!

Premier Inn in Caernarfon is a new hotel situated in the Victoria Dock area of the town. It is easily found situated just off the A487 main road through Caernarfon (turn by Morrisons!). Despite it being a Bank Holiday weekend when I stayed there, the check-in was swift. There were 2 people already in front of me and only 1 person on reception at the time, but I didn't have long to wait (There was seating if people prefered to sit while they waited, but I didn't feel the need to). The reception staff are polite and very helpful. They smiled and asked how we were everytime we walked through reception. There was a change of times for breakfast (due to it being a Bank Holiday), but we were told the night before so it wasn't a problem. Premier Inn in Caernarfon isn't a big hotel so there was 1 lift and a set of stairs (being lazy, I chose the lift every time!). The room was accessible via a normal door key (rather than the usual key card). Upon entering, I found the room clean, tidy and with a modern look (to be expected with a new hotel!). I had booked a Twin room (£60 per night), but we were given a Family room (1 double & 1 single bed), not that I'm complaining because I got a double bed to myself! The room also had an LCD TV, a desk & chair, extra towels & pillows, tea & coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and a bin. The bathroom was of average size, with a toilet, sink and bath/shower. Liquid soap was provided as well as Lux Showere Creme & Shampoo. Reception is manned 24 hours a day, which was good to know as we were going to the Faenol Festival near Bangor and didn't know what time we would be getting back to the hotel. Breakfast was served at Table Table next door. We went for the Premier Breakfast for £7.50 each - Not bad when you can eat as much as you like! You could choose anything from the cooked and continental selections as well as a choice of Costa Coffee, tea and fruit juices. The cooked breakfast selection was cooked to order so everything was done fresh (a lot tastier than those hotels which just leave it hot trays!). If you didn't want a cooked breakfast you could have just the Continental Breakfast for £5.25, this includes cereals, porridge, bread, croissants, muffins, fruit salad and yoghurts. If you didn't have time to stop for a proper breakfast, you could have the Grab & Go Breakfast for £2.95. This was a baked croissant with Costa Coffee or tea. Also, under 16's eat breakfast for free! Up to a maximum of 2 children aged 15 or under, can eat breakfast free, per adult having a full breakfast. So that's a good bargain if you're on holiday with the kids! The only downside I found to this hotel is there is no on-site parking, however there is a drop-off point if you need to drop off suitcases or elderly/disabled people. Although, there is plenty of parking nearby. A Pay & Display car park can be found across the road or a free car park (well, it was free when we were there) is ust up the road (behind Morrisons). The hotel is just a short walk away from the town centre. Situated by the docks, it is within sight of Caernarfon Castle (which I would advise visiting in the morning before it gets busy). Having never stayed at a Premier Inn before, I was impressed with the service and prices. I would definitely stop at a Premier Inn again.
