I recently stayed here on my first ever overnight visit to Blackpool, as part of an 8-woman hen party! We initially picked this B&B as it was the only reasonably priced one we could find which would let us book for only one night, and wasn't already taken over, as we went on the first official day of the Blackpool illuminations! Good directions are given with your booking, and despite the fact that none of us knew Blackpool very well, we found it easily (ok...we drove past it once, but that was because we were havin a sing song.....say no more!) Parking was easy, as the guesthouse has its own small, but adequate for its size, car park. We arrived to a very friendly greeting from the proprietor, who made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived, right until we left. We were shown the rooms, which are lovely; There are 3 in total, 2 with double four poster beds, and one which had 4 beds in, although the owner said he could have put a couple more beds in for us if our party had been bigger. As we were settling in, we were brought a tray of tea and biscuits, which was a unexpected bonus after our journey! The rooms themselves all have en-suite shower and toilet (with a radio in the shower which impressed us greatly!), colour remote control televisions, tea and coffee making facilties, fresh cut flowers (an unusual touch these days and very nice too!!) and central heating. Ironing facilities are also provided. Late keys are no problem at all, as with your room key you are given a key to the front door. An extra set of room keys is available for each room for a 10 pound deposit. Should a diasaster happen and you end up seperated from our key, there is a nightbell, although luckily we did not have occasion to use it! Breakfast is served in the bedrooms between 7.30am and 9am, and comprises of cereal, toast, preserves and full cooked english breakfast, with tea, coffee and fruit juice. A cooked vegetarian breakfast or continenta
l breakfast option is also available for those who prefer it. We found having breakfast in our rooms a definite bonus, as it means you can have breakfast while still looking a bit like the undead, without having to be embarrassed about it! Rooms are normally required to be vacated by 10am on the day of departure, although the very nice man waived this for us as we had taken over the whole place!! (And probably cos he took pity on us, being a bit dishevelled....!) The tariff varies according to the time of year and how many nights you book. For a single night, the tariff is from 15 to 25 pounds, but packages of nights are also available for 3, 4 and 7 nights which range between 50-75 pounds, 48-75 pounds and 70-140 pounds respectively. There is a 5 pound single supplement on one night bookings. We all really enjoyed our stay here, as the people were friendly, the rooms immaculate, the food great and the location (a ten minute walk both to the front and the centre of town) ideal. We would all love to go there again and recommend it highly!
